So I have been bringing my children to Dr. Rossy for about eight years now and I have to say, he is the absolute best. I honestly wish he was a family doctor instead of just a pediatrician, because us adults need amazing care too! Dr. Rossy not only spends the time to make sure that all our questions are answered and that everything we need to know is clear, but he even follows up with a phone call or a text and told us on more than one occasion that we can reach him anytime and he will answer. And that's the thing, he actually DOES answer! Like how rare is that in this day and age? Wonderful person, caring, competent and super brilliant in everything he does and in his diagnoses. Very lucky my kids had him!!
Dr. Rossy has a lot of patients and he only comes to Westmount few of times a week. He always answer the questions you have about your baby. He is also very fast and concise.
Great Doctor!
(Translated) The secretary who gives the appointments is absolutely odious! No empathy, extremely arrogant and hung up on me a few times. She arranges appointments as she pleases and not in order of priority of call when it comes to an emergency! My 1 year old son at the time almost ended up in the emergency room because of his fault! She deserves to be fired for her completely unprofessional behavior.
Theoretically it could be better, but probably not in Quebec! I've been to Dr. Rossy with my kids more than a dozen times. He is on time with appointments much of the time (rarely did we wait more than 10-15 minutes). He's efficient and experienced. When my kids were sick and he wasn't available (p.ex. on vacation) his backup doctors took my kids and were good and in Westmount. Dr. Rossy is involved in fundraising for the Children's hospital. The obvious downside to Dr. Rossy's efficiency is that he doesn't spend much people-time chatting with you. For a parent who's an engineer (like me), that's probably fine. But, if you're worried and need reassuring (a legitimate need for many parents) you may not find his style so comforting. The other down side is that he does not have a secretary working at his Westmount office (I've never been to see him elsewhere). You check yourself in by placing your kid's health card on a square on the desk, after the last person. What seems to be a down-side of having to call to book an appointment at 5:00 am for emergencies has turned out for us not to be a down-side. When our kids were sick (e.g., earaches), we were up at 5:00 am anyway!
Really bad experience. If you health is OK, this doctor is ok. But if you arrive with a problem , his only anserw is "go to the emergency" It happend to me three times. Last time, my son was a serious problem and he didn't want to take his case. He didn't make any question, NOTHNG. Just "go to the emergency" His secretary.... It seems she doesn't like her job I'll never came back
Terrible service!
Both of my children go to him and he was my doctor as well. He is caring, compassionate, direct and thorough. My girls love him and that's a great thing in and of itself.
We love Dr. Rossy! He always takes the time to answer questions and to examine our child.
(Translated) excellent pediatrician and excellent person. Ryan and us, we say thank you (Original) excellent pédiatre et excellente personne. Ryan et nous, on vous dit merci
The only way you can make an appointment is by calling at 5.30 in the morning to leave a message!?!? Why can I not make an appointment today for tomorrow? Makes no sense. Is he a good paediatrician? Maybe He's always in a rush and very rude. Never a smile or a nice word to my daughter. I found much better pediatricians at Tiny Tots on Decarie.
Yes he's brief, but he gets right to the point. Wait times are not long at all and he's very organized with his appointments. He's great and very kind. Make sure you have all your question written down though, the appointments are quick!
He is extremely brief! Borderline rude. It almost seems as if he's trying to squeeze as many patients as he can in his 2 hour window. Misdiagnosed my child twice. I am presently looking for a new pediatrician. If I could give 0 stars I would.
I chose Dr. Rossy as the pediatrician for my child because I read some good reviews about him, and it was also suggested by CLSC. I have to say, it takes a lot to infuriate me, but I've lost my patience. Based on my experience so far, I'd have to say I'd prefer looking for a better service. I can't say that Dr Rossy isn't a good doctor, however, just the process to see him is very inconvenient and annoying. When you see him, his answers are quite brief, so you have to be ready to go in there with a list of questions you want answered. Sometimes, his answers don't give much closure to things you are worried about. Also, the receptionist he has there is quite rude, sounds like she hates her job and can't deal with people nicely or give any suggestions - no compassion or kindness. You have to wake up and be ready to call at 5:30am on the dot to make an appointment, and the times that I have called at 5:30am the line was busy, or there was no more room in his voicemail box. I tried calling a few minutes to 30 minutes later and still the same thing. Yesterday I called at 5:30am on the dot, was finally able to leave a voicemail, but never got a call back for an appointment, so I called around noon today only for the receptionist to tell me that I called at 5:28am on her phone so she didn't call me, because I didn't call at 5:30am exactly. Trust me, I've called multiple times on different days to only get his voicemail or busy signal and the day I actually get through, she tells me some BS about being 2 minutes early on her phone. My son just got his vaccinations 2 days ago, and told us to book an appointment with him after his shots. He has had a fever so we wanted to see Dr. Rossy, only to be turned away because of a 2 minute window to call. It's ridiculous. If he has that many patients, he should be setting up an online system so people can book appointments at their leisure, not have to be up at 5:30am calling aimelessly, and get rid of his receptionist.
