Visiting a dentist has always been one of my greatest fears. Growing up I had many fillings and root canals done by different dentists from both China and Canada. When I moved to Vancouver from Victoria early this year, I found Dr. Liu, who was nothing but kind and understanding of my fears. She is also fluent in both English and Chinese which definitely helps for me when it comes to explaining complex procedures. I’ve now gone back to Dr. Liu for everything from regular cleaning to extensive root canals and she has been careful and kind in every situation.

Updated: Emily Liu BROKE my tooth during the treatment. When I heard the sound when she broke my tooth, she left me in treatment room for few minutes. She came back and didn’t tell me what’s happened and she put crown on the broken tooth to HIDE her mistake. When I phoned her to complain severe pain, she cried and told me that she wouldn’t leave me without treatment. But she covered up her error, made up story that I grind my tooth etc. She referred me to her friend doctor Dr. Lin and he lied that nothing wrong before CT was done. She finally refused to treat me without any treatment. There were only me and her but she lied that there was a witness. She told me to refund only $1,000 as a compensation for the crown itself. I paid $3,000 total for the root canal and crown. I have paid to see other dentists and PULL OUT the broken tooth and need to get an dental implant. If she had told me the truth at that date she broke my tooth, I didn’t need to suffer lots of pain. As soon as I uploaded the picture of my tooth here, she requested to be deleted. As she mentioned it, I needed to see many dentists. The dentists were afraid to fix the tooth because this is the dental malpractice case. If she wanted to help me, she didn’t updated her comment many times to cover up and requested to delete the picture of my broken tooth here. She NEVER even tried to help me. Please do not go to this clinic!

Dr Emily is fantastic! She has a true gift with children and those with anxiety around the dentist. Her hands are very small, and her patience unlimited! Fully recommend her.

Dr. Liu took over from my previous dentist. I live in Maple Ridge and thought I would make the switch to a dentist nearer to home. I thought I would give Dr. Liu a try first. I am very happy I did. I liked her right away.I saw her for a cleaning and she was very gentle and kind. I had a broken tooth and needed to have a crown done. I was very happy with how it looked and it was pain free. I decided to continue coming in to New Westminster and seeing Dr. Liu. Worth the drive!!

I had not been to the dentist in a while due to a bad experience so I was pretty nervous to go to someone someone I didn't know. The moment I walked through the door I felt more at ease because the receptionist was so nice and friendly to me. When I met Dr. Liu I felt much better just with her talking to me. She found the bad tooth and told me what was needed and told me how much it would cost. I was really worried about the needle. My biggest fear!! I was so surprised when she said the freezing part was done. Didn't feel a thing! After that everything was great. Her hands are small so I didn't have to open my mouth too wide which was always a problem for me. They told me what was going on.. and then it was over. I left feeling much better about going to the dentist. A great all round office. I highly recommend Dr. Liu
