Overall quality of care is poor. And yet relatively speaking, this is the best walk in clinic I've found in New West so far. Once you've gone once and opened up a file, you can call in for a same day appointment. Expect to wait there for an hour or two of course. But you can leave the clinic and they'll call you when your turn is coming up. Most doctors are uninterested in you and your case. They make a very quick judgement on what your problem is and what you need that you may not agree with, and likely won't try to make you feel good about it. But I've gotten referrals, pain meds and blood tests when they were urgently needed. I think the key is knowing what you can reasonably expect from a walk in clinic in BC/Canada (I.e. not much) and how to handle the staff and doctors (I.e. very tactfully). Sad, but that's the reality of our system.

Garbage. Rude uninterested staff/doctors and i have had several doctors slap a random label on my issue and shrug me off while i was clearly sitting there with more questions to ask. They are half out the door before you can tell them your not finished. Terrible practices. Not to mention i have major lower back probelms and needed assistance with finding the issue or pain management as nobody in years has been able to locate an issue.... I get labeled a junky for pain meds. Thanks alot ya aholes. Im nowhere near some kind of junky. I have a legitimate issue and its godamn painful. Anyone have a doc giving prescriptions for med marijuana? These guys will laugh at you like they know better than you when they clearly do not and are so narrowminded and against the idea they make it difficult for someone like me suffering with my issues. Ive been a 15yr user for tha saaaaame issues and its proven to work in my case but NOPE. Its evil go get caught by the cops junky.

Unfortunately wouldn't recommend going here. I took my 6 month old here when she had a high fever and the flu. The doctor didn't ask us any questions or look her over. He said it was nothing and sent us home. Our household all ended up sick for a week with fevers, non stop vomiting and diarrhea. Would have been nice to have properly been looked at, diagnosed or treated. Super unsatisfied and won't be going there again or recommending it to anyone.

Bat Girl

I come here for prescription refills here and there so my time with the doctors are quick. Overall the staff and doctors have been kind to me. As for the wait time I find it long like other care point locations.

I will never, ever go here again. Front desk and doctors = disaster. So bad that I've reported my experience here to the CPSBC.

Waited for 4 hours ...first they tell you around 1.5 hour wait. So we left went to the lab get a blood test then when we came back after 1.5 hr theres still an hour wait. No point to go to other walk in clinic because you will wait much longer. So we ate at the fast food restaurant (same bldg) for at least an hour then we went back still another wait. The receptionist said 10 more people before us. But then we saw like more than 10 people have been seen. That's when they explain "oh the other doctor called in sick" so the other doctor is just squeezing in patients because other people have appointments. Wow! After all that waiting. No choice to go to other clinics and we waited for so long so no way to cancel this. But at least have a back up plan or the courtesy to tell walk in patients that something happened so at least there's time to go to another clinic or cancel. So much for courtesy...the receptionist told me to give us a call if we will cancel ...but they can't even call us that schedules have been bumped up or longer wait times because the doctor call in sick. Very poor management, lack of doctors, no back up plan, no proper system. Now were waiting inside to see the doctor. Let's see how many minutes he will see my mom (maybe just 5 mins max and they will tell you one sickness at a time because other people are waiting)let's see if the doctor will give great service for my mom.

I came in complaining about a sharp neck pain while healing from a car collision. Dr. Chiu insisted that based on his 35 years of medical experience that I'm not feeling any pain and sent me home. Why is our medical system paying doctors who don't care about patients? Waste of time waiting around here.

Ley Anne gonzales

So I called if they accept walk in. The lady said "no were fully book this week, you have to look somewhere else. thank you" didn't even consider booking me next week? Wooow! How rude. Hope everything is okay.

Miguel Molina

Imposible to get appointments, after having an appointment by phone and the doctor said to book a physical appointment to see my daughter. Call many times, call on a Friday they told me to call back on Tuesday, I call back o. Tuesday and they Don’t have available appointments. Happens all the time, also some doctors just send you over the counter medicines without really checking the problem of the patients. And even they get mad when you make questions about your health. Terrible.

Muneez Ali

I read the reviews and they r write that they r not suppose to be open in first place. I went with my 8 year old daughter and they told to get a passport n her care card. I had my daughters care card no, safe in my cellphone so I showed then and they said because your daughter is first time Here so we would need care card and passport eventhough she is born canadian. Her toe nail was bleeding and she was in a pain but she said we can't take her until u show her passport number care card so I went back home and I got everything finally Doctor saw and she didn't bother to operate her toe nail and said just put the tape on it will be fine and also she said I don't take her nail out because it will hard. My friend who orthopedic surgeon told me just go the doctor and operate her nail. What a terrible service n doctors. I would suggest u if u want to go really walk in go another one or either go to hospital do not waste your time to come here.

While a few months ago I had a very good doctor in the clinic on a sunday morning. Today I asked for blood test I need taken, due to the fact that my own Dr. has retired. Today August 17, 2016, while the staff were adequate, the doctor was certainly unhelpful and rude. Worse Dr. I have ever had the misfortune to meet.

Pros: making an appointment is easy, no phone calls putting you on hold for 10+ min, front desk girls are nice and professional Cons: the old white guy Dr who’s rude, impatient & non sympathetic what so ever. Can’t speak for the other Drs but if you go here don’t get the old hag who hates his job & life.

victoria paulino

I have had some bad and good times with the clinic but I haven't encounter any rude front desk receptionists. Bad times, with other doctors. I graduated as an M.O.A and practiced my profession, so I know up to how long patients sh be attended, and I encountered Drs. not following their specific time with patients. The only Dr., on my experienced with the clinic, doing n performing her duty par excellence, is Dr. D.M. Wozny... she is an amazing Dr...

Mohaimen Al-Ghreibawi

Been going here since I was a child, my family doctor is Dr. Sun. She herself has always been great to me and my family, and exerts real care and passion in what she does. The receptionist staff is very kind, and overall the facility maintains a professional atmosphere.

I agree with others.I was totally disappointed the man Doctor .I remember when I was really sick,He didn't even listen to me,and he said "you can take Tylenol "that's It.I think that he has to listen to patients even if it's not big deal for him. We need help !!!!that's why we go to see a doctor. But if he doesn't want to listen ,there is no point to go there.Dr monam in the coal habor is the best doctor!!!!!!!!

Brandy Toutant

Wow this place is literally a joke they just told me they can’t see my little girl cause we didn’t make an appointment but on their website it clearly says walk-ins welcome!! My daughter was in so much pain from breaking her finger they have no compassion here this place is ridiculous! They were also extremely rude DONT GO HERE!

Stefanie Middleton

Staff is always friendly towards me, Dr.Sun was the first doctor I've seen that actually listened and helped me with my health. Yes waits can be long, but that's every clinic it seems these days

Peggy Se Ni

This place is a joke! The first time I went there, they told me they don't accept guard me insurance which in their site and guard me's site it says that they do and the second time I went there at 5pm and they told they are closed while it's clearly written they close at 6pm not 5pm.

Ambica M

they don't really care about the patient.

