Terrible experience. Paid a ridiculous amount of money just for them to say they don't know what's wrong. Told us they would give us medication for our pets pain, only to be told on the phone the next day when we said it wasn't working that it wasn't for pain. While asking us questions they made us feel like terrible owners. The whole time I was there it seemed more about the money than my pets health.

It's a veterinary clinic - the only one around here for miles. Absolutely bring your pet here if need be. I, unfortunately, had the experience where I had to euthanize my cat of fifteen years, and while this was my first experience with euthanasia, some decisions made by assistants were traumatizing to both me and my cat in her final moments. For those who don't understand the euthanasia process, a sedative is administered to make the animal sleepy and usually takes full effect in 10-15 minutes (or so I was told). My cat was taken to the back room to get the catheter in place after five minutes, after she had just laid down and was still very aware of what was going on. She was then brought back, as she was not sleepy enough, before being taken away again for the catheter a second time after another five minutes. The final injection was delivered while she could still lift her head and was meowing and growling, and while again, I do not know if this is procedural, I am told by many it was not. It's sad that this is our only option for pet care, and I can understand why provincial animal shelters do not ship their babies to us. The only reason this ever got three stars is because this is, again, our only option. Labrador City should do better. I'd recommend going to Goose Bay if at all possible.

They truly love animals and put in so much time to help all of them. The staff is friendly and the vets/vet techs are compassionate, they listen, and are extremely knowledgeable. Unfortunately some services are quite costly but they do communicate this before hand and they are extremely busy servicing our area and those around it. They do have an emergency vet line for after hours.
