I just had my visit with Dr. Hart to renew my prescription. I have been under his care for a year now and the results have left me speechless. I came to him with severe endometriosis pain and troubles sleeping, lack of and nightmares/flashbacks. I was constantly in excuriating pain despite the additional medications I am on. I couldn't even go to the gym anymore because it hurt and I never felt well enough. I have been training for 6 yrs now so that was a very big struggle. My sleep was so poor, waking up several times a night with terrible nightmares/flash backs and only getting 0-3hrs. This would then affect my days, lack of proper sleep meant lack of a proper mood and motivation to tackle the days ahead. Since seeing Dr. Hart, my sleep hygiene has improved vastly. I needed the Doctor to complete a form for my employer that stated I needed to take cannabis oil for medical reasons. Doctor said he would complete it later. 4 phone calls later over the course of 6 weeks , no call back and no form filled out. Horrible service. My suggestion is to go somewhere else. Edited to respond to the response: Why would I e-mail? It's been 7 months. If you can't return a phone call in 7 months I doubt sending an e-mail would be much help.

Unbelievably rude and condescending Doctor!! A member of my family had to renew their prescription and Dr. Hart threatened to withhold renewal of treatment unless a formal apology was made to him and his staff for extremely unprofessional mistakes on their end and tried to blame us! He is also CURRENTLY under review by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario for PROFESSIONAL MISCONDUCT AND/OR INCOMPETENCE as of January 23, 2019!! He has practice restrictions because of his medical misconduct and he is clearly not learning from his past behaviours! Will definitely be filling out a formal complaint and sending it to CPSO BEFORE his review period is up in June. Absolutely unacceptable behaviour from him AND his extremely unprofessional staff.

After 10 years of opiate addiction and alcoholism, years of methadone treatment, and dozens of hospital admissions, I rediscovered cannabis as a medicine. It helped tremendously with the opiate withdrawal symptoms and more importantly, it helped me stay sober for longer than a couple months for the first time in ten years. I had a brief relapse with opiates this year and was looking to use cannabis for the withdrawal instead of jumping onto methadone treatment again. Is cannabis a healthier alternative to methadone? You could ask this question to anyone who has ever been on methadone and I guarantee you not a single person would tell you methadone is the better option. So I went to Dr. Hart seeking to renew my cannabis prescription. Dr. Hart puts on a completely different persona on his online social media, portraying himself as a doctor who is genuinely interested in helping people heal through cannabis. But be prepared for a completely different person when you meet him face-to-face. Instead of encouraging me to use cannabis versus getting back onto the physically-addictive methadone, Dr. Hart gave me a 1 month prescription renewal and told me to find another clinic. He was very hostile to me, berating me for being unemployed and cutting me off whenever I tried to give any context to my addictions history. He also completely disregarded the fact I am diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis and Crohn's and trying to look for a healthier alternative to opiate painkillers. It is clear Dr. Hart is not doing this because he believes in cannabis as a medicine. I left in tears that day and have since heard similar stories from others about Dr. Hart. Some doctors are just in this for the money. It actually saddens me that I can go to an illegal dispensary run by bikers and be treated with more compassion and understanding than an actual medical doctor who specializes in prescribing cannabis as a medicine.

And our daughter has made great strides with their help Dr. Hart has changed the lives of our entire family. WARNING: IF YOU SUFFER FROM ANXIETY, DO NOT VISIT MR. HART I visited Mr. Hart on July 23, 2019. I was there for help with my anxiety. It had gotten so bad that I was having issues with disassociation. I take cannabis for my condition, I'm also not working and working with other specialists to get my mental health back on track. I decided to not take any meds that day so the doctor could see my amxiety completely. Right off the bat, Mike was impatient with me, he was very sharp with his tone. I continued to answer the questions the best I could until he got so impatient and angry and told me, stop acting so weird and talking all funny and just answer the question. I again tried my best...but it wasn't working. Mike completely lost his temper at me and said 'get out or stop talking'. I haven't felt so much fear in a long time. To live with severe anxiety and then have to have a doctor treat me with such a lack of love, care and understanding...well it was overwhelming to say the least. I started crying and having trouble breathing. With what little air I had a rolled one of my sage stress relieve essential oils on my wrist and whispered 'you're taking my condition too personally'. After a few minutes of silence watching Mike stare out his office window, he finally started talking to me again. He then accused me of intentionally filling out the paperwork incorrectly. Mike every day feels like a week and you think, I drove 2 hours to your office to intentionally fill out your paperwork incorrectly because I actually don't want help? If I really didn't want help, I would have left when you yelled at me but I needed my cannabis perscription and you have no right to talk to me or anyone else with that tone when they are coming to you for help. You don't deserve to help people if you intent to harm them as well. If you lack awareness about what anxiety looks like then learn about it. But don't you ever attack a patient again. I will be filling out a complaint only to save those ahead of me from such pain. I'm glad this happened when my depression had lifted or I could clearly seeing myself wanting to not live after such an altercation. I also want to say thank you to the receptionist, Wrinkles and Serena for making sure I felt heard, cared for and respected in that office. Thanks for all you love during a very very bad day. It made a world of difference. And to the lovely bartender I met at Joe Kool's, thank you for listening and telling me that I deserve better and for the very awesome hug that helped me forget all the pain the day brought. I live in Mississauga and cannot have another friend drive 2 hours to London (I cannot drive myself due to my anxiety) just to find out why my health care provider decided to cancel my cannabis prescription. Mr Hart, you already lost your temper with me, scared me, made me cry, pushed me into severe anxiety/panic attacks, made false accusations about my conduct and now you've cancelled my prescription because your feelings got hurt by my Google review. I recall seeing a poster on your office wall stating 'Waste no more time arguing what a good man should be, be one'...NOW would be the time to display that behaviour Mr Hart. Monica

I have been a patient of Dr. Mike Hart since 2014. Dr. Hart helped me when no other doctors could figure out what to do aside from referrals and of course write many prescriptions. With his knowledge, guidance and understanding, Dr. Hart helped me get off of the 18 prescription pills daily to 0 pills daily. None of the countless other doctors were able to do this for me. Dr. Hart is calm and approachable. He will listen to you. He hears what you are saying, he definitely cares about your health, wellbeing and wants to help you feel your best. The look on his face when he hears he has helped says it all to me. He really does care and wants to help. His patients arent just a paycheck (like other doctors can make you feel). I feel completely safe in his care and don't ever feel the need to second guess his recommendations like I have with other doctors in the past. All of his staff have been extremely friendly, helpful and completely approachable with any question I have ever had for them. They are all wonderful people. I believe Dr. Hart saved my life. I am totally still in shock. I have lost 85lbs since August of 2018. And all it took was dr hart and his knowledge and thank god he shares it.