Dr. Milgrom is the worst excuse for a doctor I have ever come across. From the moment he steps in the door you instantly feel a sense that you being there is causing him a great annoyance. Forget even explaining what the issue is, because he will roll his eyes, and somehow manages to make you feel like you're doing something wrong just by coming in. The questions he asks are rude and accusatory and his quick attempt at diagnosis is pathetic I generally do not write reviews, but if my review will be the one to convince someone to go to a different clinic, then I have done my part. Now i'm sure that the other staff at the clinic who read these reviews (if they do) think to themselves "good! that just means less people coming in!" but i implore you to think about how you felt when you were sick, how you felt when you needed to come in to get help from a doctor... and now think about how awful it would feel to come in for help but instead leave feeling ten times more awful. You are doing a disservice to your community and the medical profession by allowing this person to be treating patients. Please, do not continue to support a doctor that treats his patients like they are worthless trash.

Jeremy Boudreau

Google says they're open. They are not. Over a year and they have not updated their hours.

Callen Mascardo

Worst walk in clinic! The line up is way too long to see a doctor and the staff are really rude! And when you do see the doctor, they always tell you there's nothing wrong with you. I'm just like ok, you made me wait 2-3 hours only to tell me there's nothing wrong with me?!

Tudor Ticusan

i had been coming here for years when I had been too sick to make it to my family GP in Richmond, BC because to see my GP I have to take 3 buses to get there. Recently, Dr. Sun, told me that there was no point in doing any lab tests because they don't do any follow up at the clinic and that besides, I have a family GP and that there was no point in coming to the clinic anymore because they won't do anything for me because I have a family doctor that I can see. After almost 8 years of going to this clinic this is what I get, a kick in the teeth. A walk in clinic shouldn't be discriminating patients for any reason. When you need medical attention that is what you should be receiving. Dr. Milgrom, is likely to put your name on the computer to flag you as a "Do not see," should you challenge his capability or judgement. You might also not want to see him again either, he is very arrogant and rude.

Joutiar Ghaderyan

Very bad service. It took me 2 hours to see a doctor and after seeing him he doesn't give a damp about my problem. Overall he spent not even one minute with a medicine that I already told him that doesn't give me any results

Yvette Tse

Wasted 2.5 hours of my life and didn't see a doctor. Waited 2 hours and 15 minutes before the receptionist took me to the doctor's office where I had to wait for another 15 minutes. Then finally the doctor came in and said he couldn't write me a prescription for a pair of compression stockings. He didn't even let me finish asking questions. So I was removed from the office and asked to go back to receptionist to wait again. I just walked out of there. It's a ridiculous rude place. Will never go back again

Jay Willette

I totally agree with comments here; this place is a prime example of Canadian Healthcare Failure... This guy Milgrom?? is he actually a doctor, or just playing one at this sad excuse for a medical clinic. I've lived in many other countries over past 10+ years....I can tell you that the mythology of our health care 'superiority' is a lot like the Americans belief in their 'exceptionalism' just a myth perpetuated by those with vested interests.. lab could not read Milgrom's writing, so my tests were delayed for a whole week!.Then, when I returned for results... I was informed my blood panel and xray and ultrasound would be sent to my PC physician. And it was suggested I'd need a biopsy. After several attempts to reach my PC...I finally was told they did not receive these reports and further, they did not have contact information for this clinic!! Calling the clinic myself.. they indicated 'oh yes, we'll fax the reports right away'... they had not done it.. I may have something as serious as lymphoma, but it may still be some time before this diagnosis can be made. Canada has a badly broken 'system' for health care and the sad thing is we cannot fix it until we admit it is broken.

Wonderful personalized service at the New West 6 & 6 location. The website is confusing re: PCR-tests but the staff solved my conundrum beautifully. Thank you!

If I could write a 0 star review I would. I've had bad experiences at this clinic multiple times, but this last visit was exceptionally bad. I was told that my wait time initially would be 45 minutes, and to come back after taking a walk. I did so, and came back at the instructed time. It ended up being 3 hours before I saw a doctor; the entire time as I waited, the front desk staff kept telling new walk ins that the wait time was "only 30 minutes" and "wouldn't be too long" despite me sitting there for the past 3 hours. When I saw the doctor, I did a urine test, and he came into the room and told me it was negative and wanted me to leave. I asked why am I still having symptoms if the test is negative? and listed my symptoms. He told me he did not know and suggested that I go to another clinic. This doctor spends far too much time on each patient, creating insane wait times, and doesn't even appear to care about the patients. He was not concerned that I was having pain while breathing, and was not concerned about my other symptoms since the urine test came back negative. The front desk staff are incapable of estimating wait times properly, and are very rude. I kept being told that I was to be seen after the 1 person ahead of me, yet multiple people kept being called and taken into a doctors room before me. Do not waste your time at this clinic. Insane wait time. Doctors have no empathy or knowledge. You will leave without having gotten help and wasting your day.

Brianna Reid

Their website says they have a nurse practitioner accepting new patients, so I called at the beginning of October to enquire about it. They said to call back at the beginning of November as they said they weren't taking patients yet, so I called today (Nov 2nd) and they said they are no longer accepting patients. I would suggest they remove that information off of their website, as I waited a month when I could have looked for another dr or NP in the area.

Kristi M

Doctor Chew or whatever his name is , I went there for my son today, doesn’t even look at my son and diagnosed him!!! He’s a complete idiot. Gives me the wrong prescription. Never going back there again!!!! This doctor is awful he definitely needs to retire!!!!!he clearly just there for the MONEY!!!!!

Love the girls at the front. Very are very family friendly and get to know their clients personally. There is however more bad doctors then good. Dr.sun i had for years was good at the beginning but begun having a dismissive, careless attitude, and contently reminds me to find another family doctor. Dr.Milgram is very very rude, and you can usually see his patients leave cursing him vowing never to see him again. Hes condescending, and tends to lecture his patients negatively as if they are all ignorant people wasting his time. There is another Asian man doctor i forget his name, but he has miss diagnosed me twice in 2 years for having a cold when it was bronchitis, refusing to test for any signs of it. Both times it developed to ammonia and i was out of work for months. He still refuses to see this as his fault. Dr. Arcade is my current doctor there, and i really like her so far though she is still very new with me and my family. So far shes warm and family friendly. Hope this helps =)

I saw many bad reviews of this clinic and i was afraid of going there but i didnt have any other options as this was the closest one. I was quite surprised because the staff was very kind and helpful. The doctor I saw was very kind as well. You can't expect to be treated as a family doctor would treat you but for a walk-in clinic, it was pretty good actually.

The situation with Coronavirus has been very stressful for me, trying to get in to see a doctor. They were able to get me in right away today. I was really surprised because I read so many negative reviews on here, but this place has a lovely staff. Both the reception and the doctors are great. I especially like the male receptionist there - he was very helpful and understanding!!

Very rude staff nobody cares in that building

Care Point Medical's customer service is comparable to Walmart. Or as a fast food joint. They see you as another person ordering a hamburger. They want you in and out as quickly as possible. Is there any standard of practise for these "doctors?" Where they're governed and checked up on? I asked to see a specialist for my wrist and I was denied. A male doctor here told me he didn't think I needed one. Does one have to constantly dog people to have something done? I went to see my family practitioner and she set me up for an appointment. Was that so hard now? This place is a tremendous joke.

