You must have seen that it reaches an opinions average is very weak, and it's based on a very large number of feddbacks, so we can conclude that the score is quite credible. If many people have bothered to give their opinion when they are pleased, it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to set opinions when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Doctor belongs to the category of General practitioner.
Excellent patient care at very convenient hours.
Brett is one of the few lucky ones who got a good experience at this clinic. As for me, its been a mix experience. The interactions with the administrative staff has mostly been a pain. On my last telephone conversation I had to remind the other end that she sounded really rude and just limit the talk on resolving the issue rather than educating the clients over the phone. I would say its a 50-50 chance of a getting good response with the administrative staff. Flip a coin for making the call to the clinic. If they don't pick the phone don't bother trusting the message. They won't call you back. If you manage to get a call back- consider yourself lucky. Thanks Yeah!!! I got Lucky today! Jan07,2020 I was going without meds for weeks now. So, I called n' Linda @ the office picked up the phone. She is such a charm to talk to. Thank u Linda!
I have been a patient of Phoenix Healthcare, former Weber Medical Centre for quite some time. I have never experienced any of the issues other reviewers have noted with regards to the office staff. I have always had a friendly, efficient experience with them. However, the turnover of doctors is unbelievable. Our family doctor has changed no fewer than 5 times in less than decade. It's impossible to develop a trusting relationship with your doctor when they are constantly changing, which creates an awkward, unfriendly "walk in clinic" vibe, which is ironic considering how incredibly irritated they get when you visit an actual walk in clinic.
Extremely bad experience , waited months to get the appointment. Very bad experience from the staffs so I never recommend this place.
I would not recommend this place to anyone!!!! They do not care about patients and they are not professional at all! They leave sick people to fend for themselves in the middle of Covid! If I could give them 0 stars I would. So, if you care about your health do not go here!!!
Dr Shyiani is wonderful. I am a vet with PTSD and she was very understanding and knowledgeable. I am happy I found her an recommend if you do source a doctor, ask for her.
Beyond unprofessional. Noon appointment and he walks in to the office after noon and has to take someone before. What sort of professional is this? Avoid at all costs, literally emerg at the hospital would be quicker.
I've had asthma for 24 years. Options were go in and talk to the doctor or have the pharmacist fax over prescription then they fax their end back to pharmacy for a $20 fee. After 2 days they stated they never got the fax. 3rd day I called back and they informed me they received it and faxed to the doctor. 7th day of waiting I call back and receptionist said they would look into it. 8th day I called back they said there's nothing they could do because they faxed it. 9th day I was unable to get ahold of anyone within the office after multiple calls. Call pharmacy and they state they've received nothing and there's a shortage of my medication and they advise me to go to the walk-in. Immediately go to walk-in and within an hour I recieve my medication. Nobody should have to go through this to get their medication regardless of the severity of their condition. Will never set foot in that building again. Horrible experience.
Very 1st appointment was a phone in. They forgot. Then the dr wanted me to come in on a Saturday. A Saturday?? Ok. I get a requisition for blood work, dr says they will contact me to come in to discuss. I wait 2 weeks after the bloodwork to hear back, nothing. I call to make an appointment. Phone in again, in 3 weeks. Fine. I call back 1 week later asking for an in person due to another issue, so they manage to get me in one whole day earlier. Day of the appointment, I get a msg that the dr has to cancel and I need to call back to rebook. 2 days I've been 'caller number one' for over 15 minutes on hold. Back to a doctor search.
1) Doctor was 15mins late, free chatting with others, until I stepped out of the examination room to leave. Very disrespectful of the patient’s time especially it was workdays. 2) She asked me 2 questions for 1 min and that’s it. We could do that over phone. Why was I requested to come? 3) you will always be asked to leave a message after waiting 20mins to get the phone answered
They can’t seem to keep any doctors in this clinic. First Dr. Goel and then Dr. Parent. Two doctors in the course of two years with this place. Neither doctor really did much other than bill OHIP for their patients visits. Second time that they want me to have to pay to have my records transferred to a new doctor. I’d avoid this place like the plague! Understaffed, too many new patients, and substandard care and treatment.
