I have been going here for four years and it is hard to hold back on how incredible Dr. Tardif is. I have never felt so respected and taken care of. Going to the doctor prior, for me, gave me incredible anxiety. But Dr. Tardif makes you feel incredibly comfortable and also brings a lightness to the whole experience. Cannot recommend enough going to see her and the other doctors at this clinic!

The doctor was cold with me, no social skills whatsoever. I sat down he didn't even let me ask all my questions and express my concern, he had already wrote a prescription. Then he tried to sell me the WAY OVER THE TOP expensive laser treatment that they offer, he left and ask the nurse to come and talk to me about that. It literaly felt like he wanted to sell the laser treatment and leave. So I ended up taking what he prescribed to me for more than 2 months NO RESULT whatsoever and terrible side effect, tried to contact them so they coul reassure me about that , they told me to ask a pharmacist , you can't even have a free check up with the doctor when what he prescribed didn't work. They literally just want money in my opinion , first and LAST time going to this place !

Le service n’est pas couvert par la RAMQ versus au public, mais entre perdre plusieurs heures en CLSC/hôpital ou payer un petit frais pour passer en priorité, la question ne se pose même pas! 10 sur 10, je saurai où aller à nouveau si je dois consulter pour autre chose!

Where do I begin....From the (Specialist/ Doctors) that are supposedly there to care for your health and well being yet refuse to re-prescribe you a medicine through the phone because they would like to charge you 150 $ for an appointment that will last ( AND I HAVE TIMED IT ONCE BEFORE: 1min: 37 seconds). To the completely incompetent secretaries that told me 3 times now, on 3 different occasions with 2 different doctors, the wrong times for my appointments! Furthermore, unbeknownst to I and a couple of customers who I had the pleasure of speaking to during wait times; they CHARGE YOU 75 $ for missing an appointment even if you cancel or it mention to them that you cannot possibly come to your appointment under short-notice because your job requires you available 24/7. ON TOP OF THAT, you get ATTITUDE from the secretary's as you try to explain to them why you can't get to the appointment! She RUDELY like a 5 year old infant immediately stated and I quote: " I have no time for your complaints, you can come by to the office but it won't change a thing". THE SAME secretary mind you that told me my appointment was at wrong times! She even has the audacity to tell me I signed up for this? Did I sign up to get robbed by money-mongering doctors? At last!!! My experience with the Family Doctor/ STD specialist was actually alright. She was kind, and informed me of my issues, i'm not sure it was worth 390 dollars! But something I am sure of is that I will never be returning to this SPECIALIST because i was unable to tell them my appointment had to be changed on time, thus they force me to pay a fee of 75$ ! 75 $! Because I have a job to attend too and didn't call them "promptly" enough! which is a hard thing to do when every time you call you get put on hold. ONE OF THE WORST PLACES FOR MEDICINE OUT THERE. I HOPE IT ROTS SLOWLY.

Polite staff, low waiting time, however I'm concerned about the competence and knowledge of the MD's. The one I consulted was unable to recognize a typical case of shingles, which made me waste 48 hours. Given the fact that treatment must be started withing 72 hours of the first symptoms, this is a serious mistake they made. I even tried to get in touch with the MD to tell her about her mistake, so that she does not do it again with another patient, but was only offered to book another PAID appointment just to explain her that she made me pay for her incompetence during her first appointment. Therefore I can absolutely not recommend UnionMD to anyone. Not worth paying 150$ for erroneous diagnoses and prescription that may put your life at risk. Incompetence, greed and poor ethics.

Went for a dermatology consultation with Dr. Doumit for my husband. Terrible experience. He looked at him for less than 3 minutes. We reported multiple issues. Instead of addressing all of them together, he said we will do one-by-one. Each additional visit costs 150$. Excellent Strategy for making money. Then when we asked the receptionist to get the premium package so that the health assessment, dermatology consultation and additional visits are covered, she did not know anything about it and kept saying they only have family package. I showed her the package details on unionmd’s website, she still did not allow us to buy the package instead forced us to pay 225$ first time consultation charges and then we must pay extra for each subsequent visit. Do not go there unless you have extra money to waste. Doctor wanted to force us to visit multiple times by not addressing all issues at once and receptionist did not allow us to take the premium package. Me and my husband are not going back there ever.

