I have been a patient of Dr. Sleigh for 8 years now, dealing with various stomach/digestive issues. Cannot recommend him highly enough, I have had absolutely incredible healing results. and he is extremely kind, you feel like you are the only one that matters in that moment when you meet with him. Highly knowledgeable staff and overall such a great experience. One thing to keep in mind it that because Dr. Sleigh is so knowledgeable and in depth, he will go over yours or others' appt times and is often late, but you can call ahead and ask the receptionist to avoid sitting in the waiting room. If there is any kind of a wait however, it is more than worth it! Thank you Family Health clinic for all you have done for me!

Do not even attempt to use this practice if you are attempting a VBAC and looking for some extra support (besides your OB). They have privileges at Langley Memorial and Surrey Memorial, HOWEVER they will not take you on as a patient planning to deliver at Surrey Memorial. 1) My daughter was born via emergency csection at Langley Memorial because their OBs failed to notice she was BREECH until my due date.. 2) My OB delivers at Surrey Memorial/BC Women's 3) The booking clerk said it would not be a problem... A week later I received a call from Lindsay (possibly a midwife) who told me they would take me on because I had planned to deliver at Surrey Memorial. Didn't try to understand my traumatic situation with Langley Memorial AT ALL. and she confirmed she could practice at Surrey and was opting not to... Didn't refer me to anyone else.. 4) because I am attempting a VBAC I am a high risk delivery and do not feel Langley Memorial would be adequate in handling my high needs labour (they could even handle my pregnancy and what was supposed to be a normal vaginal birth). I ended this call feeling like they very obviously do not have the mother's best care and wishes at heart, and these people (Lindsay) should NOT have a job dealing with expectant mothers. Her tone was very condescending the whole time .. absolutely disgusted with this treatment. I now feel absolutely defeated in my search for someone who could support me through my pregnancy and labour/delivery... A mother should not finish a call with a midwife feeling the way I do. Good fuc*ing morning.. what a way to start your day. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID.

This is a great clinic, very helpful and they will actually listen to your concerns. Even one time when they couldn't help me with a particular problem they called and made sure I knew all my other options, and other places I could try. Best doctors office I've been too. Sometimes their treatments seem more subtle than a regular GP but they always explain their reasons. Their treatments have always helped, though it does take longer to heal than people realize, they try to figure out the root cause instead of just suppressing symptoms.

When I called to schedule an appointment with a family medicine specialist, the front desk was very rude. Upon further research I discovered that the provider never actually completed a residency in family medicine, even though they refer to themselves as "family practice doctors"

I called looking to book an appointment for the first time and the receptionist said “we’re not a walk-in clinic. You have to be a patient”. I was confused and asked if that meant a family doctor and just ended the call because I couldn’t understand what she meant. I called two other naturopath clinics and was able to book an appointment no problems. I wanted to go here because it was the closest but it’s probably better to travel farther if their front desk staff is so confusing and unhelpful anyways.
