REVIEWS OF MCI The Doctor's Office Oakville IN Oakville

Staff is extremely busy and professional at the same time. I always go to this MCI- Saturday there is only one Doctor. An hour is the usual wait time and I have no problem with that as a walk in. Book a time and you are always called up on your appointment time as scheduled. Good job staff!

Wes Johnson

Arrived an hour before advertised closing to see a notice posted that they closed early. Not a professional establishment from the outside either, even with a relatively known brand name. Poor management

Dr. Katary is very component. Her exam skills are good and on two occasions she checked our kids and ruled out bacterial infections verifying that antibiotics were not necessary. I appreciate her not prescribing when not indicated. Also had a very lucid conversation with her on vaccines. I do not hesitate to recommend her to others.

Clinic was clean and well maintained, wait time was short, Staff were polite and professional, and the Doctor was very thorough, kind, and professional. All in all a very good clinic overall. Will be returning.

Dr. Samir Barsoum Aziz missed my 17 year old son's symptoms. Treated him for a stomach alcer. My son had all the typically signs of Type 1 Diabetes, and this Doctor saw him twice within a few days, noticing he had lost a hugh amount of weight, and still didn't request him to get a blood test or Ketone test, or any kind of test at either visit. My son within days of seeing Dr. Samir Barsoum Aziz was rushed to hospital in ambulance, and diagnosised with Type 1 Diabetes. The Doctor should have caught the signs, or at least requested blood tests. Useless Doctor! Avoid this place.

Brenda Cohen

We arrived right at opening time. They got us in a room within 10 minutes. The nurse was very friendly and kind, we waited in the room for another 5 minutes, the Dr. spent a good amount of time talking with us about my son's concussion and what to watch for etc.. A good walk-in experience.

Victor Wong

Staff is always friendly with me. Been coming here for 12 years never had a 1star experience. My family doctor here is the best I’ve had, always feel like my issues are taken seriously. Wait times are the same as every other walk in clinic I’ve had to go to. Not the doctors’ fault they have 3 mothers ahead of you there to make sure their child’s common cold isn’t actually a fatal illness from the 1400’s. You either deal with doctors who take time to listen or the ones that shove painkillers in your face and shoot you out the door.

Christopher Jenkins

Clear consice diagnosis and next steps. Not too long of a wait.

Erin Costante

Do Not Waste Your Time!!! Should have read reviews before we went. Arrived to an almost empty waiting room with only one patient ahead of me (i was there with my 17 month old daughter) and waited 1.5 hours in waiting area and another 30 min in a filthy room before just leaving. Doctor is casual and in absolutely no rush to see patients. Would rather take my kid to emerg.

Izabela Ligieza

Extraordinarily unprofessional and complete disregard or respect for their patients. I got there right when they opened at 9am. Policy was to call ahead and get placed in line. Was told it would be about 45 minutes. Waited an hour to be told I was next. I waited almost 2 hours before I was called - outside the office when I could have gone home if they gave me a reasonable corresponding wait time. The nurse told me to meet her at the door. Waited another 10 minutes in front of the door, tried calling with only a dial tone and finally got fed up and left. 2 hours of my weekend wasted and didn't even get medical care. You would think I would have learned my lesson the time I went and almost fainted in the waiting room and was pretty much dragged into a chair behind the reception desk where I almost passed out again before being put to lie down on a bed. Perhaps some carpeting on those linoleum floors. The mental gymnastics is just out there. Certainly learned my lesson now.

Alex Stojkovic

What can I say... simply the most incredible walk-in experience ever! I highly recommend this clinic and their staff. Period! Forgot all the bad reviews. In this world of instant gratification and instant service, people have unobtainable expectations and if you can’t wait more than 10-15 minutes to be looked at; I’m thinking you’ve got some bigger issues at hand. To the staff and doctors at MCI, keep up the great work!

Wait time is ridiculous. Felt like I am in emergency room in Oakville hospital. Do not recommend. Please avoid at any cost.

Julia T

Best doctors office I've experienced. They are logical in timeliness...I've even had them fit me in for my family dr. on the spot. Also, Dr. Vasylivich is amazing. Does her job. Listens to you. I generally dislike doctors. She's one of the only ones I like. My sister sees her too!

Serene Guan

Went there twice. The first time I waited for 1h, and the second time there wasn't queue at all, saw the doctor right away. Doctors and nurses are friendly and nice.

vivian Polymeros

No long wait times. Doctors are very friendly and informative. Nurses are great with children and always help combat their fears of the doctor.

