I've had excellent experiences with both my pregnancies. Just had my second one and over the last few months I've had nothing but efficient and friendly service from all staff. I was able to book all my appointments over the phone with ease and the receptionists were always courteous whether on the phone or in person. The team is amazing too! Thank you so much for making both my birth experiences amazing! Huge thanks to Dr Filion and Dr Lamb! Merci! :)

Did all my checkups here while pregnant with my first baby. Excellent service, my Dr. is beyond imaginable nice, professional and funny. We live in St Lazare but do not mind the drive going all the way. Although there can be long waits... Like two hours sometimes, but it does depend on the day. Feel like they do try to service patients as soon as possible. Will definitely be going for my future pregnancy and did recommend friends to go there as well.

The waiting line is almost always up to the door as the appointments are scheduled at 5 min so expect at least 1 hour waiting before seeing the doctor. We call for questions (at least 15-20 times before someone answers) and they ask you to v. get on the spot to pass the card again but in the end tell you to come back another time. Sincerely knew we would go elsewhere. If you have a lot of time to lose, you are in the right place! ZERO STARS !!!! I love this clinic. It’s professional super well organized modern and intimate. You don’t feel lost in the abyss of a giant hospital. Their entire facilities are brand new including the maternity Lasalle hopsital they are affiliated with. The receptionists (there are like 3-4 at all times) manage the entire operations and logistics of the clinic. They go straight to the point en ensure all procedures are followed to the T. Every time I present myself for the appointment they automatically book me the next one. They are not here to take long phone calls and answer everyone millions of general questions, however if you are patient enough you’ll get through. I did. My recommendation is come PREPARED. It’s your responsibility to ask and inquire on any additional set of concerns and question that may have come up in your head between 2 appointments. The medical team is there to ensure you are healthy and your baby is healthy they follow all their necessary questionnaires and then if all is ok they’re done. So I always make an effort to ask any additions questions I may have and they always always take their time answering everything. The maternity hospital is modern, you have your private room before during and after birth there is a bed for your husband to sleep in your private room. You can bring a doula and mid wife. They provide you with a birth plan and a lactation plan so that you can write out your preferences and desires. I rate this overall hospital/clinic 5/5 cuz I hear horror stories everywhere else and so far this place is perfect ????

My wife has been trying to get an appointment here FOR 6 MONTHS. Finally in JANUARY 2018 she gets one for JUNE 2018, only to be called in MAY 2018 that her Doctor decided to take vacation time for a month and the next available time slot is END of JULY 2018. Edit: I've returned there to be followed for another pregnancy and must stay the telephone system has drastically improved and wait times are nill. Dr. Dontigny is fantastic. I'll be coming here for the rest of my days! The doctors are wonderful and truly care. You have to wait awhile for your appointment, but that's because the doctors are so attentive. When its your turn, you aren't rushed or dismissed. The phonecalls are also difficult,but for the care you receive I really enjoy it. It is a larger clinic, so it is r super intimate, but still wonderful.

The doctors and staff are very nice, and I was very happy with the medical attention. I felt I was in good hands during my delivery. However, getting in touch with this centre is extremely difficult. Many times I have waited on hold for 20 minutes, only to have the call end without talking to anyone. I've tried confirming appointments when I didn't receive a confirmation email, and the call would just drop after the menu because there was no one available to take it. I would say if you ever imagine you'll have to reschedule an appointment, or call them for any reason, you may want to look elsewhere, despite the excellent medical care.

When I am King

On our 4th appointment with my wife's OB we waited over 2hrs passed out appointment yo see the doctor. When we asked during out weigh in about thr wait times we were told that it's always a minimum of an hr wait and that if we've been seen sooner than that prior, "we were lucky." Well all three previous appointments were less than an hour wait for the entire ordeal. I found it insulting to be lied to. In fact, at the weigh in we eere told that there were 4 peoplr ahead of us, but i lost could at 7 people ahead of us and do believe we were being punished for conplaining. Worst experience to date.

