We were provided with careful and accurate instructions for before and after care so very pleased with the overall experience. The staff and doctor were calm, knowledgeable and very helpful throughout the entire process. The only setback was the location for the procedure. We are located in Vancouver and we were expecting to have the procedure for my son done at their Vancouver clinic but we were told that we had to take him to New Westminster and only one parent was allowed to attend (due to covid). It was a lot of juggling for one parent to take care of everything. It would have made a difference to be closer to home.

Staff was friendly; but the service alone felt very unprofessional. When we arrived we were asked to assure his diaper was clean. In the time we spent waiting, he had soiled his diaper twice. They came in to fasten and strap him down to the table- but the doctor hadn’t come into the room for an additional 35 minutes. Would recommend others find another clinic as this one is entirely monetary based and has zero care or concern for the patients or parents.

We were a little late to the game and took my son when he was 10 months old. Dr. Chang was very nice and he did a great job. We are very happy with the results and how fast our son is healing. The only feedback we have is the first time around when we wanted to book our son for the procedure when he was a newborn, we got so little attention from the staff at the clinic that we decided to cancel our appointment and take our son back to our country to do the procedure. But then Covid happened and we never went back home and so we decided to go to Dr. Pollock's clinic. But this time around we were very happy with the staff and nurses and the whole process.

This place is disgusting!!! They botched my son's circumcision and he's got a lot of extra skin. Our entire experience was disgusting from the moment we walked in. They book so many appointments that people have to sit on the floor outside in the hall. The receptionists are as rude as can be!! Then when you go in, they set the kids up like an assembly line. They put the numbing medicine on and didn't come to get us for over an hour. Then when that cocky doctor came in, he was totally unprofessional. While chewing his food, he started to inject my sons genital with medication. He was in such a rush, that he pushed the syringe so hard, it squirted all over my son and straight in to my face. He did the procedure so quick and showed very little compassion. That place is just a cash cow. At $450 a pop, they had 36 procedures scheduled that day. You do the math.

I had Dr. Chang and opted for the premium package for "no needle, no scalpel vasectomy". There was mild pain and discomfort, but less than I was expecting for a surgery using local anaesthetic only. Manageable residual pain afterwards, but so far a lot less problems and pain than other men have described from vasectomies by other doctors. The staff are friendly, helpful, and respectful. Dr. Chang has excellent bedside manner. Recommended.

I firstly booked a consultation and then circumcision surgery with Dr. Chang. It was a pretty satisfying experience. The front desk and medical assistances are nice and helpful. Dr. Chang is an excellent physician. He's knowledgeable and always patient to answer questions. I took the surgery and I have been nicely taken care of. Recently went to Pollock Clinics in New Westminster for my sons infant circumcision. Even during these difficult times with Covid Clinic was well prepared clean and professional. The Nurses were very thorough explaining everything before the procedure and the after care. Dr Chang is a very calm professional doctor, and did a excellent job. And if I had any questions or concerns after the procedure, I was able to speak with Dr Chang directly about my concerns, which gave me comfort knowing I could easily contact the Clinic / Doctor. I was so nervous about my sons procedure but Dr. Chang and everyone at the Pollock Clinc was wonderful. So reassuring knowledgeable and kind. After it was over the nurses gave me all the aftercare information and instructions so we felt confident upon leaving. We followed up with Dr. Chang via email a few days later with photos of how he was healing. Dr. Chang was quick at getting back to us and everything was looking great we got to resume our normal routines a few days later. I definitely will go back to the Pollock clinic in the future if I have another son !

I see some people complain about bed side manner. I found the complete opposite. Yes he is busy, that is a good thing. I found he goes off how the patient is. I was quiet at first and so was he. When I asked a question during the vasectomy he took the time to answer then asked me follow up questions as he worked. He did a great job of trying to keep me calm. When he was done he left. He's a doctor who has other patients. All in all everything went as I expected.

I called Dr. Pollock's office to ask a question for my husband regarding a potential vasectomy. The receptionist was incredibly rude to me right off the bat. She was clearly annoyed that I called and was insensitive and unfriendly. My question was simple, not an out of the ordinary question. It caught me off guard as it is a big deal for men to do this and some feel nervous etc. I was expecting a bit more warmth and care from their office. Or at least friendly staff. Because of this we are going to Dr. Follows in Langley where the staff are supportive and helpful. I don't recommend this team to anyone.

This is by far the worst customer service from anywhere I've ever incountered before. First the good: this guy does loads of vasectomies and is technically good at doing it. The bad: An android would have more personality than this guy. I honestly thought I was on candid camera at one point. During our initial consultation, after a 2 minute and very robotic synopsis of the procedure, he actually began walking out the door when he asked me if I had any questions. After the procedure, he finished, took off his gloves and said "Thank you, you'll be fine" with no eye contact while walking to the door. I suspect he suffers from mild Asperger syndrome. Or is simply a jerk.

