Made an appointment for an immigration medical exam. Loved being able to book one online and choose a date I want. My exam went pretty smoothly (thanks to Dr. Sivanantharajah!), I was referred to another clinic for my blood work and x-ray, but I managed to finish them all in one day, and all the results were at the immigration center only 2 days later. Very efficient!

I called to check if the doctor is able to see my 18 months son since he had a fever, and they said yes. We got there, and he was checked quickly. The doctor also was very nice and he seemed to care and listen very well. Overall, we are very happy with the experience.

Was told to call back on Monday to get my blood test results, I called early in the morning and was advised by a Staff member to send an email request. Waited 5 hours and still didn't receive any response, I called back and the reception advised it wasn't on his priority of things to do. I would not go back to the clinic it wasn't for the Doctors. The office staff are horrible to deal with. I finally got a call back and the office receptionist tried to "educate" me on their internal processes and why it took him the entire day to respond. This clinic really needs to align with their medical staff because there seems to be a clear disconnect between what the Doctor advises vs the office staff.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! The nurse at the front desk is rudest person i have ever seen. I have never seen anyone so unprofessional, disgusting in their attitude or so entitled. He acts like he is doing the patients a favour rather than he is being paid to do a job where mutual respect is required. and be respectful to people who treat him with respect. When we confronted him he said “ i dont have to do anything” If you knock on the door He’d look at you then ignore you and leave you standing there. The doctor herself is actually very good but its a shame that she’s in this clinc

Had to do an upfront medical check to apply for working holiday visa. It's a very busy clinic but the wait time is reasonable, Maurice and the doctors were all very responsive, friendly and super helpful. I would recommend coming here, definitely a good first experience.

Quick. Timely. Great place to go if you are immigrating or traveling and don't have OHIP. Every doctor and nurse cares very much about you and their job, so does the receptionist. I have had nothing but very positive experiences here in the many times I have needed to go. They will answer all your questions with understanding and compassion. I honestly wouldnt go anywhere else.

On Oct 2nd, 2013 I called Rideau Friel MC and spoke with a friendly woman named Cathy she was very helpful. I am very close to downtown caring for my mom who is in a wheelchair. I had to see the doctor about a growth in my armpit and my lymph nodes are swollen. I was so glad when Cathy told me to come down and get it looked at....However, when I arrived ten minutes later an older brownish red-haired woman said there is no way you are seeing a doctor. She said the clinic is booked up - there was not one person in the clinic. When I asked her, her name she said she would not give me her name because she didn't speak to me and if I didn't have her name I wouldn't be able to make a complaint. There are forms online about how to make a complaint against a medical professional .... close this place down we need a clinic in our neighborhood which serves a professional purpose ..... to help people! Close down Rideau Friel make complaints directly to Health CA.

There is something very odd about this clinic. They'll tell you the wait time is an hour, but you end up waiting 2 hours on the outside room, and then another hour in the inside room. Yet when doctor Jaboin shows up, he spends less than 5 minutes to talk to you and assess what medicine you need. How can you not even have the courtesy to take the time to properly assess your patient. I felt like he was just rushing to get me out, yet I couldn't understand why he only spent a few minutes with me yet I had to wait over 3 hours just to see him. Everytime I visit this clinic I feel like I'm a nobody because Doctor jaboin doesn't seem to give a crap about how I'm really feeling but rather what he thinks I need with barely a proper assessment. Worst clinic ever!

I had a great experience with the Dr. Gerring. I am close University of Ottawa’s campus but the waiting time their is sometimes pretty long. So I decided to try out Friel Medical since it was a quick walk up the street. I was in and out in about 30 mins including wait time. The staff were helpful in making the process painless and quick since I didn’t have a lot of time on my lunch break.

First of all the Drs are all great and speciall thanks to Dr Ashton . But the clinic management is so poor . I had a miscarriage without any bleeding or pain and I figured it out by my 12 weeks ultrasound . The clinic reciption didn't gave me appointment for my fallow up session to see how I need to proceed to clean my body from the tissue and sac. I asked them couple times that my ultrasound is sent over to your clinic . Please give me any appointment to see the doctor . They were just saying all our Drs are fully booked until next week and I asked for appointment for next week . They said go to any walk in clinic. They don't understand that I have emergency situation and they got my ultrasound report. At the end I had to call the ultrasound clinic and ask them to send my reports to some other Drs at another clinic . Not to mention that this is happening for the second time . First time they didnt give me appointment to see the result of my 8 weeks blood work. If they gave me an appointment that time , I would have figured my misscariage a lot sooner.

I had the best guidance and medical service I have ever had. Maurice informed me perfectly since the beginning and he was very supportive and responsive to any need or question during and even after the medical check is completed. Dr. Sivanantharajah was also very kind and responsive to any kind of support that I needed, including a small health problem I had which she realized during the routine control. She provided an excellent follow up for the situation and helped me to solve the problem with the required prescription. I would strongly recommend the clinic for any service they provide as they are really good at their job. Thanks again!

Was not impressed with the service. i booked an appointment, only to get there on time and find the place closed. I called to figure out what was going on and was disgusted by the receptionist's lack of professionalism , who told me to go another center. Taking into consideration i was not rude or unpolite in anyway whatsoever. This was very unprofessional but i am truly glad i did go to another center . i cannot put my life or health problems in the hands of people who cannot respect for other people. How would they respect my Life? Not impressed. It just goes to show that "years of experience" can be worthless sometimes.

