Both times I have been here with my 12 year old we had to wait at least an hour past our Booked appointment time. After speaking with Other people here also waiting at least 45 minutes past their appointment time...I get the doctors get busy but why book appointments if you can't at least somewhat stick to a schedule.
I have been to this office three times, during last couple of years. First to see an Orthopedic doctor for my arthritic knee followed by fitting braces and then to get an injection. All three times were very pleasant experience. The lady who fitted the braces was awesome and for sure they help me a lot even though I wear them only occasionally. I also got an injection, Cingal which had both the steroid and the Hyaluronic acid administered by Dr. T Stone in 2017 January and it did wonders. Only after 1.5 yrs I am getting stiffness in my knee when I sit for a long time and when I wake up in the morning and planning to get another Cingal injection.
Dr Moola is #1
Absolutely rude receptionists that caused me to be late by not bothering to provide address or instructions on how to get there. Healthcare facilities NEED better service than this! Try being considerate and NOT playing on Facebook on the job! Seriously?? How old are you??
Very hard to get in touch with reception. It's not easy to book an appointment or get follow up info. They don't anwser the phone and your email is not on your website. Dr. Lodhia
If there was negative stars, they'd get 5 of them. Booked my appointment for 10:45 and was able to see the doctor at 12:30. Was happy with doctor's assesment but boy those receptionist have some attitude for the type of work they are doing. Especially the front desk one. The princess couldnt bothered to answer simple questions let alone say hi or be polite.
They sent me a email 2 days before saying my surgery was at 9:45am and I had to get there 90min in advanced but when I got to the hospital they said my surgery was at 1pm so I had to wait 4h to get it.. I even showed them the email they sent me with the correct time... they said they scheduled a older lady in priority 2 days before and didn't bother calling me to let me know of the delays Dr farrad moulah is the worst surgeon ever, my shoulder isn’t even at 30% on a good day a year after and with the attitude he had I wouldn’t be surprised if he botched the surgery on purpose.
I went in for an ankle appointment, waited on an X-ray (which I don’t think needed, I was told by the referring doctor a ct scan is better). Dr Kelly Apostle, looks at my X-ray, comes in, asks me to stand, tells me to take a seat and moves my ankle with her hand (my ankle does not move on it’s own) and says “there’s no surgery that I can do to fix this, you have only lost 5% mobility”. She don’t ask me what problem I am having, she don’t ask if I can move my ankle on it’s own, she don’t ask nothing. I wasn’t even in the examination room with her for 3mins..the appointment that I waited 4 months for was so rushed. Worst doctor I have every been to, I DO NOT RECOMMEND! STAY FAR AWAY!!!!
Dear Dr. Abdulla, I like to express my sincere gratitude to you and your entire team. I talked to my mom today and she couldn't stop praising you. She is feeling more confident using her knees. We both want to thank you and wishing you all the best. My mom (Parvin Aminpour) said I hope Dr. Abdulla soon becomes famous for his work all around the world and she sent you her love. Warmest Regard
I saw Dr Baron back in November regarding my shoulder. Did the MRI and was informed that she was referring me to a surgeon as it required surgery. I have not been given any update on this. I don't even know the surgeon's name/contact info. My shoulder has been getting progressively worse and affects my work. I work in security and was OFA certified. Due to this issue with my shoulder, I have been unable to be recertified and may lose my position as I am unable to give my employer and clients any updates. I do understand that there are many people requiring medical treatment. But the lack of communication or information is appalling. It affects people's livelihoods outside the office.
The location is very clean and the staff was friendly. However: After I broke my ankle I was referred to them from the hospital. First x-ray showed my foot was broken, and 2 weeks later I arrived, took a second x-ray, and was told my foot was in great shape and that I could remove the boot even a week earlier. They did not look at the foot at that time, only the x-ray. I did as instructed, and assumed the pain was normal after such a break. Unrelated, I went to a specialist out-of-pocket, who, seeing the swelling and the level of pain I was in, sent me to more x-rays and a CT scan. I was then told my foot was definitely still broken with a non-union, and that I would need 6 months of ultrasound treatment. They said the week 2 x-rays were inconclusive at best. My break was in December of 2020, and now, June 2021, I'm still in pain, still unable to walk well. Perhaps if they had looked at my foot that second meeting, perhaps if they had inspected the x-ray closer, I would have been spared months of pain and immobility, not to mention the costs out of pocket and the stress of going to hospitals during a pandemic. Likely they are overworked and underpaid, but I wish they had given me more time and attention, and saved me a lot of grief these past seven months.
Note: if seeing doctor in this building, but the day pass for parking. Spent over $20 in parking and 2 hours only to be seen by student doctors and the doctor for a total of 15 minutes. Not very efficient for the patients who have to take time off work to get medical help.
Excellent !! I was referred to Dr. Pelletier due to arthritis worsening around my already-fused ankle. My situation was horrible. Walking was painful. I ewas suffering. Dr. Pelletier got me pain-free and 100% back to normal functioning within weeks. She got me a semi-rigid but low-profile ankle brace. She also got me right into a major hospital that did some pain-relieving injections into the ankle. Everything worked great. Top notch Orthopedic Specialist service.
I am not an orthopaedic surgeon nor am I an orthopaedic technologist. I believed and trusted that you were supplying competent experts in those areas. If I was an expert in these areas I would own my mistake. I have experience increased pain from your companies solution and I am bringing this to your attention. The purchase of this item was not a choice on my part. I was told to buy it and you are profiting from this misinformation.
