Came in at 2pm on Saturday and they told me that they are not taking any patients ....they close at 5pm and they barely had any patients.
I wait 2 hours to see a doctor because i have a swollen eyelid. When i get called in the room, i wait another 35 minutes, i didn’t mind it’s a clinic in downtown and they always have a lot of patients. What bothers me A LOT, is that when the doctor comes in, he doesn’t close the door behind him, separating with the staff room, he doesn’t even LOOK at me, asks me the reasons of my visit, i tell him i have a swollen eyelid, still doesn’t look at me, he just says that’s out of his field and that’s something an ophtalmologist should see. Then he tells me that they ophtalmologist clinic will call me, they will refer me to them. And he leaves, still didnt even look at me by the way. Additionally, this poor, unprofessional and insulting consultation lasted only 45 SECONDS. Not even a minute, he came in and left. I had questions, i was asking and he was walking away and all he kept saying is that the clinic will call me. I waited for almost 3 hours, for nothing, no diagnosis, no treatment, no prescription, no attention and NO RESPECT. The next day i went to another clinic, doctor looked at my eyelid properly and told me i have an infection and prescribed me an antibiotic. My visit lasted 30 minutes and my consultation had an adequate time. It’s been 2 months, since this incident, and may I add that i still haven’t received a call from an ophtalmologist, or any clinic as a matter of fact. This clinic just wants to usurp your medicare card money, doesn’t care about patients, waste of time. Worst doctor ever. Never returning.
Waiting time is generally long, at least 2-3 hours even if you get there at opening. Men restroom smells like a camping chemical toilet. Also, they seem to not know what happens with their own files. My tests results got delayed for 3 weeks once, despite being faced only a few days after I took them, and got lost another time. I had to call the test center for them to send them back. Also got a prescription with the wrong name on it, forcing me to pay for treatment, since my insurance would not cover. No traces in my file at all, so the doctor or someone else must have lost the page or something...

I've been going to this clinic since 2010 and they have treated me really well.
OUT OF PROVINCE WARNING! - They charge you $100 to see a Dr and say to your face directly you will be reimbursed by your province. In reality you will only be reimbursed around $45 dollars. They are OVERCHARGING knowing you will not be reimbursed the full amount. Shameful on their part for not even telling you. Also a 5 min Dr appointment $100! The Dr was good. No complaint on that. Just the clinic.
Worst service ever they were super rude and unprofessional didn’t feel welcomed at all. Dr Lachance was super disrespectful.
I have to give 1 star because there was no option for no star. Don't ever visit this hospital. They clam that the hospital opens at 8:00 but it's 09:25 right now but the doctors are late and reception don't have any idea when they will start taking the patients. Horrible service. We all come to see doctor because we have health issues and this kind of behaviour makes it even worse.

I have never been so angry in my life. Yes reception talk to you worse than dog who pooed on rug, and the after a 3.15 min wait, I was told basically theres nothing wrong with me, ok, Ive been having massive allergy attacks which have caused asthma which I have only had in the last few months, she offered me a chest xray and a ECG, but NO BLOODWORK, considering that I am suffering with several inflammatory problems! I said to her, I cant breath and your sending me away with nothing, I had to practically beg her to write me a prescription for an inhaler even though I have been diagnosed with asthma, and she refused to write my my other prescriptions. One saving grace there was a nice assistant who treated me like a human, but I didn't go there to make friends with the staff did I. Such a horrific experience. vile pigs!

Reception personnel is the worst part of this clinic. Arrogant, lazy and although they close at 8pm they won't register anyone from 6 (it also happened to me at 5.30, and the amount of people waiting was not even that large...). Unacceptable at any level. Is it so difficult to find medical secretaries on the market? Having said that, the experience with doctors varies. I recommend Samuel and Guy, not the rest I have experienced.

Dr LaChance was extremely rude... 1. He didn't believe me when I said I know I'm not pregnant. And told me since my period was late I could not get a lung xray, until I got a pregnancy test. After telling him this is a ridiculous assumption, I know I am not pregnant, he said well out of 100 women there's 1 that ends up actually being pregnant. Finally I tell him, I don't have sex... and he relents and gives me the form. 2. Rushed through the whole thing, extremely insensitive when asking me about suicidal tendencies, cutting, depression etc. 3. I did not feel comfortable opening up to him about my condition so i didn't get the treatment i needed. Even after paying $100. Do what you have to do, go there if you need a prescription filled or whatever, but don't expect good service. Distrustful, rushing and insensitive.

I lost my family doctor due to his retirement, I don’t have any family doctor, yesterday I needed the prescription for medication so I went through 811 and got a Appointment with this clinic with a doctor via phone. I was very well served, excellent service of customer service as well nurse and Doctor was amazing. I will recommend this clinic without any worries. Not to mention you I received a full blood test request by doctor. We don’t see very often this kind of effort .

I went there today because I needed a Doctor's Note for an exam I missed last Friday. I have Diagnosed General Anxiety Disorder and had trouble sleeping all of last week. The doctor told me that he cannot write a note for something that happened in the past. I looked it up online, and the rules state that doctors can write a formal verification that says that it is PROBABLE that this person had these symptoms. THAT WAS NOT WRITTEN.

I have been going to Metro Medic regularly since 2008. I actually drive two hours to Montreal to be seen at the clinic because I find the team to be fast, competent, and caring compared to most other doctor's offices in Quebec. The front desk staff, the nurses, and the doctors are all courteous and patient despite having to deal with some prickly, demanding, and difficult patients. The last time I visited, I only waited an hour and 45 minutes to be seen, and the doctor personally called me back with test results within a week. I recommend this clinic quite highly.
It's an SCAM center IMHO. Worst doctor ever. 4 hours waiting, they just forgot about me, then the doctor didn'n know how to analize a very simple vein that appeared temporarily in my feet, and told me to scratch it wit a pharmacy feet rock, that almost killed me. I had to go to another doctor. They just want the money from province medicard. A ship of fools.

