Here we offer you the opinions of people who purchased the products of Elicare: Royal City Medical Clinic (Doctor) in the area close to New Westminster (Canada).
At the moment this firm has a score of 2.5 out of 5 and that rating has been calculated on 89 reviews.
As you can see its rating is insufficient, and it is founded on a high number of scores, so we can be quite sure that the assessment is very credible. If many people have bothered to give their feddback when they are pleased with the service, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to set reviews when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Doctor is included in the category of Walk-in clinic.
I went to the walk in clinic there. Everything was great, the waiting time was zero, the lady at the reception was very helpful and polite, the doctor (Dr. Ke) was very nice, professional, and helped me with everything I needed. Recommended walk in clinic.
Went there for first time to get my post nasal drip fixed. I was not asked a single question like how long I've had it, how often I have it, or if my parents have the condition. None of these and I was given a prescription out of thin air. My conversation regarding this didn't last for 30 seconds at best. I could've literally webmd myself. Not recommended.
I was very disappointed at my visit to this clinic. The staff and doctor were hostile towards patients and acted like we should not be there even though everyone approaching reception had pre-booked appointments and masks on. I went in for an IUD insertion and was quite nervous about the procedure. The staff made me even more nervous, their behavior towards patients did not reflect professionalism and made me question the quality of the doctors in the clinic. Once inside the room with the doctor, I actually thought I was in there with a nurse as the doctor was silent the whole time, not reacting to my attempt to converse and had no name tag in her uniform. The procedure was extremely painful, and the doctor seemed annoyed that I was showing signs of distress. When the procedure was over she simply asked "do you have any questions, we will call you in a month to follow up", typed in her computer for a minute and left the room while I was still in the bed trying to absorb what had just happened. If there is one way to describe my visit is being a cow in a farm in line to get milked. Nobody cares about the patient in this clinic, they dont look you in the eyes, they dont answer your questions, they wont talk to you, they just order you around like they want you out of their way. Do not go to this clinic, this clinic should not be operating. Every patient that walks in there are better off going somewhere else.
I experienced the worst Doctor/Patient experience. This is just based on the last visit l had. I had a follow-up visit with a Walk-in Student Doctor (l believe she was based on her attitude). She was asking me questions about my medical history which l believe was unnecessary because the appointment was a follow-up not a first time visit. The information she needed to know was on their system and because l do not recall all my medical history she took it as l was unhelpful and also seen to think l was taking up her time of 15 mins and left the room and left me no better off of why l came in the first place. If you have a follow-up appointment make sure it is with the same Doctor who request you come back.
Saved my life
This place is terrible! The wait time is well over 1.5 hours. Seriously. As well, the poor girl at the counter is run off her feet. Not a positive experience in the slightest. Never again.
I’m very disappointed at Dr. Ke. I’m dealing with anxiety and depression and I requested an emergency appointment with her, since she was the one treating me. I waited all day for her call, and when she finally did call, I was in the emergency room because I was having a panick attack. She was not empathetic at all and when I begged her to call me back in 2 minutes because they were doing a test on me, she said she couldn’t guarantee it and hung up. I called her office 10 min later and they tried to transfer my call to her buy they said she had alteady gone and that I could re-schedule mu appt for Tuesday (today is Thursday). An urgent appt for someone that is dealing with serious mental health issues. I’m just so disappointed that she would treat someone in my condition like that. I feel rejected, anxious and like not even my doctors care about my situation. This has made me cry a lot. I will not be coming back to this clinic - it’s so disorganized. Even my former family doctor John Slanina told me so, and now he moved to another clinic and I have no family doctor.
Rude and insensitive clerk. If you hate your job, then quit. Don’t be such a sad pathetic negative human being to others. It doesn’t hurt to treat others nicely.
Literally hours to wait! Always a wait no less then 1 1/2 hours everytime I have gone, it's ridiculous! They definitely need more doctors here cause there is not alot of Medi caters around this area
If I could give zero stars I would. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE, if you wanted to be treated like a human being then this is not the place for you. The staff at the front desk is the rudest front desk staff I've ever encountered. Disorganized, rude, and rushed, don't be shocked if you ask a question they don't like or feel like answering they will hang up on you.
