The optometrists at Armstrong & Small are incredibly skilled with adults and children. They were able to recognize an almost undetectable sliver (by medical standards!) in one of our young children's eyes and managed to put us into one of the city's best eye specialists who removed the sliver the same day. We have been seeing Dr. Small for years and will continue to see him for our eyes. He is very competent and has excellent diagnosis skills, and he will not rest until he has completed an accurate diagnosis.

Armstrong and Small have been my optometrist for 20 years. From Dr. Rod to Dr. Luke I have always been in the best hands! They have been consistently professional, helpful and friendly. I have always felt like they were looking out for my best interests. Dr. Luke takes so much time with me when I am in and I never feel rushed or that I can't ask questions. The eye exams are thorough and worth every penny. Even living out of province, I still schedule my eye exams for when I am in Winnipeg so that I can continue to see Dr. Luke. A reputable, family run business - a great place to go and put your money towards the local economy!

When we arrived for our appointment the administrative staff and testing staff saw that we were taken in on time. Our 9 year old daughter was a bit nervous that she was going to need glasses. Once Dr. Gina saw each of us, and our daughter DID in fact need glasses, she put her at ease and made the experience so stress free. Allyn in sales was so helpful and honest with us when we were all choosing our glasses. We've seen both Dr.Gina and Dr. Luke and they are both knowledgeable and warm and so good with kids. Their selection of frames is great and the prices are more than reasonable.

When I scratched my cornea, I had to make 3 seperate visits for treatment. Each time, I was handled by a different specialist, but they were extremely competent, communicative, and very attentive, making for a seamless transition. They provided comfort, sound advice, and prescription which was more effective than the one provided by the Misercordia.

Dr. Small is very friendly. He took his time, was thorough, and explained everything. I felt a bit overwhelmed picking out my first ever pair of glasses, but the opticians were super helpful and we managed to pick a pair that I love! The building is nice and clean, all of the instruments they used were very modern. I was surprised at their big selection of frames for the small size of the building.

Went to go see Dr. Gina Small after leaving another optometrist (at different clinic) frustrated. At the other clinic I was given a prescription with an incredibly poor explanation of what was medically going on with my eyes. Dr. Gina small's knowledge base and experience is pretty impressive and she took the the time to share with me what she knew and made sure I understood. She also gave me a more accurate prescription. Would strongly recommend.

I've been a patient for 40 years and I love the care I get with Dr. L Small, I started out as a patient with his father, Dr. Rod Small (who was equally amazing), and when he retired I went on to see his son Dr. Luke Small...He is awesome and so caring! I’ve had the BEST experience here! I don’t live anywhere near Armstrong and Small, however I was “introduced” to them after a horrible experience with another eye glass company. I am very grateful that I made the drive. The staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. As well, every single member of their team, from the girls at the front, to the doctor that I saw and most of all Stephanie, were all incredibly personal. My first visit we were talking like we’ve known each other for some time. I ended up having my glasses “fixed” ...IE new lenses that I’m able to actually see out of the first time I put them on as opposed to trying for a couple months with the ones that the other company had done for me. (And might I add, not bothered to correct them with out charging me almost as much as I paid for them in the first place.) I’d also like to mention, they are very reasonably priced. I will recommend Armstrong and Small to everyone I know! Overall It’s been a great experience! Thank you to everyone there for helping me and making this a “painless” experience.

Armstrong & Small feels like a place where everyone actually cares about your experience. I had a fantastic eye exam with Dr.Lepage and after determining the appropriate prescription, I proceeded to hum, haw and basically wallow in my insecurities while I chose what could be the right frame to best distract from my face. The team was extremely patient with me, doing some bending, adjusting and ego-stroking while I made my decision. I left feeling great and eager to recommend A&S to anyone who needed an optometrist. Their selection of brands is excellent, and to have found a pair of glasses that not everyone would have was definitely a bonus. Clean, friendly, knowledgeable, professional and close to a McDonalds. What more could a guy ask for?

This is how every clinic should operate, period. It's been a long time since I saw bunch of nice people working together under same roof. All doctors are very good at what they do and all staff is very friendly. Place is very clean and neat. Wait times are considerably short. They are very upfront about their billing. Not a single complaint. I want to thank everybody working in this clinic.

Dissappointed after setting an appointment for my 10 month daughter to be seen . Booked the appointment a couple weeks ago, was called 18 hours before her appontment to be told it has to be cancelled because they are doing renovations? Don't book for renovations when you have booked appointments. Will be picking another service that can accomodate. Update: called another office and was able to get an appointment and will have my daughter seen in the next 24 hours . Just so dissappointed I waited as long as I did for Armstrong only to be cancelled on. I wish I would of called this other place first.

Oh my, this should be everyone's first stop for eye care/optometrist. The reception area staff is top notch and truly make you feel welcome and their priority. Dr. Small is treating our 95 yr old mother for dry eye disease and his knowledge, wisdom, research, and care is exemplary. They will do everything that is humanly possible to accommodate you and your eye needs. The clinic significantly altered my opinion of optometrists/eye doctors. The appointment was for my foster son, who is a young man with special needs and Dr Small was extremely patient and made Frankie feel at ease. Thanks to Dr. Small for his wonderful care of my granddaughter who lives in Quebec. The QC health care does not recognize other provincial health care systems so if ill outside that province, one must pay out-of-pocket. We were prepared to do that, but Dr. Small was only concerned with getting her better. He diagnosed her eye problem, did not charge our family and kept in touch to make sure she was getting better. We are so happy to have him as our eye care doctor.
