For those who doubt, who are afraid or who are anxious - believe me, everything will be fine! My operation was done very quickly and painlessly (with the exception of 8 - little pinches, I counted them). I can tell you that I am very happy to have spent 5-10 minutes on the operating table. Barely 24 hours after my surgery, I immediately see an improvement in my quality of life. (Almost a word game). Then, again, no operative-pain. Simply the best. Dr. Pop came highly recommended by one of his competitors in the Ottawa area. I ended up driving from Ottawa to Montreal several times during the process and it was so worth it (there is a clinic in Gatineau for follow ups). I had phakic intra ocular lenses put in 6 years ago and a PRK touch up for about 2 years ago. The whole experience was amazing. Dr. Pop and his staff went above and beyond. There are quite a few laser places in Ottawa, but I just scheduled my wife in for surgery with Dr. Pop. I wouldn't take her anywhere else, as I wanted her to have the best. I urge anyone looking for intra ocular lenses, laser eye surgery, or any eye surgery really, to go to Dr. Pop even if it's a bit of traveling. He is highly skilled, professional and caring.