Bob St. Onge

Very, very slow. Walk-in patients are seen in-between regular patients. Arrived to see 3 people in the waiting room. Waited 1.5 hours while watching patient after patient arrive and go right in. I wouldn't classify this as a walk-in clinic. More a convenient way for doctors to increase their profits when they don't have any scheduled appointments. This is at the suffering of walk-in patients of course...

Uzair Samad

Worst experience ever took my 9 months old daughter in.. waited 2 hours before dr hamlet saw my daughter.. he kept seeing patients that came in after us.. so unorganized and unprofessional.. guys please do not go here. I would rather go to emergency and get treated better

I am an American, I fell ill and went to MCI late in the evening (on their 9pm close) and was seen by Dr. Nataliya Vasylevych. She was quick, accurate and super efficient. If youre looking for a smiley touchy feely Doctor she is not the one. If you want accurate, precise, efficient, no nonsense medical care? She is your Doctor. I highly recommend her and I am grateful to her for the treatment that she provided to me. In short, she was excellent.

The absolute most worst experience and office I have ever been too in my life. I felt worse leaving then I did coming in. The wait time was ridiculous (3+ hours) just to be put in another room to wait AGAIN for 45 minutes. The doctor did not even take my blood pressure and gave me a 5 minute diagnosis which came with a prescription that did not even ADDRESS MY ISSUES!! I went to shoppers and the pharmacist was even shocked. Never again. Go somewhere else and drive the extra 10 minutes if you need a real doctor or a doctor that can actually help.

I had taken both my parents for a regular visit. Dr Shroff not only patiently listen to them but also tried his best to communicate with my mom in Hindi. He agreed to became my parent's family doctor and the experience was even better. based on my parents age he suggested various tests, both my parents are extremely happy with the overall experience. I would highly recommend him.

If minus star is provided, definitely I must give the clinic minus star mark. Dr Mamta Katarey is lack of basic medical knowledge and experience. The reason why this comment here is because I was a doctor in the past, and very aware of my sickness diagnosis should be acute pharyngitis instead of other minor ENI infection. Now my pharyngitis develops to bronchitis, continuously coughed about 2 hours yesterday. Antibiotics should be prescribed as early as possible to avoid worsen infection development untill pneumonia. I visited her twice in 3 days and was rejected to provide antibiotics. Hi Doctor, are u waiting me to sue you if finally pneumonia is developed till I am in ICU? I hope soon you will get the same disease as me to experience the feeling of sore throat like knife cutting in your throat for 2 days and coughing whole days even awaken from night sleeping. Lots of infection discharge from throat/nose and supportive blood test results still can not proof infection is ongoing and getting worse? Lastly WATCH OUT This Doctor if you walk in the clinic, whether you can get the proper and timely diagnosis and treatment is totally based on your luck!!!! Update:After leaving MCI, immedicately go to nearby Maxcare Medical Center, just 2 minutes away from MCI. Talked to Dr Rahul Khanna about my symptoms, throat checked, 1 minute visiting. Dr Khanna confirmed that infection become severe and right now prescribed antibiotics and Ventolin inhalation for bronchitis. Now my case should be closed as I know the right and good Doctor is found. Dr Mamta Katarey of MCI , you should thank me and Dr Rahul Khanna of Maxcare Medical center. If I had no any medical knowledge, Misdiagnosis and Mistreatment will be occurred. And I might be another person dies of flu of this year due to uncontrolled infection in lung.

Waiting there for 2hrs. The nurse was very rude and told me to come back the next day as the doctor was not a regular doctor. Worst walkin experience

Gabriel Wee

Really really slow. No one in the waiting room and waiting 2 hours and counting (sitting in room still) 2 stars cause the nurse was super nice!

Jesse Sibilin

went in with a terrible flu that has lasted more than a week, was told there is a 3 hour wait got there at 2 pm and closes at 5. I saw the waiting area only had a 3 people and was told others were allowed to register and then come back after. That is very unfair you should have to wait not be allowed to leave and come back.

Ryan Bignell

Don't waste your time. They have canceled twice, 5 mins before both appointments. Drove 5 hours for these canceled appointments. They call and warn multiple times that changing an appointment within 48 hours will incur a steep fee but they themselves have no problem wasting people's time.

Sana Sohail

This place is a joke lol. I was told to drive all the way to the clinic, wait in the parking lot and then give them a call to be put on the waiting list. When I asked how long it would take to see the doctor, she couldn't tell me.

Joanna Edge

Dr. Aiza Viegas has been my family doctor for over 10 years. She is now the family doctor to my child. She's absolutely fabulous. She actually cares about her patients. We're lucky to have her as our Dr.!