My partner saw "Dr" Milgrom to refill his antidepressant prescription. Milgrom was incredibly suspicious and told my partner that his depression was his own fault. He did write a prescription (though it was wrong) before shoving it in to my partner's chest and saying "Get out of my office". When filling the prescription, the pharmacist noticed that the dosage was wrong. She phoned the doctors office and waited 20 minutes only to have Milgrom say "I don't trust this patient" and hang up. The pharmacist then needed to fax a prescription change request in to the doctors office, wasting yet more time. People suffering from depression are at risk of self harm and suicide. Doctors like Milgrom are going to turn people away from much needed help and may even result in people harming or killing themselves. I pity anybody who Care Point inflicts Milgrom upon. He is a pathetic excuse for a doctor.

Adam Dileva

Front staff is friendly and helpful, but prepare to wait a minimum 30 to 60 minutes passed your appointment time to actually be seen. Every single time this happens, even first thing in the morning.

Better be sick than wasting your time in there Doctors are terrible , Dr Yu is the worst of all. He tried to remove a cyst from my arm without my consent and without anesthesia .Horrible place

Julia Huynh

Great clinic with hard working and VERY patient staff. Emmy, Kerry and Melody are very professional and efficient with what they do. The NP and physicians are knowledgeable, treat their patients with utmost kindness and respect. Thank you to the fabulous team at Care Point New West!!

Jayne Raeburn

Great doctors & staff! Very compassionate even tho we're going through Covid times I got immediate attention to medical issues! The nurses were fantastic! Highly recommend this clinic!

Maddy Brookes

Got right in to see a doctor and got my prescription. Went in about 30 minutes before they said they opened and was first on the list.

Imee Navs

Bad customer service....just wondering why this clinic is still operating. Why? They confused patients by telling on the phone if you want an appointment that they dont take appoinments we can go directly to the clinic only to find out when i reached at the clinic they don't take patients anymore at 10:50 am because they are short of doctors that day and they are done for the day. For Christ sake i drove 25km from my home to the clinic only to be denied and only i just need the freakin' prescription that doesn't even take 5 min. To write it. I am a very busy person having 2 jobs and family working 7 days a week and just taking day off that day for my.medication that i haven't taken for almost 2 weeks already because if this clinic's bullshits!

Timothy Danielson

Saw Doctor Takota. No complaints. He was tactful, respectful and I would recommend him and Dr.Miller, who we normally see.

Julia McArthur

Staff at the clinic were very friendly and efficient, provided details of when results would be expected, and test completion was done quickly with lab technician explaining the process. Results came back sooner than expected. Great clinic and staff.

This use to be a decent place but after today it has become painfully obvious that they don’t care about their patience. Avoid this place at all costs unless you enjoy wasting your time

I have always had good experiences with the women doctors here. They make me feel comfortable, answer my questions and explain things well.

Jeff “BitRaiser” Phillips

This place is consistently ridiculous. Long waits, unfriendly desk staff, and uninterested doctors. They post hours of operation from 8 to 8, yet often close shortly after noon. Despite being a busy center with no other close options for people, they usually only have one doctor on staff. If you can avoid coming here, do so.

Ran Moore

Horrendous experience AGAIN!!! I haven't been to this medical clinic in a couple of years due to having found a somewhat better practitioner elsewhere and a certain irritable, haughty doctor that works at this medical clinic. I don't know what this certain doctors problem is but every time I was unlucky to see him on a walk in basis he acts judgmental and pompous patronizing and condescending. Its bad enough when you go to the ER and overhear the doctors there complaining of entitled patients in this country with insignificant problems vs some other country they worked in. What happened to the kind doctors of my childhood?

Jenny Shen

COVID PCR test was done efficiently. No problem with the booking process. Got my result the next day afternoon. Free parking was great.

With the expection of the Australian (very insulting and rude) doctor, I’ve always had a good experience. The other doctors and staff have all been professional and polite. It’s a busy clinic!

KIM Sung Hee

Efficient administration (quick processing) Result delivered on time: 1:30 pm through e-mail, tested one day earlier 11:00 AM.

Came in for a walk-in on a Sunday. Was told there would be an hour wait and this was accurate. Superb customer service from the front desk staff and Dr. Chiu. Wait times for all walk in clinics in the lower mainland are very long, so come early and be prepared to wait. My experience here was very pleasant.

Mesai Etsehiwot

The only reason why I'm ok with that one star is for the front desk which were amazing! As for the Dr who saw me(I think with Australian accent) was sooooo bad that he ruined my first pregnancy experience! I went for a referral and he basically ignored all my questions and kept writing on his pad for what test i should do before he refers me. I asked him a simple question such as i get migraines, any alternative things to medicine you could recommend?, he completely ignores me!!! not a word and he kept on writing! who does that?!!!! I asked another question(i don't learn) I've drank in the past week not knowing I was pregnant, any harm to the child? he goes in the most dismissive disgusted way " well don't drink then!" I just told you i DID not am. I would post his name but he made it extra difficult to scratch his name so it's not readable. I'll get his name!! my mission!

Dave Cameron

The DR was very kind and the diagnosis was fine. However due to the racist lady sitting at the front desk I'm still fighting MSP 5 months later to get a refund. Wife and I have a family account, apparently my insurance is fine but wife's is invalid, we had to pay out of pocket. Might as well go to America. Update: Thanks Bob. Since we are both insured residents of British Columbia and two care cards were both produced in order to query MSP, surely you will be happy to refund the money then? I am happy to provide proof of insurance in good standing backdated from before the date of servcies.

Meghan Boulanger

Best walk in clinic around. Rarely have to wait long and the staff are very friendly!

Jesse Kaellis

The receptionists were very nice. The doctor, a little English or Australian guy, was intentionally rude and brusque. I went for a prescription for Minoxidil and Tectate. "Why do you want Minoxidil?" "I'm losing my hair." He writes me script for 2% Minoxidil which is over the counter strength and I can't read his writing and I had to go back for a correction. And he was rude about that, too. He fixed it for 5% but he was angry. Like it was my fault. On the initial visit he asks me, "Where do you work?" "I don't work anywhere I'm on disability. No response from him. I try to explain, I have a spinal disease that I had a surgery for in 2011. I have difficulty walking. My last work was as a security guard and I got laid off because the pain was too much and I couldn't do my patrols. What business is it of his where I work, or why I can't? He seemed to be implying that I was a freeloader, but I worked during periods of intense pain for two years and finally I could scarcely stand. I actually have multiple disabilities but the other ones wouldn't keep me from working. My disease is incurable and I see a pt to try to manage it. Anyway, it doesn't matter. My sister took my father there, he is elderly and suffering from dementia and she had the same experience with this guy, this doctor. I won't go back there and I regularly use the 10th Street Medical Clinic, where I have known them for over 10 years, and they are very nice to me, all three doctors. I just used the Care Point because I was there, and they were open. I would avoid this clinic.

Kate Szymczak

I’m not sure I have full confidence in this place. The receptionist is always confused and the doctors don’t seem very experienced.

Faroon

Worked related injury, that was not properly diagnosed properly.

John Kurz

I'm not a fan of clinic style medicine. Acute care isn't available and continuity of care isn't likely.

Brandon Collins

I visited this clinic today as a walk-in. I got in almost immediately, which I was surprised about. All of the front counter staff and other medical assistants were very friendly. And then came the doctor. I didn't catch his name, but he was an older man and sounds like this "Dr Chiu" that other reviews mention. Anyway, I explain my symptoms to him and he runs a test and then takes a further look. He proceeds to tell me what the issue is. I ask him what I can do about the excruciating pain that I am in. He replies "there shouldn't be any pain". I say "no there's a ton of pain... Like a lot". He says "no... I wouldn't lie". Wait, what? He is telling ME whether or not I was in pain? And that was that. How can a doctor tell me that I'm not in pain? The only reason I went there in the first place was because of the pain I was in.

