I’d have to say I’m extremely disappointed. Im currently 28 weeks pregnant and have missed my past two appointments, even though I’ve confirmed the time with the front desk staff. The first time I was a day early, the second time I was a day late - neither time was I contacted. After the second time, I became very uneasy and requested to speak with my doctor. I waited a week with no response, so I called again requesting a check in as I’m ending my second trimester. I was assured I’d be contacted. Still no response. I just got off the phone with a staff member there saying she will let me doctor know, but it’s up to the doctor to reach out to me. Confused? Me too. I’m unsure as to why I’ve had to wait two weeks to get a response from my doctor. I ended up calling Kingston Family Health and they advised me to at least be seen by someone, which I was. They have also given me some outlets in case this happens again. To be honest, if this had to do with anything except for the check up of my unborn child, I wouldn’t feel as disappointed or uneasy as I do right now. I may be back to update this review if I’m contacted in a timely manner. If not, I’ll have to stand by my concerns as a pregnant mother who feels a little neglected when it comes to the priority of my unborn baby’s check ups. I highly advise an audit of the check in, check up and contact procedures. This will in turn avoid any internal disruption or patient upset when it comes to their trust in the health care system.

I have loved both Dr.Mitchell and Dr.Fredrickson, though they are difficult to make appointments with, due to only booking 2 days in advance, I find my biggest issue is with the office staff. I have been treated very poorly, including a time they ignored me standing in line, waiting to be checked in, to the point where they cancelled my appointment saying I was late!! (I was stood in line for 15 minutes). Then in speaking to the Office Manager, I received no sincerity whatsoever. I often wait around to get a hold of the admin staff during their very brief hours of answering the phone throughout the day, only to find that the line is "busy" well after 9 am. My boyfriend goes here as well and shares the same frustrations.

I have only had to visit this after hours clinic 3 times in the past 10 years. When checking to see their hours for today, I was surprised to see that their rating is so low. I have always been treated well there in the past by all of the staff. I was treated well again today. I am so glad that they are there when I need them.

The receptionists (yes, two!) watched me wander around aimlessly with very little signage to instruct people what to do. Finally another patient in the waiting room showed me the list I should put my name on. The signs all say patients will be served on a first come first serve basis. While I sat there I watched at least 4 people who arrived after I did, saw the doctor before I did. If there was some kind of triage, or vitals being taken I would appreciate this. I felt very rushed out the door by the doctor. I respect my family doctor may be a member of this health time but in no way shape or form do I have any intention of attending this clinic again.

How hard is it to manage a Telephone System?

I have been a patient for 36 years and when she had a small office. But since she moved to the new place the service is not the same. The front desk workers are rude when u call and I'm sorry if I call to make an appointment I should not have to tell them why. Getting in to see someone you are waiting a month or you are asked to call back the same day.

Overall good. Sometimes have to wait a while during cold season which is understandable. Last time I went there was no wait but I had the doctor tell me to not come back for the reason that I went to just book an appointment with my actual doctor but the reason why I went there was because I was unavailable during my doctor's normal hours and could only go in the evenings due to my job so I thought that was a little disrespectful.

My children and I have been patients since Maple Family Health team opened. Dr. Priesntiz has been wonderful in addressing any concerns I may have. She takes the time to listen and makes the necessary recommendations. She always thoroughly explains and investigates any health concerns. Her follow up has always been fantastic. The nurses and care staff have also been good. There have only been a couple instances with the receptionists and a med student that were less than optimal. But that happens, it was addressed and did not have any further issues.

I have been a patient there for a number of years and have always had wonderful service with Dr. Priesnitz,. When I had issues with my kidney she got me in to see a specialist without much of a waiting time, and the after hours clinic is a wonderful feature.

Showed up for after hrs clinic at 720, sign is up saying closed, last accept patient is 15min before closing at 8pm. Why was it closed!

I found the doctor quite dismissive. I explained my issues to her and she ignored most of what I had told her. I thought I had strep and I was having bad chest pains. She completely ignored my chest pains and told me I don’t have strep but took swabs anyway. I was very frustrated. She then prescribed me stomach pills which had nothing to do with any of my symptoms. I had to wait a week to see my actual doctor because this one was incompetent.

I was really surprised to see such awful, negative reviews! My family and I have been going to this clinic for quite a few years and we have gotten wonderful care. There is an after hours clinic just for maple patients. There is a lot of free parking. There is a ton of in-house services offered through the clinic instead of being redirected to this place or that. The scheduling process isn't horrible. I can usually get in a few days out or the next week or so depending on urgency- BUT we have the after hours clinic if I need it! Yes, the phone lines aren't that great (are any?).. it is disappointing that there isn't a baby change station, but we have lots to be grateful for. Attitude of gratitude, folks!

