At present this business has a rating of 2.3 stars out of 5 and that score is based on 40 reviews.
As you can see it reaches an reviews average is really weak, and it is based on a large number of opinions, so we can conclude that the valuation is quite faithful. If there are many people who bothered to evaluate when they are pleased, it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to write reviews when they are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Doctor belongs to the category of Doctor.
Dr. Thakore is a 5 star doctor but the receptionists don’t answer. Been trying to get a hold of the office for three days.
Called on five separate days in the past two weeks. Busy signal, disconnected, and now "all receptionists are currently busy." When I finally get a ring it rings and rings and rings, and then drops it. Back to busy message. This is seriously frustrating reception services.
Dr Thakore is absolutely amazing. But I don’t understand how I’m supposed to get ahold of her if reception will not answer the phone or even put it on the hook.
Phones have been down for some time otherwise great practice.
Excellent, caring and smart doctor. My family of 4 goes to him for over 10yrs now. Thank you Dr. WAIZ.
I have been trying for 2 days to get through to make an appointment and the phone line is busy. I called 87 times yesterday (YES, 87 TIMES), no answer. The people at the front desk are rude and curt over the phone and in person. This has been my family Dr for 37 years and have never experienced such rude people at the front desk. This recent annoyance is not my first horrible experience with this office. If this was a walk-in clinic, I would never return and clearly I am not the only one to express this.
Not only is Dr. Thakore an absolute GEM of a find for a doctor (thorough, kind, exhaustive, caring...all the words you want your doctor to be), but the staff at reception are top notch. My anxiety about moving to a new doctor is gone!
Dr thakore is a 5 star practitioner first off She deserves to be somewhere much nicer. Phones never work. The numbers I was given from front desk " dont exist " I called a fax machine to? They have an extension one to it doesn't exist. And when a phone is actually a phone it rings through to nope cannot leave a voice mail either. I completely understand a shortage on staff, so have a NUMBER you can reach and leave a message with your information :) yeah, or have valid emails in place. Coffee shops in the ghetto are more professional than this .
Absolute garbage. Barely any help, completely lazy and negligent reception. You won't even be able to make an appointment most of the time.
So many judgey, entitled, people who are quick to jump on here to leave a one star review JUST because they can't get through on the phone. Did you ever think that maybe during a pandemic there are challenges getting repairmen in to fix the phones? If you can't get through on the phone find another way. The reception has been phenomenal during such a challenging time plus whenever I stopped in they stepped up & I got what I needed. Drive, walk, or take transit? The office is right on a transit route? This is absolutely a FIVE STAR doctor's office (who recently had some severe issues with their phone lines). Be kind.....
The doctors are great however reception is a complete nightmare to get through to. I was having symptoms and needed to change my appointment to a phone visit. I called non stop from 9am until 130pm and either for a busy signal or waited on hold for over 45 minutes to get through to reception. I emailed 3 times. No one has gotten back to me. It's been 3 days since the appointment and I still can't get through. If I have a GP I don't understand how I'm supposed to see them if it's completely impossible to talk to reception
Dr. Thakore is AMAZING... but reception is bad. I'm looking forward to changing this to a 5 Star review when they start answering phone calls.
I called and tried to register my son with Dr.Thakore as she had told a family member that she would accept me and my 11 month old son as patients. The woman on the phone told me she needed to check with the Doctor to confirm (She started at 11AM that day) and would call me back. A week goes by and I get no call so I call again and get asked if they could call me in a little bit as it was very busy when I called. I waited 4 hours and got no call back so I ended up walking there to register. (I was told this Doctor was incredible and really was excited to see her.) I booked my appointment almost a month in advance. When I got to the office they got me in right away which was nice however I was left in that room with my baby for 40 minutes past my appointment time. I stepped out of the room to ask what was going on and why the Doctor hadn't come to see us. The receptionist said something along the lines of she just realized that I had been waiting that long, then apologized and said the doctor was leaving the hospital and headed to the office (I was not made aware this Doctor sometimes gets stuck at the hospital.) I waited around for another 40 minutes only to be told that the doctor was not going to be there for "another few minutes" which I am sure was not just another few minutes. At that point I left very very disappointed and frustrated with an equally frustrated and fussy baby. Extremely disorganized, unprofessional and inconsiderate of patients time.
Resounding what everyone else is saying- there's no point in having amazing doctors if you can't actually make an appointment to see them. I wouldn't even blame this on the reception that exists, I would blame this on a lack of ability to get a better system set up. Other places have online booking, email, or answering machines for issues that LCFP just seems to neglect. Would give a better review if ANY of these options were explored, or if they could just get more people answering phones, until then... do not waste your time trying to make this facility help you in any way.
Zero stars. They do not answer their phones.
I’ve been taking my baby to Dr Richardson since she was born in June- the reception staff has always been kind although they are very busy. Dr Richardson is very thorough during the checkup and answers all questions. The nurses are equally great when giving immunizations. I’m confident in the care being given to my daughter.
Love everyone who works here, I’ve been going since before my son was born and all the staff have been nothing but kind, caring, accommodating and wonderful. I cannot say enough about this clinic. If you are lucky enough to get a family dr here you won’t be disappointed at all!
The front desk staff of this drs office is absolutely horrendous. My family dr has been at this place for over 15 years and WOW how is it possible its getting worse? I have no problems with my dr ... if im able to reach him. Ive been hung up on by the front desk ladies, simply voicing my concern as a patient not being able to book an appointment for over 3 weeks because of issues they have with their phones. Dealing with critical mental health issues and telling the fd staff while booking, she told me i was being rude and hung up on me. My mother in law isn't able to drive and has a critical long term illness. She had been trying to call and book her appointments for over 2 weeks at the end of November, she wasn't able get though due to their "phone issues". Luckily my father in law is able to drive down to the office and had to book her in. Patients who don't live close do not have that option. If you hate people that much and have zero respect for humans in pain, why are you medical office assistants?
