I hate this place. Just yesterday my boyfriend went in and told the doc he was sure he had an infection in his nose. The doc just told him to it was a virus and to take cough meds. Now the infection is getting worse and we spent all we had on the cough stuff. They dont care about anyone who comes in there. They just care about there pay check.

The best part about this clinic is their hours. They are open from early in the morning to pretty late at night. This is very convenient, as many locations stop accepting patients after 11 or 12 in the morning. Depending on the time of day, you could have between a 15 minute wait and a 2-3 hour wait. I'd definitely avoid the morning time, and supper time (5:00), as those are the busiest times and you're looking at a multi-hour wait time. I've had to wait over an hour just to have my number called and give them my info. They are very slow to process people during their busy times, but that tends to be standard for walk-in clinics. They have a wide variety of doctors on duty, and your experience will vary wildly depending on which doctor you see. I've had mostly good experiences, especially when a nurse is available. They do charge for doctors notes, but only $5 which is cheaper than a lot of places. I've only went for mental health issues, so I can't speak to their quality with other areas.

It would be nice if they answer the phone been 3 weeks of calling and they still haven't answered. Sam ting wong.

Not talking walk ins since the start of covid. Sadly they were the only walkable clinic near me.

Ive been seeing Nurse Practitioner Ordonez for over a year. I really like him. He's very friendly and caring. I can't say enough good about him. Unfortunately everything else about going to this clinic has been a headache. The phone system is impossible. You will be trying to get through to the office for days/weeks. It's been so fustrating. Then when you get through your not evening talking to the right receptionist. And often the receptionists are rude and treat you as if your interrupting their day. And it's always like this. Everytime you try to contact the office.

Dr Ketharaju has no time for new or current patients, and I'd suggest going elsewhere! They NEVER answer their phone, have no voice mail, and refuse to help regardless of your issue. If you get him as your family doctor, you're one of the unlucky ones. I'd suggest getting back on the registry RIGHT AWAY, like I have! Save yourself some time!

Connie

I have been here a few times and actually got to see my doctor BEFOREmy appointment time. They are very nice and my new doctor is awesome! I would recommend this clinic in a heartbeat! My doctor is also accepting new patients....

really friendly and professional staff. The wait to see a doctor was only 1 hour which is pretty damn fast

Bayne Kent

Answering machine says it's open for calls then states it doesn't accept messages and the girl that answered the phone on another number said to keep calling the number that doesn't accept messages. Pathetic

Hello, I just want to give a heads up so another person does not waste their time as I did. My doctor is away for a week. I just needed prescriptions refilled. I called twice during the day to see how busy it was. Both times I did not have time to wait. I was told as long as you book in by 7 pm you can see the duty doctor. We close at 8 pm. I arrive at 6:40. The doors are locked. A patient opened the door for me. I went to check in ..the lady behind the counter was yakking away to someone. Would not acknowkedge me. Another lady finally came over. Guess what? Too bad So sad. You see no doctor. I said had I been told I would not have driven all the way down there. Not a sorry.. kiss my behind nothing. Bad customer service. I have been there several other times over the years ..the ladies were very nice.. Not these two. Long story short..since you will not be told. Do not bother going there after 5:30 pm. Cheers.

Rude doctor that talks over you, doesn't let you get a word in, and doesn't accept documentation about your illness if it's "too old". Even if "too old" means a couple of months. I wasn't aware that critical diagnoses have expiration dates. The quack doctor doesn't listen to a word you say and seems more focused on getting you out of his office than actually caring about your well-being.