I like this walk in clinic. They listen to you, if you’re comunicative with whats going on, they are doctors that listen. Rather than telling you what they their opinion is.
Totally recommend!!! Went to this clinic several times and had appointments with 2 different doctors. Both were very professional and straight to the point!!!
The front desk receptionist , Kelci, is doing a wonderful job there. She is extremely nice and helpful. Thank you for all the information you gave me Kelci. :)
This places receptionists are pretty rude and are hard to deal with sometimes they allow you to put your name down and sometimes they dont there structure makes no sense
If I could rate 0, I would have gone for that. The ladies at front reception at new west were very rude and impolite over the phone. I called twice in different days, different ladies but same rude attitude. They also have very bad online booking system which doesn’t tell you where the doctors are and they have many locations. And online system doesn’t show either. When you call one of the clinic to ask for help. The person who picked up the phone was so rude.. not even answer your questions but kept silent until I asked the next questions. You will have to call more than two or three numbers to find out the answers. If you are a new patient looking for a new clinic or family doctor, the Richmond clinic one would be the better option if you live closer.
Large facility, doctors were very caring and friendly
Despite being extremely busy and in demand the service is friendly and professional. The incredible staff goes above and beyond to meet everyone's needs as best as possible.
Nice staff. Very handy they’re in the Royal City mall cause of the free parking. The waits there can be very..... Very ..... Long so bring your patience and hope you have a good phone plan... Dr Ke was great. Fast and efficient ( at least she was with me).
Went in to get information about an ICBC administrative procedure. 30 minutes later, I had seen a doctor, a nurse and all information was sent to ICBC. Staff there is very dynamic, I hope I can get a family doctor there.
I love this clinic! I've been there twice and seen two different doctors. Both times I was a walk-in and was in and out in really good time. The lady at reception was very kind and helpful. It's clean, quick and friendly - I highly recommend this clinic.
Actually had one of those call in appointments. I explained my issues, and without even seeing the problem face to face the doctor diagnosed that I stay in bed? How is an eye infection related to staying in bed?? I had asked well...is there a prescription or referral I can get for an eye doctor to check out or to treat my eye infection? Just to be told "oh lay in bed and put pressure on your eye" how does that sound like being a doctor?!?????????
For years I was hesitating to visit this walk-in-clinic because of its reviews. Today I had no choice and had nowhere else to go, and I went there and I think the service was pretty good. The Doctor asked me to do X-Ray and it was literally next door, super convenient. The wait time was long but it’s terrible everywhere, just get yourself something to do while waiting or, if you aren’t super sick, enjoy the mall :) I liked it.
Now, I wasn't actually helped at this clinic and there were no walk ins for that day but the receptionist was very helpful in directing me to somewhere that could help me as soon as possible where as everyone else that I called or went to just said they were full/busy and either hung up or said sorry go away now Thanks to her I was still able to get help that day!
This clinic is the worst clinic which has the worst walk-in and family doctors in Uptown area in New Westminster, unfortunately. They do not spend time to check your body thoroughly. It is okay to wait for hours. But it is not okay to receive misdiagnosis or incomplete diagnosis, which are made within 1 min. Went to a walk in clinic near RCH, and the doctors there spend adequate time to check my body and ask all necessary questions and record them, while I also waited about 1 hour. Waiting is never an issue. Doctors are the biggest issue in this clinic. Stay away from the clinic. Final review is 1 star minus 1 star.
Not recommended At ALL:....don't come to here, if you are not covered by MSP then they will not write a prescription until you come for the second visit to pay another$150. There is no obvious policy indicates their false statement and no one will explain their policy within your first visit. Just not fair and unprofessional way to treat a patient. Where is the managment??? I asked to be contact someone and no help?!!!!!
Worst experience ever! Had there been a star less than 1, they deserve that. Zero communication and worst service. Prefer to go to some other walk-in clinic when you would like to be treated well.
Only been there once so far was nice and fast. No BS.
I had horrible experience there. Dr is very cold and snappy. My depression and anxiety are worse now. I don’t want to go back there never again. My friend recommended to see this doctor, so I had a faith in her, but I was so disappointed.
Irresponsible doctor, automatically accused me of having covid when I had a kidney infection. Went to the er and they stated kidney infection. Maybe next time you should actually hear people out rather than cutting them out and making sudden accusations.
