Great staff. Had all 4 wisdom teeth removed this morning by Dr. Stoykewich. Very pleased. Very little to no pain when I came too from anesthesia. There was a nurse beside me from the time I entered the operating room till I left. One nurse talked with me and keeping me spirits up before the operation began (easing my axiety). Answering all sorts of questions. Treated me like a person and not just a patient. Overall very pleased with my experience.

Dr.Canosa and his team are irrefutably the best oral surgeon group in Canada! I'm an actor from Los Angeles and was visiting my Fiancée and her family in Winnipeg. I had an issue with my wisdom teeth that became emergent to get taken care of immediately . Dr. Canosa and his team took utmost priority in getting my problem resolved- and four wisdom teeth later I'm feeling like a new man! The offices are prestige and the staff are wonderful! Dr.Canosa is a very kind spoken and knowledgable man with great bedside manner! I highly recommend him and his staff- if only there could be more Doctors like Dr.Canosa!

Lovely experience... considering I was getting my wisdom teeth removed. I was absolutely terrified and a new mother. They were very accommodating and let me pump before the surgery and answered all my questions regarding breastfeeding after anesthesia. The whole staff was super friendly and sweet that I dealt with, from the sweet front gal, to the anesthesiologist, Dr. Canosa and the kind nurse post op. Happy as could be in the circumstances.

So I got out of a surgery yesterday, not remembering a damn thing, when I got there I was honestly scared because someone had just taken a screw driver to my mouth so obviously I was nervous about having even a professional extract what was left of my 3 back molars. But you know what, the nurses knew I was scared, and so did the ladies up front. Tara, one of the receptionists, was answering all my stupid questions, and making alot of jokes with me (keep in mind I do customer service and am also a salesmen, so its not hard to make jokes and like me) but honestly if it wasn't for the staff, I would have hated the entire thing. But above all else, they made absolutely sure, I was safe, that all my possessions were fine and that nothing was left behind, and when I called in to ask more questions, they remembered me and genuinely were happy to hear from me and make sure I felt as confident as possible about everything. Its that kind of care, that honestly if anyone's ever scared about an oral surgery, this is THEE place to go because they are not only trained, but they will do everything they can to make you feel at home, safe and well taken care of, and trust me after getting tortured, and then having to get someone else to dig around in my mouth, the last thing I wanted was for someone else to be anywhere near my teeth, yet they completely changed my mind set, thank you everyone, and know I will always send people your way!

I had my two lower wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Canosa in March 2018 and was very pleased with my experience, despite my fear of dental work. I was extremely anxious about getting my teeth removed before my appointment. Dr. Canosa answered my questions and reassured me at the consultation appointment as well as right before the surgery and he was gentle, patient, understanding and kind, which I appreciated. I opted for IV sedation due to my anxiety levels and it went very well. The anesthesiologist managed to make me laugh during the process and seconds later, I don't remember anything and was completely out for the procedure. I woke up in the recovery area in a comfortable chair with gauze in my mouth and stitches where the teeth were what felt like minutes later but it had actually been an hour. I remembered nothing about the surgery, which was fabulous. Dr. Canosa and a nurse came to check on me while recovering and said everything had gone smoothly. I was still pretty out of it but was able to go home within half an hour and was given a prescription for pain meds, anti inflammatories and an antibiotic. The after care instructions were explained in detail to my mom and I. Honestly, the surgery was the easy part and such a breeze with Dr. Canosa's team. Recovery was more challenging, as I was unable to eat anything for a week (liquids-only) due to pain and swelling, was nauseous and dizzy from the meds and anesthetic and was in a lot of pain for a few days. Thankfully though, everything has since healed nicely and it was just the first week that was rough. Make sure to follow the post-op instructions they give you (lots of ice packs during the first two days to reduce swelling, rinsing your mouth with salt water often, etc.) to help speed up the healing. They give you lots of gauze pads and a little syringe to clean out the holes (which comes in very handy). I didn't have the chipmunk cheeks and constantly had ice on my face for the first two days. I re-visited Dr. Canosa twice during the first two weeks after surgery for pain relief and he stuffed the tooth holes with a mixture of herbs (they tasted terrible for the first bit but helped numb the pain and fell out a few days later). I would recommend the Oral Surgery Group and Dr. Canosa for getting wisdom teeth removed. Their office (Main Street location) is modern, beautiful and clean with a comfortable waiting area. The staff are professional and friendly. They don't direct bill to your insurance, but they do submit the claim on your behalf and I was reimbursed within days, so I wasn't out that large chunk of money for very long. They do great work! Thank you for a better experience than what I was expecting and for doing your best to help me relax and make the best of a scary situation.

