Horrible doctor!!! Rude, narcissistic, rough, not accommodating, obnoxious with elderly patients, has no knowledge/compassion for physically challenged people. Wait times are beyond believable, 5.5 hours!! Staff gives no information when booking appointments. You can't get anyone to answer the phone and they don't take messages. Go elsewhere. Read ratemd for other recent reviews.

Your phone number does not work properly please fix it, it wont allow me to leave messages and it keeps closing the call by itself, poor customer service ive been waiting for more than a month to get my eye fixed. You cannot do that to a person, what if i lose my vision. Someone needs to get on it as soon as possible or things could escalate quickly from complains to worse, thank you.

Wait times for me have been much better, lucky me I guess and they are very nice there. I see Dr Boyd, she has helped me so much and is kind. One receptionist could be a little more friendly but can't blame her sometimes.

I saw Dr Baziuk in 2006 for bilateral retinal detachment (13 surgeries total). If it wasn't for her, I would have lost my sight. She is amazing and meticulous at her work. For everyone complaining that the wait times are long, go ahead and try a different opthalmologist - but keep in mind there's a REASON why she's always jam packed with clients. I would recommend her work to anyone and everyone I know. I just had an OCT scan done today and even my optometrist was in awe at how amazing the reattachments are. What Dr Baziuk did for me is a debt that can never be repaid and I am forever thankful.

My husband had an appointment here for 4pm and he was called by the secretary to come in 20 minutes earlier. When we arrived for our given time, there were over 14 people waiting outside. Majority of them were elderly patients who said they were waiting there for over 2 hours! When my husband went to go see the secretary and informed her of his appointment time, another patient overheard and said that she had the exact same appointment time. This doctor is DOUBLE BOOKING patients and this is probably why everyone is complaining about the wait times. Patients should not be treated this way especially when there are so many elderly who are forced to wait outside in the heat for prolonged periods of time. Some are forced to bring their own lawn chairs because they cannot stand for so long. This is irresponsible on the doctors part and she should not be double booking patients when she cannot handle her patient case load. They should only book as many patients as they can handle and learn to value people's time. We will definitely be contacting the College of Physicians to file a formal complaint after seeing the way those poor elderly patients were treated. Never coming back here again.

Had a 9am appointment and told to wait in car...3 hours later and nothing...plus way too many people in waiting room with covid-19 ongoing....will find a new specialist

Great Dr the only one of her kind and all her staff are organized and very good working in such a busy office. As for waits like I said she the only one.

Horrible 25 patients waiting 13 chairs. Hot and stuffy. 2-4 hour wait. This is ridiculous and disgusting. Poor management. I'm sitting beside a lady who's appt is 9:30 am its 12:20. I will definitely not return.

Dr Boyd is very experienced and reassuring. Highly recommend. The clinic is busy due to a high volume of patients so expect some wait time. I see the staff puts in a lot of effort to keep the place sanitized.

It would seem my husband who went in for a simple cataract removal now can’t see out of that eye. It’s been weeks. He’s been back. He’s been put through another surgery and given the results I foresee another. This is a very common procedure BUT not this time. All that’s bad enough however, the Oshawa office —obviously the location is due to low rent—had patients many of whom were elderly, lined up out the door with nowhere to sit during a PANDEMIC. It looked like a super spreader event. If someone is elderly and dropped off by a taxi there’s nowhere to wait because people aren’t supposed to be scheduled 5 minutes apart in order to get all the billable minutes possible so the bottom line remains over a million dollars a year. I’m disgusted by their regard for patients. I’m very sad that my husband may now be blind in one eye. Caveat Emptor, even in medicine. The surgeon was Mikel Mikhail working out of this disgraceful “office”.

Long wait but once it was my turn, I was taken care of in a quick and caring manner. Thank you Dr. Mikhail, technicians, and office staff!

The wait might be long but it's not like it use to be and it's well worth the wait for the quality of care that you get. Dr Baziuk is one of the most amazing sympathetic doctors I know and she digs until she can give you a diagnosis to what's going on with you she's honest but courteous. Hands down I would go back there if needed be without a doubt. I'm just glad I live in Oshawa and don't have to travel far like some people that I've chatted with in the waiting room that have traveled from North Bay or further.

We have been very disappointed by the poor level of patient care from. Dr. Baziuk's office. In the past 8 days we have had 2 appointments for our Father who is 92 years old. He was left waiting approximately 3 hours for each treatment which is completely unacceptable. It appeared that this was usual when discussing with the other patients who were waiting on porch and in the waiting room. Not sure why this occurs other than overbooking. Hopefully they will improve going forward as the care once he waits 3 hours is quite good.

Waited 8 hours at ER to be referred to this opthalmologist, only to be called after 3 days to day that she won't be seeing me. Ridiculously unprofessional.

It’s not enough that I’ve never ever seen Dr Baziuk within my scheduled time but I usually must wait a minimum of 3 - 4 hours. Heaven forbid u complain then you’re given dirty looks by the staff. I have to work so having a 2:00 appointment and waiting until 5:00 IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. Unfortunately we are a captive audience as they are only ones available in Durham ree ed goon. I asked to switch to Dr Boyd do I can book on my day off but (of course ) was denied!!!

B T comments are quite disgraceful. Instead of discussing how much physicians make, maybe you should think of where we would be without people like Dr. Natalia Baziuk and Dr. Mikel MikhailI. I have gotten excellent care in that office and I see everyone working non stop to see as many patients as they can, instead of having to wait 1 or 2 years to see a specialist. Maybe you should thank them for that? When I asked Dr. Mikhail when does he get to go home, he says when everyone gets seen. I have also had surgery with Dr. Mikhail and I am seeing 20/20 both eyes. He deals with the toughest cataracts there are; the ones that other doctors don't want to do because they take time.

To all those complaining about the wait process: you see 2 technicians before Dr. Baziuk, plus all the eye drops take time to have effect. Amazing kind Dr. despitr workload.

The wait times are R I D I C U L O U S !!! No doctor should be allowed to keep people waiting for half a day!!!!! This doctor shows very little compassion, understanding, empathy, honesty, competence, commitment, humanity, optimism and most especially RESPECT!!!!!!!!!!

Waited 2 months to see Dr. arrived at appointment to be told that she was out of the country. not much use when you are 80% blind in 1 eye all of a sudden and have already waited 2 months. made other arrangements and was able to see the new Dr. a week before the closest rescheduled appointment here. very disappointed.

The wait is absolutely ridiculous still waiting after 2hours of waiting. There are seniors sitting in here & they take people in who checked in long after I got here. Plz find some other place to go.