This is the worst clinic in Montreal. You pay for the online service, then if the doctor couldn't figure it out they invite you to their clinic and they charge twice. If you ask for your medical report they also charge you. It is like a stealing machine.
Yet another terrible clinic in Montreal. Yet another Montreal medical scam. Waiting times prior to seeing a "doctor" are reasonable by Montreal standards ( 2 to 3 hours). You will actually be met by an MD STUDENT NOT a real MD. The actual consultation takes around an hour because the MD student spends 10 minutes asking you questions, walks out for 30 minutes, and then comes back with an actual MD to "validate" her diagnosis (actually: attempt to convince you that the student was not wrong). One MD personally requested to be my "family doctor" but refuses to see me again. Arrogant and unhelpful. The rest of the staff is either rude or almost impolite. The facility is not clean, which is bad for a clinic.

Think twice before you come here. 1. They are very very slow. 2. They horrendously underestimate how long the waits would take. 3. It's way too overcrowded here. 4. Some other walk-in clinics will put you at a specific time slot within the day, so that you don't have to wait all day at the clinic. This clinic refuses to do that.
Three hours of waiting time. After beign called to go to see the doctor I waited 20 minutes for the doctor to come to her office. Didn't let me explain all the symptoms I had. And after only 8 minutes with her that was it.
I had used this clinic for several years because it was a walk in without appointments and they are open on weekends. Happen to have had a fever for 5 days (from 100 to 102.7) and was unable to get out and about until today. I will admit that I checked the opening hours and not their public website. I trekked all the way on public transport and was out of breath arriving at the reception where I was told without any empathy at all that they no longer take walk ins and only appointments. And I was given a card for the government website where I'm supposed to enter my info to get an appointment which I tried and didn't work. If I could enter a negative star rating I would . You should not have uncaring people in healthcare, and there should at least be a sign on the door. But there wasn't.
The doctor that I saw there was completely incompetent, he wasn't even looking at me while talking to me. He prescribed me the wrong medication and I had to go to another clinic.

The slowest and most careless clinic I have been to. The doctors don't ask many questions or even do a physical exam, just x rays and expensive MRIs. Very high chance of misdiagnosis in my opinion as they did my friends knee who they sent home with a band aid but turned out by other doctors that needed surgery.
Had a great experience at Metro-Medic, went right when it opened on a Wednesday, and waited much less time than I thought considering I was a walk-in patient and it was quite busy. Only waited 30 min to see a nurse and another 2 hours for a doctor which was quite reasonable. Both were very kind and understanding, I saw Dr Liu and she was great. Would definitely go back and recommend to others. One thing to keep in mind is go very early in the morning, even before it says it opens (the clinic was open before 8am when I went) if you want to be seen that day for walk-in.
Just to see nurse, it takes 2-3 hours and they make you wait saying it won't be long. And after given time to see doctor, you have to wait again 2-3 hours. #myLastTwoWeekend here.

This is the second time that a doctor speakes with attitude and rudeness (Dr. Remer). He didn't let me talk, and was arguing about the paper I needed. He literally asked me not to come here anymore when I've been receiving the same paper from this clinic every year for the past 3 years. The other doctor that my husband has seen was also speaking with attitude and asked me to leave the room because he couldn't breath!! When my husband needed me beside him. To be fair, my past experiences were very good.
Bad service! The receptionist told me I can come in the afternoon and when I arrive at 2.30 she said too late! I never get the service like this before!
Doctors are very good except for the gynecologist Yemayel. Very impersonal service, looks like he doesn't want to work with women and he is not getting paid. Don't ever take un appointment with him. Very mean person. INTERNET can give you more information than him.

The receptionist and nurse were very kind and helpful. Doctor Lachance was aweful. Did not listen to me for a second, he raised his voice on me when I tried to explain my symptoms. Recently I got a call stating I had an appointment with this clinic with one of the doctors. I had no clue why they called me. I have not been to this clinic for 5+ years and I never made this appointment. I asked questions to their location, doctor's name and when the appointment was made. She seemed annoyed with my questions and brushed me off the phone. Worst part about the call was she refused to speak to me in English. I'm happy I no longer deal with this clinic.

I've been a client of this clinic since 2002, but will likely change to another place. It's not a CLSC, so you expect something more: better hours, better service, more convenience, etc. Lately I've found that few of those things are actually better (perhaps the hours?). The poor service I have seen lately makes it hardly worth it. The last bad experience was that I had bloods drawn (requiring an up-front payment, which you then claim on supplemental insurance plan for reimbursement). This normally isn't a problem for me. However, the cost for the private clinic tests last time was $425.00, and Metro-Medic only accepts Visa card (no MasterCard, no bank card, etc.). Of course, I didn't have Visa or enough cash, so I had to run to a bank machine to withdraw more cash, and before that, the nurse insisted I have correct change! For a private clinic, this attitude is wrong. The doctors never take you on time, even if you get the first appointment of the day. If I want mediocre service, I'll go to the CLSC.
I have never seen such incompetency in life, the secretaries are useless! they couldn't even send out a fax to the hospital in order for us to be able to get a scan! a FAX! it doesn't take week to do so! never have i ever had such a horrible service!

Unfriendly receptionist at the radiology department. I had questions to ask and she didn't even take the time to make sure if I received the info I needed and just hung up. Really irritated by that behavior.
Bunch of scammers, they made me pay 400$ the first time. They told me I have an infection so they ran tests to see where it comes from. I waited 4 days to get a response. they call me to tell me I have nothing while I still have symptoms for over two weeks now. They gave me no prescription. On the phone they tell me to go back there to talk to a doctor only to pay another 200$. It really surprises me how horrible the service is. An infection is serious and it should not be taken so lightly. At this point they just want your money.