I am from out of province for a three month work assignment and found myself needing to see a physician. Suffice it to say doing so proved to be a complicated endeavour. That is until I received the recommendation to visit UnionMD. I called the office Saturday afternoon and was able to book my appointment easily and in English (my French is horrendous) for Monday morning at 8:30am. I was unable to arrive the requisite 15 minutes early for my appointment to complete the registration process as I got hopelessly lost in the underground area of Place Ville Marie trying to find my way from the bus station but that is another story. Rather than giving me a difficult time or refusing me service (which I was very grateful for) they ushered me right in to see Dr. Lyne Tardif, who I found to be professional, concise and compassionate. I received a consulation, test, and diagnosis, within half and hour, more or less and I couldn't have been more thrilled. I would definitely recommend this clinic and would absolutely use it again (though, obviously I hope I don't have to).

The only reason I'm giving this clinic a 1-star rating is because they were quick to give me my appointments. Apart from that I will never go back. Here are my reasons: 1. After missing a phone call to take my appointment with a nurse, I called back and left a message. One whole week went by without any call back. I had to call again myself to take my appointment. No one seemed to know what was happening when I asked. 2. The day of my appointment (I was there for a skin allergy test), the nurse seemed in a bad mood from the beginning. I am very nervous with needles and I told her and asked her if I could listen to music on my phone to help calm me down. She flat out refused. Once the nurse started the procedure I started crying (yes I really am scared on needles) and feeling faint. The nurse's way of seeing if I was ok was to simply ask me if I was ok three times. She then had me lay down and she basically threw an ice pack onto my chest. There was no empathy from her, no reassuring words, nothing. She continued to do something on her computer (back facing me) and simply asked me really loud if I was ok three times while I was still laying down. 3. After that experience I called to complain but the receptionist said I had to send an email to the accounting department (which I didn't do). A few days later someone called me to ask why I had cancelled my following doctor's appointment and about my experience but I was busy and asked that she call me back. She never did. No follow-up. 4. One week later I called to get my results. It was literally a 1-page document (I saw since the nurse had me bring it to the receptionist). The receptionist I spoke to said it would take 30 days!!!! 30 days for 1 document??!! I am still waiting for it....

I visited this clinic with my 5years old daughter, Dr. Doumit adorable and super nice, however the nurse was not kid friendly to apply the medication on my daughter's skin. I dunno why The receptionist has to be super rude, they scheduled me the appointment 9:45 instead of 9:15 and with a kid waiting...its so frustrating In addition the customer service are very reliable and sent me back a copy of the receipt(i lost the original) one month later following to my request.