I originally signed up for this Office when it was opening an office in St. Jacobs by the Market. It was identified as an FHO and you were able to make an appoint with any Doctor at any location, it was extremely convenient. I am not sure what changed, but I was assigned to a specific Doctor (And could only see this doctor) who lost their license and I am now assigned to a new Doctor (Who is now quitting Medicine apparently). I'm not really sure what to do, I was always satisfied with the staff and the attentiveness of the Doctors. I just wish I could be assigned a Doctor who is able to keep me on for more than a few years. Now I feel I'll be out on the street looking for a Doctor if they can't find a replacement.
We had a pretty bad experience here and changed our family doctor and centre.
After not being able to find a family doctor for several years I was really pleased that they were taking on new patients. On average they are pretty good with flexibility and appointment times. Only downside is my doctor has "summer hours" which is really inconvenient since i work full time and would rather not call in sick
I can't actually rate how good the doctors are here, because i haven't actually had the opportunity to see one. I signed up for a family doctor through Healthcare connect, and was told the doctor would be joining the clinic in 2 weeks. When I called in to try and book an appointment, was told they didn't have her schedule yet, and to call back in in a week. I have been calling back weekly for a month and a half, and have continued to be told that they don't have the doctor's schedule, and to try calling again on Monday. I found a different office, who booked an appointment for me on my first call. It's felt very unprofessional, and overall been a frustrating experience.
Almost all of our appoints get rescheduled. My son has gotten behind on shots because Dr Sardar is never in on days he has patients booked. Stop punishing patients for the ineptitude of your doctors
The staff are overall very sweet and friendly, and my psychiatrist there is amazing; I'm now in the process of switching family doctors because the one I have is awful. The only problem I have with this office, is that they rarely, if ever, answer phone calls...and I leave messages, and then it takes them some time to get back. Not the best if I need a same day appointment...but other than that, I'm excited to be seeing my new doctor.
While it can be very difficult to get a hold of them (I think it took me 6 phone calls to get on the line with a receptionist), my actual experience at my appointment was positive. Within 20 minutes I was checked in, had my appointment, and booked a follow up. Dr. Parent was kind, attentive, and was able to answer all of my questions.
Pathetic service and pathetic staff, if there was anything under 1 star I would have rated that. We were warned before that this is not a good choice for family doctor but since we had no choice we had to take it. But now i think i am better without a family doctor thab having them!!! DO NOT GO THERE
Without any exaggeration, some staff there have communication issues. I was caught in the middle of a lot of back and forth emails between my GP and an specialist and asked the staff to check something with my GP, I was told I should either book my GP or go to the specialist again with less than a friendly tone ending in "...IS THAT CLEAR?". If I didn't have to deal with them, I would have defo taken my business somewhere else!
Reception staff need better training. They put you on hold for a long time without even asking if you'd like to wait on hold. They clearly have staffing issues.
CAN NOT GET TO THE RECEPTIONIST ON PHONE. The recorded messages just takes you in circles. How the heck are we supposed to talk to someone?
Currently looking for a new doctor because I'm never treated fairly at this healthcare centre. My appointments are always cancelled, but I'm never told directly. They call a family member instead of me, when they have nothing to do with my appointments. It's pretty disrespectful to not contact their clients directly. In the office itself, there's been a few issues. I've been with my mother to the clinic since it was easier to carpool the two of us in one day, and she was marked as no-show when she had been sitting in the clinic for over an hour. They had checked her in and yet still ignored her until the doctor was about to leave, in which case she was rushed. The doctor never lets me finish my sentences and tends to talk over me. She's also scolded my mother for coming in for a prescription renewal and a general check up, saying that her medications (which she needs to function as she has a disability) aren't important enough and there's "more sick" people out there. That's extremely unprofessional. She has also had my medical records for almost a year, yet hasn't taken a single look through them. When asked about my records before, she said she needs to "find them" because she "left them in a drawer somewhere". A part of being a doctor means you need to know what I've been treated for in the past, not ignoring your patients like they're an inconvenience! We're always early and never miss appointments, yet we're treated terribly and considerably rushed whenever appointments are made. I do not recommend this clinic to anyone who wants a doctor that actually cares about their patients.