Intrakit Productions

This is the worst doctor ever ...I wana beat him up

They state they have walk-in appointments, but this is not true. Telemedicine only, and a 5 day waiting period. Super disappointed as they used to have exceptional service.

We had a good doctor, and it was the only place we found open on January 2!

I was in riding school for my motorcycle license and got stuck under the bike. Luckily I had proper riding boots but my ankle was still sore and weight bearing was difficult. I came to Care Point to see Dr.Arcadi. She examined and tested my ankle and said I don’t have to worry. I’ll be fine in 10-14 days, just have to take it easy. She wrote me an X-ray referral in case the pain got worse. (No more pain, No X-ray needed.) Thank you Dr. Arcadi for your kind care. The front desk staff was also very understanding and compassionate. Melody was very helpful about; listing me to see the doctor, advising on how long my wait time to see Dr.Arcadi, how to manage my pain in the mean time, when and where to go for my X-ray. I have been coming to this clinic for years and have received above and beyond care. Thank you for all your hard work!

I've been coming here for 5 years to get prescriptions for birth control. The first time the doctor asked how old i was and when he was told i'd just turned 19 he said "so you've been sexually active for 2...3 years?" I left feeling ashamed and humiliated. That was doctor milgrim by the way. I hear i'm not the only one to beg not to be put on his patient list. I've gone in for vomiting and been told my test results weren't in. I said "I'm here because i was sent home from work for vomiting" I was told "Mam, you're confusing me!" I saw someone more than once for allergy testing and was tested for allergies to dust mites and trees and was told if i was concerned about peanuts etc...that i'd have to test MYSELF and make another appointment with a 3 month wait. I've had them look more than once at my plantar's warts and they tell me to use duct tape every time and once i was told they weren't even plantar's warts. When my birth control brand had a recall the doctor knew nothing about it and said it was fine. It feels like every time i go in i have to wait an hour to be asked what I want THEM to do. Am I supposed to diagnose myself? The waits are so long I have multiple serious problems like ear ringing and extreme foot pain, and a developing neck hunch and I only have time for a prescription to be written before I'm sent on my way. I can't actually get help for my medical needs. The worst was when my elderly grandmother was prescribed conflicting medications and when my mother called to ask about the extremely high dose they said it was fine. When she ended up in the hospital for kidney failure the doctor accused my mother of giving her too much and "nobody would prescribe that much!!" I feel really trapped since I have no idea where else to go...

Anna Yang

I got there at around 9 for walk-in and was able to see Dr. Arcadi around 9:40. Not too bad of a wait at all! The ladies at the front desk were very nice and the doctor was kind as well.

The doctor I saw was insulting. I have an emergency dental appointment in two days due to two broken rear teeth, I went in hoping to be prescribed something for the pain. I have weak enamel, like so many of us. The doctor looked in my mouth and proceeded to tell me what terrible teeth I have. If I could post a picture of my smile I would. I actually have very nice teeth and the orthadontic bill to prove it. I was embarrassed to begin with and the doctor attending to me made me feel worse. Needles to say, at 35 years-old, my feelings were hurt. I will never go back to this clinic ever again.

SITH Rattery

It probably depends which doctor you get. Dr Wozny is fantastic!

Checked medimap for wait times, stated 40mins b4 going. I've been here a handful of times with no issues. Waited appox 1hr20mins to see dr milgrum who was attentive and answered all my questions. If u want immediate attention for ur flu symptoms, then go elsewhere. Other than that, b a patient with patience.

Terrible place to visit. Not organized. Embarrassing operation. Waited 2 hours. Everything is sad about this place. Avoid.

Sandra Cotrim

Hours say open until 5pm on Sundays. Got there at 1pm and they were closed. Receptionist said hours are subject to change and there is nothing she can do. Told her about the hours on the site and she said it wasn’t her problem. Very unhelpful.

Tafneem Hajee

Both times I have arrived at 8am when they open and I'm told the doctor is not in or they have a closed sign on the door. What's the point of having operating hours if they don't follow them?

Kirsten Chelsea

My daughter and I come to this clinic when we need and the front desk staff are always helpful. The clinic is clean and plenty off places to sit. The wait times vary depending on the time or day. We usually see doctor sun, she's very nice, understanding of our needs, and has been accurate with our diagnosis.

During Covid 19 I was concerned about my health and how I would be able to get in contact with my doctor. I has some major events happen in my life as I am sure many others have as well, where I needed to speak with my doctor. I was very please with the response I had from the staff and my doctor. I feel vey supported and cared for. I want to thank my doctor and all the staff at CarePoint Medical New West for all of their support.

Christy Johnson

I am only giving it one star because I have to give a star in order to post if I could they would get zero Stars showed up at 4:45 the hours on the door say they're open till 6 there online hours say they're open until 6...they said they were closed because the doctor has seen his quota of patients for the day I was always under the assumption doctors were there to help....apparently it is all about money in New West they don't care about the patients they only care about the money so once they made their money for the day they will shut down regardless as to what time it is do not waste your time going to any walk-in clinic in New West as I've been to two of them and both of them closed early due to the fact that they and I quote met their quota and I went 3 times and each time they closed early..so I went to a clinic in Vancouver who said they closed at 6pm i showed up at 550 an they saw me i left at 625 an they were still taking patients that's a real clinic

This is a horrible clinic that is breaking the Business Practice and Consumer Protection Act. I needed a form filled out for missing work due to illness and showed the MOA the form upon arrival in order to determine prices. The lady quoted me a price I agreed to pay but she stated that they only accept cash because their Interac machine was down. I went to get exact change. I came back and the doctor completed the form. Once I came to the front desk to pay for the form, all of a sudden the price increased by more than DOUBLE the amount previously quoted. This is called deception. Were they scared that if they quoted me the correct and over-priced amount that I would take my business elsewhere? Perhaps thats why they felt it was necessary to quote me a low price and get me in the door and then increase the price?? I stated that there are signs all over their office stating that patients need to show forms to MOAs and request a price. That is EXACTLY what I did. I stated that this was not acceptable and they told me there was nothing they could do. Really? I guess it makes sense for me to pay for their mistake and deception. (NOT) Last time I checked, (and it's not rocket science) it's called making a smart business decision to take a small one time loss as an exception, coach and train your staff on how to do their job accurately so the same mistake isn't repeated, and then ensure the client leaves satisfied so s/he returns and not only will you earn that money back, but can earn profits from return visits. You would expect better service from a clinic you've been visiting for almost 20 years. I am appalled as I write this review. I will be reaching out to others regarding this matter if its not resolved accurately. I am supposed to contact a Supervisor tomorrow to follow up as they wouldn't release the form to me without paying the higher price. I will provide an update shortly.

This clinic has been proving excellent care to my family for many years. I’ve seen many walk ins being abusive to the staff here because of wait times and the staff are extremely professional. I appreciate the dedication of the doctors and staff at this clinic. They do an incredible job under very demanding and stressful conditions.

Scott Robertson

Worst clinic! Waiting for hours to get bare minimum attention, get interrupted before you can even explain the symptoms and get send away with advise to take tylenol\ibuprofen. Dr. Milgrom needs to get fired!

