Time for Parrots

it took me 8 YEARS to get up the nerve to finally get my teeth done. i'm TERRIFIED of dentists. some one says dentist and thats my dust you'll see before you'll find me running in the opposite direction. Dr Mahar and his assistance calmed me right down and aided me in SERIOUS work that i needed in my mouth. it wasn't "what have you DONE???" it was "ok this is what we're going to do" in a matter of three or four sessions, we were finished! i couldn't recommend a better dentist for you and your family!

I’m approaching 50 Soon & new to Kamloops.. This visit was the best dental experience I’ve ever had , got me in fast & early , very friendly front desk & dental assistant.... Dr Gary Mahar was great .. like a magician removing my wisdom tooth. Great service & great price . So glad I’ve found this place !!!!

Don't bring your children here. My 19 month old son chipped his tooth - they took me in right away (reception amazing). I sat on the chair with my baby and the idiot Dentist came In, asked me to lift my baby lip to see teeth. He was 4 ft away! Saw it for 2 seconds and started lecturing me about the bit of decay on my son upper 2 teeth (the rest is perfect) I kept explaining to him I know. My actual dentist in Vancouver is aware and we already did fluoride varnishing, etc. He didn't hear a thing I said and continued to lecture me...???!!!!! My son is crying. He just chipped his damn tooth and his gum was bleeding as it was punctured. There was no making sure his tooth wasn't in the gum. No making sure the nerve wasnt damaged. Nothing! Just continuously lecturing me til I grabbed my son, got up and walked away. Spare yourself the headache and go to Horizon Dental in Brock.

The dentist was great. The reception staff are rude. They gossip loud enough for patients in the waiting room to hear.

Awesome dentist and great staff, I have Odontophobia ( dental phobia ) and Dr. Mahar was very understanding. Not once did he ever judge me for how badly decayed my teeth were, with the help of some Ativan he was able to remove 8 teeth. Previous to that I had to under general anesthesia just to get a few fillings done. I still have a few more teeth to be pulled but I am much less scared to now. I recommend Dr. Mahar for anyone with dental phobia or dental anxiety

Dr Mahar and his staff are excellent. I am not an easy patient and they have gone above and beyond to make sure that I have a comfortable appointment. I would recommend this practice to anyone needing oral care.