STELLAR. AMAZING. If I could give six stars I would. I have been to countless walk-in-clinics...from my years as drunk partyng university student to the responsible adult I am today. This place is great. First off you can check in online and they text you to show up so you don't have to wait as long! That's like 1000 points for convenience. Staff were friendly and warm. Doctor was fantastic. They made my visit as effortless and as-much-as-you-can pain free experience. Great place. Give credit were credit is due. Bravo Friel!

One of the better clinics that I have been to in the city, DR Gerring and staff were very professional, attentive and polite. The DR arrived in the room at our scheduled appointment time and was thorough and didn't seem to rush through the check up. The fact that they keep up with scheduled appointment times is a big bonus for those pressed for time.

The reception staff are very friendly and accommodating. I saw Dr. P Sivanantharajah (Dr Siva for short). She was so professional and her bedside manner was amazing! She went above and beyond to help me. Definitely email for an appointment because they get back to you very quickly and it is sometimes difficult to get them on the phone since they can be very busy. There is free one hour parking on the street right next to the clinic. I have never had trouble getting a spot.

I couldn't agree more. This was the worst walk in clinic I have ever been to! I called to check the wait time and they said there wasn't one. I literally live around the corner so I rushed down and was there in 2 minutes from the time I made the call. The moment I walked in and handed my Health card I was told to go directly to room 6. There was absolutely no one else in the clinic but yet it took an hr and a half just to see Dr. Jaboin. He literally walked into the room and said "whats wrong with you". I told him I suspected that I had a sinus infection. He already had his prescription pad in his hand, wrote what he needed to and rudely handed it to me and then left the room without saying anything further. And again as another patient mentioned, he didn't even have the common courtesy to close the door. I am still in awe that a clinic gets away with operating in this fashion. Being someone that lives in this community I sincerely hope that something is done about this and that he and his staff are replaced with competent, caring health professionals. I am glad it was only a sinus infection because I would definitely NOT trust them to properly diagnose or treat something more sever then that. I will NEVER visit this clinic again and will make a point to take the time to commute and go to Appletree.

Went to get stitches removed and used their website to book an appointment. Was promptly called not even a full hour later, and they were able to book an appointment same day. Felt very safe covid-wise, as you don't even wait in a general waiting area. Staff were extremely helpful, and the doctor was kind and efficient. Will definitely be going here again if I need walk-in services!

Today was the 2nd time I've been to this clinic. I waited over an hour each time, but definitely recommend the place. Maurice & the other Receptionist/Nurse are polite and efficient. I saw Dr. Bakezadeh both times. He is a sweetie - caring and competent. It's a no-frills place but has an up-beat feel; the chairs in the waiting room are comfy, and my first time they had a fascinating Planet Earth documentary on the big-screen TV which helped greatly to pass the time I waited. Thanks for taking care of me!

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Please do not go to this clinic!! you will severely regret it. Dr. Joubin is the worst doctor I have ever seen. I would not answer my questions, he doesn't speak English. I had to wait at least 3 hours each time I went to see him, even when I had an appointment. They received test results and never notified me. They are literally the worst clinic I have ever visited. It is better to stay sick than to deal with this place. Honestly, truly horrible

Firstly, the doctors at Rideau Friel all have been friendly and adequate. They deserve praise. The clinic "manager", however, recently provided the most incompetent customer care, or lack thereof, I have ever experienced. At times, he actually applied gaslighting tactics on me, a manipulative form of psychological abuse. This of course varies on a spectrum. It’s truly concerning to have been provided service by an individual so clearly lacking in psychological training or even customer service skills, at a health clinic of all places. More over, his unprofessional and violative behaviour prevented treatment, even after Dr. Ashton requested an in-person appointment. Minutes after I had arrived at the clinic, this individual demanded to literally "step outside"(as in, the both of us). He wanted to discuss in more detail as to why I found his bedside manner to be rather rude. This was an aggressive and bizarrely inappropriate suggestion. If he had been asking me to go alone, perhaps I'd have done so. This was not the case however- he wanted to go together. As a young woman, and simply as an individual, I did not feel comfortable to go anywhere with this person unsupervised, and out of earshot. I remained firm on this. All I wanted was to be in touch with a doctor; to reschedule the missed appointment. Still, the manager continued to behave inappropriately, and no appointment was scheduled. I feel that my health and safety was threatened that day, and continues to be, since treatment was ultimately not provided. AWFUL, watch out! *Note: I would prefer to share all details of my experience, but there are not enough words/characters permitted by Google Reviews to do so. I have a typed description, and will be making a formal complaint. *It is hopeful yet unlikely that this will gather any attention beyond that of the manager’s, but perhaps I can at least offer validation to anyone who has had the misfortune to speak with this man.

i’ve had a handful of virtual appointments at this clinic. the receptionists are all super friendly, they were scheduled very fast, in the same day, and all the doctors were extremely helpful in prescribing the right treatment!

I needed to see a doctor for an urgent matter as my GP wasn't able to accommodate me for another month. Maurice was extremely accommodating, despite running the clinic on his own the day I called. At my first appointment, I rang the doorbell per their covid instructions & was greeted by an extremely friendly nurse. I then met with Dr.Sivanantharajah & she was incredibly sweet & helpful. I ended up needing another appointment and again, staff were very accommodating to my schedule. I was blown away by the quality of care that I received from Dr.Siva, Maurice and the rest of the staff members and am beyond grateful for their help.

Have been here a lot of times over last month and a bit and overall I think they’ve been brilliant! Very quick responses by email, got appointments within a week if not next day. Saw three doctors there and they were all very kind, listened to my requests, were efficient and professional. Great Covid protocols too since only people with appointments are allowed in the building to limit numbers. Thanks for helping me out!