Dr removed one of my wisdom teeth and after removal decided not to prescribe antibiotics for no given reason. Told you will be fine within 24 hours. When called his office after 4 days, his staff reply 3-5 days of pain and stress is common. I told I need antibiotics it is still bleeding and painful. Could not open the jaw to eat and no solid food. Going to work and doing day to day activity with pain for one tooth removal by a specialist, who knowingly decided to put me through pain and compromise the quality of life. Only because he wanted me to go for a follow-up visit to earn $85 fee. Only after 1st call, they asked me to come to their office for follow -up and blocked my cell number. Very malicious and unethical DR and staff. Would not recommend this Dr to anyone. Can take a risk and spoil your 1 to 2 weeks only to make you pay his follow-up fee. Stay away.

Had four wisdom teeth extracted yesterday by Dr. Guan. First off, he’s super friendly and put me immediately at ease even during consultation. He’s also very honest, and while some may not like that, for me it was reassuring and helpful. All of the other staff were friendly, kind, and helpful and you immediately sense a pleasant atmosphere in the office. I know I’m just starting into recovery but as an older person with fear of dental work I fully recommend.

I had my two top wisdom teeth and an extra top tooth removed as well by Dr. Antonio Canosa. He was very kind, detailed and professional. The entire team here was very professional, friendly and prompt. Everything was organized well, extremely clean, and the processes were explained clearly. One of the best parts of the experience was the anesthesiologist, Dr. Adrian Hawaleshka. He was relaxed, funny, and explained everything that he was doing in detail. He made me feel extremely comfortable in a situation where I was nervous. All around, best experience I could have had. Thank you!

My son had a wisdom tooth removed here at the main St office, he is now fighting for his life due to complications concerning this issue, I would be really careful not to go there

Thanks to their scheduling I was able to come in on a Saturday morning. All staff are caring and professional, from intake to exit. They helped alleviate my anxiety of having two teeth removed. The building is new and very clean inside and out. 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ to everyone involved! Thank you again.

I had 7 teeth removed this morning by Dr. Canosa. 4 wisdom teeth and 3 others that I had previous root canals on that started to break down and needed to come out. The anaesthesiologst was very funny and helped lighten the mood. The assistant nurse megan was very kind and welcoming, and Dr Canosa was extremely kind, handed me a tissue when I shed a few tears, and answered any questions before we began. I was put under with IV sedation. Within a few seconds I was out, and woke up covered in a blanket in recovery in what felt like a few minutes later. I feel bad for the post op nurse because I asked her a million times if it was over haha. I just couldn’t believe it. I was prescribed antibiotics to fight infection, meds to help with swelling, and T3’s for the pain. The post op nurse (also named megan) helped a lot and explained very well about after care and told us to call with any questions. In a by of pain right now (understandably) but as far as the procedure goes, it went extremely well. Would definitely recommend Dr Canosa and his team at the Main Street location.

Don't expect Dr Chimilar to be on time

The dentist, and lady handling me after my surgery bruised my vein. She ripped the tape off , and pulled my iuv out. She talked down to me the whole time. Idk how the dentist did this to my neck, but I also got a cut on my lip. Honestly scary experience. And the lady who ripped my IV out seemed racist. Because the lady she handled before me, she seemingly nicer to. (she was Caucasian.) Avoid if indigenous. Side of my face is more swollen than other people I know who got wisdom teeth pulled.

I recently had 2 of my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. David Chimilar. However, they did not realize that I had taken the medication they had prescribed. Worse parts: - Did not realize I had taken medication they had prescribed. - Left me unsupervised, droggy in the waiting room. - Laughed about not knowing I was on medication. - Gave me instructions when I was droggy and would not wait for my mom. I was originally supposed to have all four removed and go under general anesthetic, but because my insurance did not cover it all we switch to two teeth and I was prescribed a medication which I took an hour prior and was given local anesthetic. When I arrived with my mom we were told that they were running a few minutes late. My mom left and they asked that I sit in the waiting room on a specific chair (the receptionist said she had not yet had the chance to sanitize others). I was very droggy from the medication and could not stay awake. After about an hour a woman came and got me and brought me to the room, her and Dr. Chimilar kept asking how I was feeling. They check papers in the corner and left again. The woman came back in laughing and said they hadn’t realized I had taken medication, since they changed the prescription and it wasn’t written and told me that that was why they kept asking how I was feeling. She left the room and I could hear her and the receptionists laughing. After the procedure, Dr. Chimilar told me that he knew I was on it since he had prescribed it (contradicting the woman). I asked them to call my mom and told them I didn’t have my phone because I felt to out of it. He told me to tell the front desk, but the woman told me she would. She then came back in and told me my mom would be 5minutes so she was just going to tell me everything, I still felt very droggy. She walked me out and asked me to pay and I told her that I didn’t have my wallet because I felt to out of it to be responsible for it. My mom arrived and paid and I handed her the paper with instructions.

