I took my 2 year old son in to try discover more about his skin. I told the Dr how I had removed all toxic chemical products from my house. I had told her the extent of everything. Plant based cleaners, laundry soap, dish soap, and making body butters and making everything from bug spray to sun screen. I told the Dr I believed it was something either in his external environment or it had to do with gut health and something he was eating was disruptive to his gut health with was manifesting as a skin issue. Since our skin is the largest organ in our body. She never checked for food sensitivities, only environmental. She did mention giving my son a bleach bath. I would like to put it out there for anyone who is recommended this, why would you put a product on your child that has a warning right on the bottle Warning: Eye and SKIN irritant. I am extremely dissapointed in the advice given. Bleach will disrupt his gut health and irritate his skin even further. The alcohol wipe that was used after his skin was pricked was burning him. I had our own homemade plant based wipes that I used to cleanse is skin. I had travelled 2 hours to get here and had to use the washroom. Both my son and I had used the soap in the bathroom. I should have known better, as it was full of fragrance. The word fragrance can have any number of over 3000 chemicals in it, which are not labeled as they are trade secrets. These chemicals are endocrine disruptors. I felt sick during and after the appointment from all the toxic chemical products used in this office. For an office who says that they are fragrance free I am extremely disappointed.