So I have been looking for a family doctor for years I was so excited when I got doctor shyani, well all I can say is I got better service from walk in clinics, I can never get a appointment and no ever answers the phone, I leave msgs and they never get returned. Last night I called the after hour clinic and told them I am in Crisis I need to see a doctor, I was told they will leave a msg for the moring staff to call asap and would not give me an appointment, well I never got the phone call today and no one answered the phones when I called through the day. What does a person have to do to talk to the doctor. I have Severe mental health problems and to be ignored when in crisis cause of med change the doctor made is horrible, I do not recommend this clinic at all if you actually need to see or talk to a doctor.
The worst office I have ever dealt with in regards to getting an appointment booked...called six times and couldn't get through, left two messages over two weeks that were not returned. Doctors are reasonably good when seen, but office is run incredibly poorly.
Was lucky enough to be assigned to Dr. Bhatty’s practice when the group was accepting new patients three years ago. Have almost always been able to see him at the Frederick St and Northfield locations, depending on where he was working that day. Have twice seen the NP, and have used the after hours service as needed with rotating doctors. Have had no issues, even getting same day services, or being fit in during the week for an urgent referral, and at my most recent visit received an immunization actually given personally by Dr. Bhatty. (I was nervous and almost asked for a nurse, because let’s be real about who’s got more experience here, but he did just fine.) It can be frustrating to navigate the front desk, sure - but honestly the phone rings constantly while I’m there. They’re busy. It’s not personal. I’ve only received patience and respect from any of the women at the desk. They’re just busy.
Many reasons, for starters let's try basic scheduling. As one example: booked an appointment for 9:10 am, when I arrive they say the doctor isn't in. Then why let me schedule that time? Follow up to book an appointment for 2:45 pm; somehow they thought 4:10 pm would be better without updating me, nor did they mention they changed the time when I arrived before 2:45. During the hour and a half I waited there were many upset patients getting rude responses from staff, many simply leaving out of frustration rather than continuing to engage. To be fair, the doctor visit wasn't bad and they sympathized with the aforementioned lack of competence.
Just went in for a face to face Apt., got there, dr. Wasn't in and would call me on my cell. Drove home, 15 min ,no call on cell but message on landlibe to make another phone Apt This is not the first time I've had issues with this clinic
First visit yesterday. Dr. Shayani was great, patient and knowable. Great and very polite staff. Happy family to have Dr. Shayani as our new family doctor. Silvijo Vricic
Worst experience with Doctors and staff
Great Office, doctors and staff! Wouldnt go anywhere else for my health!
Go to any other walk-in clinic instead of this. Never seen any unprofessional staff . Not to mention they are rude and behave that they are doing favour to you.
Whenever me or my wife call we end up waiting for 30 minutes only to get to the front of the queue and then be told to leave a message. Every time I need to refill my Asthma medication they prolong the refill to the point where we've had to have multiple emergency refills done by the Pharmacist. I haven't seen my "family" doctor for years at this point. This place is not where you want to go for any medical help.
This doctor's office has to be a joke. The receptionist is horrible. They speak to you with distaint, not super helpful and talk at you. I made a doctor's appointment to go through my bloodwork, it took 1 week 3 calls to discuss my bloodwork with my doctor. This was after my phone number was changed twice to my husband's and once to a phone number that wasn't either of ours. The next is I was referred to a specialist that unfortunately is in the same office which means I get to deal more with the same admin. My script that I was suppose to start on a Thursday never reached the pharmacy but it was the wrong pharmacy to boot and then the staff has every excuse in the book and blamed the specialist and pharmacy why they didn't have the script. If that was me I'd be apologizing and calling the pharmacy to explain to them how or where the script was sent. This is not a patient's problem. So I did their job. I have never dealt with unprofessional, unfriendly and bare minimum people in my life. I work in the same field and I could never treat my patients like this, I'd be fired. Now my husband has had some messed up stuff happen too at this office. When a patient calls to book an appointment to follow up about tests before you book make sure the office and doctor has the tests available in the chart for the appointment. Don't say well it's the patients job, nooooooo it your job that why you are admin staff and you get paid for. So that was a waste of an appointment. Btw they did have the tests it just wasn't in the chart, after they said they didn't have it. Disorganized!!he was called 3 times within a 15 min span to book an appointment for the follow up. Then the next "real" follow up appointment had the test results and stuff but the doctor came in to the appointment with the wrong patient name and results. And my husband was stunned that the doctor gave another patient's name, results of some sensitive info and let him look at his chart of that person to confirm name....I'm just flabbergasted with this whole office. Boggles my mind!
