I would put zero if I could. I was seen by Dr. Lam. I started to have problems with one eye, after first tests, Dr.Lam said "there is nothing we can do, you are not getting younger, welcome to being old" (I'm 35). After 3 months my second eye started having same issues. During follow up appointment he said that it seems like uveitis now (and he didn't notice it during first appointment) and I need to do X-ray and bloodwork and see him again to confirm the diagnosis and start treatment. I did all the tests. No one called from the office to book an appointment (in 3 weeks). After many attempts I finally get real person on the phone, asking when do I need to come in. The person's reply: "doctor got your results, there is nothing concerning, you don't need to come in". I asked what about the treatment and my diagnosis. She: "please wait on line, I need to confirm, thank you, bye" and she hung up. No one called me back. (I did see another doctor for the second opinion, and he saw the problem right away, and now I will be seen by a specialist). But I spent 3 months doing nothing (and my vision got worse), because of this place and Dr.Lam's "opinion".

My father waited for over 3 hours for a scheduled appointment. Not enough staff to handle high number of appointments.

Doctors there are amazing but the wait is terribly long. I would wait at least 45 min to get eye drops then another 45 min to 1 hr to be seen by the doctor.

Went there today for a fluorescein angiography requested by my ophthalmologist. Was advised to check in 15 minutes prior to my appointment. So I got there with my husband about 25 minutes earlier. The waiting area was full of people. The receptionist was welcoming. It didn’t take very long before my name was called. The R.N. Janice was very friendly. She explained the procedure to me clearly and patiently. All in all the procedure was quick and easy. The staff was very efficient and professional. I am totally impressed despite some of the posted negative comments.

They saw my mom right away for her torn retina and made her a priority, even staying after hours to help her, it was a long wait but since a lot of people clearly have had this issue I can understand why the wait was so long. I'm very thankful that they took care of her when the issue arose and fixed her torn retina.

The doctors and staff are great but they overbook. As a result you have to wait hours sometimes for your appointment.

Never had to wait to be called into the office to see the doctor or for the exam. I do feel that they are a bit abrupt when putting in the eye drops to dilate your eyes, but also understand that they have many patients. I have been seeing Dr Steve Levasseur and he's a great doctor.

Very professional Doctors and Staff. Thank you for saving my eyesight after a retina detachment

Doctors have been great so far but some of the support staff here are very unprofessional. Multiple times now after phoning this office I am left feeling very frustrated after being cut off consistantly. Let a patient explain the nature of their call... I understand that you need my name and birth date but you do also need to know why I am calling. If you need that information before a word has even exited my mouth then lead with that. Ask first. Don't wait untill I've said half a sentence and then cut me off. On one call when I was feeling anxious about an eye laser procedure I asked if it was painful and the receptionist laughed and said "well yeaaa." If I behaved like this at my medical office job the Doctors would not be happy with me and the clients would not return.

Dr. Leah Wittenberg is the most amazing eye surgeon! Her staff is second to none. Amazingly well run place, very busy.

The staff here are extremely friendly and patient. There are patients from all walks of life and languages and are here because of undesirable circumstances. Their calm demeanour and kindness is just we they need during this stressful time. My only negative comment is the doctors feel rushed when patients have so many questions. My wife came for a detaching retina and this scary event needed their comfort. I wish there were better resources for patients to refer to when they have questions after they leave.

Waiting over two hours past your appointment is not acceptable but everything else is great

Disgusting! My senior mom had an appointment there last week. She was told the appointment would be over an hour so asked to use the washroom 1st. The rude uncaring receptionist told her to use the porta potty across the parking lot. She went in and was disgusted at how dirty it was. Clothing left behind, hadn't been cleaned for a while and no handsanitizer. When she told the receptionist she didn't care at all. She asked if she could at least wash her hands, the receptionist said no, cause she'd have to clean the bathroom after her. My senior mother has been so careful to not get covid and has been home quarenting herself and now exposed by this uncaring office. The receptionist should be fired and they should let patients use their washrooms! So DISGUSTING.

I was referred to this office the day after my optometrist found a small tear in my left retina. I was given an appointment that day. Dr Steve Levasseur, examined my retinas, and had a laser repair done immediately by Dr Messinas (I hope this is the correct name). The procedure was quick and painless, with no adverse after effects. I was very impressed by the professional way everything was handled, and the short time involved.