At each appointment I waited on average 1: 30-2 hours which is very painful in the advanced stages of pregnancy especially considering that the chairs are packed on top of each other to the maximum (same comfort as a plane ). The worst, however, is the reception: every other time, secretaries use no courtesy, no hello or smile. On several occasions, they were irritated to answer my questions. Worse still, when we call the clinic, we are told that it is possible to talk to a nurse who is on site for an urgent matter. Since the nurse was absent, I left several messages .... to realize that the service in fact no longer exists and that no one takes the messages! I was then told that this service had not been operational for more than a year. Unacceptable given that it is a service called emergency and that many future parents have had to wait in vain to receive a call from the invisible nurse. The clinic should at least modify the message on the voicemail to advise that the service no longer exists. À chaque rendez-vous j'ai attendu en moyenne 1:30-2 heures ce qui est très pénible dans les stades avancés de la grossesse surtout considérant que les chaises sont tassées les unes sur les autres au maximum (même confort qu'un avion). Le pire cependant est l'accueil: 1 fois sur deux, les secrétaires n'utilisent aucune courtoisie, pas de bonjour ou de sourire. À plusieurs reprises, elles ont été irritées de répondre à mes questions. Pire encore, lorsqu'on appelle la clinique, on nous indique qu'il est possible de parler à une infirmière qui est sur place pour une question urgente. Puisque l'infirmière était absente, j'ai laissé plusieurs messages.... pour me rendre compte que le service en fait n'existe plus et que personne ne prend les messages!!! On m'a alors avoué que ce service n'était plus opérationnel depuis plus de 1 an. Inacceptable compte tenu qu'il s'agit d'un service dit d'urgence et que plusieurs futurs parents ont du attendre en vain de recevoir un appel de l'infirmière invisible. La clinique devrait minimalement modifier le message sur la boite vocale pour aviser que le service n'existe plus.

I am trying calling since Friday as i need my results of the screening test i had 8 weeks ago! Nobody picks up the phone and they hung up on us. Please give explanations as this is unacceptable. Je m’attendais à un suivi plus « humain » ou on nous expliquerait à quoi s’attendre au courant des différents rdv. Une chance qu’internet existe et que je peux faire mes recherches par moi même. Mais je trouve ça quand même décevant, surtout pour une première grossesse. On a vraiment l’impression d’être un numéro.

Terrible customer service from the reception. No matter what time you call to book an appointment, you are on hold for at least 15min, and that is if they pick up and dont hang up on you. After the several hours I've spent waiting to speak to someone over the year, I have realized the receptionists are the worst people to help you. They can never find an appointment for you nor try to be flexible in providing another doctor if you need to come in sooner. The doctors are great, I've dealt with at least 4 in the clinic, however the front line staff on the phone and in person are so unhelpful and rude that it's not worth going to this clinic. Unless you are giving birth at Lasalle Hosptial, I would suggest finding another Gyno with better reception. During covid times you are dealing more with phone calls, and the receptions job is to also make you feel at ease when you are pregnant, not stress you out more by hanging up on you or not offering you service.

