For well over a year, the accounting has been a nightmare. Even after I've asked for pre authorization of benefits, i would continue to get mystery bills months later. Even when i had been back into the office, i was told "your good to go", and then get a bill for 4 months prior. This year i gave them one last chance, and after 3 months of receiving a treatment i was told was covered, i receive a bill for uncovered expenses. 3 months later they are phoning me a week before Christmas for payment, when i never received a copy of the invoice.

I went in for a new patient/regular hygiene appointment on the 9th of June 2020. Tania did my x-rays and she was extremely well informed. She made the process very swift and efficient. Dr Cojulun was very professional as well and he explained to me my x-rays and informed me all my teeth are in very good shape and health and I just have to keep up on my regular hygiene appointment. Then I went on with my hygiene with Alicia Bond. She was extremely courteous and full of energy and faultless. We had a very healthy mentor-trainee dynamic and made the cleaning experience very pleasant and I was out in no time. I would defenitely recommend West GP dental to anyone whose looking for a comprehensive dental office in Grande Prairie.

Both my kids recently got their wisdom teeth out. Dr Clyde was fantastic. All the people that were there during and after were excellent. They make sure you understand the aftercare. They make sure you know to call them or come in with any concerns you have. Free of charge. It's part of their service. When I got my tooth fixed the dental hygienist was excellent and very kind. The dentist was great too. There's a lot going on in there, it's a big place. Everyone is friendly!

Very happy with the service, yes even from a Dentist office. Tooth removal went well, no pain, just the pulling and pushing, very bearable. They are always accommodating, and call when there is a cancellation. I highly recommend them. Staff is great.

I was new to the clinic due to not living in the area. The clinic is very modern and clean. I love that they are open 7 days a week and were able to get me in quickly. I only wish I was able to get the check up and repair to the tool done on one day and not having to come back a second day. I would recommend this clinic to anyone lookind for a clinic. My only real complaint is the front entry way where you remove your footwear. Once there is a good number of clients the front mat gets fairly wet and you have to walk across it with your socks to get to your footwear and end up with wet feet.

Greeted with friendly smiles at reception. Pleasant and accommodating. Hygienist introduced her self to me and made small talk. Explained what they were doing and asked periodically how I was doing. Very thorough exam. Dentist also introduced themselves, friendly and explained what they saw and showed me on clear pictures what they meant. Great staff

Best dentist I have ever been too. My 4 year olds first cleaning and she loved it. The hygienist was so patient and kind. She explained every tool and procedure. My daughter felt so comfortable. All I can say is wow ! From the phone call to book my appointment, to my experience with the ladies at the desk, the Dental Assistants all the way to and including the Dentist were absolutely superb ! These are people who clearly care about their clients ! I have severe anxiety about dental procedures and every single person at West GP Dental did everything possible to put me at ease right from my first phone call. I have never felt such genuine care from the Medical profession in my entire life ! They are just wonderful ! I highly recommend West GP Dental for all your dental needs !

New Patient to the Clinic, did Paperwork Prior to Appointment. Arrived on time for my Appointment but had to wait over 25Mins before being seen. The layout of the Dental area that you are being seen in is open Plan Cubicles which offer no privacy to the Patient. That is a problem both Personal and Security wise as your belongings are in open view. I found the staff pleasant and friendly and the Equipment very hi-tech. The Dentist who saw me was good but overall I was not impressed with my visit as it all revolved around money for the work I was told I would need. Not enough thought on the customer service side. I will need reassuring that I will be treated better if I am to return.

When I called, I was able to make appts for my husband and I for the next day! The staff are all SUPER friendly, and none of them made my hubs or I feel guilty for waiting so long to go. The office is beautiful and all the dentists and assistants know what they are doing. Didn't try to pressure us into having more work done than we needed, and they direct bill! Can't say enough great things about this place.

It was my first time going to West Grande Prairie Dental and all the staff I interacted with were awesome! I had needed an emergency appointment as my wisdom tooth got infected and they squeezed me in. They even saw me after I slept through my alarm and was 15 minutes late. They were so friendly and caring, it made me wonder why I had even gone to my previous dentist.

We have went twice now. And this time they actually were able to do a cleaning, on my three-and-a-half-year-old. I enjoy them way better than South 40, since all he would do is Scream there. We have been going every six months since he was 6 months old. So it was nice to get a positive feedback from him since changing places. I definitely recommend going to West Grande Prairie Dental!

I would highly recommend this dental clinic. I had a dental emergency on a Saturday, my regular clinic was closed. West Grande Prairie Dental was able to see me that day, examined my mouth, took some x-rays and diagnosed the problem. As I had an infection and fractured root, they put me on an antibiotic, and were contacting my dentist on the following Monday. All the staff, from the receptionist to the assistants, and the dentist were pleasant, caring, and knowledgeable. I would consider coming here if my regular dentist retires or leaves.

Such a painful sounding surgery for such a tiny baby but in reality it was very quick and Dr. Stephen Schalk and his assistant did an amazing job and our son is healing great. The dental office is very nice and clean, the bathroom has an awesome change table set up. The staff are wonderful. However they charge exceptionally high prices. I spoke to another dental office that said something was passed in Alberta recently that stated dental prices should be uniform. They charge 20-30 dollars more for each item on my receipt, it adds up. I recommend calling them in advance to inquire about pricing.