We have been trying to make these arrangements to no avail for a long time now and all I am met with is an EXTREMELY rude, demeaning, poor english speaking excuse for a receptionist… Ive been told conflicting information each time I’ve spoken to someone. Spent ages on the phone trying to decipher the phone answering system which I can only believe is in some sort of code as neither I nor my husband can crack it. My husband works all day past their opening hours and I was told he HAD to phone by 5. he managed to rush home early and phoned at 4:45 to which we got the dreaded machine msg. I emailed right away and the Dr emailed back his cell #, within a minute my husband phoned him back and was met with confusion by the Dr who when my husband said his name the Dr said "so what do you want to talk about"...umm....perhaps you tell me? when I got on the phone and explained who we were and what we were calling about, the Dr told me that I could be the one to deal with arrangements as my husband works. he told me to phone his cell at 7:30 the next am to discuss. when I phoned at 7:30 the next morning he immediately passed me to the horrible receptionist I now know to be called "grace" (hilarious) who once again was confused and angry at me for being the one to phone instead of my husband, I tried to calmly explain to her the Dr had told me I could talk to which she asked him in the background and he said no it had to be my husband!!! I understand its for legal reasons but why tell me it can be me when it cant??? we will be taking our business else wear and advising others to do the same. very poor service, very confused Dr and VERY rude and insensitive “receptionist”….clearly they spend more time working on their extensive and confusing phone msg saying how Wonderfull and world renowned the Dr is than actually trying to be understanding, caring or helping people during a sensitive time...DON'T GO HERE!

The two years delaying and the anxiety over my vasectomy was far worse than the actual procedure! The staff at the New Westminster Pollock clinic was friendly and professional. You will be at the office for about an hour and the procedure takes less than ten minutes (I wasn’t timing but probably 5-7 mins). The procedure was pain free – you don’t really feel anything just a slight flick for the freezing. The nervousness in my head before and during the procedure is what caused the discomfort. The day of the procedure I took it easy and was tired after. I am glad that it is over and wish I hadn’t been so anxious before. If you have been thinking about a vasectomy and are ready this is the place to go!

Before going in, I was super nervous specifically because of reading some reviews about the staff not being friendly and caring so I had this terrible picture in my head but since this clinic is one of the few places for circumcision in Vancouver,I decided to go in. To my surprise, everyone was very nice. Before the procedure the nurse changed the diaper and the procedure itself was very short. Dr. Chang is very patient and caring. He spent a lot of time talking to me and my husband explaining how the procedure is and calmed us down. He is a Professional. The only thing I recommend to everyone is to swaddle your baby after the procedure. It does magic. My son was crying a lot when we put him in the car seat and we couldn’t calm him down. Eventually we went back to the clinic to ask for help. The nurse swaddled him and he was quiet right away.

It is clear why he came so highly recommended to us by others; he was very professional, attentive and caring throughout. Both my son and I were up and active, almost immediately. My wife and I have since recommended Dr. Pollock's name to many others, both for vasectomy and circumcision and in all cases, the parents (and men) all thanked us for the referral.

I had a circumcision performed and was made as good as possible at Dr. Pollock's Clinic. The consultation is super simple, I was able to book it within a week of initially calling. The surgery itself was then booked that day for around 3 weeks later, so no long waiting times at all. On the day of the surgery, I was a little bit nervous the night before but the very friendly staff made the day of very easy. The nurses and staff at the office are exceptional at doing their jobs, and very friendly people who you can have a conversation with as well. It was done under local anesthetic and the procedure itself, from first entering the office to wrapping up the finished product only took about an hour or so. Dr. Pollock was always available to answer any questions when I would call him, and always offered me to come and see him the day of whenever I had any concerns or questions. Over the past 6 weeks, I was able to see him several times to ensure the healing process was going well. Considering the operation, it went much smoother than expected. Only thing I would recommend is to prepare any questions you have before hand for Dr Pollock, as he is very busy at his office.

