Real Pros. All the staff at Advanced Dental Arts are extremely professional and quite pleasant. My gums have markedly improved by following through with the Periodontist and by using an electric toothbrush as was suggested. My cleaning today was quick and thorough. I was educated about the link between dental health and Diabetes. Also, my concern about root sensitivity was addressed in a practical way; so I expect my missing teeth issue will also be addressed. Tara talked me through all the steps; encouraging, complimenting and she even gave time updates during the Flouride treatment.

Been coming here for over 11 years and I get compliments on my teeth all time. These doctors are super friendly but my personal favorite is Leslie, she was amazing at explaining all she is doing in the procedure to make sure you feel safe, head, and are aware of what's going on in your teeth from a professional level. She went above and beyond in making me not worry about going to the dentist ever again and actually enjoying my appointments and all the work being done. I don't use fluoride and these doctors are super supportive with that decision and have explained how fluoride works to protect the teeth. If you're scared of going to the densist and you know you need to go this is your best bet in the city! X

Probably one of the most thorough, professional and thoughtful dentistry practices in the city. This is why I will make the trek across town for an appointment. I was a one time patient back in 2013 and they phoned me to follow up with me in 2020. Now that’s 6 years of no dental work. They were the least bit judgemental about it. I had my first appointment here yesterday. Best dentist I've ever been to. I have extreme anxiety about going to the dentist (I had a panic attack when I sat in the chair and saw the tools...so they calmed me down, gave me water and covered the tools and didn't use the one that specifically terrifies me). They were very kind, understanding and helpful. One of my favourite parts was that instead of scolding me like a child and telling me useless things like every other dentist has (like "hey quit eating candy" ...which I never do anyway so totally useless advice) he actually gave me useful advice that applies to me - apparently sugar in my coffee is causing issues and gave me an alternative to switch to. I didn't realize that was the problem and am going to change that. I appreciated having a dentist actually help me and give me advice I can use. So I'm doing what he suggested and I will be going there from now on. Even though I still have bad anxiety about it, it was honestly the best dental experience I've ever had and I actually feel like I can trust them (which is a first for me). Its the first time going to the dentist wasn't a horrible experience for me and didn't just add to my fear - and the first time I'm not panicked about going back. Can't say enough about how good they are.

My most recent visit was for an uncomfortable cavity that had to be filled immediately and Dr. Jacob did everything he could to ensure I was as comfy as possible at 36 weeks pregnant in his chair. I had the best experience of my life at Advanced Dental Arts. I postpone dentist visits because of my anxiety but everyone here made me feel very comfortable. There was no pain during the procedure and they ensured I was alright at every step. I was encouraged to ask questions and told why I needed a particular dental treatment in layman's terms. With my previous dentists, they just treated me with no explanation/jargon I didn't understand. When I paid a huge amount I always wondered why. There are two words that best sum up Advanced Dental Arts to me: "friendly" and "efficient". I have never waited more than 5 minutes in the waiting room, and the service has always been fantastic. Some things that stand out for me are - One: a root canal I had where I never felt a thing (after all the terrible things I had heard about root canals!) Two: some bridge work that has held up amazingly well. Three: once, years ago, when my in-laws were visiting from Hamilton, my father-in-law was suffering from an abscess in his gums. I called Advanced and asked if they could get him in on an emergency basis. They said "no problem" and had him in the same day. The situation was taken care of by Dr. Jacob in a wonderful, efficient way. I was very impressed and very grateful. I have recommended Advanced to many people and would still today.

After waiting almost three years,I know what you’re thinking,but basically COVID was the perfect excuse for me as visiting the dentist is not easy for me,mostly because of early years experiences which haunted me for a long time.I am better at it than I was,but long and short of is I noticed a lot of bleeding when brushing and quickly found that this could be gum disease so I was forced to make the call.My “diagnosis “ was correct after confirmation from Dr.Lanny. My appointment was at 9:10 and after X-rays and examination poor sweet Yeseny started her arduous task.I’m sure I contributed to her Carpal pain in her hands as I left the chair at 12:45.She never even had a coffee break!She was so kind and caring and SO good at her profession.Thank you again for looking after me so well.I promise you will see me much more frequently from now on. Please be smarter than I was and ensure your dental needs are looked after because the staff at Advanced are truly wonderful and make the situation as easy and painless as possible.

I saw Dr. Jacob as a child and teen growing up and he was absolutely awful to me. He is an extremely old-school dentist, and was cold, insensitive, impatient, and talked down to me as a teen for not flossing daily. I distinctly remember him saying regarding the flossing: “How old are you? 16? We shouldn’t be having this conversation.” Guess what, Dr. Jacob - a significant number of the adult population doesn’t even floss regularly - nevermind teenagers. Go check the stats. I wonder if Dr. Jacob would have talked to an adult patient who didn’t floss regularly the same way he talked to me. I’m disgusted he got paid for my visits when he treated me the way he did as a youth. One time his dental hygienist was in the room when he spoke to me and apologized to me after he left. If patients, and especially young people, could be taking better care of their oral health, dentists should be addressing it in a way that keeps them feeling comfortable and wanting to return to get regular cleanings and check-ups - otherwise as adults they will not want to go to the dentist, and their oral health will suffer more. It’s not rocket science, but unfortunately Dr. Jacob lacked this insight. I had a mistrust/fear of dentists for many years and Dr. Jacob was the cause of that. I’m disappointed to see he’s still practicing as I saw him about 20 yrs ago.

I’ve taken Valium to have my teeth cleaned at other places and STILL sat in the chair with tears rolling down my face and white knuckling the chair arms. Long story short I have never felt as taken care of as I have here. I didn’t feel like just another patient and I didn’t feel like just another patient with fears.