When I called initially to make an appointment for STD screening, the receptionist said the price included a consult with a doctor. I asked if I was able to ask about birth control during the consult and the receptionist said yes. Fast forward to my appointment, the doctor says that she only has me booked for 15 mins and that STD screening consults do not include birth control advice and she was unable to offer any information. Over the phone the receptionist also failed to tell me that I could not pee 2 hours prior to the consult. When making payment the day of, the receptionist was incorrectly wearing his mask (kept slipping below his nose) and was laughing while he took a personal call. My 3 stars go to the administration that should hire more staff to absorb the huge demand they have lately, other than that they are totally 5 stars. I've been trying to get in touch with them for 14 days, I sent an email, left voicemails, called several times, sometimes waiting on the line for more than 20 minutes and they hang up on me, some days busy lines all day, sometimes after 30 minutes I gave up on waiting in line. Sophie is one of the receptionists, who handles around 2500 calls a day, among other tasks. She explained to me why I didn't have answers and couldn't get in touch with them, and why the delay in my demand. She apologized on behalf of the team. She also asked her supervisor to take action to try to speed up my demand. I found it superhuman and admirable these days that no one cares, she is a contrast, even though she is super busy. 5 stars to her My family doctor Tardif, is simply the best doctor I've ever had. The Good: You can get an appointment here much faster than in the public sector. The Bad: Extremely difficult to get a hold of anyone, they rarely return phone calls, they don't seem to do any followups with patients, and seem to be extremely rushed. The Average: Feels like you're in a public clinic. Waiting room is super crowded and the doctor was 1hr late for my appointment. Treatment seems to be competent, but it does feel like they are trying to squeeze as many $225 consultations into as little time as possible. I came to this clinc to see the dermatologist to have 2 biopsies performed on two skin lesions. Procedue was smooth, fast, and efficient. But then I'm told that *I* need to call them in 3 weeks to get the results of the biopsie. Shouldn't *THEY* call *ME* when they get the results??? After 5-6 weeks, I call them to try and get the results. It takes several days to finally talk with a nurse who says she can't send me the results until I book a phone consultation with the Doctor. So I book the phone consultation, which ends up just being the doctor reading me the lab results and listing me the prices of the followup procedure. They shouldn't charge for this step -- it's a little bit ridiculous. In any case, I ended up going to Clinic Élie instead for the procedure, which was much cheaper, more pleasant, quicker, free parking, and just an overall joyful experience. :)

And I spent 225 DOLLARS(!!) for ...wait for it..CETAPHIL!!! LOL. No care or concern whatsoever. It genuinely felt like he had to make 4000 dollars a day and meet 20 more patients. Didn't ask my history, went with what I thought could be a problem. When I asked him what the causes could be, he shrugged! If spending time on a patient was that big a problem, they shouldn't be in the healing business! Please save your money. Don't even give it a second thought. This is daylight robbery. Sorry!

I had a really bad experience. I went to see a dermatologist Joseph at the Union MD on Jean Talon in emergency cuz I had a wartz that didn't go away. I told him and the nurse about multiple times and ways I tried to rid of it. He barely listened and didn't pay attention to my plights. I was telling him I tried all the over the counter remedies and it didn't work. Then he offered to get rid of it with laser surgery. It was over 500$ and again he did a horrible job. Not only the wartz didn't go away but he scared and burned the tissues around it. Now, my wartz got bigger and around it there is a big scar. . After a long waiting I finally had an appointement with my family doctor and he thinks there is a slight chance of being actually a cancer tissues and gave me a paper to go see another dermatologist. . Really disappointed by the service despite the good reviews and not being takeen seriously when I said I tried multiple things and I was worried being something else.

I went for an Patch test to detect allergies. Personally, I didn't like that the nurse had the mask in her neck the two times I visited the clinic. As well as the receptionist girls were not wearing any face protection. Even if the number of cases of Covid-19 has decreased there is no reason to low standards and much less in a clinic where people expect to receive health care. I don't recommend coming here.

