The receptionist is rude and highly unprofessional. With so many people looking for jobs it shocks me that she still has hers. I would rather go to a walk in clinic and wait hours then go back.

Dr. Irene Mong is fantastic - understanding, great questions and explanations, my treatment needs/wants are taken into account, and she is wonderful with young children as well.

Wow, made a call here and the receptionist was so rude I'm shaking right now. You should not have to talk to somebody like that about such personal issues. It's very upsetting. I don't want to have to share personal information with a stranger just so I can see a doctor. She just told me to go to my doctor. Maybe I have reasons for not wanting my doctor checking out my lady parts. She was so rude! I don't get upset from people that much but wow, fire her immediately. She is turning away customers. Also, when I told her I hadn't had sex yet, she asked how old I was. What the heck!?

Dr. Natasha Deshwal is AMAZING! Sure, there's a wait to get in to see her (like every clinic) but it's definitely worth it. She was polite, caring and very personable to talk to. I did not feel the slightest bit uncomfortable discussing my issues with her and I will definitely be back to this clinic. If you're a female in HFX, without a family doctor (like myself), go see Dr. Natasha Deshwal!!!!!!!!

Dr. Mong is thorough and diligent. She is highly knowledgeable, open minded and kind. I am very glad to have her as our family doctor. As far as admin goes, let your own ego go and whether you are just booking an appointment or calling for information, it will get done. They are doing their job as reception and that is what matters.

Dr. Natasha Deshwal is phenomenal. She's been with us since my son was a baby (he's 10 now) and when we had a crushing health crises when he was 2, we wouldn't have made it without her. Even though the IWK lead the fight, she was with my husband and I every step of the way. I cannot thank her enough. Even now, she's a thoughtful and thorough doctor. She's not shy about running tests, and I feel very safe in her hands. There was a receptionist there a bit ago that was horrible and rude. She's gone now, and I've never had an issue with her new receptionist.

Dr. Natasha Deshwal was AMAZING, she made me feel so comfortable and informed. I was very nervous, as I had a poor experience elsewhere prior to this visit, and Dr. Natasha Deshwal was so personable and welcoming, it was very refreshing! I will definitely be returning to this clinic!

I've been going here since I was about 11 and I am 16 now, but I am not surprised that others have said this. The receptionists are really rude and it takes them about 5 minutes from when they see you at the desk to when they actually serve you. Other then that, the doc that I see here is really nice and other than the receptionists, I would really recommend going there if they have space for new patients!

I LOVE the doctors here, but the receptionist is horrible. She's got the snottiest attitude I've ever seen or heard. When you call, she makes you feel like a bother, she literally will sigh in your ear when you ask her to look something up. Just all around not a good person . zero empathy. She does NOT belong in a medical office.

Went to my doctor Dr. Natasha Deshwal today can't say enough about her she makes you feel so comfortable she truly cares . Also Meagan at the desk when you first arrive is so friendly wow great personality. This is a big change from the past !!! Thank-you

The receptionist at this clinic is extremely rude and challenging to deal with. Although Dr. Mong is great, having to be mistreated by the receptionist each time I call to book an appointment or make an inquiry is enough to have me searching for another doctor. As someone who works in the medical field, I know how important it is to have a compassionate and caring individual as the first point of contact for patients. In a busy medical office, it can be difficult to remember to be pleasant to patients but I hope the receptionist realizes patients calling in may be in a vulnerable position and could use a courtesy and compassion. Perhaps management can provide additional coaching.

Just posted in from Ottawa. My wife was calling around looking for doctor for her and my daughter. She contacted this clinic and to her and my surprise she spoke with the rudest receptionist ever. I understand if clinics do not ever take new clients. But don't yell and very rudely attack the person on the other end of the phone. I will never speak highly of this clinic. Actually quite the opposite. We thought everyone in nova Scotia was nice. We finally found one that is not. Not worth the call or your time.