My doctor is a great man always helpful and he cares thank you Dr. Bhatty
HORRENDOUS Doctor's Office...if you even can call it that... My husband has been a patient here for about 8 years and he has seen his actual family doctor (NOT THE NURSE PRACTIONER) MAYBE 4 TIMES. How is this possible!! I have to call numerous times to get my husband's inhaler filled and the pharmacy needs to send the fax several times. It takes DAYS to get any sort of prescription refill, and if they give you a refill, it's ONE. My husband has had asthma his ENTIRE life and they never give him more than 2 inhalers, so I'm calling again in a couple months. It's a vicious cycle of phones ringing with no answers and lack of compassion or concern for ANY of their patients. DO NOT GO HERE!
Terrible I had an appointment yesterday and she was expecting a patient she knew. She sounded like she understood me then forgot to send my prescription and then when she did she called later to tell them to deny it to me. I have yet to be told as to why. So unprofessional. She couldn't even remember my name when talking to pharmacist
If you are looking for any treatment or medical help go to nearest walk in clinic. Never recommened this place.people who works here really unprofessional and no responsibility for anything. We got an appointment at 9.30 and we were wait for long time and no one respond. We called them back there is no response. Iam wondering how they run a family clinic like this.I gave zero rating out of 5.
This review is in regards to Dr. Mohamed in particular, but my negative experience may be in part the fault of the receptionists. I had an appointment to get forms filled out in June, and due to some emergency situation they got pushed back another month. When I came in to have the appointment, they did not have the required data to fill out my forms AND they had booked me for an incorrect time slot out of negligence (they even admitted it). So the appointment got pushed back another month. BUT the forms are due before then! I complained but they said there was nothing they could do!! And It's my responsibility to try to get an extension on the due date arranged!!! When did doctors stop taking care of their patients? It honestly hurts my faith in our healthcare system and this country as a whole that things like this are allowed to happen without any consequence. The really sad thing is that my other two family doctors were even worse...
Dr. Shiv Shayani in phoenix healthcare center is the worst of the lot. I had no choice but to choose her as our family doctor as new patients were not accepted anywhere immediately in the middle of COVID. She books an appointment for me without me being informed and later claims it as a "no-show". How can a patient be expected to show-up when they are not aware of an appointment? The staff is not very helpful too. Although, there was one lady who responded well. Otherwise, this healthcare center is totally not recommended and Dr. Shayani is rude and inexperienced. Unable to give zero stars.
I got my family doctor here 2 years ago, but she moved to a hospital half a year ago, so I didn't have family doctor for a few months. It was pretty inconvenient, but I understood that it was a necessary step for the doctor and it happens. Finally they squished me under another doctor's practice at the same clinic, but only a few months later, she closed her practice, and I lost my family doctor again. After the first loss, they gave me an appointment for their after hours clinic, but now this time, they said they even can not give me any appointment and told me to go to the walk in clinic which is always a 2 hour wait, even though it was not my fault at all that I lost my family doctor twice in a half a year. I'm trying to find another clinic which is more responsible to their patients, I don't want to be a patient here again.
Very bad experience from the receptionists specially one lady in the front desk.very rude to the patients.never get appointment on time.I waited months to get the appointment. Disappointing.......
The worst!! Literally every time my wife and I have requested a referral or prescription, there is some kind of issue. For example, my wife had a bad reaction to a BP medication that Dr. Ali prescribed and when she called the office they refused to help. They said she would have to wait 2 months until the next available appointment??!!! There are just too many incidents to list but listen to these other reviews, you are better off to go to a walk in clinic. Sadly they can keep delivering this pathetic service and there is nothing we can do about it.
No immediate assistance, the operator goes on circle over and over again. No one there to help patients at all. How the hell to contact the office if there is no one to help or answer the phones....
Incredibly rude receptionist and I was on the phone for almost 30 minutes just trying to speak with a nurse..which they wouldn't allow! They said I'd have to make an appointment...which wasn't available for the next 2 weeks! If you're looking for a doctor look elsewhere!