He is the worst scripted Dr like robot I seen, He never pay attention to what we try to tell him, Dude go find another field to specialize, You're not qualified to be a Ped
The services that I receive from Dr. Rossy (Pediatrician) are EXCELLENT!!!
(Translated) The receptionist is so unprofessional and aggressive that we decided not to send our son to this pediatrician. By far the worst service ever received! (Original) La receptionniste est tellement non professionnelle et aggressive que nous avons décidé de ne pas envoyer notre fils à ce pédiatre. De loin le pire service jamais reçu!
Although seems like he is very brief through his examination, he answers every question you. So it is better to explain the problem and ask him the question. Otherwise, you won't like service. Can't say anything about other doctors, my CLSC nurse suggested me him and he is really good at what he does.
Always able to see him same day. Very kind man, answers questions and is very knowledgeable. Great doctor
Dr. Rossy is the most amazing man I have ever met. He is so caring and diligent with his checkups. He takes his time to examine my children and always makes them laugh :) what I like is that he is not quick to prescribe meds. I first came to Dr. Rossy in 2007, as he was strongly recommended by family friends. Thank goodness I did!!

He is the best. Answer all the questions and to the point.thanks to him a lot
First review on google reviews . This dr earns his 5 starts and more. He saved my son's life and for that, we are forever thankful.
(Translated) A truly wonderful pediatrician. My kids love the stickers he gives them! (Original) Un pédiatre vraiment merveilleux. Mes enfants adorent les autocollants qu'il leur donne!
(Translated) Very bad experience with this doctor, he looks like a robot, no sense of humanity! 1- the premises in Westmount are rudimentary, old dilapidated building, it is so cold inside during the winter, the heating was not working! 2- No assistant was present on site, it was the doctor who took the cards, made the registrations, managed the queue ... I felt in a third world country. 3 - Our turn arrives, the doctor makes us enter the consultation room with a not at all friendly attitude (no hello or nothing ...) telling me to take off my child's sweater and tank top, then he has faded away ! (because he was welcoming as I mentioned before) My little one was very ill with an acute lung infection, so I didn't want to take his tank top off (because it was cold) until this doctor came back ... and there! he said to me with an aggressive tone: why didn't you take off the clothes, it's not my job to do it, you are here for that! I was speechless in front of this aggressive and unprofessional behavior ... he did not even take the time to hide my child because he wanted to be quick to get as many patients as possible. In short, I strongly advise against.
The receptionist is very abrupt and rude. They always have specific times you need to call before even getting an appointment. He is super hard to get a hold off and his office hours are unknown and not fixed. So if you have an emergency, you're actually better off going to the emergency room.
best doctor ever1!!!
Great doctor. Available when you need him. To the point and very professional. Wish he was a family doctor as well.
I've been bringing my children to Dr. Rossy for many years, and so have many of my friends, and we all feel the same about him. He's a warm, kind, generous paediatrician. We love him and so do our kids. If any of my kids are ill, he makes sure that we text him every day with updates. If he's not happy with how they're doing, he sees them back right away just to check. On one occasion, he found a pneumonia in my daughter. And another time, he found a urine infection in my other daughter. He's calm, has a great sense of humour, and never rushes us, even if his waiting room is packed (which it always is). What more can you ask of a doctor? Wish we could find a GP just like him!!
I visited Dr. Rossy for the first time. He comes highly recommended - and I understand why! Amazing doctor. Caring and takes his time. He ensured to answer all of my question. The wait was only 15 minutes. The Westmount Medical Building is also conveniently located. I highly recommend him!
The best! He takes his time to examine your child. My son loves him and is always excited to see Dr. Rossy! He is great????????????????????????????????
(Translated) Excellent listening doctor. I highly recommend (Original) Excellent médecin à l'écoute. Je recommande fortement
First rate pediatrician. He is caring and genuinely has a passion for what he does.
