This doctor (Dana Wong) has no bedside manners, interpersonal skills, and just seems cold altogether. I got nasal surgery from her, it went okay in terms of results. My nasal obstruction is gone now, but she seemed to lack the ability to properly reassure me about what she was going to do. She made me feel uneasy about her as a doctor and her competency to do the surgery properly. Also told me that her office would call in a month or so for a follow-up examination, but never came to fruition. I would avoid this doctor if bedside manners, empathy, and communication really matter to you. She seems like a robot that's ready to cut you up on the first day to be honest lol.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Wong and wished we'd seen her sooner. She explained everything as she was going along and was very apologetic and sincere when she told my husband she had to put the scope up his nose. Loved the fact that she mentioned smoking was a possible factor but understood completely that people with mental health issues smoked and had difficulty quitting. Thank you Dr. Wong!!

Dr. Dana Wong is an amazing and professional doctor. She recently did my tonsil and adenoid removal. She was kind, understanding and covered everything I needed to know about my surgery. Day of surgery she came out and checked in with me and prepared me again for what was going to happen :) I couldn't recommend her enough!

As with a lot of others, I found this doctor to be dismissive and rude. A huge part of patient care is people skills, and she is sorely lacking in this area. Extremely brusque to the point of unprofessional. If you want to have a conversation about your health and be able to have some input, this would not be the place for you.

Sarah Heasman

If you have a genuine problem, she's very nice, smart, quick and to the point.

I went to Dr. Wong for help with issues with my nose, it had previous trauma, needed to be reset and one nostril was not working well. The visits prior to surgery where pleasant and informative. She outlined a course of action to take which involved resting my nose, removing some cartilage and using the cartilage as grafts to strengthen and improve functionality of my nose. After surgery I immediately felt something was off. I could feel an obstruction in my left nostril which cut of air completely and the right nostril would totally collapse with anything more than a soft breath. The cartilage used on the left side as a graft was so bulky it now blocks the airway, and the right side was smaller but poorly positioned. The grafts she insisted upon ruined the functionality of my nose rather than improve it, as well dramatically altered the appearance of my nose. She also broke my nose but did not manage to reset it. When it came to expressing my concerns and disappointment with the surgery. She was not open to hearing anything negative about her ability’s and insisted my nose functioned like that prior to surgery. She referred me to someone els and told me she would not be seeing me anymore. Even after another referral to her to discuss the negative side effects of her surgery and to get some closure. She refused to see me. I now have to have a second surgery to remove her unnecessary unproportionate, improperly placed grafts. As well as reset my nose. I trusted Dr. Wong completely with her capabilities and she did not deliver. Her surgery actual made things much more worse than they ever where. If she would had properly informed me of the risks and that her surgery could leave me worse off, I would have not went through with it. Dr. Wong’s book smarts and planning are great. Seems clear to me that she has no actual hands on skill, capability or experience to back it up and follow through. Please do not let yourself be a test dummy to practice on as I was.

Would not listen tried to charge for surgery that's covered by medical system but had to wait to see other doctor to improve my apnea with surgery but she didn't care about my life being shorted .

Do you self a favour and get a referral to anyone but her- don’t waste your time.

Did not get into my appointment with the doctor at the time I was scheduled for. Did not tell me what was wrong, just a referral and to a hearing clinic, and they had no idea why I was sent to them.

I was sent to her for a chronic cough that I have had for 5 years. She looked and gave me a nose spray that didn't work. I also saw an asthma specialist who ordered a barium swallow and found that I had silent acid reflux and esophageal dysmotility. She then sent me back to Dr. Wong who said there was nothing she could do for me and told me to go see my GP to get a referral to a gastroenterologist. My GP quit his practice within a week and did not set up referral. I called Dr. Wong and asked if she could send in referral and she told me to go to a walk in and that she couldn't help me. She is horrible. I have never been treated so bad from anyone else in the medical field. Don't go to her.

Just like other reviewers mentioned, Dr Wong was cold blood and no bedside manners at all. All she wants is finish everything ASAP and kick you out.

If I could give zero stars I would. This dr shoved a camera up my nose told her my issue was my ear not the canal but the ear itself blames my issue on me being a smoker went for a second opinion and it's eczema at the opening of my ear. Horrible bedside matter shes rude abrupt and doesn't have the time to speak to you just rushed out the door like cattle being branded.

10 days ago i had surgery to remove a lump on my tonsil. I am 61 yrs old and I was never informed how bad my recovery would be. She is not human. Nothing but a cold machine. She actually refused to give me a follow-up appt. Told me to keep taking my pain meds and soft food and I would be fine. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR.

I can't say enough about Dr. Wong. In my experience, her bedside manner was impeccable. Her appointments always started on time (if not early). She was very thorough in my assessment, answering any questions or addressing any concerns that I had. I wouldn't hesitate to reccomend her.

Kate Hankins

incredibly unprofessional. harmful bedside manner and complete lack of knowledge surrounding neurodivergent needs. She is rude, ignorant and shows a severe lack of care for her patients mental wellbeing. She should be forced to take sensitivity training. When I brought my complaints to her about our appointment, she spoke over me, raised her voice, and refused to listen to my concerns without interrupting me even when I asked her politely to let me speak. She said "I knew your child was going to be hard to handle". a complete lack of compassion and empathy for people with disabilities. A formal complaint has been made against her. I highly suggest others do the same to prevent this from happening to other families.

Mitchell S

Was referred to Dr Dana Wong due to having persistent headaches due to inflamed sinuses. Waited 5 months to speak to her and got nothing more than “I can’t help you, I’m not a headache doctor” and was told to follow up with my family doctor. If you care about your health and figuring out treatment I would ask to be referred to a different specialist.

Jackie R

Dr. Wong was on time and treated me professionally throughout the entire appointment. She asked relevant questions and offered her diagnosis and treatment. I've read a number of negative reviews about Dr. Wong and I was prepared to go in to someone who was as described. I got none of that whatsoever. She is a kind, efficient and professional specialist.