I went there today and everybody treated me very well, especially Dr. Ke, Ran. I don't have any complaints about. I recommend this walk in clinic.
Staff are nice and helpful. I wanna thank every staff who helped me before. Very nice of you. But I am saying goodbye to this location. Waiting time is way longer than any other places (just a little bit better than CarePoint next to London Drugs though). The doctor only works 3 days including Monday. And usually Monday is holiday. So basically 2 days. And there are “news” saying the doctor is going to retire. The reason that I give one star because of two parts. First, is the waiting time. But it is less important as waiting time issue is normal in every clinic. Second part is the most important part. It is our freedom to see walk-in doctors if family doctor is not available. It is also our freedom to see different walk-in doctors when family doctor is not available. It is also our freedom to see family doctor when we believe there is something going wrong with our bodies. I had mild abdominal pain on and off lasting for 3 days over the long weekend. I went to see a walk-in doctor because the family doctor does not work on Tuesday. I was later referred to ER and had an acute surgery. My partner and I booked appointment with the family doctor. Since we would be going together we booked the time slots one after another (for me to check my body after surgery as ER doctor told me to see family doctor if I have bladder and throat issue after surgery, and for my partner to check skin condition). I was very tired and weak one day after surgery. The family doctor checked my condition. After that, he checked my partner’s skin condition. The dr. touched the skin and told us it was normal. Then , I told the doctor that the bump coloured in brown (about 1 inch) was very hard and did not go away for a long time. Then the dr. started to get angry and disrespectful, saying that I should not question his judgement and he disliked it. He did not explain why it is normal to have a noticeable hard dark coloured bump on the skin. Just keep saying it is normal. Then, he started to complain about me seeing different walk-in doctors and did not believe in his judgment. And also telling me not to see him because I am okay and just worry too much about my health conditions. However, I only see him when I feel uncomfortable or conditions get worse or do not improve for several days. If I am okay, I do not need to take several bus trips and book appointment to see him, and wait at least 40 mins to see him. I was very weak after surgery and did not want to argue with him, but I remember what he said, and wrote this review afterwards. Well, I think it is okay. If you do not want to see me that is fine. I will just see other doctors. But the minor issue from your perspective could be something major from other doctors perspective. I am the only one who has to take care of my self. I cannot risk my health. Many small problems are early signs of major issue. And. I do not want to see a dr. who likes to see patients who develop major issues. Also, not sure why the dr. thinks I cannot understand him and something wrong with my English understandings. I have never gotten any communicating problems with any other walk-in doctors, not to mention I am doctoral student from faculty of medicine. Last, getting a second opinion is very normal especially come to health. Not sure why the dr. believes patients have to completely trust a single doctor. I will always get second opinion just like the surgery I had at hospital. The decision to have the surgery was made after consulting multiple doctors and specialists at the hospital.
Was scheduled appointment at 9:40, Received call at 10:25. Didn’t even bother to say sorry for the delay I wanted to get referral for MRI, doctor said he can’t give me referral because he can’t assess if I qualify and refused to see me in person to check if I qualify. The doc is typical member of healthcare system, useless and unprofessional.
I received a message by email stating that they are taking new patients for the new doctor. I call in and an extremely rude young lady not only laughed at me on the phone but when I ask to speak to the owner she refuses and hangs up on me. I am going to put a formal complaint into the medical college about the receptionist and protocol of dealing with mistakes they make and lack of handling clients who deserve answers.
I love my GP but the front desk staff are so rude and abrupt. I've had countless issues with them from rudeness on the phone, messing up paperwork, making me jump through hoops and barriers which is really hard when you're struggling with mental health to even then making fun of me that my mom had to phone and make an appointment for me cuz I was literally going through hell and could not do it. If there wasn't a dr. Shortage I would find a new one just because of how awful the front staff are.
My mother has been here twice, and had a great doctor both times. The receptionist was extremely helpful in helping us with a post heart surgery appointment that required a follow up to some blood work to know what dosage of warfin to take. After a terrible experience with our family doctor's receptionist, we decided to go to a walk in clinic. It was a relief to have someone help us by following up with the blood lab for us, we didn't even ask, she simply offered to handle it for us. Thank you Kelsey for making this difficult time much easier for all of us, it means more than you could even image.