Upper Oakville Mall. Called aheadon Sat afternoon and was offered a 9 AM slot Sun. Got there and the lineup was already there. NUTS, OR SO I THOUGHT. Was in and out in 25 minutes-the Appointment was honored, left with a Prescription in hand . They even had a super Doc still taking new patients. A meet and greet appointmet was set up- we clicked- I am super happy. What's not to like in this Covid world

Denise

My elderly parents were sent by their doctor who was closed and spoke them from her home to go to this clinic tonight. They arrived at 630pm, called the phone number to speak to a receptionist 5 times and no one answered. They went in to speak to them and the waiting room was empty and the 2 secretaries were sitting there talking to each other. They were instructed to go back out and call so they explained they had been calling and confirmed the phone number was correct and it was. They said to go back out and try again instead of helping them. I get that we are still in covid but this is utterly ridiculous. I myself stopped going to thus clinic in March after the doctor I saw wouldn't send me for xrays on my knee that I could not walk on and my neck and shoulder that I fell on at around Christmas. He was more concerned about why I didn't seek treatment sooner- because we were in another covid lockdown and I live with elderly parents and have asthma myself. He sent me from ultra sound and then tried to tell me that all that was wrong with me was arthritis and my weight. So the fact that I was fine before I fell didn't matter. It turns out I badly sprained my arm and put the vertebrae in my neck out and torn my acl in my knee. So if you want to waste your time by being ignored by the ignorant staff or have a doctor ignore your input on your own health by all means go to this clinic. At best you are going to end up at another clinic or doctor. At the worst your not going to get the help you need and you're condition will worsen while you wait for them to get their heads out of their buys.

Our doctor is the best. And the staff at MCI are cordial. Always have a pleasant smile, that is what you want to see especially when you are sick. Sometimes the wait times is long, I guess as the doctor treating answers all the questions by the patient. I certainly have faith in my doctor, Dr. Nataliya V :)

Heather

Wait times are usually quite long, however, when you get to see the doctor they are very thorough and good and take even the smallest matter seriously. Unfortunately, I can only rate this a two star as the receptionist who is often there is very combative, very passive aggressive and not very personable. Burnt out perhaps?

John Beaver

Friendly people here. The wait is a bit long. I've already been here for 45 mins and I haven't seen the doctor yet, but that's normal with a lot of doctors offices.

Screaming Falcon

STAY AWAY FROM THIS CLINIC.

Aby Alameddine

Amateur hour here. Don't bother booking through their online portal as their website suggests. Those are ignored and by the time they get to them it's too late for a Dr. to see you. In addition, the staff is disconnected. One staff member gives you direction and is very sweet, and another staff member won't even acknowledge it and is condescending and rude (you'll know when you get her on the phone - older, no life in her voice, combative). Luckily for this clinic, the Canadian Health Care System will keep them afloat with our limited options.

doctor rushed. Said I had virus. Then I went to family doctor next day and they found a colitis secondary to boston pizza food This place is like a factory. Stay away if u wanna live

Kind staff and lazy doctor!!!

Great Experience! Referred by a friend for the walk-in and everyone was very pleasant and it was a very quick appointment - not a long wait and able to fill prescription right downstairs at Shopper's Drug Mart. I'd definitely recommend!

Just moved to Oakville a month ago and glad the reviews didn’t stop me from going to that walk in clinic on a Sunday. The receptionist was really nice the nurse was lovely and Dr Samir Aziz was really nice as well. Will definitely be going back if I ever need to.

Nikil Raja

Friendly and efficient office and nurses . Dr Viegas takes her time and really shows that she cares about her patients. Took our daughter there, and really impressed...Felt like talking with an old friend!

bob smith

Worst doctors office i have ever been to! secretary could not tell me where in the plaza they were located, had to drive around and ask people in the plaza where the place was, no sign marking it clearly. Doctor has no idea what she is doing, treated me completely disrespectfully, walked out furious. Would not recommend this office to anyone, find a different walk in clinic / doctor. other reviews of this place blow my mind, make me think that they are bought, or family / friends.

Mathew Viveiros

If I could give less then 1 star I would. I simply called in to inquiry about details regarding there open hours. Do not let google fool you and there answering machine, apparently they are only open until 8:00 PM every day, and have zero intention of answering any basic hour questions. I was told we are busy and hung up. Considering this is one of the only Walk- In clinics open late in Oakville I was beyond unimpressed with their service. I would prefer to be sick then to deal with anyone at this walk in clinic, which is saying something considering you are in the industry to help people.