I arrived there first thing Friday morning (December 21). The staff were extremely polite & friendly and I was seen by the Doctor 15 mins after I arrived and they were even open early! Thank you for your excellent service once again (not the first time I come here) and as someone who lives in Brossard.
Wish i could give them 0 star bcoz i had injured foot i called them , doctor saw me on video call and told me to go for x rays, i done my x rays and send them reports, but now my foot is better then before but they didn’t contacted me yet. Waste of time and money ????

Wait time is horrible. Came here at 4:30pm, got called in at 6:30pm but no-one is in the room. It's 7:15pm now and still haven't seen a doctor/nurse. Just don't come here. Also, the front desk staffs talk very loud, do they not know this is a clinic? Apparently not.

You can't get through to them, as the phone system is made to kick you off no matter what you do. Even if you leave a voicemail you will not get a call back. You will "miss" your appointment and will have to pay. Just stay away. Went for years because a doctor took me on as his patient. It used to be decent and nice.
Because I'm out of province, they ask me of 100 dollars(used to be 80) every time I visit, even if it's just to hear my result in a follow up appointment..after waiting for hours to see a doctor, it's like he can't wait to leave the room after half a minute.. he seemed very impatient when I have questions, his hand was literally on the door as he told me barely nothing about my conditions. Didn't feel reassured at all. Especially frustrating experience since I had to throw 100 dollars in for a one minute facetime with a doctor who couldn't wait to leave.

Ridiculous and unacceptable. They gave me an appointment and cancelled on it last minute with a promise to call and rebook the next day. After not hearing from anyone all morning, I called them and they'd completely forgotten about me. (Although I had to pay them just to take an appointment in the first place). Don't deal with these crooks.
As a clinic i loved their service. Relatively fast and respectful. The nurses are friendly. However, I am writing this review to comment on what Dr. in particular who works there. If you ever got an appointment with "Dr. Martin Lachance" CANCEL IT RIGHT AWAY. Here is my review about him on Rate my MD "Such a horrible Doctor! Ask if he is the one you will be seeing and if you got his name CANCEL right away. As everyone here is saying, he is such a disrespectful horrible unprofessional arrogant person! Horrible clinic. Not only is the entire process flawed with regards to the walk-in procedure (the always mix up who is next and it seems to be random chance to be called), the clinic any professionalism whatsoever. Don't make the mistake I made and avoid this place at all costs.

I wish I could leave a negative star. I went to my appointment but there was no doctor present! However, they didn’t even tell me that the doctor isn’t there and so after 4 hours of waiting they just sent me home without doing ANYTHING!!! They didn’t even give me a note! The worst service ever of Canada I saw today in medical field that even after waiting for 2 hours with a person with serious health they told us wait again for another 2 an half hour. Seriously, I found the worst medical system of whole world is in Canada. Shame on you.

Very friendly staff. The doctors are very good and they hear you out. I've been there thrice and they've always solved my problems. A Jean Coutu store is right next door for you to buy your medicine.
I see one doctor there who is very good. I can't speak on the doctors but there is one nurse there that is very rude and violated my patient rights. There are also a few excellent receptionists that are helpful, responsible and friendly but the ones that are not make it terrible for the good employees and the patients. It's a shame used to be a better clinic when it was below st Catherine

if i could give less than one star i would... doctor listened to my symptoms and gave me a random perscription, did not even do any physical checks, and laughed at my original concern. Having an instinct that something was still wrong after having a debilitating reaction to the prescribed medication, I went to a private clinic where they told me I had critical inflammation and needed to go ER. so unfortunate that people in Quebec who cant pay for private health care have to trust doctors who evidently don't care to listen or rightfully prescribe...

Canceled my appointments twice without any reason, never offered me to reschedule. The second time, I needed semi-urgent care and was told I would see a doctor the next day - they sent me an email the morning of the appointment stating it had (once again) been canceled. Don't even try getting help there, I don't think they care at all!

One of the worse walk ins I have ever been to and definitely the worse in a very long time. The receptionist are really unprofessional and rude. When the nurse asked what my concerns were she merely just them brushed off. She said yeah yeah just bring them up to the doctor when you see him and told me to come back 5 hours later. Sexual health concerns are some of the most intimately embarassing moments and for that we need caring and compassionate agents. Unfortunately my suffering partner has been there twice rejected for the same problem and denied the right to a test, sent away with the wrong medication for which there is a risk of greater infection. As well to tell someone they are not experiencing symptoms is contrary to the some long time basis health practices, relying on a patients experience. Where can we file formal complaints against this place? Someone please help.

Never go to this clinic, they are asking me 125$ for my doctor to sign a paper for my insurance without telling me first hand, only once the paper was filled. I've been with them for 4 years now and I had many incidents with them, but this is it, they are downright crooked!
Very friendly reception staff and waiting time is normal clean and neat place I took a chance as this place was open on weekends as well . Dr does check up in so hurry it’s not important for them to hear what exactly is problem and than just did xray and advise it should be fix on its own . Further test can be done if your pvt insurance covers . And than they will say you can bet xray if you want copy . Said on phone when you come to pick up they will say either order it now pay 25$ more we will give you. I would never go back to this place especially when it’s chronic issue with health
Very grateful this place is around. I called early this morning to book an appointment and was told to book through rendez vous sante quebec online, it was easy and quick. There was an appointment available within the next hour and other spots as well. I chose the spot I wanted and received a confirmation by email. When I arrived for my appointment I maybe waited 20 mins and was seen by the nurse and doctor within maybe 10 mins. My doctor was very friendly and gave me a prescription for my bronchitis. The receptionist wasn't very friendly but everything was run so efficiently. This will be my go-to spot for sick appointments, could not reach my own family doctor.
I understand that this is a busy, downtown clinic, and that doctors must make quick decisions to accommodate as many walk-in patients as possible. Unfortunately, the doctor that I have seen twice now in the last few years was very abrasive during my visits. This doctor would not let me describe my symptoms without talking over me and arguing with me. I felt very uncomfortable on both visits, as though I were wasting this doctor's time. This doctor misdiagnosed both times: (1) told me I had asthma when it turned out to be bronchitis, and (2) told me I had a bad cold -to go home and eat soup, and it turned out to be pneumonia. To me, this is a waste of time for everyone involved, and also put my personal health at risk. I won't be returning to this clinic in the future.