This place is dated and filthy you might catch something sitting on the fatty chairs in the waiting room we walked in and walked right out

This review is not for the walk-in clinic on the main floor but the doctor's office in suite 205. This office is extremely unprofessional. Office opens at 9 AM but phones don't turn on until at least 15 minutes later. Once phones are turned on it will immediately switch to a busy signal. It takes at least 60 times phoning to get through. Had a meet and greet appointment with Dr. Nag (Dr. Nagaraju Sannidhanam) on November 21, 2018 in which I filled out appropriate forms to have mine and my children's Alberta medical records transferred (we are a military family that was relocated to Nova Scotia in July). During this appointment Dr. Nag was rude to my 5-year-old daughter and repeatedly scolded her for being disruptive. I had explained more that once I had concerns for her regarding probable ADHD, he stated he would not discuss that at that time but rather a different appointment and instructed me to make another appointment. He also stated numerous times that he was from the UK and the things I was discussing were not things they provided care for in the UK. I asked about a referral to a pediatrician for the children and was told once he had their medical records he would do so. I telephoned the Alberta doctors on December 4th to ask if they received a request to transfer medical records; I was informed that no they hadn't received anything. I then contacted Dr. Nag’s office and asked them if they had sent the request and the stated they had but when I informed them the Alberta doctor hadn’t received it the said that it was odd that it wasn’t received and said they would send the form again. I attended an appointment on December 21st in which Dr. Nag referred me to a specialist, gave me a requisition form for an ultrasound and wrote me a prescription. Before leaving the office, I checked with reception as to whether or not the medical records were requested and received at which time, I was informed they had been requested by not received. I informed them again that the Alberta doctors never received the request and they stated again that they would fax off the request. This morning (January 14th, 2019) I called the office to see if the records had been received. I was placed on hold and then told that I was not a patient of Dr. Nag’s. I asked when did Dr. Nag decided not to take me on as a patient and was told at my last appointment. At no time during that appointment was I told he would not be taking me as a patient. Both Dr. Nag and his office were extremely unprofessional and I would not recommend him to anyone.

I've been here a few times for UTI's and sprains and have never failed to feel well-looked after. (My family doctor is a ride away on the bus and this is not happy with a UTI) Some of the docs are better than others, as is to be expected, and they don't deal out antibiotics like candy, which is a good thing. The wait time is considerable, so I try to avoid whenever possible. They are very busy. I think a bit of pleasantness goes a long way - especially for the nurses/reception folks who are kept running non-stop. I wish they had better cleaners, though, as I feel like I am sitting in a room full of germs often. Bring alcohol gel. Use it.

Everyone, if you see a doctor at a clinic who is rude and or incompetent you can report them to the receptionist and they will pass the message on to the supervisor. Not sure if anything is done about it but if enough people complain maybe these horrible and frankly dangerous quacks will have to face some kind of repercussions. So tired of the horrible health care in Nova Scotia.

Filthy dirt waiting room. Dusty, grimy, and musty smell. I felt uncomfortable sitting there and left with my daughter without seeing a doctor.

Lindsey Macinnis

Depending who you are seeing. I had different experiences. DR. Narra never directed me to the help i needed. Also told me why i cant have certain help, instead of talking to me about any other options as I find most healthcares "professionals " are doing. She told me to go collect my files from the community health team. I called them as they ignored my request as well. No direction or communication. No understanding of why i was being ignored. Turns out. I has no authority to tell them to send my files, she had to. I was in turmoil for 26 because of situations like this. I now have a doctor Manchinenie. (I apologize if I spelled it wrong) He is amazing , he listens intentively ( in my experience) i am actually getting some leaway with him on my side. He is saving my life right now. If you are reading this. Thank you! Again!

Heather

So grateful for this place and the doctors there. For refills and referrals I've been able to meet via telephone with another doctor who has more availability instead of having to wait for my doctor. The doctors I've met with have all been very willing to help and are very efficient.

There are Prisoners of War treated better than how this clinic treats its patients.

???

I don’t know where these rude comments are coming from, I’ve been at this c’inic Numerous times and it was always faster than the Lawtons clinics, and never incountered bad or rude Drs!!!!