Gios Cervelo

Nope. Stay away. Wanted to charge 220 for a pro drivers medical. And had to wait a week for an appointment. Went to their competition and got the test done for 100 bucks less and done the same day.

Matt R Knez

Pretty annoying coming to the clinic in person only to find out it is closed when it states its open on their web site. Even phoning ahead of time is a waste of time: you get a voice message that states nobody is answering the phone due to high call volumes and tells you not to leave a voicemail.

This place is a joke. The front desk is unorganized, the receptionists are taking people in as they see fit. Had a 10.45 am appointment,11.30 rolled by,and still waiting. Heard the receptionists whisper among themselves how they wont let me in still because im complaining. I was here a couple of weeks ago to inquire about a lost ultrasound result that they never bothered to call me about or find. Waited for 4hrs,only to spend 5 mins with the doctor. Worst, most ineffective clinic I ever had the misfortune to stumble upon.

Christine B

I have been going to this clinic for over 20 years now. I have found the staff to be very helpful and VERY nice. While it is true that there have been some doctors that seem disinterested in finding the root cause of the problem, the other doctors more than make up for it. I love them all, and am now taking my BF there as well!

Ángel V.

Disappointing, on their website they say they accept traveling insurance but no, a waste of time.

Michael McDonald

I wouldnt waste your time trying to get in. Hours posted online and in store are different and always changing.

I love this Carepoint Medical. Very convenient as it is located uptown New West. The receptionists Emy, Kerry and Melody are the sweetest and hardworking ladies. My family doctor R. Dun is the BEST. Very thorough, happy to see all her patients, always have good advice and good to talk to about all my sores, pains, and sickness. Great doctor and highly recommended to anyone who needs a caring doctor. Thanks and Healthiest Wishes 2021

If it is officially called clinic in Canada standard it’s great shame I visit them three times after last visit the doctor or nurse idk exactly said I’m fine and I had a doubt about him and her I went to another clinic and medclinic sent me for emergency and dr Mathew in Columbia st saved my life. And already I report it. Don’t waste your life in care point . I don’t think there is a doctor in this clinic!!

Brandon Tse

Worst experience ever . ( UPDATED BELOW) If you are looking for doctors that will treat you like an idiot and do nothing for your health this is the place to be. Dr. Gayad. The second you meet this doctor he acts like you are a germ that he wants to get out of his office as soon as possible . He does not listen to patient needs fully and just slaps them with the quickest solution he can think of . Here’s my experience I came to the office because of crippling joint pain that prevented me from doing basic tasks like put on a shirt , I had a fever , a rash , and constant headaches, and also dull pains in my groins. As I explained my symptoms he told me that I most likely injured my shoulders through exercise or slept weird . I told him that I had not exercised in weeks and the pain started a week ago . He completely ignored the fact and told me to take Advil . I showed him the rash I had and he assumed I had an infection and said “ I don’t know where though or if you really have one “ here’s some antibiotics. I brought up the groin pain and told him I also have a lump . He said is there swelling ? I said no . Then he blamed it on me . Questioned what I do on my private time . I brought it up a few times because I do my due diligence before going to the doctors to make their job as easy as possible, and read that some serious conditions involving those areas don’t always have swelling , he ignored. I have now gone through what he prescribed out of the fact that yes he is the doctor and not me . But I am still in pain , and think the lump is bigger . It’s 4am in the morning and feel like my body is going to break into pieces. A little respect and listening goes a long way , that’s all that was missing really . But I guess this doesn’t appear when the doctor does not care if you actually get better or not . Don’t waste your time . Find a different clinic if you can , that’s what I will have to do in the morning . Completely negligent and unsympathetic, that is Dr Gayad. (Health Update ) Thanks to the amount of pain and symptoms growing on the daily basis I checked myself into the ER at Royal Columbia Hospital. They throughly checked out my symptoms, ran me through Urine, Xray, and blood tests. They found out my White blood cells , platelets and inflammation is all high. They were unable to detect what I have through basic testing and now I have to go for further testing within the week. ( when normally it would take up to a month) I have had red eyes for a week , severe joint pain , a constant fever , fatigue and more. The antibiotics did absolutely nothing and the practicing doctor at the hospital said “ I can’t understand why the doctor perscribed anti biotics , anti biotics are typically not used for joint pain “ I suffered for an additional week because of this doctor . Possibly made me sicker because of the neglect of care . Really think twice about going here , especially if you see Dr Gayad.

Just the best staff! So caring and considerate; I’m constantly impressed by the quality of care the doctors provide as well :D

I had an appointment at 11:15 and didn't see the doctor until 12:50. This was not particularly bothersome, I understand how these things can get behind. The nurse/medical assistant who led me into my room was very pleasant, but couldn't offer much in the way of explanation, which is also understandable. My main issue is with Dr. Milgram, an old British man, who was the doctor I met with. He didn't answer or gave a non-explanatory answer to every question I asked him. I understand that he is not a specialist, and so may not have been able to accurately diagnose my condition, and that perhaps he thinks his patients do not need to be informed (by him) about the illnesses he diagnoses or medications he prescribes, especially when he is 1.5h behind, but I not only seek healing when I visit a doctor, but information about (my) health to be proactive about it. In this regard, he has seemed very reluctant to help. Perhaps he is always in a rush or perhaps he lacks the communication skills to do so. Either way, I can't help but question his competency. I would recommend avoiding the clinic altogether because I was unlucky enough to get him the two times I went. I will not be back.

Wendy Tellier (Wendy the Wicked)

Poor-Fair isn't anywhere near the rating I would give, I would go with TERRIBLE! With all of the advances in awareness to mental health in the Lower Mainland, I have assumed that treatment and care for those who are mentally ill will have gotten better as well. I was disheartened to hear that the doctors at this clinic were 100% unhelpful to my sister who was experiencing quite a few problems with anxiety and depression. After counseling and years of treatment, my sister went into the clinic simply for an adjustment to her medication. The doctors and staff were extremely rude to her, claiming because she was not "injured or trying to commit suicide" that they would not help her. They allowed her to leave the clinic grieving and hurt that they would not help her. Mental Health is not a joke. HOW DARE YOU TURN HER AWAY!!! This is a disease that needs YOUR help! YOU as Doctors swore an oath to us civilians, and you have NO RIGHT to do such a terrible thing to a hurting woman. You have a responsibility to us, LIVE IT, or go into a different profession.

Came in due to the fact I can feel a sinus infection beginning.. he looked in my ears less then one second each then my throat for two seconds. Touched my throat roughly.. Even tho it was nothing to do with my throat didn't even check anything with my sinus and told me there was nothing wrong.. all I need was a anti biotic.. I saw him all together MAYBE two minutes. Never going back there. Rudest doctor I've EVER SEEN. front desk lady was nice... That's what the one star is for.....

Jessica Grewal

I left crying and in so much pain and discomfort. I went in because I have a bladder infection which was later confirmed by another doctor (Milgrom). I spent almost 2 hours waiting and the doctor spent maybe 2 minutes with me, was rude, cut me off, and said that I don't have a bladder infection although I have all the symptoms and have gotten them often since childhood. I politely told him that I do think it might be an infection to which he replied 'well do you want to go somewhere else?' He told me to drink water and gave me pain meds which I don't need or want.