I knew I had a urinary track infection and the Dr didn't think that I had enough symptoms. I insisted that he check for it. When the results said I did have one, the Dr said he's happy he checked. Dude, you didn't want to check..I pushed it. Anyway it's close to home and waiting time is not bad. But be strong with the Dr because they have big egos.
I love this place. Other people may have negative reviews, but not me. The wait time is so much shorter than other clinics. I usually only have to wait an hr or two. I've been to other clinics where I had to wait 3 hrs to be seen. The last time I was here, I was in and out within an hr. I like the doctor that sees me, and they treat me well. I have only good things to say.
The receptionist are not answering the phones, and when they answer your call, they say there are no available doctors today. I do not recommend it especially if you have other options.

It is standard that your experience at a walk-in clinic won't be fun, that is universal and normal. You're surrounded by sick people in the waiting room and like anywhere else, there is a wait time. The good thing about this clinic is that the wait time is a lot shorter than most other clinics I've been to. Get there in the early morning and you will wait 1-2 hrs max. Also, Dr. Guy, one of the two main doctors that work there, is the best doctor I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. He's kind, sympathetic, knowledgeable, and most importantly, he knows what he's doing. He appointed himself to be my family doctor when I kept coming back to the clinic when I was terribly sick at 17 years old, and he caught on that I didn't have a doctor and then took me in like a stray dog and I am forever grateful. Do you know how hard it is to find a f**ing 'family' doctor in this city? VERY hard. I am grateful for this clinic. One of the best in the city I'd say.

It is literally impossible to get an appointment via telephone. When the receptionist picks up she says right away "one moment please" without letting the caller say a word, then she makes people wait forever. I called 4 times and all the same...awful service

2 stars because the front desk staff is absolutely amazing, they are professional & friendly. I used to have a Family doctor there but after my recent visit I had removed myself from his patient list. I was never able to get an appointment because he was a walk in doctor, after my recent visit of going to see him for a sore back. He quickly shrugged his shoulders and told me that if he prescribed me something it would be the same as taking Advil. I went to get a second opinion and turns out I have a pinched sciatic nerve, I was given 3 different medications and physiotherapy for 4 weeks. Not only was it insulting he had no interest in what I had to say I was genuinely in allot of pain, after waiting 3 hours and 45 minutes at the clinic I got brushed off and sent home with nothing. So if you are going here my suggestions are to be FIRM with the doctors because they don't care about you, and to arrive 1 hour before they open to register you should be out within an hour or 2.

None of the employees can clear say to me when will be my turn to go. Next week I came back to the Clinique to get my results, guess what. i was waiting there the next 7 hours for getting my results back. I will never come back again! The Clinique has to rearrange all the process starting from reservation and ending the giving the referrals to following doctors. They Have to know what they are doing and not just simply sitting there and spell people's names in order to see the doctors. The staff at the reception has to be changed and learned accordingly to the standards of the medical Service. They should know and be able perform their job on more than a high level.

This place is so much more organized than any other clinic downtown. I waited in another clinic for 4hrs and didn’t even get seen! This one have me an appointment and held up to their promise of the appointment. I didn’t wait long, the doctor was thorough and I tested this place twice. They were even faster about seeing my son the week before. They don’t make toddlers wait at all. Highly recommend this place.

First, they charged me $200 Canadian, as an American citizen, to see a doctor. That's not bad compared to American walk-in clinics. Before paying, I explained my plight to the woman at reception: I needed the doctor, or so I thought, to write a prescription so I could buy medication in Canada at radically reduced prices versus my American health plan (we are talking 1/7th the cost. They sell Epi Pens for $100Canadian, about $80American, for one example. Try getting that in the USA) she assured me that this was standard procedure. Having come in about 10AM, I was given a 4pm appointment. Well. I have never been treated so disrespectfully by an MD in my life. It's like the attitude of the era of Marcus Welby, MD, (the doctor knows best) has been boiled down and concentrated in one arrogant, dismissive twerp. He complained about how little money he made, and then dismissed me from his presence. With no prescription. It turns out that the law in Quebec says that it is illegal for the pharmacist NOT to dispense medication necessary for life (so one told me),and so you can buy things like Epi Pens without one. You won't pay the Canadian health plan discounted rate, but you'll still get the medication for much less. In sum: if you're planning to acquire Canadian prescriptions on a trip to Montreal, AVOID THIS CLINIC. I would fear to have to depend on them in a crisis.
Some of the front desk workers have bad attitude, doctors are always busy and impatient. Everytime you go there, prepare to wait at least four hours.
Went there today, receptionists and nurses are usually nice and professional, is a clean environment which is important. Service is really slow I’m always aware that it would take 2 or 3 hours to see a doctor but this time I saw a doctor after 8 hours, the doctor made questions as part of the protocol, he looked to be in a rush and I don’t blame him but I was almost crying because of my throat was really sore and the pain was terrible which I had from 4 days before, he said he can not do anything, he said “get Advil and if it get very painful get Tylenol” I asked the young doctor if it was it he said yes. Like no advices, no food recommendation, no medicinesat all for me to buy or transcription. paid 200 dollars to wait 8 hours and not get anything
Everything is super bad. Let patients to suffer this bad experience I cannot believe. The receptionists are kind of rude. See from google maps they open at 8am, so I arrived at 7;45am. And after wait for 40 minutes I was called by nurse. I tried to tell her all my symptom, she seemed to record it. Then let me wait another 1 hour to see the doctors. Staying in the waiting room about another 20 minutes, the doctor showed up. Just talk with me less than 2 minutes, he left for no reason. And I can hear he was joking with the nurses. Waiting another 20 minutes he showed up again, about talking with me around 1 minutes(he kept looking st his phone)he wanted to leave. I cannot wait to stop him and ask him how about my another symptoms? He was super impatient and questioned me why I didn’t tell them at first beginning which I have already told the nurse before and he didn’t give me any time or chance to stay and listen to me. Really hate this clinic!! More stories follows. As I said I went to see the doctor, and he checked my urine saying everything was fine. Now I find I have high portion and hidden blood in my urine which current nephrologist says I might have this issue since the first time I got sick and blood in my urine. If this clinic’s doctor could found it at that time, I won’t be this worse now. Really disappointed and angry about this irresponsible doctor!!! He should be revoked his license!!
Waiting time is too long there but the doctor was good and helpful .we went to the clinic in the morning and got appointment for 4.30 and we went back at 4.15 and waited for more than an hour to see the doctor..it was so disappointing.