Absolutely without a doubt the least professional doctors office I have ever dealt with. The reception staff at the waterloo location are horrendous! I have been calling for over 3 months and never once received a call back! After waiting on hold for quite some time I FINALLLY reached a rude and less than helpful receptionist who told me two times during the call "you are welcome to go to an emergency clinic if its an emergency" when I was disappointed to find out the doctors wont see patients in the mornings and cant commit to a half an hour time slot.. You are expected to set an appointment for the afternoon and then must be available an hour before till an hour after (1230-230) incase they are late or early... how is this helpful for people who work? When I expressed my discontent with the service, times available and professionalism of the clinic the receptionist offered to take me off the patient list..... RUDE. My doctor is lovely its a shame they have such awful people working in the office!
I have been with this clinic ever since it was located on Weber street. We first had Dr.Habib, who lost his medical license, then Dr.Bhatty who in my opinion is the best dr there, but then got switched once they moved to Dr.Goel who then up and left the clinic after a year and we were transferred to dr.parent who we just learned is also leaving the clinic now. In the span of 4 years we have had 4 doctors! This is extremely upsetting as my son and I need a doctor who is familiar with us and our conditions. We asked to switch back to bhatty but were told point blank that I'm better off just finding a different practice because they can't find a new doctor to replace the dr's leaving. There are a few of the front desk girls that have known us for the full 4 years and they are absolutely wonderful women and the nurses we have seen have all been fantastic. Giving 3 stars for the poor management of the clinic, long wait times and the constant doctor shuffle
We have a good doctor from this Center and receptionists have been doing good as a family doctor office, they are always busy.
Not great.
The doctor said she wouldn't help my son because he was a recovering addict and suffered from mental illness. I thought doctors are suppose to help with all physical and mental issues or at least refer a doctor who could help my son. What is this world coming to. No one cares about anyone who really needs help.
I wish I could give them 0 rating. So hard to reach / get apointment and even worse, even when you do get one, the doctor is always in a hurry to push you through especially my doctor Mohammed Ali. He is good when it comes to diagnosis, but his focus is on prescription only and getting you out fo there. Does not care to answer your queries, listen to your problems. We were first time parents, and had so many queries on what to do / what not to do during pregnancy and my wife was having nausea and weakness. We expected proper counseling, but that was not what we got. We are definately going to switch to another Family doctor.
Very friendly and polite staff, specially Retu and Fatima .
Doctors are great. The reception staff are inept. Was supposed to be referred to a specialist, they called me 3 weeks before the referral apt. To let me know it had been cancelled, yet they never called me to lete know about the apt. time and date! Got the information from the doctor himself! Told the reception this (very poor communication skills). She informed me that they don't call until the month before the apt time. Well. They got that referral in March! And 3 weeks before the apt they call and tell me it was cancelled? But never let me know when the date was. So now I have to wait again for a specialist for a diagnosed illness that has now been left untreated for over a year because they can't get their act together! Very very poor clinic management and service to patients. The doctors are great. Need way better staff.
The worst experience I ever had. My partner was referred to this clinic via Healthcare Connect, registered with them, and was promised to be called back for a checkup. This never happened. Three month(!) later, we phoned the clinic to make an appointment with Dr. Mohammed - who he was connected with. We phoned to follow up on a cardiac emergency after an ER visit, and to remind them to schedule a general checkup. The clinic scheduled an appointment in three weeks time, moreover they scheduled it as a phone appointment. How is this reasonable to schedule someone's intake appointment, which should have a general checkup, and after an ER visit over the phone? Moreover, when the day arrived we received a call, at which the phone rang two-three times and went to voice-mail -- the doctor has left a message to call the clinic to "reschedule appointment" - no opportunity to call back. When we tried calling the clinic - the receptionist offered to reschedule a month(!) later, and moreover wanted to charge us a "no show" fee. We are going to go to a walk-in. Avoid this awful place.
I am struggling to speak with anyone. Phone is unanswered and timings are so weird.
The most horrible and unprofessional staff I have ever experienced in my life. My taxpayer dollars are paying for this??!! Unconscionable! They induce health issues with their rudeness and total lack of responsibility or sense of patient care. After several visits, I have no choice but to look for another doctor.