Cameron Weiland

You're terrible, and you discriminate on the basis of gender and race. The Courts should shut you down.

Jon Stanic

Sooooooo slow all the time! Always takes 2+ hours to even get into the room, then another hour waiting...only come here if you have 4+ hours to spare.

STOP DELETING MY REVIEW. It shows level of professionalism this place has. These guys are horrible I had a TERRIBLE experience here. I went with a family member because she was very ill and have been for almost a week. She had symptoms that seemed like she had strep throat so I wanted to go to the dr. To confirm. After getting there we saw a Male Dr. Katary who immediately didnt even do a proper check up as he just went through the motions as I visibly watched him skim thru each procedure. He continued to say there was no way it could be strep throat it was just an minor cold and she would be fine in a week. Didnt even give alternatives. I ended up in an argument because he tried to rush us out the door when I could see that my family was in pain and couldn't even swallow. He then said his credentials out weigh whatever I thought. I couldn't believe he said this so we left. We went to another office and the doctor then confirmed that she did have strep throat and if she waited any longer it would have escalated to pneumonia. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. they are UNPROFESSIONAL and is not the first time me or someone else has had this problem. The reviews dont lie. PLEASE THINK TWICE before putting you or any of your families health in their hands. God bless.

Long wait for a walk-in clinic (after the registration and also in the consultation room). Total wait time almost 2 hours and no one ever picks up the phone for follow up question. Not a friendly vibe from staff.

R Neo82 (Neo82)

The wait times are terrible . 2 hours wait each time. At least that is consistent. Only 1 doctor and 1 nurse around. Once they see you level of care is good. Very good nurse and very good doctor .

Patrick McAnuff

Went at 15:00 on a Saturday. Waited only 5-10 minutes. Very nice staff, and an informative Doctor. Would definitely recommend.

Adrian S

Receptionist/admin very disorganized, was told earlier on the week that paper work was ready to be picked up. Showed up on Saturday morning and paperwork was misplaced and nowhere to be found. Now I have to make another trip out of my busy schedule which is a great inconvenience and time wasted. Lesson learned, call first. Not impressed!!

Brendan Cape

Unbelievably rude! How can they call this hole a "walk in clinic"? They do not let you walk in, but rather force you to phone first to an unattended number directing you to their website. And to add insult to injury, they have a staff member making sure you dont try to phone them from the hallway. Avoid this place like the plague!!

S Emhecht

Better than Queen's on Trafalgar at least! Were also kind enough to give me a free sample for my bronchitis

safaa Ali

Our favorite walkin clinic so far, they are very well organized their operator is so understanding, polite and professional, each time we go there is almost no waiting time.

Ji Young Jung

The WORST doctor ever, she pissed herself and was so disrespectful to her patient.

Clark Kent

This clinic is disgustingly filthy and poorly maintained. I'm sure that the management has decided that the cost associated with the proper cleaning would eat into their profit margin, hence very subpar maintenance and cleaning. Stepping into their exam rooms would expose the patients to all sorts of infectious diseases.

Jon Wayne

Made a appointment over the phone. Receptionist and nurse were very professional. Doctor got the job done. Was in and out in a half hour. Thanks

Lizzy Olson

Took my son here today and he saw a male, Dr.Katarey I believe. I had a awful experience with this doctor. The staff were friendly and kind, that’s why I am leaving one star. But the doctor was awful, he didn’t even look at me while I was talking to him about my sons symptoms, and pushed it aside he has had a 39.1 degree fever for two days. He barley examined my son. He did take a swab for streak which was negative, but came back and took another. And after all of that and not feeling well, my son was very upset and crying. So at the end he walked out mumbling what I caught was him saying “fever for 3 days, virus”? Like look me in the eyes and tell me that, my son is so sad and crying i can barley hear you. Thank god my mom was there and managed to make out what he said as he walked out. Just terrible bedside manner, I was very disappointed with my experience today. Won’t be going back.

Stacey Hanna

Do not bother going here. I booked a walk in appt for today, came in and it was completely dead. I just walked out because I waited almost an hour when there were hardly any patient's. I opened the room door and I could hear the doctor having casual conversation.

Jennifer French

Horribly managed. Sat for an hour and not one person was taken in.

S. Mann

We arrived at 7pm. Waiting room was empty. Took 30 mins for Nurse to come get us. Been in Exam Room for another 30 mins. There is a Nurse, a Doctor, and One Receptionist in the entire office with us. NO IDEA what is taking THIS long, but save yourself the effort and time and just hit the ER at OTMH. This is rediculous!!