had a "medical emergency" appointment through the government health website and was able to address only one of the issues I came with, the "medical emergency" appointments are for pain related stuff. Complain of pain and you should be ok! For other stuff they will send you to your family doctor, whereever this mysterious creature lives. The wait was 20 minutes and the total wait and appointment time took less than an hour. I thought the clinic was very efficient for what they were designed for and the volume that they go through.
This clinic looked fine. Wait times were decent. But the doctor was absolutely terrible. He was dressed more like a janitor. Didn't provide much information other than "go to the hospital, can't help you with that"
My experience was great! Dr. Mauricio Assumpcao is not only an excellent doctor, but also a wonderful human being. The staff is friendly and respectful. I highly recommend this clinic.

Can't remember the name of the doctor but he was the most apathetic doctor iv ever meet. I went to the clinic after being told by a nurse from 811 to go see a doctor in a walk-in for an ingrown toenail. I knew full well he wouldn't be able to do anything here and there. But the condescending attitude he had towards me wasn't necessary. If your life is so shity that you have to take out your apathy on your patients, maybe change professions.

I had the misfortune of seeing Dr. Lachance and there were several problems with the visit. First of all he seemed in a hurry and not all that interested in my symptoms. Secondly, he sent me for an X-ray and suspected bronchitis. Now the current standard of care for treatment of bronchitis is a cough suppressant since antibiotics are not usually effective. I asked for the antitussive I had received the previous week by another doctor (codeine) and fe made it seem like my request was drug seeking and treated me very poorly. He even told me he didn't believe me that I was not taking other medication that the ones I listed. He really wanted me an a broad spectrum antibiotic (the kind that you don't want to prescribe often since it makes bacteria antibiotic resistant). After the x-ray, there was no discussions of the pros and cons as well as other possible treatments. This is completely unacceptable and malpractice. Patients need to be informed. Thirdly, I needed a note from him that I had been seen by a doctor and so he gives me a note that says I will be better in 2 days. The problem with this is that when I asked him what the medical reasoning behind 2 days was, he said he didn't know. It would be a hassle to have to come back and see him in 2 days, I was quite sick today and walked the distance of the clinic to my home 3 times. I said that since he didn't know, I asked him to simply write the note that attested to the fact that he had seem me in the clinic that day and with clinical observations he made but without mentioning a date where I would be better since he didn't know. He told me that this is the policy at this clinic. In summary, not only did he fail to seek things like "informed constent" or explain alternative treatments, he also prescribed me something that the pharmacist said (and canadian website for medical standards) was inappropriate for my condition. He was rude, rushed, and quite frankly very thick in the head. I recommend staying away from this Dr. Lachance if you can.

Was visiting Montreal from the UK, ran out of Metformin (a routine type 2 diabetes medication), they were on a list by a pharmacist gave me, as it seems in Canada they've do not have the discretionary powers the UK equivalents do. Was able to make an appointment for a few hours later, had to pay C$200, but unlike other walk-in clinics they've the facilities for card payment. Reception staff and nurse are very pleasant, doctor was ok, most the easiest C$200 they ever made.
Just awful in terms of listening to patients. Today I showed up with what I knew was Strep Throat because it is recurring and I've experienced the exact same painful symptoms at least ten times now. Doctor wouldn't hear me out and took a useless Strep test (this involves swabbing the back of your throat). When the results came inconclusive all the doctor said was, "take some advil or something." So I went to Clinic Gare Central and told them the same thing and lo and behold.. Strep Throat! All thw doctor had to do was shine a light in my throat and he knew instantly what it was. Got my Anti-Biotic prescription and was on my way. Please.. Do yourself a favor.. If you are downtown.. Do NOT choose this clinic.

I have been told to come to the clinic at 8 in the morning when it opens in order to avoid long waiting times. That being said I waited 3 hours in order to see a doctor. No appointment possible. I don’t know if this is how the healthcare system works in Canada but that is just a shame.

Awful wait time! I had a virtual visit scheduled at 1:20, and here I am alone at the virtual room after 45 minutes! I called the clinic, couldn't get through. They sent me 3 emails and 1 call to confirm the visit and their doctor hasn't showed up yet. This is the worst experience ever. I had virtual meetings with other 2 different clinics very nice experience.

Very fast and efficient. I went early in the morning as a walk in patient. I saw the nurse after 30 minutes then was given an appointment to see the doctor at 3:10. I came back at 2:50 and saw the doctor at 3:15. He was quick and precise. I ended up doing a minor procedure and it went smoothly. Recommend.