Price of the consultation $ 225 to see the dermatologist, Dr. Joseph Doumit. I told him about my pimples on his face, he looked quickly, he told me; no problem, we'll fix it with the laser. I was therefore applied a cream to the skin of my face to put it to sleep, I waited alone, sitting in the treatment room for 45 minutes / 1 hour. Thereafter, the laser treatment to last less than 10 minutes. Not that painful. Not being that chatty with me, I asked him a lot of questions regarding the treatment, he seemed irritated with my many questions, * at the price I am paying *, I think I can afford to ask questions and I want answers. Par la suite, le traitement au laser à durer moins de 10 minutes. Pas si douloureux que ça. N'étant pas si bavard que ça avec moi, je lui ai posé beaucoup de questions concernant le traitement, il semblait irrité dû à mes nombreuses questions, *au prix que je paie*, je pense que je peux me permettre de poser des questions et je veux des réponses. Je sentais qu'il était pressé pour s'occuper des autres patients dans la salle d'attente. Au niveau des coûts des procédures de traitement au laser, étant donné que j'en avais quand même plusieurs, on m'a fait, soit disant un package deal pour 1000$. I am 35 years old and I have hormonal acne. I had a first online appointment with doctor Doumit. He prescribed me some antibiotics and some basic skin care routine. It didn’t work. So I had a second appointment and he told me that I need accutane. During the second appointment in the clinic, he was very kind explained everything about accutane, he also injected some anti-inflammatory in my face because I was pretty bad and it was so painful. ???? he also gave me a blood test prescription, now I am waiting a third appointment to check the results of my blood test and probably start accutane. I liked the doctor was very honest, professional, and he didn’t try to sell me expensive creams. Yeah it’s private doctor so is expensive an appointment with him , yeah in the first appointment he didn’t solve my acne. But it’s like that, with the skin everyone is different. We can’t expect a miracle result in one appointment and if you aren’t ready to invest just wait for the public dermatologist ????????‍♀️ Update: to start my treatment with dr Doumit it was by far the best decision ever! I had the feeling of being a ticket with a wallet. Basically, i wait 20mn to 30mn after the schedule of my appointment and got maximum 7mn of consultation. I consulted for itchy scalp at first. Dr.Doumit barely examine my scalp and put me on stieprox + Cortisone lotion. Three weeks later i started losing hair like crazy and now 7 month later, im still losing hair. The dermatologist never proposed me hair examination nor blood test in the 4 appointments, he just felt like a shampoo seller. Now that i'm losing my hair, they proposed me minoxidil which is a terrible lifetime treatment that you can google on internet. My point is that there is no detailed hair analysis at all here, there is just business. Basically, the derm gave me all the bad treatment that i later google on internet, but for a lot of money. There might be good doctor in this clinic, but definitely not dermatologist When i pay 250$ for the first visit then 150$ for the followings, i expect a high quality service and time to ask question! My first visit was under 8mn, the following were 5mn. When you enter the room, all the drugs that he's gonna sell to you are already on the computer screen while he is still with another patient. So all the drugs that he's gonna sell to you are already planed, no matter what you say on the development of you problem. Is that really 2017 medicine?

The reception can be rude ,-especially on the phone-. The owners should have a talk with them especially since this is a private clinic. Not even public healthcare receptionists are that rude. I had to write a review as this keeps getting worse. The last thing paying patients need is being antagonized even before showing up. The wait for appointments can be long when you show up. Expect an hour waiting time when you show up almost every time. Some of the procedures are ridiculously expensive -I compared prices with the hospitals -and not covered by health insurance. For the money you spend and the reasons above, you're better going elsewhere.

Having quick and easy access, perhaps even same day, with very short wait makes all the difference in the world to a patient. The way you are treated by the UnionMD staff also makes a big difference. Imagine clinic staff (ex: Carole and Nina) who are actually happy to work there and customer service oriented. As for Dr. Doumit, he has certainly lived up to his reputation of being TOP in his field. He has a very friendly unrushed manner, a genuine desire and the skill to help his patients. After consulting with him and following his efficacious plan of treatment (medication and lasers later), what a definitive improvement! When I show people my "Before" picture and my face now, they are baffled by the successful results! All thanks to him and his level of skill diagnosis. Respectful of my concerns and choices, he never forced upon me a treatment I felt uncomfortable. A worthwhile journey and I fully trust his expertise - highly recommend him. Never before have I experience such bad service from a specialist. My appointment with Dr Doumit lasted 5 minutes maximum. He barely looked at my issue, couldnt provide any details neither on his diagnostic nor on his prescription. When I asked for more information he literally ran away from his own office. He took care of everything that needed to be done right at my first visit instead of having me come back. All of the staff at the office was kind and welcoming. This is by far the WORST place ever. Although I do have to say that the receptionist for the Allergy/immunology department was an absolute sweetheart but the doctor Caroline Weisser was the worst and most unhelpful doctor I've ever dealt with. She sounds and speaks like an airhead and was so uninterested about the issues for my 8 month old son. He has severe allergies, and she refused to get him tested or give me any type of guidance. Our pediatrician ended up testing his total IGE which was incredibly high. My son had a severe allergic reaction to me just touching him after touching poppy seeds. I called her office 3 times to relay the message and no one ever called me back. My pediatrician luckily got me an appointment with another allergist who immediately gave us a referral to get tested at the Montreal children's and also prescribed 2 epipens just in case. Don't waste your time with her. She's more interested in emailing her colleagues while on the phone with you than actually giving any kind of constructive advice or guidance !