Go Anywhere Else! (I would never normally write a review, except that this medical-centre is the Worst, and maybe I can save you some time and humiliation.) Going for a blood pressure test for a potential new job, I was kept waiting over an hour. When Dr. Milgrom came to check my blood pressure, he didn't use a modern, electronic blood-pressure tester, and found my blood-pressure was slightly high. He asked me why, I said, "Because I've been waiting over an hour." He said, "Wait here and we'll do it again in a few minutes." While I was waiting I saw that he had already ticked the 'No' box for the question, 'Is the applicant physically capable of taking the test.' After another 15 minutes waiting, he came back and found my blood pressure was, of course, higher. I went to another clinic in the Royal City Centre and then told me my blood pressure was fine, 128/83, I only had to wait 10 minutes, and they used a proper blood-pressure tester. Dr. Milgrom seems to be an eccentric old fool, the kind of old doctor who thinks he has seen everything and doesn't need to bother with modern equipment, like a proper blood-pressure machine. I think the CBI Care Point have taken their approach to their patients (customers essentially) from the McDonald's next door: Just get the people in and out as quickly as possible, give them a new prescription and get their money. Perhaps the other doctors are better. Milgrom came in the room with a smug little grin on his face, wearing the shabbiest old clothes, and with an inadequate examination decides I'm not fit to take a physical test, in spite of keeping myself in excellent physical condition. I only wish the situation were reversed and I could test him on his modern, practical examination techniques. I suspect his medical qualifications and ability are long expired.

Went on Sunday due to my family doc not open, front desk lady was very kind and friendly. However came time to see doc, told him i have a bad cold for over a week, wheezing, hard to breath, no signs of improvement in 8 days. He told me I have a tranchitist it's in the throat, don't talk and it will get better no antibiotics is needed, drink hot stuff, no follow up appt. Went to family doc next day Monday to double check, turns out I have bronchitis need antibiotics before it's turns into pneumonia w/follow up on appt. Thursday. Did catch the docs name, but the star is for receptionist. I'm so glad I have a family doc but I couldn't imagine the suffering for the ppl that don't.

Rowan Birch

Great doctors and staff. Always friendly and efficient. These days it seems more people seem to think they have a right to verbally abuse the staff if they can't get front of the line. The doctors ought to give staff the power to blacklist anyone who behaves abusively. Anyway, thanks for being there Care Point.

Gaëlle Ramboanasolo

The nurse Dina and the receptionists were all absolutely lovely, understanding and very patient. Thank you!

hannah weber

The front desk staff are so great! I always call ahead to book appointments so I don't have problems with getting in quickly.

Susan Nadem

The worst medical office only one doctor works all day kids adults needs to suffer for the line up.

KL

I'd been using this clinic for over ten years. I'd say the receptionists perform quite up to par, but sometimes the waiting get longer than usual for reasons beyond their control. The doctors are nice and my usual doctor gives me a minimum of 5 minutes or even more as needed. That's why sometimes they overrun their 10-minute (my guess) per patient interval. I'd suggest they should take online bookings, like some other walk-in clinics. In my case, I can book in advance as my family doctor transferred to this clinic and still considered me his patient.

Gillian O'Keefe

The wait wasn’t bad. Though they were to close at 5 and I got in to see the dr at 4:30. Dr was clearly rushed. Not only did she not give me the time of day. But she registered my fever and did nothing, told me my symptoms were not what I thought they were, said to keep taking my antibiotics. And briskly had me out the door with nothing done or changed. When I finally got in to see my family dr I had become so ill I wasn’t eating. Only to find out I did infact have strep, thrush and an allergic reaction to the antibiotics I was taking. Very concerning. Wouldn’t advise going to them over anything.

Kimmy Dhami

The doctors at this clinic are WOREST. My mom went to this clinic twice and saw 2 different doctors. The doctor said it's just a virus take Advil sinus cold medicine. But that didn't work. She missed 2 weeks of work she decided to go to family doctor and she said my mom had infection and sent her to do some tests. In the test they found my mom had bad bacteria in her stomach. I recommend know one should go to this clinic.

peter stephenson

The people at the front desk are very patient and helped me get the help i needed quickly. I was in and out within an hour, not bad.

The medical operations assistants (non-uppity people would say front desk personnel or receptionist) have been problematic for years (often seem to not understand requests by phone, and pre-covid I saw them ignore people standing politely with their ticket). Yet we will always come back due tot he amazing Doctor Wozney. There is a high chance my husband's cancer is back (found a major lump near where the last tumor was removed) yet I can't book an appointment as the on line service is down, and redialing continually yesterday and today just gets the rather curt message that they are too busy to answer phones, listen to messages - or apparently fix the website. You'd think management would bring in more staff (even a receptionist temp) to help answer phones until the website is back up. Clearly not enough staff are getting enough hours to properly service the clientele -- ridiculous and unprofessional.

This place is terrible. If you like receptionist and doctors who absolutely do not care about people then this is the place to go

Rachel Kenzie

I went to this walk-in last weekend and was over-the-moon with how I was treated in comparison to my usual walk-in at Lougheed Mall. The ladies at the front were polite and organized, and the doctor I saw was very friendly and I felt she took the time to properly diagnose my issues (without making me feel embarrassed or rushed). On Saturdays they have 3 doctors on duty, while most walk-ins seem to only have 1 or 2. It's a busy place, but if you get there early enough then you don't end up wasting your whole day waiting around.

m cross

I have been going to Carepoint for many years. The staff have always been extremely friendly and helpful. Kerry is always pleasant and cheerful even on the busiest days. Melody has always gone above and beyond when I'm having issues getting appointments for my referrals. These 2 girls always go that extra mile. Keep up the good work ladies

City Explorer

Went on Saturday for an appointment but was told 2 hour wait. Only one doctor. Please hire more!!. On another occasion, had eye problem close to closing and doctor gave to steps to fix. Thanks!!!

I think that everyone is trying to do his best when treating patients. It's very rare that I post a comment about clinics as I think that it should be demanding to take care of patients. Nether less it does not give them the right to be mean with patients.I came with my wife as she was stressed to get her her medical results alone. When she was called, my wife asked to come with her. But a great and fabulous medical assistant (maybe she is a nurse) made another decision: only your wife is called. I silently accepted that statement as I am very bad at managing my emotions. But I also wanted to send this message to that person: I heard that you called my wife and I understand that privacy is a key in a healthcare. But denying the right to the patients to be supported by their families and friends is just inhuman and mean. If you don't understand these simple elements then find another job where you can be as bossy as you want. If in the other side you think that you overreacted with us then find à away to handle your mood.

One of the worst clinic in my life but regular level in vancouver or canada, so no choice. Fake five star reviews are jokes.

I saw Dr Rosemary Sun today, about some moles/marks on my skin . After explaining I take medication that may cause skin cancer, SHE PROMPTLY advised me to go see my GP to get a referral to a specialist. I asked her for the referral. She refused and advised I see my GP. She did not take the time to even LOOK at my moles/skin .. and on my way out of her office ... asked me "Do you need a prescription? " WHAT??? I am filing a complaint with the College of Physicians and Surgeons

Worst. Clinic. Ever. I went in for a follow up on a work related injury. I had gotten stitches but they had fallen out. The "doctor" Mr. Chiu (doesn't deserve to be addressed as a doctor) Came in and immediately got mad at ME because his desk staff filled out the proper forms for a work related visit. He then began to tell me that it wasn't a work related visit. I corrected him, and stated that yes this in fact a work related incident. He leaned in very close to me and told me that he doesn't want to argue because his "35 years" of experience. Interesting. Anyways I needed some antibiotics. He started writing the prescription before asking my allergies. I said don't you want to know my allergies? He said sure. I have a speech impediment. while I was trying to say my allergies, he finished writing the prescription. then he threw it at me and walked out. I went to the pharmacy and they wouldn't give me the prescription. you know why? Yup you guessed it. I'm allergic to what he prescribed me. Went back to the "clinic" and they were closed. Seriously. Fire that assuming, disrespectful man before he kills somebody. This "clinic" should not be open.

