As someone who both loathes and fears going to the dentist, I was incredibly nervous to try out a new dentist. The team here made the experience so safe and welcoming. They walk you through every step, and want you to feel as comfortable as you can while getting dental work done. Dr.Lam and the team are dedicated to excellent client care and it shows!

I am very grateful to have been referred to see Dr Hedy Lam & Uptown Family Dental. Like many people, I'm an anxious patient but the staff are very welcoming and put me at ease. I had several major fillings replaced (after some questionable care from a previous provider) and Dr Lam explained everything and is very skilled with the anesthesia. She managed two difficult repairs that could have resulted in root canals, but 4 months later everything seems stable and strong. The office staff processed my claims without any effort on my behalf. I just got a call to book my next cleaning, and I'm feeling happy to have found a place close to home that I trust for my care. Thanks Uptown & Dr Lam!

Everybody is kind and welcoming. They are compassionate and do great work. I had my wisdom tooth pulled and shockingly had very little pain. Everyone here helps to make going to dentist easier. From the receptionists to the dental assistants to the dentist herself. They don't hound you with calls or emails telling you to come in every few days, like many other dentist offices. When I get my reminder call I know it's because it's actually time for my check up and not just a sales call.

I take the extra time to drive out here from Vancouver after some bad experiences with my previous dentist. It is worth the trip to get trustworthy care. Dr. Lam has taken great care of me, even fixing an uncomfortable filling that was not her work to begin with.

Giving credit where credit is due. I moved from North Vancouver to New Westminster five years ago. I was shopping around the area for dental practices online. Somehow, I bumped into Dr. Lam’s office and made appointments as I haven't got a check up for a long time. I became a regular patient since then. I have been recommending my friends and family to the practice. The assistants, Nancy and Caitlin are very helpful and friendly. The office manager, Laura, is extremely helpful and kind. She deals with the insurance for me professionally and efficiently that I did not have to pay on my own at first (my last dental office didn't do that, I had to pay at first and claim later). I love the hygienist, Vicky, who is very gentle with the manual scaling and root planning. Dr Lam is very caring and knowledgeable. She takes her time to explain thoroughly what needs to be done. J. Have been going to this dental practice since 2000... Dr. Lam and staff are Amazing. Would highly recommend. Will be sad to leave once I move out of province next year but hopeful to find a dental office just as good near my new home. Dr. Lam, Nancy, Laura, Vicky & Staff, you are all Awesome!!