What a horrible experience. If you are pregnant, especially for the first time, avoid this place. I was assigned to Dr Fortin. I came to my appointment with a list of questions, and obviously concerned about being pregnant during COVID. Dr Fortin came in, rushed the appointment, gave me no straight-forward answers to any of my questions, dropped a bunch of paperwork on me, said Baiiieeeee! and left me in the room. She also seemed to be experiencing difficulty speaking in English to me and I felt like her attitude changed the moment she realized that I'm Anglophone... When I called the clinic to request a change of doctor, leaning on the fact that there is a language barrier and that the doctor struggled to understand me and answer my questions, I was refused. They said that they don't discriminate and don't do transfers, unless I personally speak to the doctor myself and ask her to transfer me to someone else, and IF (!) she agrees they will transfer me. I said that I don't care if my doctor is male or female, black or white, old or young - what I care about is understanding the information I'm being given and being understood by my doctor. The secretary said "It's either you talk to her yourself or you go to another clinic - I'M GIVING YOU A HINT HERE..." I felt very discouraged. Luckily, I met a woman who works at the Gyno department at the Brunswick Medical Centre - I got an appointment in no time, and now am being taken care of by wonderful Dr. Kawerk, who brought the magic back to my pregnancy. He was surprised I came without my husband, and after I told him that the other clinic prohibited my husband from coming with me, he told me that they lifted that restriction already and to make sure to bring him with me next time. In the meantime, Lasalle still insists on you coming alone... Calling the Lasalle Centre to cancel my appointment was a thing of its own: 20 minutes on hold, the lady picks up and when I greet her in English, she hangs up on me. Next 20 minutes of waiting and poking through the automated system, she picks up again and just transfers me to another lady who is not even at the desk. I left a message telling them to cancel my appointment and close my file. Bye, Felicia.... Maybe you will have better luck with a different doctor from that clinic. But my experience was far from pleasant, they were not understanding. and didn't really care about what you need.

Stay as far away from this place as possible. This is, by far, the worst customer services out there. Pregnancy being one of the most significant milestones in one’s life, being considered as a mere number in a list of patients by all staff and almost every appointed doctor is unacceptable. If that wasn’t enough, punctuality in their scheduling is mostly random. Which means that instead of letting their patients know in advance that they would be running late, they let 30+ weeks women stand there for hours. Once it’s finally your turn, they fast-forward your appointment in less than 5min, which kind of makes you wonder why you came by in the first place. @biron: Please, for the sake of all, do hire some real humans, and review your entire patient care process.

De plus, la médecin que j'ai eu au départ était très sympathique et semblait très compétente mais elle a quitté pour un congé de maternité, tres comprenable, elle je lui aurait donner un 5 étoileS . On m'a transféré à une autre médecin à la même clinique. Elle était toujours très pressé de me voir partir, j'ai déjà eu un rendez vous de 5 minutes. Après des test sanguins, je reçoit un message d'une clinique que je ne connait pas pour un suivi de grossesse. J'appel la clinique, c'est un clinique de grossesse à risque qui ne peut pas me dire ce que j'ai au téléphone. Je parle donc à l'infirmière de mon medecin qui s'excuse d'avoir transférer mon dossier sans que mon médecin puisse m'en parler avant mais que ma condition était pas trop grave. Ensuite, j'ai demander un billet médical car j'avais un examen à passer à l'université et qu'il etait interdit de sortir de la salle de classe. J'étais a 7 mois et je faisais pipi au 10 minutes. On me dit qu'elle ne fait pas de billet medical pour ça de me référer à mon médecin de famille et si jen ai pas d'aller à l'urgence. (!!!!! Urgence pour un billet médical attestant que je suis enceinte et que je dois faire pipi!!!!!!) Ce n'est pas tout, la goutte qui fait déborder le vase, soyez bien assis. J'avais une infection vaginal, elle me rencontre, fais les prélèvements et ne prescrit un antibiotique. J'ai aussi un probleme de thyroïde(raison pour laquelle j'étais suivi aussi par la clinique de grossesse à risque) Après vérification sur internet, le medicament est contre indiquer pour les hypo thyroide et pour les grossesses ???? j'appel pour dire que je ne suis pas à l'aise de prendre le médicament, l'infirmière me répond bêtement que si le doc m'a donner c'est que c'est bon. Jai demander s'il avait eu les résultats du laboratoire, me répond non mais que si je veux je peux attendre avant de prendre le médicament. Deux jours plus tard, on m'appel pour me dire que j'ai bien fait de pas prendre le médicament que j'ai autre chose. Bref, j'imagine que ça dépend du docteur mais mon expérience est très négative et pour mon deuxième j'irais pas à cette clinique.