The front desk staff are rude and unprofessional. They talk about patients within ear shot of the other patients waiting and make fun of people that walk in even when they are “Closed” due to the maximum number of patients for that day. Sorry front desk staff not everyone is familiar with the workings of Medical Clinics and their processes. Maybe if you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say it at all. The doctor however was very professional, polite and seemed to care.

Got the result by 7pm the next day????

Absolute garbage, the only thing keeping this pathetic excuse of a medical clinic from have an even lower average rating, is that Google does not allow giving out zero stars. If extremely long wait times, and uncaring doctors are your thing, you have come to the right clinic.

Unwilling to perform simple requests, doctor made me fill out my own forms and then charged for them. 4th visit for same issue doctor said "what do you want me to do?" Don't see Dr. Milgrom - he's a total crank. He's misdiagnosed my UTIs variously as "the flu" and "appendicitis", and when I went in for severe arm/neck pain, I was told it was entirely due to my being "too fat", and told to take ibuprofen (I had already tried that) and lose 50 lbs. He is arrogant, incompetent, and has no regard for his patients. Otherwise, I'd recommend the female doctors generally over the male doctors if you must go here, and any other clinic over this one. Desk staff's always been fine when I've been in.

Przemyslaw Rosicki

incompetent Doctor prescribed wrong medication and never informed the patient. The issue came up in the follow up with another doctor who admitted that. the MOA was disrespectful towards the patient ( when she reported the issue to the doctor, overhead through the door)

Joanna S

Dr. Sun is sharp clinically. She's right to the point but is also compassionate, which helps if you're going in regarding a vulnerable issue or situation. She's caught stuff for our family that other doctors didn't notice. Front desk staff are wonderful, I can't say enough great things about them. Incredibly accommodating and kind. We made three appointments in one day and were no-shows (our condo flooded). I wanted to pay for the missed appointments and Melodie insisted we not pay and was very sympathetic. We've been coming here for years and are consistently happy with this clinic.

james h

There are really nice people working here. Always go here for anything i need

D J

Terrible clinic. Insanely rude/unprofessional front desk staff (especially the male receptionist who would be better suited working at a nightclub downtown with all of the sass he delivers patients). Called to obtain a manager or HO contact to speak with them about my experience I was told no one owns Care Point, they don't have a manager or HO and was hung up on. Called back and was picked up and hung up 2-3 times in a row before a different receptionist answered and was just as helpful. This place is a joke.

Horrible experience... Went in to see if there is anything I could take for skin issues and what the doctor would recommend for me.. He said he couldn't help me unless I went home and made a list of everything I have used... I said everything that you could buy in a drug store? Also, he had no idea what Proactive was.. He then said your skin isn't bad as he stood 7 feet away from me in a dark room...?? He ended up prescribing me something that was exactly like proactive and then went to walk away... I said I wasn't finished and he very rudely said "Okay what else?" When I asked about birth control since it has been a long time since being on it he asked what I used to use... I haven't used it in over a year so remembering the name was impossible and he said he couldn't prescribe me a birth control unless he knew what I was using? I'm not a doctor but it would have been nice if he asked my symptoms or allergies to the ones I used before and recommend one that would work best for me... Soooo.. Never going here ever again. Doctors are supposed to be helpful and not just there for a signature for people to use for prescriptions.. AWFUL.

Popsicle Pete

If there was anyway I could give this clinic a zero I would. While a few of the front desk people are great, the others are horrible, dismissive and rude. There is one doctor there (Milgrom) who is hands down the worst doctor I have ever seen. He has to be one of the rudest, uninterested, self centred doctors I have ever seen. If he hates his job as much as he seems to, it’s time to retire. He walked in to the room and I was looking up a number for a specialist for him, he walks in and says “ phones away”, like I was a child or something. I immediately told him why I looking at it, and not to talk to me like I was a child. He asked why I was there, I began to explain, and he cut me off and said “sorry I can’t help you” and walked out I followed him out and told him how rude and obnoxious he was. He actually followed me to the front desk, and told the to put in my file that he wouldn’t see me anymore. I told them the same. So now I’m in the middle of filing a formal complaint about him... DO NOT GO HERE! I’d rather sit in emergency for 4 hours than deal with this place.

I've been here twice and I would say it's good to excellent. The two docs I saw were efficient and capable. Dr. Arcadi was particularly good. Front desk clerical staff were also fast and helpful. But make no mistake, it's busy esp during flu season. Try to go first thing in the morning if you can.

The doctor(Mr.S.) i saw was not helpful at all and has attitude issues. "It's weird... It looks like a virus... You should check with the dentist and family doctor...", he was very impatient when i tried to ask him a second question. Try to avoid this guy.

No. No. And no! First time I went the office staff was very friendly. Got me in to see Dr. Gill very quickly. She diagnosed my problem and prescribed a cream that cost $55. Told me that if it didn't help in a couple of days that I should come back. I waited 3 days which was a Sun. so I phoned to see if it was open. The same receptionist who had been very friendly 3 days earlier was rude and uninterested. She said they might be open until 1 even though the sign on the door said 4. When I went in I was told that I would have a 2 hr. wait but I would not see Dr. Gill since she rarely worked there. I saw Dr. Chiu. He was useless. Barely glanced at my rash. Told me it was a build up of iron due to varicose veins. Huh?! Finally able to get an appointment today with a real doctor, my regular GP. She told me both drs. were wrong. The $55 cream was antibiotic, not anti-fungal so it would do nothing. She just rolled her eyes when I told her Dr. Chui's diagnosis. How are these people allowed to practice medicine in B.C. and be paid out of our medical system? What a disorganized, inefficient business!

I'm not at all surprised by the horrible ratings for this clinic. I've been here three times in the past week, hours before the website says it is supposed to close, but every time it's closed anywhere from 2-7 hours before the website says it should. It's always due to a "high volume of patients" so clearly the doctors here are more concerned about getting paid their fee from the government to do minimal work, than they are about the well being of people in this city. Maybe it's also a good time to mention how rude the staff here are, receptionists and doctors alike. I've only had one kind doctor in the years I've been here, and I only come back because of its proximity to my house and that's all. My father has been prescribed wrong medication at this clinic, which sent him to the hospital. I'm not sure how Dr. Milgrom has kept his job here, but I suppose as long as you "see" your number of patients per day, it doesn't seem to matter if you're rude to patients or overall prescribe them incorrectly. About a year ago my sister was told she likely had a serious disease, and when she inquired about it seconds later, this particular doctor said "you'll just have to wait for the results" before rudely shutting the door on her, leaving her in tears before she could ask anything at all. She spent a week in complete distress only to find out there was nothing wrong in the first place. How did this guy get through med school? I'm completely dissatisfied with the service (or lack thereof) I have received here, and won't be back. You'd think with such a low rating this clinic might try to at least keep the place open long enough to help these patients and perhaps attempt to redeem themselves a little, but as long as they keep getting paid to do practically nothing the well being of their patients won't be a priority.

