I, now, ABSOLOUTLY LOVE whom I see regularly at this office, Dr. Chanda, she is just amazing and cares about her patients like no other Dr I have ever had! She calls me at home, when she says she will, and talks with me like I DO matter, and all of my concerns are paid attention too, each and EVERY time! She is so compassionate and caring about everyone she sees! I feel very blessed to have found her through the struggles this office has had over the recent years!
There are a couple issues with this office although. The wait times for apts are pretty long waits, when you call for an apt it takes quite some time to get in to see someone, unless it's an emergency! Although, when I had a traumatic accident at the end of February, it took me calling for 3 straight days, from open until close, leaving messages with the answering service, at least 5 times in 3 days, I finally got through on Wednesday and couldn't get an emergency appointment until 2 days later, because of the amount of patients currently at the office. I learned that there are ONLY 3 phone lines for the office, and it's nearly impossible to get through to someone! I learned to physically go to the office when I need something, like make an appointment or ask a question, because it takes less time to drive there and do that vs calling and calling over and OVER again to try and speak with someone or make an appointment. I mainly blame the answering service for those issues of no call backs and those things.
I also learned that the patient load is extreme because of the fact each physician that took over the practice has brought their patient loads with them, on TOP of taking all the patients who were origional at Lewiston Primary/Lewiston Family Medicine. I also have noticed that plenty of times that something was supposed to have been sent, pharmacy, tests & etc , had not been done. I have had plenty of issues where I was told the front office would be calling me on a certain day, and they never had. I also had issues leaving messages with he front office for Dr. Chanda to call me back, and before they knew my accident was so bad, I hadn't heard from her, but, I can say that now is different. I believe that they are just overloaded, overwhelmed and so busy that they try to keep up, and sometimes it's just too overwhelming for them to get it all done on time. EVERYONE there is just AMAZING and EXTREMELY NICE AND CARING! I wouldn't change my Primary unless I ABSOLOUTLY HAD TOO! I would follow Dr. Chanda to whichever practice she goes too, unless it's more than and hour or 2 away!!
I know this is a long review, but I did give them 4 out of 5 starts, because they ALL deserve high ratings! The reason they lost 1 ☆ is because of the phone lines, mainly, and then also, the fact that sometimes things get lost on the shuffle because of the answering service! I think they should be replaced. And possibly, when the lines are busy for hours and days at a time, get more lines, or have those 'busy line calls' routed through the answering service. That way it will be easier for the patients and the hard working fro my office! I'm sure it would help them out a great deal!
I can NOT say enough great things about Chanda! She is just amazing and such a wonderful and caring professional whom, I know because I was told, that she actually worried about those patients whom are having serious issues, and that she always checks up on them! Just an amazing woman all together!!
Also, Dr. Vivian Gerradi works at this location 1 day per week, she is also a very caring and AMAZING person and wonderful in her field of expertise! I am thrilled I was referred to her for my therapy sessions! I just can not praise her enough! Wonderfully amazing woman!!
I hope this helps someone.