A few months ago, after extensive research and having no hope in finding a solution to my severe HYPERHIDROSIS, I finally came across Dr. Joseph Doumit. I've been suffering with this condition in both my hands and feet from birth and it had reached a point where its severity was affecting the quality of my life, especially during summer. Dr. Doumit being the only cosmetic dermatologist in Montreal who does the Botox injections for both the hands and feet and not just for underarms, I decided to give this treatment a go, considering I had tried multiple antiperspirant creams/gels such as Hydrosol & Drysol without any luck of improvement. It has been a month and a half into the Botox treatment now and WHAT A LIFE CHANGING PROCEDURE!!! I forgot what it means to have sweaty hands!!! For those who suffer with severe hyperhidrosis, I encourage you to please consult Dr. Doumit and give it a try. It's not a permanent fix, but indeed worth redoing as it is said to last between 4-6 months. The aftermath involves slight bruising in the injected areas and muscle weakness, however, only temporary, therefore nothing to be afraid of. Worth every penny! I feel like a new person. I am more confident, happy, excited about life and eager to use my hands. Dr. Doumit, thank you so much for your kind approach, your patience and your expertise in the medical field. Don't bother coming here with skin problems because it's a complete waste of time. I was looking for a metal allergy patch test since I've always had reactions to metals. My doctor referred me here because they had "quick appointment scheduling". I called explaining what I needed and was told to email them, but no response. I called again a week later and was told a nurse would get in touch with me. 10 days later still no response, so I called again and was told I would need a preliminary consultation despite my referral ($250), then the test ($450), and then another consultation to see my results ($195). I needed MOHS surgery on my nose for basal cell carcinoma, diagnosed with a biopsy by my family doctor in Ottawa. Wait time to have a first appt with a dermatologist in Ottawa was 8-10 months. In total 4 trips to Montreal, for first meeting, surgery, to remove stitches, and follow up. Total was $3000. Very worth it. Would have gotten worse and caused worry to wait for treatment in Ottawa and with Covid it could have been years. The plastic surgeon who closed the site after removal was amazing, Dr. Coeignet, as was the dermatologist Dr. Doumit. It was a bigger deal than I anticipated so I’m really glad I went with this amazing team. Sometimes it was hard to get through on the phone. Communication could improve. Very happy with result and highly recommend.

My wife had serious itching problem in her leg, she used to cry full night due to pain and itching so I took appointment with dr. Joseph Dourmit at this clinic, first time I paid $250 and everything was ok I had to wait 30 to 40 mins and he prescribed some cream and tablets for 3 weeks, but this treatment only worked for 2 week and she started same itching again so we went second time, this time I had to wait for 1.5 hour and paid $150 again and now doctor even did not want to listen what we are explaining, he keep on asking do we have any other question and then when we asked, he was kind of ignoring everything so again we came back with a new cream and same tablets. Which didnt work at all so we called the clinic and got 3rd appointment, this time I had my daughter with me and again I had to wait for 1.5 hour and my daughter started crying due to pain in her ear, finally they announce my name but once I was in examination room there was no doctor and I had to wait for 30 more minutes in the room itself and my daughter was really in pain, I told nurse and reception and no one cared. Finally doctor came and again he had same answer to all our question. He didnt even examine the skin and see the leg properly, gave same cream and tablet and asked to visit 4th time, he didnt even asked why a 4 year child is crying badly in that room, so inhuman. In my mind I already gave up on same time to never visit him again. He never went beyond Eczima or Fungal infection which was not the case at all. Luckily I got another doctor and now doing good by God's grace.