I saw Dr. Jack Chang during his recent medical mission to Manila with his team through No Scalpel Vasectomy International at Mary Johnston Hospital in Manila. I found out through facebook they were coming. My wife had serious complications with the IUD and it simply was no longer an option for us. I saw that the group of international specialists were coming to Manila and was so happy to have been seen by Dr. Chang. I was very impressed with Dr. Chang's bedside manner. He was the quickest surgeon amongst the group and seemed to be the most experienced but I noticed but he was also kind and gentle and extremely knowledgeable. In fact I saw him training the other surgeons. He put me at ease and I experienced minimal pain and the anesthesia did not require any needles. I had a circumcision from Dr. Pollock. Over the last couple of years a tight band developed at the end of the uncircumcised portion of my penis. It would still slide over the glans - but not totally freely like it used to. I had to have a blood test and send the results in. I to thought that the office staff may have been a little impatient and not giving me much in the way of options - being from out of town. They are very busy and I would suggest looking over their entire website information - including locations. We found underground parking very close to both clinics. I had arranged to have the surgery and exam on the same day. Being from out of town this helped a lot and I was glad they could undertake this option. Remember that you have to expose your private parts - so don't feel bashful - you will have to drop your pants - it is as simple as that. I stayed in the same room for the exam and Surgery. I had a local anesthetic - then was left in there for a 10 - 20 minutes for the anesthesia to take hold. There was a minor little jab when the foreskin was cut and this was for only one second or less. After that there was no pain and no bleeding. It took a while to get all the skin glue in place but there was no pain at that time. I expected the anesthetic to wear off and then some pain to begin - but it never happened. I could feel a little tenderness but not pain. They gave me some pain killers but needed none of them anytime after the surgery to this day. We walked around outside for an hour or so and came back and saw Dr. Pollock that same day to make sure everything was ok. I wore loose underwear and loose pants and this worked well for me. I drove across town to the motel with not problem. Just got in and out of the car slowly and carefully. I saw Dr. Pollock the next two days in a row - very little swelling if any at all. I had no infection whatsoever during recovery. Since I have had medical training I changed the dressings myself after the first three days. After 10 days I no longer needed the dressings - but had to be careful that the edges of the skin glue didn't catch on underwear. My result turned out better than I expected and I am 72 years old. Dr. Pollock is a valuable asset to this Province and Country. He made my life a notch better.....thank you.

Went and had my vasectomy today, performed by Dr. Pollock himself. I have to say that the experience was nothing short of amazing from start to finish. I was feeling a little worried about the whole thing especially because I opted out of the $299.00 premium service, so yes I'm gearing up to have a needle pushed into my scrotum. 20 mins later I'm out and feeling absolutely relieved that I had it done and the little bit of worry was not necessary. The needle prick was easier than anticipated and Dr. Pollock was super chill (not sure why others are saying otherwise) the staff was warm and friendly as well. Thanks so much to all the staff and Dr. Pollock for making a somewhat frightening experience totally easy and painless.

Procedure was done around 9:25 and then had my protein bar and drink while I waited and was out of there before 10:00. Any hesitation and fears I had were overblown and all in my head. Very expensive. The monopolizing on cost of circumcision. They charge $2500 for circumcision for a 3 to 5 year old, plus $200 consultation fee. Coming up to $3000 with taxes and fees. There's others who do the same for $400. Circumcision takes only 5 minutes for the actual procedure. For that, the account they charge is too much. They also keep your credit card number during booking, and fail to tell you that they will charge for card if you cancel less than two days in advance. They are a medical practice, that walk the fine line of being scammers. They heavily spend in Google advertising, an. solely advertise on fake Muslim website. I would be surprised that much of the reviews here are paid. Please call other places and shop around. Sabrina now that $500 is to much for circumcision.

The 1st thing he said is "I'm Dr. Pollock. Drop your drawer." No introduction. No nothing. I've never seen any doctor so cocky. And for his premium service $299, he made it sound like if I wouldn't pay for it, the basic procedure would be extremely painful. In fact, when he was performing air pressure anaesthesia, I thought I was going to pass out. It was more painful than the needle. And he punctured it when it wasn’t frozen at all. It was almost like a torture for the entire 7 minutes. I would not recommend him to anyone.

I went in to turn the faucet off after two kids. I showed up and there's nice spa music playing which is pretty calming for getting snipped. They gave me a swag bag with Saxx and a couple specimen bottles. Easily the most expensive pair of underwear I've ever purchased that day. So I'm laying out on the table, shorts down and ready to go. Am I panicking? 100%! But Dr. Chang was great, he tried to converse with me but I gave him the same answer over and over again. Come on, I am getting chopped here. In his next life, Dr. Chang should be a race car driver cause that dude is lightning quick! So after I limp off the table, I go sit in a quiet room. I'm googling where a local drive thru is to get some water and half a second later, the nurse shows up with six juice boxes! Now I'm also reviewing the juice boxes too because those were the best juice boxes I've ever had in my life. I crushed three in two minutes. The actual procedure was not my cup of tea. After about a week of healing, I'm glad I did it and the boys are AOK. Dr. Chang was great, the staff were great, the underwear and juice were incredible. The procedure - meh.

Any adult guys needing medically necessary circumcision for phimosis, don't even bother with the old school MSP hospital method. Pay the reasonable prices and have first class service from the experts. Aftercare is superb and he even gives you his direct email and cell phone number--when was the last time a doctor did that? This is the safest, most comfortable and convenient route to solve what could be embarrassing and painful problems. The medical assistants know you by name and work with your schedule, even being open as early as 7 AM. This is how ALL medical clinics should be run! An absolute class act.