Right in the mall. It is a busy location as are most walk in clinics. Yes expect a wait (allow +2hr). Although they told me it was going to be a 30-45min wait - it turned out to be 1.5hr wait. There must be a more efficient way of managing drop in and appointment bookings with only one doctor on duty. Maybe they should have two doctors with one just for drop ins only and one for appointment and drop ins. It's disheartening to sit and wait, see people go in who dropped in before you, feel a sense of progress that you're moving up in the line but then out of the blue to you, you get bumped back because of people coming in on appointment - you don't know how many and when their place is before you. I don't mind/am prepared to wait but sometimes you just need to be able to see there's a light at the end of the tunnel. Reception staff was just fine. They were short staffed during my visit so I understood she was very busy trying to manage on her own. Have not tried their online appointment system but may do so in the future.
I would like to say that I could give them more than one star and I only gave them one star because you have to and order to post they should get zero star the hours of operation where until 5 p.m. on the day I showed up it was 4:45 and they were closed saying that they could not see me because they Filled there quota horrible place doesn't keep proper hours don't believe what you read online as far as their open hours because apparently it's bull
Echoing previous reviews about rudeness. My Son waited for 30 mins to be the first in line for walk-ins. At 9:00 AM they unlocked the door and put up a sign saying no walk -ins today. He asked for an explanation and they would not give one. There were only 2 people in line, they could have easily seen them since they had been waiting before the sign went up. We were not totally surprised though, because the day before we went to a different Elicare clinic and they too had a sign up - but in this case saying they were closed. We had called before and there was no message on their phone line nor had they updated the website & facebook pages clearly said "walk-ins welcome" Staggering lack of compassion and concern for people who are hurting in some way.
None of the family doctors work on the weekend. So if you have a hard time taking time off and waiting for a walk in doctor to maybe be able to help you doesn't work for you, go somewhere that understands that. That being said when I'm actually to see my doctor, she's great.
Very polite and thorough receptionists and walk in clinic is always available which is awesome. They give accurate waiting times. So far I’ve seen Dr Ke and Dr David Song(?) and they were very helpful and listened to my problems. I always go back to this clinic
The problem is their receptionist. I experienced very worst. And I am looking for new family physician now.
It's mentioned it's walk-in clinic and open till 6pm and when I called them they said we take appointment then what is the meaning of walkin clinic!!?
Tried to get a prescription for meds ive been taking this past year. After a phone visit with Dr Abdul, he prescribes me a vaginal cream. Im a guy! Its a really dumb mistake on his part. If he was confused, he should have said something. I'm glad my pharmacist advised me otherwise. Or I would have been using the wrong medication.
Had a telehealth appointment, doctor was very rude and extremely condescending when I asked for a refill for a prescription that I get from my midwife (she was off for the weekend.) He didn’t believe me when I told him the dose I was prescribed (it’s for morning sickness and is vitamins and antihistamines) and only gave me enough for 2 days, making me have to pay for the refill twice. I could understand if it was a powerful narcotic, but it’s a completely harmless medicine that helps with nausea. Even my midwife was shocked when I told her. Sounds like he needs to educate himself more on women’s health.
Very good doctors and staff
Don’t waste your time going there
This clinic is the worst clinic I have personally been too, the staff are very rude. No one should be treated with such disrespect especially when they are trying to get medical care. Do not go here if you want to be treated with rudeness and disrespect
Horrible service I got .. i told the doctor my problems and he didn't care then I asked for a note and they almost charged me $25 without telling me that it would cost money.
I've tried to use the website, that's provided to book an appointment, but it was not working on my end, then I've tried calling the office to book an appointment but NO ONE ANSWERS THE DAMN PHONE. It keeps ringing; what's the point of running a clinic if NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE OR PUT YOU ON HOLD? I really wanted to book a consultation for an IUD insertion with Dr. Ke but I'm not able to. Thanks for wasting my time. I wish there was a rating where I can not give zero stars.