Please post your status holiday hours I have called so many times there was no answer or voice mail about status holiday hours.
I've been trying to get my prescription refilled. The pharmacy has faxed it to them several times and no response. I've called dozens of times but no answer and the automated message states that they're close even if you call during office hours. The reception is a joke! These doctors won't be able to see their patients if this is the kind of reception they have. I don't know how I'm going to get my prescription refilled.
Very friendly staff and doctors. I've never had to wait longer than 3 mins in the waiting room
not answering phone line and extensions are broken
Something is not right with the office anymore- they used to answer the phones on the first or second ring and the MOA's are always easy to talk to. Now when I call I get this message: 'The person you are calling is not taking calls at the moment" on my android and if I call from my work cell it just states the line is busy by beeping. Did the clinic close? My family GP is/was at this location, and my husband and I need prescription refills,- we emailed through the site and got our Pharmacy to fax a request over. What is going on- anyone know or get through? Are they moving?
It would be great if someone would answer the phones? I have been trying to reach my doctor for a week and it either rings continuously or they take it off the hook? What now?
PLEASE fix your... EVERYTHING. Cannot even get in to see anyone. WHAT A WASTE!
Dr Thakore was so thorough in going over my history and current medical issues.
Phone Line is not available
I have absolutely no issues with my doctor or the care provided here but trying to get through to reception has become almost impossible. They would be better off firing the reception and having an automated system. Something as simple as a prescription refill takes days to complete and it’s such an unnecessary burden for people who are already struggling with medical concerns. Answering machine always seems to pick up when they’re on lunch though ???? I’m really disappointed.
I started calling the office at 10am and it is now 2pm. All I get is a busy signal. All I want is to have my prescription re-filled. Not sure what to do.
The phones never work and when they do you’re put on hold for ages. I’ve called upwards of a dozen times a day for weeks to get ahold of my family doctor because I’ve miscarried, to no avail. It’s emotionally exhausting. I strongly suggest you find another practice, if I could rate this practice a zero, I would.
Dr.Mcdonald has always been a great family doctor , couldn't ask for better. I understand they have had a problem with the phones recently and I am sure that will be resolved in a timely matter. EDIT : Dropped 2 stars , been trying to get ahold of them for 2 weeks and still can't get through to the front desk
Worst experience with a doctors office I've ever had. The receptionist is extremely rude. I've had to make multiple phone calls, emails etc. to obtain information regarding my child. Despite providing the doctor and office manager with my court order, i still needed to pay my lawyer to contact the office manager in order to get the information i was seeking. There was no reason for this information to be withheld. The doctors notes are extremely vague, and provide you with zero information despite the severity of the issues. When i requested clarification on the matter my emails were ignored, i was given to another locum doctor who refused to to provide me any kind of documentation on the matter, despite its importance and relevance to the care of my child. i was told the other doctor would contact me directly about what i was requesting, and never heard back. I had to reach out yet again. I have also been informed that the doctors office is illegally charting my childs information in another patients medical file in attempt to keep said information from me. i would not recommend this office to anyone, especially if you have a shared parenting arrangement. There's no way to ensure you will get your childs information as staff does not chart properly nor do they care if both parents are properly informed.
EXTREMELY frustrated. The phone hasn't been working since at least end of October, so anyone who can't drive to the office won't have been able to make appointments for a month and a half. When I asked why phones were down and how long it would be until they were up, I was given a wishy-washy response with no apology. The doctor didn't call my son for his over - the - phone appointment a couple weeks ago (scheduled in-person via receptionists), and because we haven't been able to make the trip out again to re-book, he is about to run out of his prescription medication. The phones seem to be up and running today, FINALLY, but hangs up on me every call because the lines are busy! Won't even let me wait in a queue! This is completely unacceptable for a DOCTOR'S office.
The situation with calling and not being able to get through to make an appointment is a joke. I have been calling for 2 days. When I got through I was told I was no. 8 on the Q and told to call back later when I called back I was told I was no. 10 on the Q and to again to call back later. Just tried again at 12:15 and now nothing, doesn't ring, no message, nothing as I believe they don't answer the phone during their lunch hour. Here is an idea, if they won't answer during lunch maybe they could have an answering machine set up so I can leave a message and after lunch they can call me back. Dr. MacDonald is great but whomever is responsible for this pathetic phone system and the ability to make an appointment should be fired. Would anyone that works at this office be happy if they went through this kind of hassle to make an appointment with their doctor? If I was a doctor at this office I would personally take the steps necessary to fix this situation as it would reflect poorly on me.
Been my doc since 1992 When I moved to BC. Never had any trouble. If doc was on a holiday, one of the other doc’s would take care of me. ????????????????
Can't understand how a doctor's office can't seem to fix their phones. It's been over two months, and there still seems to be problems getting through. Tried emailing but that doesn't work either, not sure if the company is even aware of the situation.
My doctor is great but it's become impossible to reach her because the phones don't work! Never seen anything like this before. Been calling for the past 3 days and all I get is a busy signal followed by a disconnection. It's absolutely terrible! How are you supposed to get in touch with your care provider if reception won't answer the phones. It's actually dangerous.
Worst doctors office around, I have to call literally 45 times just to get through and make an appointment this place is joke wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy. The doctors are great though but the receptionist seem stuck up, they sit around all day and just take instead of answer calls. Honestly I would just suggest a walk in clinic don’t even waste ur time