There are a few things I can do to educate myself before going into a clinic like this - sit down and clearly right out on a piece of paper what it is I am going in for and what the issues are (goals/objectives from a patient perspective; of course, if you are able to). This way I don't forget to check off my list. Because it can get a bit silly in terms of clear & concise communications at this office which will result in unnecessary multiple visits that can tie up the system for others. It may be smart to take notes on doctor feedback and clarify follow-up visits (dates or if you should call for info where suggested). Don't leave it open ended with this office and do not rely on the admin or doctors to contact you - USE YOUR CALENDAR to take notes of visits and what the NEXT STEPS ARE. If you want to be a patient here be prepared to manage your paperwork, do a bit of online research and generate ideas on an overall health plan for yourself. This is if you are in a position to do so. After my 3rd visit I was absolutely furious about how "poor" the service was from the "doctor" in terms of taking a few extra minutes to discuss the issue in a thoughtful, caring way. This "doctor" always seems to come in and out of the room like her ass is on fire. I appreciate that you can get busy but this is not the best way to work with patients who need solid and thoughtful information about their visits/ailments. I had this distinct feeling that I was not welcome and I was being a nuisance - which was noted in other reviews. This made me feel better and reconfirmed and validated my thinking. This is a sure sign of things to come for those of us who are aging and who will be using more of the medical system in the very near future. I am personally looking at a longer-term strategy for supports that are more professional. I will not stop asking questions and I will be detailed in my approach to each visit. I don't want to go into see a doctor who is behaving in a "frantic" manner. This is not good energy. Slow down and take the time to consult with your patients in a professional manner (BALANCE). If that means instilling a little tiny checklist into your routine (computer) then do so. This way key pieces of data are not missed. Example: 1. How can I help you today OR where did we leave off last visit? 2. The issue is .... 3. The solution/recommendation is... 4. This is what I need from you... 5. These are the next steps... 6. You need to follow up with me on DATE/TIME, etc. 7. Do you have any questions for me? And for heaven's sake don't forget to smile upon entering the room and when we leave. This sets the entire tone for the visit. The admin team have gotten much better from prior years - I really noticed an improvement. I brought it up once and was told by the doctor that maybe I should seek out another office (!). There are a few who are still very rude/cranky. There is one in particularly who always looks disheveled, greasy shoulder length hair who likes to eat at the desk. Rarely ever smiles. This is not a good reflection on the office. I've found wait times were not too bad at key times of the day. If I'm going to go to this clinic I always have a little back-up plan to do a few other errands in the area for an hour - banking, shopping, meal, library, etc. And bring yourself a good book to read - keeps your mind preoccupied - playing with your phone can get boring after awhile. Now that's my take from someone who had some extra time and is not suffering a serious medical health concern at this point. So my emotional intelligence was in tact for the most part. But I do expect a REASONABLE level of PROFESSIONALISM from my physicians and their staff. I also expect the premises to be clean upon my visit - this has not always been the case with the examining rooms. Final thoughts - it's a handy place for pit stopping in, but if you can locate better physicians in a family type of practice then you better start researching for the long-term. Best of luck everyone and take care.

I have been a patient of this clinic for 10+ years. While there is no denying that the clinic is busy, I have found that the staff (both the doctors & the admin) are very professional & sincere in their efforts to provide a caring & safe environment.

A lot of people are going to bash the service they receive at this clinic but they don't understand how much of a high stress job it is to be a medical assistant. I am truly blessed for the support and help these ladies provide to our community walk in clinic, especially Mel who is the heart & soul of Care Point Medical. You can always count on her with checking up dates, referrals to specialist or asking for advice in terms which doctor will be suitable for you. Its a fair clinic with no favourites just pure integrity, respect, and love. Keep up the hard work everyone & Thank you for everything you do, Y'all are much appreciated.

I always get great service. They are a hard working group of doctors. Very happy to endorse this business

The doctors in this clinic doing nothing for patients. Long time to wait (usually 3 hours). short time (5 min) to talk to the doctors. They are very impatient. they can do nothing even if it's only small case, a small wound. All the doctors in this clinic are the same. they didn't give any treatment or medicine. they told me to see another doctor! if so, why this clinic still there?

I’ve been going to this place for almost three years now - and so far, I have not been disappointed with the physicians. (My assignments aren’t that challenging, and I mainly go for recurring prescription renewals when my family Dr is unavailable) My 1-star rating goes with the lack of professionalism of one of the front-desk staff. (a blonde, east-European accented woman in her 40s) that I found to be rude, obnoxious, and last but not the least LOUD. I can understand that staff can be overworked and especially, during peak-hours. My heart furthermore goes to the support employees who work in the healthcare field. My concern however, resides in the respect of the patient’s privacy or medical conditions - that besides the physician or the nurse, the waiting room does neither need to hear nor know about.

Doctor didnt even read the medical report stating I had an MCL injury. He assumed it was fine and ended our appointment. Luckily I read the form before I left, showed him that I did have a problem needing surgery, and insisted on a referral to another doctor. The referral didnt get sent for 6 months!!! By that time, my knee was on the mend. What a joke.

Front desk is terrible! Beyond unprofessional. I think one of the girls whose name I forgot (think it starts with a M) could use a lesson in compassion. She gives this medical centre a horrible image. Great doctors but will NOT be returning to this office due to the front desk ladies. Experience - Wednesday June 23, 2020.

Dr. Wozny is the best doctor ever!!!!!Kind, compassionate.A true professional .Extremely hard to find these days.I will love her forever for the care I received over a 4 year ordeal.I will not go to anyone else.

The most stupid unprofessional receptionist I have ever seen .. It looks like she’s using a way of express lane but you have to pay her .. I had to wait over 3.5?hrs after my appointment I think management should monitor what’s happening...

All of the waiting rooms smell like week old pho, the doctors are less charismatic then a Beefeater. PS you think with lack of work that gets done by the receptionist she would get more exercise and sunlight. I like the color scheme of the office though.

Generally, the clinic staff are nice but the place is mismanaged and they have one very bad Physician (Milgrom), in fact, he is one of the worst Physicians I have ever seen and I have seen a lot of physicians (I have worked in a Hospital for 25 years). This Physician asks the staff to book me for an appointment to review my test results and he insisted having me come in the middle of the day. So, I had to take the afternoon off to come and see him. While I was waiting at the clinic, the receptionist approaches me and tells me that the Physician could not see me today. I asked the receptionist to talk to the Dr. and tell him that I want to talk to him for a min but the receptionist was nervous and he said " I can't ask him that, he will scream at me. Please let me book you with another Physician tomorrow". As a result, I had lost a half day of work for nothing. When I went for my rescheduled appointment, I saw Dr. Chiu who is one of the nicest and most helpful Physicians I have ever seen. I am planning to see him again soon.

Not a long wait, Doctor was professional and reassuring, not sure what everyone is complaining about.

Tom Stone

I went at 3pm on a day it says they close at 6pm, there were people waiting. The receptionist told me they were closed and that the “doctors all left early today.” ??? I don’t understand at all. How can they just leave?