Andrew T

Doctors here are wack. Was the 4th person waiting 10 minutes before they opened at 9 for a 5 second thing and didn't get out of there until after 10. Don't bother coming here and giving the extremely rude staff and useless doctor any of your money

Kathy Tracey

Showed up this morning (a Friday) at 8:45, 15 minutes before they opened and I was the first one there. I waited until they opened the door at 8:55 and was seen in 10 minutes. The fastest walk-in-clinic experience I have ever had. The receptionist and doctor were extremely helpful and friendly. The take-away message is if you show up before the doors open, chances are you will be seen extremely quickly. (I cant speak for other days of the week)... overall a great experience and would recommend this walk-in-clinic any day!

Just Curious

Ppl complaining here are just looking for something to bellyache about. I found it to be a very efficient place to go. Super friendly and helpful, both receptionist and doctor. Yes, it's dated but who cares, when you have concerns about your health, decor should be your last concern. Count your blessings..so many have NOWHERE to go.

Robert Ritchie

From what I have been told it's good

Justin Wollf

Notice on door indicates they are not receiving walk-in patients, but only patients whose family doctor works at the centre. Would be a good idea to add this to their Google info.

Gillian Richards

Great medical center, with parking at the rear of the building. Also RBC bank on sight

Sam Briere

The receptionist was EXTREMELY rude and impatient when I called to ask about a wait time. Had no interest in talking to me or answering my questions.

Kermit DeFrog

People need to know that since covid started, this is NOT a public walk-in clinic. You need to have a doctor IN the building and call to make an appointment.

Deb S.

I do not use this clinic but my adult daughter does after her family physician abruptly retired over a year ago. She has recounted myriad horror stories during this period, similar to many of the other less than stellar reviews posted here. Earlier today she attended clinic in order to have her prescriptions renewed. She was seen by a Dr. Nobari who was extremely disrespectful and rude to my daughter. This doctor refused to renew prescriptions for an antidepressant medication and a birth control med. She offered no reason for her refusal and didn’t seem to be concerned about the possible ramifications of abruptly ending an antidepressant medication without a plan. In my opinion this doctor’s actions border on gross negligence. I won’t attempt to offer an opinion on her unprofessional mood and manner. I also want to make it perfectly clear that this is not the first doctor at this clinic to act in such an unprofessional manner and if corrective action isn’t taken immediately, it won’t be the last. To that end I have already reached out to the NS minister of health, Randy Delorey and I will include Premier McNeil in my missives simply because he insists that health care in Nova Scotia is just fine.

Jon Stewart

Normally a pretty good walk-in clinic, but still on a “patients with family doctor in the clinic/by appointment only” model. So not a walk-in clinic at the moment and who knows when they’re switch back. Go to the emerg or walk-in on Baker Drive.

Bernadette Joudrey

I met Dr Ravi Mineni Feb 21,2020 . He is knowledgable , pleasant ,adresseded my issues directly . I was very pleased and he will be my new Family Dr . The nurse in the clinic is also wonderful . Both have a background experience to make their clients feel well confident in their care .

Kassie Fahie

called asking if they provided a service the lady was rude and hung up on me before I even said bye.

Brennan Myette

Very poor service

It a great area. The new doctors are great and I hope everyone will give them a little while to get used to our health system. Please be patient and respectful.

Great family doctor, can always get appointments even during the pandemic. Very kind to my children and I

Dr Amoke is literally the best doctor I’ve had in my entire life and I’m 27. He’s kind, vibrant and seems to genuinely have a good Heart and he’s taking patients I went to see him about a week ago and he took on my family. I’m very pleased with his service

The dermatology clinic here is excellent. Their staff are great and the wait times are never too long.

Wish I can give zero star, Their phone is always busy and the stupid recorded message is all what you get after days of calling and they don't have even a voicemail. I had to come with my pregnant wife and my two kids just to know the result of the ultrasound instead of just mailing it to us. Horrible place with a lot of bureaucracy and time consuming routine