I had both of my daughter's wisdom teeth extracted from this practice. They failed to submit my sunlife claims for both of them and did not apoligize when i called about it. One of the nurses for my second daughter's surgery was very rude.

I recently got all four wisdom teeth out, and from start to finish Dr. Canosa and his team were all so nice to me and assured me that the procedure will go smoothly. The ladies at the reception were very polite and very responsive to submit my insurance claim. I definitely recommend coming here to get your dental procedure done.

Rose Machado

Got all four wisdom teeth surgically removed and asked for a full depth explanation of all side effects and information about the procedure (I have anxiety) and the surgeon told me that the nurse would tell me everything I needed to know but after the surgery she wasn’t even paying attention to me At all and when I tried to talk to her and ask her questions she told me to stop talking. Was extremely nauseous and vomited a lot over the course of nine days after the procedure and no one warned me about it at all. At my follow up appointment I wait an hour just for the surgeon to tell me he has no idea why I’m still nauseous. Had to Google everything, they’re absolutely no help.

Had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr.Canosa and I want to thank him and his team for making it an all around good experience. He had really good bed side manner and once I got put under, had my teeth out in no time. The man who cared for me after as I was waking up was really kind and helpful as well and I really appreciated how good of an experience this was for how not fun getting wisdom teeth out is. Thank you everyone at the oral surgery group!!

We seen Dr. David Chimilar today. After 2 long months of my daughter (15) dealing with TMJ and a locked jaw with a very limited opening, we finally got priper guidance and a detailed informed approach and information. He has a very direct approach, and a well tuned system to get exactly the info he requires, be quiet and listen to him, he knows what he is talking about. Highly recommend going here! Thanks! We now at least have a path to follow instead of hopping from place to place paying random fees to have them juat try and force her jaw open and hop her up on pain meds......

Waited for an hour, no one checked in, no one acknowledged me, just left. I don't know how this place has 5-start reviews, must be a different specific dentist, but waiting an hour in a small room without so much as a check-in is way out of line.

Anya Charlotte

Dr. Canosa was a great surgeon and all of the staff were very nice except for the nurse who was with me in the recovery room. I had to be put under for the surgery and the first thing she says to me when I open my eyes was an insult about my appearance. I have gauged ears that are pretty small and she made a comment about how that's disgusting and how I'll "regret it one day". As a medical professional she should be putting her person options to the side and not commenting on the way people look. Instead of having someone reminding me where I was after waking up from the anaesthesia, I spent $1400 to be lectured liked a 5 year old despite being a grown adult. Very unimpressed and I will not be returning to this clinic.

Never ever go to this place, if u want ur good day bad , meet dr guan, 1st let that dr know how to talk with someone, then do the surgery. Just wasted my 98$. These 1star reviews are very true, just ask few question about surgery and he was like “ i am not doing it” . Ur are been paid for ur service not for ur attitude. Very bad experience. Learn some manners, patient is already scared of tooth extraction and dr is giving his attitude, never , never, never visit oral group.

Gary Van Den Bossche

Don’t recommend. Staff don’t get back to you. Finally got spot after my dentist referred and I phoned twenty times. Suffered really bad toothache They finally got me there Dr Guam talks one min and says need X-ray Ok fine get it looks at it and I said which tooth is it. He says not sure but he’ll take back one out first as you don’t chew on that one. Leaves room and says come back in a month. ??? Well I couldn’t wait and went to another oral surgeon on Henderson hwy. Glad I did as he pulled a different and right tooth. Can’t understand him Asked me three times how old I am. ?! It’s on chart?? Sorry but bad experience no correspondence no calls back seem very uncaring I do not recommend this place. Just my opinion

Meghan Plett

My husband had an jaw surgery and wisdom teeth removal done by dr guan he was unbelievably rude and arrogant. The whole surgery was a gong show and he never bothered to explain the surgery details in a way we could understand. There was also a surprise fee of $800. Would not recommend to anyone very unimpressed.

Amanda

I’ve had all 4 wisdom teeth taken out (2 in 2016 at the Main office and 2 in 2018 at Waverley) by Dr. Canosa. He was amazing both times, staff and anesthesiologists were great as well. Had no problems during or after the surgeries, and after-care is explained to you really well. Would highly recommend to anyone needing their wisdoms out!