Joel Kissack

I arrived half an hour early before closing and was told on arrival - after driving all the distance to go and see them - that they had decided to close early Any office that has unpredictable hours and closes on a whim after posting hours on the web is not a reliable source of advice.

Dion Bryant

I have had nothing but positive experiences here. Doctor Schroff is the MAN! It feels good to have a Doctor that goes the distance for me. Also want to note that the rest of the staff are totally approachable & friendly!

Manoj Agrawal

I visited the clinic this Sunday evening just before the close and the staff was outstanding in accommodating my request to see the doctor. As I was not well, I am very appreciative of the courtesy extende to me. Also, the Doctor Samir Aziz, who saw me was very knowledgeable. He made thorough examination and provided the appropriate medication. He saw me past the clinic closure time for which I am grateful. Geeta

My first visit was on December 30th ( full working day for the clinic ) and even though the receptionist confd walk in consultation will be 125 but they end up charging me $170 , reason they consider 30th to be a holiday, asked the receptionist to check with their management , said she did and was asked to charge me 170! Outrageous and the receptionist who’s a new hire is horrible and gives incorrect information ! They spent good 15 mins figuring out her mistake with the receipt and no apologies, reason for delay .. “ new hire is being trained “ pathetic service !!

stefan potgieter

Feels like a factory. Poor service and poor treatment.

John Craig

Receptionist staff and Nurse lack any compassion for the sick and injured. As for the Doctor on call yesterday (18/2/2017), Dr Katarey (Female), should not have a medical licence. Our son was really sick and she arrogantly refused to precribe an antibiotic as requested even though he has suffered with a high grade fever for over 5 days and has since relasped today. Our advice, go to another Doctor; we did and the other Doctor considered the history and immediately prescribed antibiotics as clearly there is an underlying infection, hence the persistent high fever.

I wrote this review for the Mississauga office - but this applies to the Oakville office as well, as Dr. Moore works at both locations. I was referred to Dr. Rohanne Robertson Moore with an appointment in November 2019. When the office gave me the appointment details, they did not mention that there was an Oakville and Mississauga location. I showed up to the appointment 10 minutes early to the wrong location. The staff at Oakville called the Mississauga office that I was on my way, and that I would be less than five minutes late. The offices are less than 10 minutes apart. I jumped in my car, and right at 11am - when my appointment was scheduled - the receptionist at Mississauga called and told me they are cancelling my referral, because I wasn't there. I told them I was three minutes away. I was right around the corner. They did not give me the proper address. The receptionist went and checked with Dr. Moore, got back on the phone with me, and said that Dr. Moore is leaving for the day. I asked if they could just make my appointment shorter to have it end at the same time. She then told me that Dr. Moore said no, and in that moment Dr. Moore walked out the door. I got a play-by-play of Dr. Moore actively choosing not to see a patient who was literally around the corner, less than five minutes late, because their office failed to provide the correct address. I never received a phone call to reschedule. I lost that referral. Considering she is a psychiatrist, and the wait times in Ontario are astronomical, I am shocked that this happened. Luckily I have good support around me, but I just hope no one else has had to deal with something similar.

Muhammad Usmani

The doctors are extremely friendly but the reception staff is extremely rude.

George Gunther

Waste of time

Amy Nevins

Kola Belmont

Better off going to ER. They should close this place.

Pepe T.

Don't even try to go on Saturdays or holidays you will find the door closed and nobody will answer. They decide to close early due to patients "high volume"

Courtney Weller

Try and see a Dr here and you'll understand my rating. Good luck.

Angelo Arvanitaki

Long wait times and grumpy staff

Jincheng Liu

the doctor doesn't show much concern for you, gives you very little time and then just goes to another patient. i paid about 100 bucks to actually see the doctor for 3-5 minutes. the nurses seem to be much more professional.

Better-Every Day

Doctor 5/5 Nurses 4/5 Reception 5/5 or 0/5 Depending on who answers the phone If you call and the receptionist with the arabic accent picks up...save your time and sanity and ask to speak to a different receptionist immediately. No I'm not racist, I'm actually brown myself, but the arabic receptionist consistently cut me off, mistook information, and made me repeat my information more than 5 times. I called back and asked for a different receptionists where I was helped immediately. Aside from that. Everything else was great. Doctor was nice and helpful. I was in on a weekday and called beforehand and waited maybe 15 mins or less until the doctor saw me which was nice.

Amy Taylor

I see some people have had bad experiences, but I left my family doctor and just started coming here - I really find the doctors helpful, I rarely have to wait more than 5 mins. I’m thankful I found them