I called on Monday to have an appointment , waited about 6 minutes max and the secretary was very kind to me, took all my info and told me to wait to be called during the week. On Thursday I received the expected call, it was another nice lady that provided me all the information I needed and gave me my appointment. I still haven't met my future Dr. yet but so far I think they are doing a great job even though is high season. Also, the receptionists is quite bizarre. A couple weeks ago I called to make and appointment. When I found out I was pregnant ( first time ) I had no clue what to do. I heard about the clinic and when I called for an appoitment the receptionist I spoke to was very kind, explained a little of what to expect during the first appointment and how to prepare my self in the meantime, beeing as they only set up appointments between 10 - 14 weeks. She was very patient with me. And during my first appointment there was about an hour wait time but all the nurses are super friendly and they take their time explaining everything regarding the pregnancy. Beautiful clinic, very clean and new. Proper spacing and distancing is practiced. I didn’t really have any issues with being put on hold over the phone, as my previous clinic had even worse hold times compared to here, which I think should be expected and pretty normal with our current world situation going on . The receptionist was very polite over the phone and in person. I walked into my appointment shortly after arriving. Dr. Dontigny was really polite and had a very welcoming vibe. First off, I want to say this review in no way reflects my doctor. I love my doctor. He is always kind and patient and very good. This review is based on how hard it is to get an appointment or actually speak to someone on the phone including their nurse. I needed to see my doctor for a check up and some prescription renewals and I have waited over 3 hours over a course of 4 phone calls to make this appointment. I was either on hold so long i needed to go back to work , or I was simply hung up on. No matter what time , what day I cannot get through. there is no other means of contacting them. They are behind in the times. At least get some system that we can go online to schedule with our doctor ourselves. In the end I had to ask my pharmacist to refill and he contacted my doctor who gave me another 12 months. I really hope they get with the times.

Plusieurs mésaventures la bas mais la pire étant mon rdv avec Mde Fortin (Gynécologue)J'avais 15 min de retard du a un malaise a mon travail, au lieu d'Attendre quelques minutes comme nous faisons a chaque fois pour eux, et bien madame Fortin a décidé de finir sa journée a 16h sans honorer son rdv... Enceinte de 7 mois j'ai fais 2h A/R de transport pour rien.

Terrible receptionist. Waited almost 30 minutes on hold to speak to someone and when I finally got through, the receptionist had no idea what I was talking about. My doctor referred me to this clinic for a specific test, and I had to keep repeating that along with the test name to the receptionist, who kept putting me on hold to ask questions to her supervisor. Finally, she couldn't even confirm the price of the test for me, even though it's considered a private test that has to be paid out of pocket. Needless to say, I will be providing feedback to my doctor to stop referring patients to this place. I don't know how they're still in business with such poor service.

Whoever is in charge of the Administrative department at this clinic should probably read this. I am 5 and a half weeks pregnant with my first, and I called this clinic to book an appointment. The first time I called was before I got pregnant and it was simply to ask if a doctor would see me before or after I conceived. I spoke to the receptionist and when I told her I was not yet pregnant but planning to, she started raising her voice and told me “you need to understand that you cannot come here or be seen by a doctor unless you have a positive pregnancy test... do you understand that??!!! Do you understand what I am telling you??!!” I found this to be completely uncalled for and rude, as I was perfectly calm and had just asked her a few questions prior to her “blowing up”. The second time I called was after I found out I was pregnant. I think I spoke to the same receptionist because she started off with the exact same rude tone as the previous time I had called. I booked my first appointment and she took down all of my information. Then I started asking her general questions like; what would my first visit entail, when would my first ultrasound be etc. She then started to tell me that I only have my first ultrasound at 20 weeks, which I found very odd seeing as every single person I know that has been pregnant has had their first ultrasound between 10 and 14 weeks. I asked her why that was and if it was possible to book it sooner. I thought it was only natural to want to see my baby on camera! She then started arguing with me and telling me that it’s like this everywhere and that I wasn’t allowed to be picky. Afterwards she started informing me about the prenatal testing, and the way she spoke about it made me very worried. I am still sick to my stomach thinking about it, for that matter. After the conversation was done I was left feeling sick, worried, and stressed. I don’t think that someone like this should be dealing with pregnant women. I found her to be completely rude and disrespectful. Her tone of voice spoke a million words and generally I am the type of person to pick my battles, which is why I didn’t even bother to tell her how I felt. I found another clinic to follow me during my pregnancy, which have been WONDERFUL so far. Not one ounce of “attitude” or making me feel stupid for asking questions, which is how any normal front desk clerk should be. Now I have been trying to cancel my appointment at the other clinic for the last week and every time I try to call (which is every day), the line is busy and you can’t leave a voicemail… Very hard to reach them. If you don’t want added stress, I strongly suggest you look elsewhere before going to this clinic.