I have ADHD and have adderall prescription, They first charged me 140 and after keeping me to wait for 40 minutes (I had an appointment already) the doctor told me he can not renew my prescription unless it is prescribed by a psychiatrist. Giving the clinic 2 stars instead of 1 because the doctor was pretty good. I tested positive for a strep throat infection on Friday. I immediately called the clinic so I could schedule to see the doctor for a prescription. The clinic tells me the doctor won’t be in till the following Wednesday. So I tell the secretary: umm so I’m contagious plus I can get complications from the infection. And you’re telling me I have to wait? She says there’s nothing else she could do. I asked: can’t you just schedule me with another doctor ? She said: no we can’t do that - your doctor ordered the throat swab and only your doctor can treat you. So I asked: what should I do? She said : I don’t know I’m just a secretary I asked: what would you do if you were me ? She said: I don’t know, I guess go to the ER? Seriously???? Fortunately , I went to another clinic right after and I showed the new doctor my test result and he immediately prescribed the antibiotics. He said it was very unprofessional of the clinic to ask me to wait 5 days when I had clearly tested positive for strep . Another story: the same doctor I saw for my step had told me to schedule an in person appointment with him the following Wednesday for him to examine a cyst on my lip. I call the clinic on Tuesday, telling them that the doctor asked to see me in person. The clinic tells me they can’t schedule an in-person appointment unless the doctor himself instructs them to. Clearly, there clinic suffers from poor management and communication. How can the doctors be unaware of the protocols for seeing patients in person ? How can the clinics hide this information from doctors? As a patient who doesn’t have access to his doctors contact information, how do I tell my doctor : please tell the clinic that you would like to see me in person because they will only listen to you. Healthcare in this country is indeed a source of my anxiety.

DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's by far the worst one you can attend if you are feeling ill. They make you wait for more than 4hours because the doctors are late or not in yet. Complete lack of professionalism. People like these should not become doctors. An those in charge of inspecting places like these really need to go there and shut this place down. A person could be going through hell am not a single person cares enough. For your own sakes, avoid this place at all cost .

Worst medical experience of my life. This is my first Google review ever, but wanted to leave it to hopefully prevent anyone else going through the same thing. I will also be filing a complaint with the commissioner. Went to this clinic a few times - always long waiting times without appointment (3 hours minimum), but also WITH appointment I waited at least 1 hour. The dermatologist I saw was good and took his time, so I figured I would see their gynecologist as well. I should make it clear that I have been to multiple gynecologists in the past, and have had no problems with them. Instead of a pleasant GYN experience, I left the clinic sobbing and disgusted. The doctor (Dr. Lee S.) was cold, did not communicate with me at all throughout, didn't ask any questions, and did not inform me of anything before he inserted his fingers. I was given no warning, but suddenly felt him invading my cervix. I was there to have an IUD removed. No check-ins throughout as he did the same multiple times very rapidly and harshly, sometimes pressing on my abdomen. It was so forceful I was in pain, and tried to say it was hurting, but he did not ask or listen. After, the nurse told me the removal was done, to which the Gyno snapped back "NO, I did not do it yet!" - which means even SHE did not know what was happening. Apparently, he was doing a PAP spear and not removing the IUD without even discussing it with me. He then told me to set another appointment to have it removed and get a new one inserted, and walked out without saying anything else. I had planned on asking other questions about any hormonal complications of going directly from one Mirena to the other, but he just brushed me off. As soon as he left the room I began to sob, as I felt extremely violated. I went to reception to ask to see the other gynecologist and they refused, saying I could only see him because I had met with him first. I was crying so hard, and after trying to explain that I did not feel comfortable seeing him again to no avail, I was so overwhelmed that I started walking out. Luckily a friend of mine (who was accompanying me on the appointment, had been in the room, and was also horrified), stayed to argue with them as I waited in the foyer. The receptionist finally came out and gave me a copy of my original referral-saying I could try to contact another gynecologist, but since his name is on it, I have to go get another referral before I can see anyone else. By far (and I'm not being dramatic), one of the most horrible and uncomfortable experiences of my life. I will never go back here, and I am truly shocked at the awful service.

I would like to commend the front desk staff of this clinic and those admin staff who interact with the public/patients. Things are handled very professionally compared to other clinics I've been to in the area, which often have 'attitude', or get too personal with the patients, and are not firm enough. This is also one of the few clinics that has hours which extend past the standard 8 to 5 business hours that many other clinics have, and is even open on weekends. Wait times are very acceptable (for Canada/Quebec). The experience with the doctors can vary based on the doctor, but the interaction with checking in and waiting to be seen is very comfortable and stress-free, which I have not found at several other clinics. Despite the listed hours, sometimes around 3 p.m., the sign can go up saying "No more patients are accepted for today", so it's important to get there early in the day. Respect.

This was the only clinic that would see me cause I had an out of province health card. They charged me $100 for a telephone consult that yielded nothing. I contacted my province for a reimbursement, and they told me that I was grossly overcharged for my doctor's appointment. If you have any choice go somewhere else. I contacted the office trying to get the results of my medical tests, and they wouldn't give it to me unless I paid another $25 for a doctor's visit, which sounds like a scam to me.
Worst walk in clinic I’ve ever been to, the nurse has horrible communication skills, no respect chewing her food in front of all the patients before calling the names and giving so much attitude, no respect or professionalism what so ever, people that came before are not passed accordingly and i know it depends on the patients situation but there was no emergency with the person that came after us! Horribly managed clinic!
It's conveniently located right on corner of Guy and Sherbrooke. I've never waited more than 2 hours .. although it really depends on the specific day and when you arrive. I've heard they can be much busier. You'll usually see a nurse within the first 15 minutes or so who will ask you why you're there and take your pressure and anything else needed ..then if there are a lot of people ahead of you she could tell you it's ok for you to leave for an hour if you want to go shopping or eat, etc

The benefit of this clinic is that they take patients well into the afternoon, while a lot of other clinics run out of spots early in the day. However, the typical wait time can be 3-4 hours to see a doctor and it's a total lottery if you'll get someone that is both competent and caring---really is 50/50...some of their doctors are awful (this female asian doctor comes to mind) and some are competent enough Family Physicians (Dr. Charles Samuel comes to mind).
You need to wait at least 3-4 hours, which seems to be normal here in downtown unfortunately

I saw first time super rude receptionist. It was really nice receptionist all the time but finally i faced today. That's sad because they lose good review because of only one bad lady they have. Dr. Remer is the worst doctor I’ve met to date. Inconsiderate, judgemental and arrogant; I came out of the doctor’s office feeling worse than when I entered. Staff was nice but I’d rather not get any medical help than have to see Remer again.