She makes me sign the contract beforehand on the computer with a mouse that all the patients touch and which is not disinfected as and when: myself, the doctor and the nurse touched it in the within 30 minutes. Moreover, when I entered the clinic, no one asked me the usual questions about the Covid. The nursing staff wore a mask, but I found the hygiene measures to be poor. An hour later, the dermatologist finally enters the consultation room to make the incision. I don't see him washing his hands, he puts on gloves and starts to fall asleep locally with the syringe. For the first lesion, he took the trouble to count to 3 very quickly before sticking the syringe into my scalp. For the second, he just planted the syringe. I jumped up. I thought he had started cutting without falling asleep! He just wanted to go fast. Once the operation is finished, the nurse comes back to the consultation room and tells me that to clean up, I can put hydrogen peroxide on the points !! Peroxide on the scalp! Finally, she gives me the basic post-operation instruction sheet. Once back home, the shock passed, I immediately called the clinic to cancel my follow-up appointment. I didn't want to set foot there anymore. I preferred to make an appointment with a nurse in a pharmacy to remove the stitches. (Original) J'ai pris RDV à la clinique pour des excision de lésions. Ce n'était pas la première fois que j'y allais pour les mêmes raisons. En un an, les prix ont grandement augmenté. J'ai dit au dermatologue que je pensais retiré 3 lésions dépendamment du prix. L'infirmière me revient avec une facture pour 3 lésions. J'entends le prix ( + de 1800$). Je lui demande de refaire la facture pour 2 lésions et lui demande le prix par lésion. L'infirmière lève les yeux au ciel et me demande d'aller payer la facture avant l'opération ! Elle me fait signer le contrat au préalable sur l'ordinateur avec une souris que tous les patients touchent et qui n'est pas désinfectée au fur et à mesure : moi-même, le médecin et l'infirmière l'avons touchée en l'espace de 30 minutes. D'ailleurs en rentrant dans la clinique, personne ne m'a posé les questions usuelles par rapport à la Covid. Le personnel soignant portait un masque, mais j'ai trouvé que les mesures d'hygiène laissaient à désirer. Une heure plus tard, le dermatologue, entre enfin dans la salle de consultation pour effectuer l'incision. Je ne le vois pas se laver les mains, il enfile des gants et commence à m'endormir localement avec la seringue. Pour la première lésion, il a pris la peine de compter jusqu'à 3 très vite avant de me planter la seringue dans le cuire chevelu. Pour la 2ème, il a juste planté la seringue. J'ai bondi. Je pensais qu'il avait commencé à couper sans endormir ! Il voulait juste aller vite. Une fois l'opération finie, l'infirmière revient dans la salle de consultation et me dit que pour nettoyer, je peux mettre du peroxyde d'hydrohgène sur les points !! Du peroxyde sur le cuire chevelu ! Enfin, elle me remet la fiche de consignes de base post-opération. Une fois rentrée chez moi, le choc passé, j'ai tout de suite appelé la clinique pour annuler mon RDV de suivi. Je ne voulais plus mettre les pieds là-bas. J'ai préféré prendre RDV avec une infirmière dans une pharmacie pour retirer les points de suture.

The receptionist was friendly, helpful and made my first visit to the office (fill out all the paperwork, insurance, payment) as easy and bearable as possible. I was led to the exam room and a physician's took all my information regarding my reason for the visit. Like the receptionist, she was efficient, friendly and welcoming. And last but not least Dr. Selfani one of the doctors in Union MD who took time to examine me, ask pertinent questions and discuss my treatment in detail without ever rushing me out the door. He is a true professional, who seems to care about his patients, in a skillful, attentive and warm manner. I left, with a thorough examination and a detailed treatment plan ( which was even written down for me). I can honestly recommend Union MD.

And then I fell on this clinic, Dr Soudry accepted to see me during his lunch brake because I was such in pain. I was so scared of the procedure since I couldn't event touch my toe. He explained me everything, the problem, how it happens and the causes. In less then 5 minutes, he did my surgery and put me back on my feet. Im so gratefull and recommend him to everyoneeeeee.