As everyone mentions, there are always issues with the call wait times, and it can get pretty frustrating. However, I had an incident during an appointment that required me to stay put for about an hour because I was feeling very unwell. My doctor, Dr. Dontigny, was so kind and would check-up on me between patients to make sure I was doing ok. I didn't feel rushed out of there, and she had one of the nurses check in on me at all times until I left. I'd say my doctor is worth suffering through those hold times.

I am far along in my pregnancy and though I like the Dr that follows me at this clinic, I don't intend on showing up to my next appointment. Il y a 3 longues journées que j'appelle à différentes heures pour me faire raccrocher, après une attente parfois de 45 minutes, par une voix enregistrée me disant que PERSONNE ne peut me répondre! Je viens de lire les commentaires des autres patientes et je suis contente de ne pas être enceinte mais, par contre, j'angoisse car j'ai peut-être un cancer. Cette situation dure depuis quelques années déjà. C'est triste, désastreux...et j'en passe!!!! Je me demande si le Dr.Fortin est au courant!!!!! Je viens de découvrir que vous pouvez les contacter par la page Facebook. On vous répond mais j'attends leur appel...alors....

Called, called, transferred, hung up on, wait for call back, yadda, rinse & repeat! Then finally got through. But things did not turn around unfortunately. She called me a "foreigner" (yes, really...) that they wouldnt treat, as I'm from Ontario and its too complicated for them to "make adjustments". Tax money well spent! Followed by, verbatim, "not my fault you live in 2 places". Thanks...

I rarely write reviews. This is by no means a comment on my Dr, who is wonderful! I had an amazing experience with her and with giving birth at Lasalle. But it’s REALLY, REALLY hard to get through to them to get an appointment!!!! It’s SO frustrating, bordering on unacceptable!!! I am always on hold for a long time. When I do finally get through, I get some run around answer I.e. my doctors schedule isn’t out yet. Sometimes I’m put on hold and hung up on. It took me numerous calls (at least 5) and probably over 2 hours of my time total to finally get through to them to make a much-needed appointment. Is that reasonable? No!! Please do something about this, as your doctors are so wonderful!

The worst. Called 3 times today and stayed on the line for 30 mins and noone picked up the first time. Sexind time, receptionist hung up without even waiting on a hello. At 5 oclock on the dot after another 30 mins, the line cut off. After reading all these comments, I wouldn't trust my pregnancy to this unreliable clinic.

If any government officer is looking into this, please read. The Doctors in Montreal are surprisingly good for most of the time, but I don't get that why receptionist and nurses are so rude and lazy. After waiting for long time when someone picks up call they don't even bother replying, just puts phone on the side or transfer somewhere without listening. Its like we are not even dealing with human. We have been keep trying but it looks like impossible to book an appointment or even spek to sensible person. May be time to privatize these jobs instead of freaking dancing on the whim of these union workers..

FIrst, they say they are open at 8:30am. however they don't turn on the phone until 10am. and once you do get a ring, you're waiting 15 minutes before an answer and when they do answer they put you on hold for another 20 minutes. Second, the receptionist is very rude, she has this almighty complex, after keeping me waiting for then 30 minutes she has the nerve to tell me to call back once because I have her wait for 1 minute to get the information she asks for. If you can, avoid this place, it is absolutely the worst. I would say make an appointment just in case but once a better place is found, cancel it. Disappointed that this is what things have come to, customer service no long matters.