One of the worst clinic ever!! The doctirs are extremely unfriendly .waiting time is really high. Dr samuel and dr martin were not friendly . They didnt listen to my wife problem and they told we can not listen to more than one issue at a time .although the second time my wife was sick and they behaved very unfriendly . This place is usually my goto but after today's experience, I'm rethinking ever going to a public clinic or at the least going to metro clinic in the future. The wait time is 4 hours. I REPEAT THE WAIT TIME 4 HOURS. I REPEAT AGAIN WAIT TIME IS 4 HOURS.
I have gone there 5 times. Because its real close to my place. I came to the realization it was worth telling others about my experiences. I went for something, was seen for 5 minutes maximum by a doctor, had a blood test and a urinalysis. And waited. Two weeks passed and I called a good 4 times after they promised the results would be there in 2-3 days. They kept telling me a doctor hadn't looked at my test yet. They finally call me in, to proceed to tell me I need to take the urinalysis. I explain I already did, and paid for it. They convinced me on the fly to take it again, and pay for it again. I regret that. Honestly, its a horrible clinic.

I feel much worse than before I saw him. Towards the end of his consultation (or more aptly, interrogation), I just lied and told him a textbook answer so I could get away from him without his destroying my self-esteem any further. My heart sank. I wish I didn't see him.

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL One star is too much First of all it was a Zoom meeting at 3;30, i called at the clinic multiple times to ask if they could push it back 5mins just so i could have the time to get home from work to log on to the zoom and no one ever answered. at 3:28 i tried to log in and i wasnt able to. the doctor called me on a private number which i usually never answer and asked me a thousand questions about my whereabouts and i told him i was in front of my house and that i wanted to log in he told me to call the clinic and get another appointment and hung up on me.. it was 3;32... he didnt even give me the chance to explain what was wrong he just hung up

Been here a few times (maybe about 5-8 times), just because I was around downtown, not because this was a clinic that I liked. After the last two times I've been, I can say that I will never be back, and I will not recommend this clinic to anyone that I know. As many other mentioned, the staff is rude, for absolutely no reason other than they are probably just unhappy with their life. The last two times I've been there I got the female asian doctor (don't know here name). She is the most rude, uninterested, uncaring and unempathetic doctor I have probably ever met. I have no idea why she decided to go into this profession.
Do not go to this clinic. I came at 12:30pm. I was told to come back at 3pm. I came back at 3pm. I waited an 1 hour and 15 mins. When I was about to leave they said you will be seen *soon". Never go to this clinic unless you want to wait 5 hours to see a doctor.
I've been going here and recommending the place for 10 years. Yes, the wait time can be a few hours. Keep in mind it's a busy downtown location and you're at a clinic because you don't have a medical emergency. I've always been treated respectfully by the reception staff and the doctors, most recently among Dr. Chung (spelling?). I've experienced poor medical treatment in my life, but never at this clinic.

This clinic doesn't respect the patient‘s time at all , you made an appointment ,and the doctor came late, and the clinic told you that, went back home and waited for the call from the doctor, then after 4 hours since the appointment time, there is no call-back. Very good clinic, my advice - plan your visit in advance, come before 9 am to avoid big queue, be nice with people around or at least try even if you are very bad condition I belive all negative feedback written by people who is also part of a problem not only staff. We come for walking doctors early we wait 1 hr because nobody is called. We are in the firsts one to be called. Then we wait the doctor 20 minutes in the room he comes stays 2 minutes then go back for 10 minutes. We hear the doctor talking about his stuff about some funny stuff with his employees. We had a couple of things to check and the doctor would always leave fast before we can ask for the next thing we spend 2 hrs there...

This office is very hit and miss. Some of the receptionists are awful, and some are polite and professional. All of the male doctors I saw were rude, condescending, and the single female doctor I saw was very professional and compassionate. Mixed bag with unclear and sometimes long wait times, even for scheduled appointments online, which you will receive mixed messages, literally, about whether they're online or virtual.

Had a virtual consult with them. The doctor was extremely rude and impatient. He wouldn't talk to me until I shut my windows and closed my door to cut out any surrounding noise (there was barely any). He seemed annoyed the whole time I listed my symptoms and eventually said I should just go see my family doctor.

Doctor X.Su, who is clearly an incompetent doctor, was not nice and was very obnoxious. She laughed at me when I returned a week later saying I forgot to ask for a medical certificate. She also dismissed my concerns and disease... in her mind the patients are all faking it...If you want a clinic with caring doctors who dont consider patients just like numbers (the more parients the more money they make) and who want to help, choose a different clinic. It is a very bad place to go for medical advice. I went 3 times because it was convenient, but the 3 times the diagnosis were wrong. The doctors are not listen to you. They a re just here to see you 5 sec and cash the consultation. Don't go there, anywhere else should be better than this place.

Having been there twice I am completely satisfied by both the reception staff and the medical staff. This is a professional operation. Everybody was friendly, and nobody was wasting anyone else's time.

The nurse is always impatient, never listen to you and only want to finish the routine questions, and then hang up the phone afterwards. The experience with the doctor is kind of "interesting", he said he would schedule me a test and also recommend me to a specialist, and then, I just receive a text message on my phone with an appointment in a different city with more than 40-minute drive. They never asked my availability and my preference on the locations. Instead, they just made the poor choice on behalf of you. This is my first time to write such a negative comment on the Google. I would highly recommend you that do not waste your money here. If you have other options, please go somewhere else, this medical clinic will not solve any of your problems.