It's now to the point where I hate calling this place. They make you jump through hoops just to schedule an appointment. It's like they don't want to see you, they just want your name on their list so they get more funds from the government.

This clinic is an after hours clinic specifically for patients of The Reddendale Family Clinic. Wonderful staff and care. Excellent service but you can only go here if your Doctor is from the Reddendale clinic.

The receptionists here are absolutely horrible. They think they’re medical doctors and are completely ignorant and rude. They also won’t let you even make a virtual appointment with your doctor even if you’re prone to the same illness every year AND test negative for covid. I’ve been with this office forever, same with my whole family who also go here. We’ve all had issues over the years and are so sick and tired of it. I’ve never had problems with the doctors, only the reception part. If they hired different people, it would make a world a difference. Get your act together and stop giving misleading info to your patients. So frustrating.

Love the doctors within this office , not so much the front desk staff , rules have changed ( ok cool ) but the front desk staff , are rude. They speak to you in A condescending manner. They make you feel bad for asking to speak to your doctor personally, and they will bring up personal issues to others that aren’t their business , the only reason this place gets a three stars from me is the fact that I LOVE MY DR!!! this place HAS gone right down hill ! I miss dr yates and how he ran it !NOT ONLY THAT! I WAS TOLD RUDLY, I COULD BE DENIED SERVICES DUE TO A HEALTH-CARD THATS EXPIRED, Last time I checked it was still ok to not go and have your card renewed ! I don’t drive and can’t do it online ! So I guess they want me to risk covid to my newborn ! RIDICULOUS FRONT DESK STAFF!!!!

I had some bronchitis that was usually taken of by amoxicillin. The dr on duty prescribed Prednisone. I was hesitant, but he looked annoyed and insisted that it was for 5 days and I should not have any issues. What he may not know and important that you should know...is that if you took Prednisone in the last year,...it voids any travel insurance application. Clinic is emergency only, rely on your own Doctor who knows you and cares.

I cannot speak for all the doctors but dr preisnitz is the most horrible woman in the world. She should not be a doctor and has plenty of complaints against her for having no compassion what so ever. Forcing drugs on people who don't want the drugs and bullying older people. This woman refused to treat my anxiety instead she had me go on birth control. I didn't think it would work but took her advice and trusted her as a doctor The yaz birth control almost killed me . I told her and she said I should have kept taking it when I was vomiting straight for 10 hours and telehealth told me to seek medical attention immediately. When I told her she got mad at me for discontinuing and wouldn't even listen to my reaction She is rude and unprofessional and should have her license revoked immediately Yaz has killed thousands of women in the past and this woman tells me.. Well it's not Canadians Well now it is Cbc just released an article on thousands of women dying because of this birth control. This woman almost killed me and didn't even care ! I complained and still no one has stopped this crazy murderous woman. God help anyone who has to see this disgusting human being Shame on maple family heath for employing such an evil person and allowing them to continue destroying women and the elderly

This has to be the most horrible clinic in Kingston. Largely because of the rudest, most unhelpful front desk staff. I have seen them speak rudely, ignore patients and give attitude. They need to know that they are in a business to provide service. The doctors at the clinic are not the best but it is tough to get a doctor in this city so the rudeness prevails.

Very disappointed! Online it says closes at 2pm Saturday. I arrived at 1:47 and the doors are locked because they take the last patient at 1:45pm. I immediately call the office number, no answer, no patients sitting in the waiting and I watched the staff put their jackets on to leave.

The most difficult place to book an appointment. The receptionists are the rudest staff in Kingston. Not sure who manages this place but they must not read nor receive their feedback. What kind of a health care clinic treats its patients with huge doses of scorn?

With Dr. Cook's transition to Frontenac Doctors I just received a letter saying I and my 2 children would no longer have a doctor as of Jan 1st 2020 and to call a 1800 number. I am 36 years old and have been a patient of the doctor before her. I have heart issues and other complex issues ans take medication. so as of Jan 1st I have no provider for these meds. This is an absolute joke and criminal nice to be abandoned after your pockets have been lined because of us for so many years.

My family have been going to this clinic for nearly 9 years now and we have had nothing but good experiences. The team approach works extremely well giving clients access to many facets of health care. I can always get an appointment within 2 days and there have been times when I’ve called them in the morning, received an appointment that day and got home with a prescription by the afternoon. I cannot believe the poor reviews as I’ve spoken to many people who are all quite happy with the care they receive. To the young lady who is giving poor marks to the clinic because of missed appointments - you were a day early and then a day late - that’s like blaming a grocery store because you forgot to make dinner and now you’re hungry! Sometimes we need to take responsibility for our lives and get organized. It’s not that difficult.
