I took my boyfriend here to get his rotten tooth extracted. He had already took all his medicine for the appointment and we were late and we apologized for being late to the appointment. Before coming to the office we called and said we were coming but the clerks at the desk constantly kept being rude.

Trust me..go anywhere else. Very unprofessional. I was a long time patient and found after Doug sold the practice it went downhill fast. When I had problems with work they had done I was told to go somewhere else to resolve.

The hygienist we had went above and beyond for my young friend with Autism. Not only was she gentle but she was reassuring with her clear communication. She made sure my friend was always comfortable and even laughing. It was a truly magical experience!

Such an amazing place to come. I was caring for some children that needed alot of care and they went above and beyond for us!!! We always were greeted with big smiles and happy hellos. Both Dr Kelly's were amazing and so friendly. I will definitly be coming back. Deena was so incredible our little one misses her and asks to go back frequently. Keep up the amazing work guys!!!

After my appointments the front desk clerk resorted to "YOU PEOPLE always walk out on your bill" and tried to convince me I didn't have insurance. Of course I paid right then, it was embarrassing and there are other dentists. I didn't even realize she had charged me $244.38 when the bill was $185.60. 20 years ago, when this place was new I remembered having problems with my native health insurance so I made sure to check before and after my first 2 appointments. When the lady who normally files for insurance came back from maternity leave I was reimbursed for $50 the lady at the desk had claimed from my insurance but the rest has been a complete mess to deal with. Everyone else was great but that was too much hassle

Kuddos to the whole staff and to DR Kelly. I was having an emergency being in pain all weekend. They made room for me and as i wished extracted my molar. It was efficient and didn't experience any pain even if the procedure was more complicated then expected do to with the nerves on my tooth. Thankful and very impressed!

This team is amazing!! They got my daughter in on very short notice and fixed her chip tooth within an hour. Now I know this does not happen often and I should be lucky they got us in so quick but under the circumstances they were brilliant and very fun, sweet and kind. we are absolutely switching dentists! I went quite a while ago I hope they fired that guy cause, I had a huge infection had been referred by my medical dr. For a medical extraction. They refused to do the medical extraction without me paying for costly cosmetic dentistry that I couldn't afford. I tried to get a referral to a different dentist but couldn't and now the tooth is almost gone from braking in my mouth. I can finally afford to get it fixed myself and I'm not going there that's for sure. I also had a friend that just needed a cap and they moved his teath over and said it was the best thing to do and now the teath they moved are slipping out. Just so they could make more money than simply giving him a prosthetic tooth. That place is a nightmare and should be shut down.

The one receptionist is just plain rude, I’ve never dealt with the other one so I can’t say anything about her. Everytime I call I get the rude one, and I just can’t stand calling the place anymore: they don’t work with budgets, won’t talk or work around a payment plan. Definitely don’t recommend this place.. I feel scared to even call and cancel appointments.

I am updating my review: We were contacted by one of the surgeons and discovered that we were misinformed by the receptionist, our son did not have a root canal performed, but a similar procedure that was necessary. While we still believe we should have been informed about all the extra work that was performed while we were still in the hospital as finding out by getting the bill was rude, we are not as upset about the experience. I have upped the review to 3 stars from 1.

I would highly recommend Kootenay Lake Dental. My family and I have been seeing Dr. Koshieff for over 6 years. Before moving to Nelson we would drive from Trail to go to his dental clinic. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and make every visit a pleasant experience. My son recently had to have a small cavity filled. Dr. Koshieff took extra care and time to make him feel at ease, so did his assistant. I do not believe my son would feel comfortable with any other dentist. I have total confidence recommending Dr. Koshieff and his clinic for any family.

The atmosphere in the clinic is superbly upbeat and the staff are all friendly, knowledgable and professional. Each treatment is thoughtfully planned out and options are communicated in a clear and conversational manner. It is clear this clinic strives for excellence. I highly recommend Kootenay Lake Dental.

Wonderful people who do the work. Dentists assistants. Great people. Unfortunately I cant say the same about the two women who work the front desk I have never met more rude and judgemental people in this type of industry. The interrogation I received for not being able to make an appointment was beyond unexceptional.when you cancell an appointment you are required to give 24 hours notice not 48 hours with a written report. Not to mention being told you dont have benefits when you know you do is a very stressful situation to go through every time you go to the dentist. Very very rude.
