I went here to get a rapid test, they were not thorough enough at all swabbing my nose, and I got a negative test but was not convinced. I had definitely contracted covid however, and after self testing PROPERLY I got a positive test. Waste of money, I have now put my family at risk of covid-19. Go somewhere else. EDIT: My partner went and had the exact same experience at a different location, so clearly it's an issue with the training employees recieve, not just a specific nurse. However, we contacted the company and both recieved full refunds, which was something.

I needed a PCR test for travel. When I booked they said 24 hours for the results. When I took the test they said 48 hours which still would have been okay. It's 50 hours now and I don't have any results. This might cost me $2000 in flights + the $170 that I wasted on the test.

I had called in before Christmas to enquire about PCR testing for travel for family of 5, and was advised to book the at home service, convenience outweighing the extra cost. At the time results were guaranteed in under 24 hours, so we agreed to give extra holiday leeway and book for 48 hours before flight. I was told that once I booked online, I would receive an email confirmation and all info about payment etc. would be included. A few days later I still had not received an email, and I sent another booking request online thinking the first may not have gone through. I followed up with a call, where the nice gentleman assured me that he could see both of my requests online and I had nothing to worry about - they would call me the day before the booking. The day before the booking, no calls yet. It was a Sunday and I could not reach Canada Home Doctors as it was out of office hours. I emailed them, no reply. Monday, I called and was on hold for 40 minutes waiting for someone to take my call before I gave up. The day passed and no call no response, no one showed up. Luckily I found place at another lab and went and tested without issue there. Imagine if I had left this for 24 hour testing. You should not jeopardize people's plans this way and you should NOT assure us of dependable service when you cannot deliver this promise. Shameful

Just missed my flight because results did not arrived in time 20h+ after the test. AVOID AT ALL COSTS EDIT: Results arrived 24h and 10 min after the test. Any other place can do it in a couple of hours even though they also advertise 24h. Just do not go there if you want peace of mind.

The lost my COVID test. Last minute I had to do another in a he airport I called them and I found out that happened without any answers Almost lose my fly. The person in the phone offered me to refund both COVID test. I had to go on roaming to have an answer… They just now refused to do a full refund for a COVID test that the lost plus the new one that they didn’t do. The owner refused to give me a refund plus hand out on me. I keep calling him and he told me to go with my lawyer because he won’t refund me. I can’t believe all the stress that they give me for do a poor service.

Very Irresponsible company/laboratory. Canada home doctors are giving false advertising while chargin 169$. I went to get a PCR test and it's been 5 days still without receiving my results despite them saying that I'd would get my results 24h after test (which later was updated to 48h) how about 120h. They're impossible to reach by phone or email because they don't answer to neither. Much rather make an appointment somewhere. Avoid this Irresponsible company

On their website they noted Test: 24 -48H - 165 $. I paid online. Thursday morning, day of my test, I received an email telling me that there will be delays in the time limits. So I run at 9:00 am to go do the test and better understand. I find myself in a pharmacy. the pharmacist tells me that normally I will receive my results in 24 hours but to confirm with the other pharmacist who takes the sample. This one tells me that the laboratory is no longer able to manage and that therefore there will be a delay and to send them an email or telephone but that it could take time and that he is not responsible. So I contacted the laboratory at 9:30 am, waited over an hour on the phone without an answer, sent an email without an answer. Faced with the situation, I looked on my phone for another laboratory and was able to find an appointment 1 hour later with Biron at the airport. Booked an appointment online without paying. With Biron I had my result in 5 hours and was therefore able to take my plane the next day (Friday December 25)! The TOP of the story is that I only received the results from Canada Home Doctors on Sunday noon December 27 at noon !!! Or 3 days later. In the results sheet they noted that they had received my test Thursday 9:00 pm when I went to take it at 9:00 in the morning and that they had delivered the test to me on Saturday evening at midnight (so that 'they respected the 48 hours !!!) I just went back to their website and they removed the 24 hour reference to make sure I had no complaints. Devant la situation j'ai recherché sur mon téléphone un autre laboratoire et ai pu trouve un rendez-vous 1 heure plus tard avec Biron a l'aéroport. Ai pris rendez-vous en ligne sans payer. Avec Biron j'ai eu mon résultat en 5 heures et ai donc pu prendre le lendemain mon avion (vendredi 25 décembre) ! Le COMBLE de l'histoire est que j'ai reçu les résultats de Canada Home Doctors seulement dimanche midi le 27 décembre a midi !!! Soit 3 jours plus tard. Dans la feuille de résultat ils ont note qu'ils avaient reçu mon test jeudi 21:00h quand j'étais allée le passer a 9:00 le matin et qu"ils m'avaient livre le test le samedi soir a minuit (donc qu'ils respectaient bien les 48h !!!). Je viens de retourner sur leur site Web et ils ont enlevé la mention des 24 heures pour être certain de ne pas avoir de plaintes. A BOYCOTTER !

My recent experience with CHD was much like most recent reviewers: late results (PCR results after 3 days), and scarce communication via email and phone, which left me stressed and frustrated. However this was my third time booking with this company personally since the pandemic started, as well as a handful of times I've recommended them to family members, and every other time before this time was timely (less than 24h) and they were easy to reach on the phone. I hope they work to solve their capacity/scale problem because the majority of my experiences (and family's) were great.

UPDATED BELOW. Pretty rough experience. I heard news that tests were taking too long with the public system and had a deadline to receive results so I opted for these guys. After 24 hours I called to ask about them and was promised test results “by the end of the night”. It has been 96 hours with none and no more answers to phone calls or emails. I paid for a service and was scammed as I have not heard from them or received results. I understand that the public system is overwhelmed but results arrived more quickly from them. This is a private company and if it can’t deliver to customers it should not be accepting them. Greed should not come before even being able to provide your service. I am appalled as this has caused me to delay travel plans seeing as testing has become an essential part to getting anywhere. Do not promise a service you cannot deliver. Update: they have replied and offered a full refund but still no results. Upping review to two stars.

If you have asthma, breathing issues, multiple chemical sensitivities, etc., this likely isn't the place for you. CHD, please make it a policy for your healthcare workers not to wear scented products. Your service is inaccessible to a lot of patients. One big reason to home test for me was that I'm in an asthma flare up. The nurse came wearing strong perfume. Even testing on my balcony this triggered my asthma badly and she had to rush the test. The swab was shallow and not done for long so I felt unsure of the result. I made an appointment for a second test and stressed the importance of no perfumes and no scents. I called again the day before the test as a reminder and was told there's a prominent note on my file and it certainly won't happen again. However the second nurse was not told and she showed up in perfume again. She had to leave the test at the door and I had to do my best to swab myself. Didn't get the service I paid for on either occasion.

I purchased a PCR test because the results were guaranteed to come in 24 hours. The results did not come in 24 hours, despite the terms and conditions stating that the results were guaranteed to come in 24 hours. I emailed service to get some compensation, and got not response. Do not use this if you need you PCR test within 24 hours, despite what the terms and conditions state.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Thursday evening I had a flight which required a PCR test. When I booked the appointment it said I’d get the results within 24 hours. When I went to do the test I was told it could take up to 48 hours, which was fine since my appointment was for 50+ hours before my flight and I understand that labs are overwhelmed at the moment. The day of my flight I still hadn’t received my results and was unable to get in touch with them so at the last minute I went to RPD Rapid Testing Clinic and was able to get a PCR test result in just a few hours, JUST in time for my flight (they saved me from losing $1000+ in flights costs). I ended up receiving the result from Canada Home Doctors 72+ hours after doing the test. I REPEAT, DO NOT GO HERE!