I would never recommend this place to anyone. Everyone there is not only rude but condescending to everyone. While trying to get a renewal on a prescription from one of the doctors we were told twice so at that a memo had Ben sent to him. Still waiting!!!!!! We have been given nothing but excuse after excuse. To us we are feeling that our rights to our healthcare.
I am on my 4th doc from here ( previously Weber Medical) and I want out. Unprofessional. Never see a doc, always a nurse. Went in with a unexplained pain and she didn't even look at it. Said take your prescription and ice it. Had a blank face, made me prompt for answers. I ask if the pain persist when should I come back? She shrugged her shoulders and said 4 weeks? Are you asking me? Better off going to a clinic or emerg...at least they care
My husband has cardiomyopathy. He had a really bad cough and I phoned his doctor at 99 Northfield Dr East, Waterloo. He ordered an x-ray and a couple of days later my husband's pharmacy called and said there was a prescription there for him. It was for antibiotics. No one called from the doctor's office to let us know. The medication was for 7 days. His cough didn't seem right after that and I called to see if he could have another x-ray to be sure everything was ok. I got voice mail and the day after a lady called from the doctor's office and said she would get back to me the next day which of course she didn't. I called & left messages a couple more times and have never heard from the office. A person could die in their care. This is so unprofessional. I would definitely not recommend that office.
Not impressed at all. I booked an appointment, came by taxi, was told that there wasn't an appointment for me. Now I've got to go by taxi, come back for another appointment then go home again by taxi.....total waste of time and money...
I’ve been calling many times to cancel my appointment but it’s always the voice operator and no one is answering the phone. How can I cancel my appointment then? Specially now that I have my kids and I don’t have car to go to the clinic and cancel it personally. It’s stressing me.
The most unprofessional medical office I’ve ever been to. They change appointment times and then refuse to acknowledge that the error might have been theirs. They share personal information from other people files. They lose information from your own file. I took the time to speak to the doctor about my concerns with the unprofessional conduct of the front desk. She merely defended them. She was clearly exasperated with me and pretty much huffed me off the phone and told me my time was up and I had to call to make another appointment. Two hours put aside of my day to accommodate her schedule, but I was not allowed to go over my allotted time to address obvious concerns. My care now compromised because of their staff. When I spoke to the front desk directly about my frustration, they spoke to me in a sickly condescending tone, refused to acknowledge any wrong doing on their part, and kept offering me over and over again to leave the clinic. By the end of the conversation I was so angry with the manner in which I was being spoken to that I finally said yes, I would not be returning. Same with my husband - they spoke to him about my decision to leave (they made that decision for me, but should not have been talking to him about it) and then kept offering him the same - he was welcome to leave the clinic if he wanted to. It’s like they are pushing the patients away on purpose. He then heads to the front desk and hears them trashing and gossiping about other patients. There’s a serious staffing issue at this clinic that the doctors are obviously choosing to ignore. I now am without a family doctor and will be using a walk in simply because my privacy and dignity has been compromised at this clinic. Doesn’t say too much for the doc that we used to have that was apparently joining this practice and dumped her patients into this clinic. We were told that we would still be able to see her there - I don’t see that doctor here now. She likely didn’t want the unprofessional conduct of this clinic to tarnish her reputation. When calling around to find a doctor accepting new patients, I was told over and over that Phoenix is accepting new patients. No wonder why the have room on their roster. Stay away - the frustration far outweighs the care at this clinic.
Waited on the phone for 10 minutes as I was the 9th caller in line, only to be told to leave a message. Terrible service!
It was a terrible experience, I asked the receptionist to bring my newborn for weight check and she said no. The doctor always is in hurry and wants to go from the beginning he enters the room. The receptionist are not understanding and helpful.
My Dr. Has shown nothing but compassion and has done a great job addressing any concern i have had. The receptionists are a group of lovely ladies who have bent over backwards for myself. I always leave smiling and a feeling of at ease. To the woman that says they had turned her away because she had to wait 10 minutes?? Show up earlier like everyone else does and understand that when it comes to medical offices sometimes patients have unforseen concerns that take longer than others. It is hard to estimate a time that a patient will take. Derp
Waited for 15 mins on the phone , no one answered