I'm up in GP for work and had a infection form under my tooth that was extremely painful. I called and they were able to get me in that night. They were extremely professional and assessed me quickly. They put freezing in to immediately stop the pain and got me a prescription of painkillers and antibiotics. I'm very pleased with my experience. While they are not my regular dentists if I have issues in GP in the future they will be the first place I call.

West Grande Prairie Dental is amazing. All 4 of my kids love going there. Our dental office we used to go to traumatized one of my twins when he had teeth pulled and they had no patience with him and didn't take the time to make sure the freezing took effect. Absolutely phenomenal experience there this morning. Spent almost all night up in extreme pain from a tooth infection so I called them this morning to get some help. Expected them to say that they couldn't help me today but they squeezed me in for a tooth extraction within 3 hours. Fantastic! I have been with them for 2 years. They were able to get me in within 2 hours for 1 cap replacement & 6 hours for attention to a cracked tooth. This dental office prides themselves on excellent customer service/experience and it shows. They are over the top friendly, kind and willing to go the extra mile. I got annoyed with the million email and text reminders regarding an upcoming appointment and once joked that I don't know how anyone could miss their appointment with all of those reminders. The lady must have felt bad and immediately gave both myself and my husband a gift card as an apology for the hassle. It was totally unexpected but definitely appreciated, a small gesture like that goes far with me. There are other dental offices muuuuuccch closer to us but my family and I choose to keep coming back to this lovely place. Sadly most businesses don't seem to care or demonstrate their value for customers anymore. It seems good customer service is hardly a priority these days, it's hard to even get a "have a great day" or even a "hello" in a drive thru line for coffee. Every business should learn and strive to be like the Ritz Carlton on how they demonstrate exceptional customer service. Recognition is much deserved for West Grande Prairie Dental and I hope they never change.

Both as a Mother and a Health Professional I could not be more impressed by the level of service and bedside manner provided by Alfred and Lacey. I brought my 11 month old in to be assessed for a tongue tie and even though we opted not to go through with the procedure at this time, Alfred took the time to explain all of the potential risks and benefits and was very gentle with my baby. I felt comfortable to ask questions and in no way felt rushed. I was not pressured into going through with the procedure and I was not charged for the consult. Grande Prairie is very lucky to have such amazing team of Health Professionals (and support staff).

I can not explain properly in words how wonderful the service is a West Grande Prairie Dental. From the moment you walk through the door and throughout your entire service, the staff does a fantastic job of making you feel comfortable while giving you the best service possible. I have had many appointments here but recently I had a cleaning and checkup. This particular appointment was running late. I had mentioned that I had another appointment to get to and the dental hygienist was very vigilant in making sure I left their office in time for me to make my other appointment. She also did a fantastic job with my cleaning. Dr Schalk is my regular dentist is always a please to see. He is very knowledgeable and I know myself as well as my family are in good hands when hes doing our dental work. I will continue to recommend West GP Dental and look forward to each and every visit.

They charge higher fees then any other office but do not tell you that prior to your appointment. We have 100% dental coverage with a once a year $50 deductible. I still wound up paying almost $140 and they are now telling me I owe them another $40 or so to clear up my account. Definitely not going again as I can go to any other office and not pay almost another $200.

They were able to get me in right away to have all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed. We ran into trouble with my insurance and I ended up getting in for my appointment late. Instead of only pulling 2 they rearranged some things and pulled all 4 still. The payment plan is also incredible! It's such a relief knowing that I can afford the dentist.

We love West Grande Prairie Dental and all their staff. My 3 young girls have been going there for two years and it has been such a positive experience. They all love Dr. Schalk and think he’s a celebrity after seeing him at various community events and in ads at the movie theatre. He is amazing with children and I would highly recommend him to anyone with children nervous about going to the dentist. The office is extremely child friendly and the staff go out of their way to ensure the younger patients are comfortable.

They were able to see me same day even though I had not been to their office before. All the staff had smiles on their faces and the dentist I saw was polite and informative

We brought my son here, for an emergency appointment. Which we all know typically costs so much. Not only was I able to get a same day appointment, it didn't break the bank. Lower than we've ever had. They were also able to work around my work schedule and get my son in to get his tooth pulled, which also turned out to be much less than we were told it would be by another clinic in town. They talked my son through everything, and kept his anxiety at bay. 5/5 absolutely fabulous. They definitely have our entire family's business.

Having identified my self as a person that has a weakened immune system, i was at first glad to see that some of the seats had been identified Not to be sat in. This allowed some social distancing however after waiting 10 mins,a mother with 4 small children in tow arrived and were all over the place? Perhaps an area could be found that patients over 60 and /or immune compromised could wait until being called away from the general waiting area? Masks should also be offered until this pandemic is over. The cleaning I came in for was performed satisfactorily by the hygienist.

Receptionist charge 30% to my son I told her I have 2000 covered for dental in 1 year but still she charged me.They should tell first and explain to me if they gonna charge 30% even if I have that 2000 covered in sunlife .I was worried my son because the nitrous gas was blocking his nose because it moves and told them please make it him breath properly as his mouth full of suction and other thing.My son expecting a reward as what they told after the 3 filling but they never give I know its a small thing and I understand but for a 4 year old toddler don't promise if you don't give as its not good for him..I feel bad for my son.