I am extremely disheartened by the experience I had today, my knee pain is getting worse the doctor didnt even take the time to look at the mri imaging from the hospital and he knew they were there I was treated like I was wasting his time didn't even give me a recommendation on where to get a good quality k tape he didn't know where and then further comments that he made about something not relating to me was not okay and when I phoned the receptionist and asked to see another doctor she said there was no other doctor, all the things the doctor suggested I already do I am in pain and he did not offer any other solutions i will not be back for a follow up appointment I would like to discuss my concerns with his bedside manner with a office manager.
DR. Moola is an awesome surgeon. He is very polite and pleasant. Most importantly , he listens to you. I have had and awesome recovery from one surgery and is recovering from another surgery. Wish it is easier to contact them over phone. Other than that I have only praise for DR. Moola.
Don't waste your time going here, ask your doctor to be refer somewhere. Dr. Baron was rushed and looked inconvenienced to even check my injury not realizing that i suffer with pain every day. Save yourself the wasted time and effort. Only if she put a fraction of the effort she does matching her outfits every morning on her patients she'd be a better doctor.
Dr moolah is a very awesome doctor nothing but a good experience over all
I wish I could give less than one star. Appointment was at 1030 and didn’t even get called for an X-ray until 1200. Get referred somewhere else because this place does not care about you or your injury.
Dr abdullah is very rude and illmannered
Extremely disorganized. Waiting for 2 hours while having a timed appointment? Crazy...
Good doctors, friendly staff. But I don't understand why you would give people an appointment time, request that they show up 30 minutes prior to get x-rays, and then have them sit there for 45-60 minutes. People have jobs, give us an appointment time that is at least approximately representative of when we will see a doctor. Seems very unprofessional
A little bit of a wait to see the doctor but worth it!
Dr. Boyer and his receptionist Nicole have been incredibly helpful through 4 knee operations over the course of a decade. They've always made things work and have been flexible, responsive and compassionate every step of the way. I can't recommend them enough, the person who gave a 1 star review shouldn't stop you from visiting, 10 years of great service should be worth more than 1 persons 1 off visit with little to no context or details. I've recommended multiple people to Boyer who've all echoed the same experience I have.
Second total replacement by Doctor Moola. Great job again!
First I had to pay $5 to park for 1 hr. Next I waited 45 mins. I have a piece of glass stuck in my foot for the last 3 weeks and Dr. Apostle told me she will not be doing anything to take this glass out. I have had 2 other docs tell me to get this out and not to walk on it. She then told me she doesn't know why they would say that. Then she told me that she would not even remove a safety pin from someones foot. I said that is just lazy. You can't leave metal and glass in peoples feet. She then got offended and said she was going to tell my family doctor that I was rude. I said that I find it unprofessional to not do anything for me and others that have foreign objects in their feet. I would not want this woman performing surgery on me anyway. Ugh! Such a bad experience. I know the Canadian health care system is bad but never thought it could be this bad.
Expected wait time: 30 - 40 min Actual wait time: 3.5 hours to talk with the doctor for 5 min.
I got referred to this office because of my knee and had a wonderful experience. The office staff is amazing and so helpful...the doctor was very nice and had a great bed side manner and took the time to figure out what was going on. I would absolutely recommend this doctor and will come back here if I ever need to see an orthopaedic doctor again.
horrible office staff,, horrible
The staff and Dr. Darius Viskontas were outstanding through my double knee replacement. Provided me with all the information to prepare for the surgery and readily answered any questions I had after. Almost two years have passed and my life has been given back to me by this amazing team. My husband is now just had the surgery and they are still outstanding.
If you enjoy being treated like a number and an inconvenience you found your place. Even the receptionist talks to you like a number and it's like you're ruining her lunch break. They tried to sell me a knee brace for $150, it didn't fit so they tried the $50 one and it didn't fit. So the one I bought from London Drugs or Walmart for like $40 is doing the exact same job as the crappy, WAY OVERPRICED garbage they're going to try to sell you
Great physician and friendly staff.
The dr's are wonderful and quite knowledgable. The staff is amazing!! The office is usually quite busy but they always make time to answer all questions and help to the best of their abilities. It's a great team!!!!
My step mom had to come here to see a surgeon for her ankle and foot. Everyone was really helpful. The surgeon was really good and explained everything we needed to know and answered our questions in a straightforward way. My step mom is on her way to recovery now and she is doing great! Definitely recommend this office for everyone!
I was in a life-threatening workplace injury, over two years ago. Both legs were crushed from the thighs down. First, Dr. Moola treated my initial injuries at RCH. Within 3 months, I was able to stand on my own two legs. FOI would immediately attend to any concern via email and would book me in to see the doctor within a week, when deemed necessary. Other complications appeared within the first year. At this point, Dr. Moola referred me to Dr. Stone. Dr. Stone has been able to advance my recovery. As I have been dealing with a great deal of anxiety from the pressures from WorkSafeBC, FOI quickly accommodated me in the own offices. After three surgeries with Dr. Stone, I still have more concerns. After listening to my concerns, he is now referring me to another specialist to assist in my recovery. I am hoping that it will be within FOI, as my treatment from FOI has been nothing short of AMAZING!!!
Are the receptionists volunteers or...? Called dozens and dozens of times, no answer. Calls not returned. Their emails bounce back. They don't reply to the contact form on their website. When it snowed ONCE in February, they closed for THREE DAYS (meanwhile the children are still going to school). Finally got a call back and the receptionist was indignant and rude, as though it was my fault. What a joke.
I went into meet Dr. Moola regarding my shoulder and within 30min he had me booked for a surgery 1.5 weeks from the appointment! Very reassuring and prompt service. His staff including Mr. Michael Englen made me feel comfortable with the process. Highly recommended.