Bad overall experiences on all visits. I only keep going back to this clinic because the CLSC is closed at those hours. The doctors are always in a hurry and the rest of the staff is disrespectul towards patients. I have never felt satisfied that I got the right attention as a patient. The doctors at the Guy CLSC are much more attentive and caring.
Avoid!!!!! They confuse files order and then have the guts to say they called your name and you werent there. I did leave the clinic, but called every hour as I was advised to do, they kept telling me we are now seeing people from 9 AM, or 11 or 11.30 respectively with every call i made. I was even told at 4.19 pm that "we haven't reached people coming after noon yet." At 5.10 pm I show up and ask were they are at they tell me they are at at 12.21 ( i was booked at 12.45) i take the bathroom for 5 minutes I come back, the nurse ask for my name, and when she finds my file says I was called for the nurse check up and they had put my file at the end when I didnt respond. Told her when I registered I asked and they literally told me if you miss the nurse call its fine and you won't loose your turn to see the doctor. She then changes her story to "we called you to see the doctor too and you werent there". Then when I told her I have been calling all day she claimed that the line went fast because many ppl before me werent there as well!!! Am like how when u are still at 12.21 , she claims that they kept rotating back! The whole time I was there they were barely finishing 3 per hour! Even though some of these 3 or 4 werent there! Dunno how she claims they rotated files several times that day! An hour after, a girl comes in saying she was registered at 1pm, I hear receptionist say u were called for nurse but not doctor, and they call her before me! I dont get that since they claimed all files were pushed back and they "rotated back to 12.21" how does that make since if the girl who registered at 1 pm her name was not called for doctor! It's the nurse with blonde hair. I really cannot understand why they pushed my file back. She left 15 minute after this encounter! I could almost swear she did this so she wouldnt have to do another person before leaving, which is a legit feeling but there was no need to push me till the end specially when they saw me sweating with fever and all the wait was making me weak, and I was there on time for gods sake. If files rotated due to absence how come each time I called they seemed to change on track increasing? And why when I said im at 12.45 over the phone after 4.19 pm I was told they have not exceeded noon? Nurse claims I was called at 3 pm, receptionist claims I was called at 3.30 for doctor and at 3 pm for the nurse. Avoid at all costs. My favorite remains centre d'urgence du saint laurent at marcel laurin accross Maxi. They make this one look like a barbershop and if they werent full I would've never thought of coming to this one (not first horrible experience).

I got a voicemail for triage. The nurse didnt give an extension to reach her. I tried calling several times and the automated menu has no clear option to speak to anyone. The omsg says that 'we are open during the pandemic. We now offer telephone consultation". Since the triage nurse called on the telephone for triage, plus their automated msg about being open during pademic and using telephone consultation, i figured my appointment was a telephone appointment (due to the pandemic). I waited all day to get a call and no one ever called. Finally got a hold of someone in the evening and the nurse said that i missed my appointnent. They only do the triage part over the phone. I said usually triage includes taking your blood pessure, so i figured it was gonna be all on the phone. she reschedualed me. I went in person. They said they were going to send me my blood test requisition via email but then they sent it to me through a webprogram and i need a username and login and then when i click to sign up/ it says i need to ask doctor to sign me up. I have no way to access my important papers and i keep calling and there is no option to reach anyone/ the reception. 2 stars because the clinic is clean and nice, the dr was polite, and i didnt have to wait long.When I left the clinic I specifically asked the secretaries if there was anything else I needed to do. They said no they would send my test requisitions by email.
I went to the clinic for the first consultation and paid $ 37, the dentist found a small chronic caries, or a cavity that was there for years and has not developed. Worst service ever! Doctor was expeditious. Also I had to do some analysis which I did the morning after the consultation. I called everyday for a week to get the results, they couldn't care less for my situation and for my health, kept saying they didn't receive the results. I ended up going to another clinic to discover the results were already received and in the system 48hrs after the test. It was an infection so quite serious. I would not go back to that clinic and would say to anyone who care for his/her health to avoid it too!
Would not recomend this place to anyone, the doctors are careless, I got miss diagnosed twice because they did not take the time to do the proper normal checkup. I then changed clinics , and the doctor could not believe how they did not see what i had wrong. Please do yourself a favour and do not go there.
Awful, inefficient and incompetent - Maybe some people had good experiences, but not me. First of all, their nurse and secretary are very rude. The doctor told me that I had chicken pox, which is contagious for 5-10 days. He told me that I needed to rest to heal, and did not provide me with a note. That is after waiting for 3 hours even though I took an "appointment". I therefore had to go to work using public transportation and most likely infected many people. This left me wondering why we pay taxes for universal health care if you can't even get proper care.

This is the most horrible clinic I've ever been to. Doctors don't give a (you know what) about you. The only thing they value is money. If you don't have money, don't go there. They make you pay for EVERYTHING. They have crooked doctors that don't even care about your physical or mental health. It is a business, not a clinic.

Adore my personal physician ....and the staff super friendly BUT ....due to the pandemic phone service is to be desired .....I'm old and detest "waiting" then ..getting no explanation for the delay ...sigh

It was my first day to see a doctor in Canada as an international student. What I have experienced will never get out of my mind. The horrible so called Dr in room 9 is incredibly rude person. He even could not listen to my expression let alone give me consultation. If you don't speak french it will be more worse than you think. Just don't waste your time as you will be waiting for about 2 more hours in your appointment. Go somewhere else where you are treated as human being. This is a total disgrace to Canada. His licence should be revoked ASAP
I paid bonjour sante to see a dr. My app was at 10:15 .i got there at 10h.there was only 2 patients in front me . The dr was so slow that it took her 3 before I got to see her. (3 hours for 2 patients). I really don't recommend going there. It was with dr caroline pung
I am grateful for our experience at the clinic. My husband and I were assigned to a family doctor there. We went on several occasions. The receptionists were kind, helpful and patient. So were the nurses. Our doctor was fine too. The wait time was reasonable.