Worst customer service receptionist refuses to hear what we have to say i think its just a call centre. The excuse w doctors at those clinics due to covid has to stop. You guys are doctors you suppose to see patients not refusing them
the doctor was too busy on the computer replying to a friend's messenger. she had to ask me to repeat explaining my health issue a second tiem
Wasted 2 hours to wait for an appointment at the walk in only to be told it's just a virus and should pass. The Dr only took my temp and looked at my throat. Woke up 2 days later in agony due to a serious sinus infection. Had the Dr looked in my ears she may have noticed how much fluid was in them and came to another diagnosis. Pure laziness. Now I have to take 3 days off work when I could have been on the mend due to your incompetence. Thanks for nothing!
I found that the doctors and receptionists were dismissive and hostile. I got the overall vibe of prejudice from the staff. They treated me like I shouldn't be there.
Useless. Don't go here.
Wouldn't help me. Sent me away. These people would in likelihood send a dying child away.
Wait time: 2 hours; no qualms The doctor on duty - Dr R Ke is the most disrespectful rude and unprofessional person I have ever come across. I was telling her my symptoms and she cut me short saying she can’t write it down again. I should stop. This is someone I have been waiting for for 2 hours. Then she rudely told me to go and do some test and off she goes again. Another 1 hour waiting in the exam room for her. Some other people have complained about her on here and I just hoped I didn’t get assigned to her but I did. Please stay away from this office except you want to be treated like trash.
Dr. Ke is always so professional and if I can't see my GP I can always count on Elicare to give me the care I need.
If you need medical care, keep scrolling. This is not the clinic for you. Please do not waste your time, these people don’t care about you or your health.
Good experience ????
Booked an appointment, doctor never even called me. Edit - i did receive the call later 5 or so hours later and the doctor seemed helpful.
The worst booking experience i ever had !!! Two weeks on a row my chiropractor appointments were cancelled at the last moment. I feel like the patient's are not important at this clinic. The girl i spoke on the phone was so ignorant ! Extremly disappoointed !!!
Dr. David Sung is the best walk-in physician I have ever met. He is such a considerate and responsible doctor. Highly recommanded him!
Strong advice: choose another walk in clinic. I went there with a terrible back pain, barely walking and my bad luck was not to have my care card with me. I accessed my emails on my phone and I showed the manager my current bill with my MSP account number. It was not good enough for such insensitive and with lack of common sense as those two persons that I spoke with and I asked for their help considering my painful situation. I was simply sent home for my care card in a place where people paying MSP like me are supposed to be helped. Actually I will check where I can complain about that terrible, unpleasant and very mean situation.
No one is answering the phone, no one responds to email requests for an access code to make an appointment, and despite meeting a doctor a few weeks ago who was very competent, he's of no use to me if I can't even get a phone call through to the office to make an appointment. The GP hunt starts again. More time without care, all because the front desk is completely incompetent.
Without a doubt, the absolute worst service from a medical clinic I have ever received. If there was a way to score less than 1 I would do it. Just pathetic. Do not go to these people, you will be extremely disappointed. I am sure any reviews they have over a 1, they either paid for or wrote themselves.
Front desk Monday to Friday girl is very rude and not compassionate at all.
The woman taking phone calls wasn't helpful at all, she was so rude,,,not even caring about what I am talking,,, Very disappointed ????. I couldn't make walk in appointment through their website, so I called them for help,, but unfortunately she replied with cold voice??!! "I can't do anything for you"????????. Bad phone experience.
Avoid this place if you can. It has got arrogant, impolite young doctors who has only learnt the business aspect of the job apparently ! For a safe daily medication that I’ve been taking regular 6 months refill prescription from walk-in clinics for the past few years, with no justifiable reason, the young dr here gave me 3 months only. After asking why, she says because you do not have a family doctor! What that does to do with this!. You need a valid recent lab results and my consent that I am happy with my medication which I had both. Just want you to get back there more times so they charge the government more! Guess what, i try other clinics which are 2 minutes away from you and prescribe me my 6 month refill. Easier to walk 2 minutes extra twice a year rather than Seating hours extra to see your 4 times a year!
Had to wait almost a hour which for a walk-in Dr. I figure to do before even going in. I had Dr. Glen Ming who was fantastic in helping me. Thank You!:)
Very very bad waiting time for my daughter more than 1.5 Hours and she is having high temperature not a good clinic at all
