We just got home from our appointment with Dr. Chung at West Oak Medical Clinic. He has never asks to renew my son's allergy test even though he is anyphalactic to peanuts and previously dairy and eggs. My sister in law said that my nephew's doctor renews and follows up on their appointment every year because they needed to make sure he didn't develop new allergies. With this clinic, it is up to ME to call and make sure he has another appointment the following year. Otherwise we wouldn't have any follow up. Today we had an oral challenge to see if my son was still allergic to egg. They ASKED ME what I wanted tested, as if I should know better than them. (I spoke with my sil after my appointment and she was so alarmed. She was wondering why they would ask me what needed to be tested she said they never asked her at her Dr's as it wasn't up to her, they just tested to make sure he didn't develop anything new-which he did this year)I had asked them to test my child for the MOST COMMON food allergies as well as the egg. Long story short they said he was allergy free then I asked about the peanuts again, and that was when they told me they didn't test him for peanuts. PEANUTS- THE MOST COMMON food allergy!!! They almost didn't want to test him again because they were so "packed" already. I had to explain this is important because I need to know if his EpiPen needed to be renewed!!! and guess what, he IS still allergic to peanuts- so can you imagine if we left today thinking he was all clear?! how horrible! I will be asking to switch to a more reliable, responsible and friendly allergist.

Terrible! I waited for 3 months for an appointment at which time I called to ask what was taking so long. Only then was I told that the referral was misplaced. I had to contact my family doctor again and get the referral resent. Then had to wait another month and a half for an appointment. I keep my 5 year old out of school since the appointment was mid day. I lug him and my 7 month old daughter all the way there only to be told the appointment was in July, not June as I was told by the person who called finally with the appointment time and date. The secretary blaned it on miscommunication, said nothing could be done, couldn't be fit in she'd put me on the cancellation list. No thanks! I'd rather find an office who can at least be organized, especially an office specializing in kids. Absolutely ridiculous! So sorry to say the doctor may or may not be great but his office sucks and that's enough to turn me off!!

I love Dr. Johnson as my family physician, she’s very attentive and accommodating. Unfortunately, the front desk put such a bad rep on the whole practice as they are so bad at their jobs it’s unbelievable. Not once have I ever received a prescription fax on time, you can tell how miserable they are to be at work when you’re in the office or over the phone, and you might as well go scratch a scratch ticket if you get through to them by phone with your luck because they are the absolute HARDEST to get ahold of. If it wasn’t for Dr. Johnson, I would have left this practice years ago. I have also seen other doctors who are also very pleasant… I wish I could say the same for front desk.

We used to be patients of Dr.Johnson / three years. We've been never waiting in a line, she was very pleased and confident. Also, if we needed emergency visit we always had it, sometimes with other doctor if Dr.Johnson wasn't available immediately. She is my favourite doctor in that area. Highly recommended her.

Even though Dr Sam has diagnosed my son on the autism spectrum, he would sign some paperwork needed for taxes without getting another referral. My family doctor had left her practice so I had to get a referral from a walk-in clinic but West Oak receptionist lost the original referral. Months later she then claimed to have left a message- how could she leave a message without having it? So I had to go back to a walk-in clinic and when I followed up - they still didn’t have it and I had to go back to get it faxed. The receptionist was rude and condescending. And wondered why I would be annoyed?

I have had a nagging cough for almost a year. I had not been able to cure it either by using home remedies or prescribed medication. I saw Dr. Santadasani a couple of days ago. He was able to determine what the cause might be. The drops that he prescribed worked so well that I am feeling a whole lot better.

The Doctor's are are good it's to bad the receptionist are unfriendly it seems like they can't wait until their day is over which is unfortunate because your not feeling well and this is the first impression you get.

I was just reading this last post about Dr. Chung because its also on the west oak medical facebook page. but on the FB page there is a second response from the writer of the original post stating the doctor called her the next day and explained the misunderstanding. That's really important to know that you doctor took the time to do that. I have seen Dr. Chung in the past and he is a really kind doctor. He took alot of time with me and I am grateful that he did. So it kind of annoys me this person did not mention that he did the same with them. Here is the second response from the same person that I'm talking about on FB: I wanted to follow up on my Original review. I received a follow up call personally from Dr. Chung apologizing the situation and asking for feedback so he can better his practice from his end. He was patient and attentive and assured me that he will make changes, he also explained what happened on his side of the story, and that he will be speaking with his Staff. I appreciate this extra step, as it shows that my son's safety is really what he has in mind.

We have been seeing Dr Santdasani for over a year. He is very knowledgeable, takes time to understand our issues and concerns and prescribes appropriate tests or medications as required.

Dr. Sam, Andrew is hands down the worst doctor I’ve ever experienced. I would not recommend anyone put themselves through any sort of appointment with him especially involving children. Extremely self righteous, does not listen to patients, demeaning and straight up unprofessional.

They Cancelled our appointment with Dr Friedman without informing us. We Showed up on the date and they just said it is cancelled and asked to rebook. I wanted to file a complain. The reception said will look into it and they will call back. Never received that call. When i came for the appointment second time i asked the status of the complain and got a very placid response we will look into it. There is no information available to file a complain on the website. Having said that Dr. Muhammad was a gem of a guy for checkup but the admin and the reception can be a lot better.

Terrible. We have been with Dr. Boktor for six years and ever since he joined West Oak Medical it has been a disaster. We are now changing doctors. The staff are rude and inefficient. My insurance company sent a request for information and, even though I have called to follow up, they have taken four weeks (so far) to get back to my insurance company. Their fees are exorbitant. With Boktor at his own practice a Doctor's note used to be $10. It is now $25 through the clinic. The ladies at the desk are rude and are too busy chatting with themselves to properly deal with customers. The rooms are often not clean including a dirty nozzle used to look into someone's ears being left on what was supposedly a clean table when the next patient walked in. I would suggest you find another practice.

Fantastic clinic. Very new office, clean, spacious rooms and friendly staff. Mandy specialists and family dr's available as well as walk in. On site lab and pharmacy downstairs. Plenty of parking. I've heard good things about all the dr's here, not just the ones I have met.

I am so disappointed with Dr. Marian. I drove 45 min for her to pretty much tell me nothing. She’s didn’t do any allergy test and just told me to give my daughter another version of Benadryl, witch I told her didn’t even work. Never going back here
