Took a little longer than expected, the worker was constantly on his phone and was watching a soccer game (which I don’t blame him for) definitely cheap parts, the screen sometimes becomes unresponsive but I just turn it off and back on works good then. And it was way too expensive, it costed 141$ just to replace the screen. In general it’s just wayy too expensive.

Omg this place is amazing!!! Hands down saved my phone and literally 8000 pictures and 350 videos! Phone was completely dead, nothing could be retrieved and not only did Abdell fix and get every single photo back, but he stayed late, past closing two times to ensure my phone was 100%. Honest. if I had to use one word to describe these guys that would be it. The cell phone I had taken there was not working for me at all, and taking it here these guys had it up and working in 5 min without even doing any work to it. I guess I was lucky, any other place would of charged me for fictitious work that they would have done to a perfectly fine phone. EDIT - I paid 450 dollars........ Replaced my note 9 screen, when I go to pick it up he didnt replace the rear glass he said he was out and would order them so come in next week! By next week my screen already had a crack in it and I babied the s#$t out of it and asked him about warranty and he said there is no warranty and claimed it was samsung quality screens he was using, which I dont believe! Fast forward another week now I bought a otter box for it to protect it further and now I have an additional crack! These screens are cheap do NOT BUY if you want warranty!!!!!!

Well let me tell you, brought in my black iPhone to get the back fixed and got back a white back and a silver frame... then a month later when I went somewhere else to get my back fixed again, I was notified that my camera was missing screws my mic cover was missing and my wireless charging mechanism was completely gone, when confronted about this, I was told that because he did t take my phone apart again that he couldn’t warranty it, so after my complaint he then took the price I needed out of another customers phone because I wasn’t leaving without the part they stole from my phone so I’m all be cautious about their service, stealing parts from one phone to fix another is pretty shady business practice. Too bad there is t a minus star rating cuz that’s what they would get.

Awesome experience!! U2 ic charge chip burnt out in my iPhone, this guy was the only place in town that could fix it or would even attempt it, next closest was Edmonton or Vancouver. Came in at 3 he had it fixed by 6:30, even stayed a bit late. Kudos.

Screen took 3 times longer than they said it would. Then I had to take my phone back 3 separate times because they don't know how to install a screen as it was barely attached on one side and on the other it was completely detached. I could see the screen actually lift up the entire side and you could see backlight. So after the third or fourth time of them not installing it correctly the screen stopped working and when I took it in they pretty much said I was sol. Worst service ever. Never give them your business.

The staff was very nice and friendly, however the service was terrible. Everything about my experience with the technical aspect was horrible. First, I was quoted a price that was half of what it turned out to be. Secondly, "repairs" outside of what I specifically asked for were done with out my knowledge. Thirdly, i have had no end of issues with my phones operation in the days since. I had to go back 4 times to get them to "fix" the issue, however it is STILL unresolved, and I will more than likely have to replace my phone entirely. TL;DR: good people, bad service.

Fantastic service. Came 40 minutes before closing with an issue I couldn't understand, they immediately took my phone in and looked into the problem. They ended up staying late and gave me the option to pay for the fixes or walk away without any charges despite the work they did to figure out the problem. They fixed the issue, charged me less than what was quoted (which was reasonable to begin with) and even fixed another issue for no charge. Very good people, would highly recommend.

These guys are awesome! I have had an iPhone 5S screen replaced here; it works perfectly and was done within a few hours. I have also had my iPod touch battery replaced here too and it works good as new! My Macbook Air recently crashed while doing an update and they were able to restore my laptop without losing any data off of it, within a few days. Whenever my phone or laptop is acting up, I always trust these guys for their excellent customer service and reasonable prices.

Got a power IC fixed by these guys on February 10. They took my phone without discussing any prices and told me to come back the next day, I show up ready for my phone they tell me one more day, I decide to call the next day to see if it was ready and asked how much it would be, they told me 2 more days and $150 plus tax, I show up to get my phone in two days and they charged me $205 (not the price I was told on the phone)... And now April 3rd the power IC in my phone doesn't work again. It hasn't even been 2 months since the repair. I called back today and explained what happened and they said that can't do anything for me for about a month because their power IC guy is over seas... Don't use this company they just want your money for cheap repairs.

I even had my phone back in 30 min in perfect working order and $100 instead of buying out my contract and getting a new phone is a no brainer. Got my iPhone screen fixed here. Ended up having to go back two more times as the screen continuously popped out of my phone, parts of the screen became unresponsive to touch etc. I understand going back a second time as maybe something was missed, but I went back for a third time and my phone is still not working, time to look for a new place. This is probably one of the places that deletes their bad reviews.

Absolutely horrible!!! Would never recomend, after almost a month finally got phone back, with what was supposed to be a fixed screen, the edges of the phone was all chipped up, and underneath the screen was cracked. I said something to the girl at the front when i picked it up she said she'd talk to the tech, they took no responsibility for it, it ended up being worse off then when i originally dropped it off. And it was $200 when they said it would be $160. They never get back to you, and all they do is pass the buck. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

Garbage company. I went to them for a screen fix, after I got that back I had issues with the backlight and Touch due to them opening it up. Got that issue fixed MULTIPLE times and I was patient threw it all, they would only refund the money I originally paid, no I'm sorry we suck and broke your $600 phone or anything. They have terrible organizational skills and obviously don't know what they are doing ! Go to Expert Mobile to get you're phones fixed people !

Took my wife's phone in about a year ago, had the screen replaced and when I got it back it had a dead pixel. They said they would replace it for me and would call when a screen came in for it... Well they never called me back. Doubtful I will ever recommend this place to anyone due to this fact.

Extremely disappointed with customer service. I've replaced several screens with them and never had an issue (my phone has a defect and no apple care). The last time I replaced my screen here the one they replaced it with was defective. No biggie. I brought it back in, dropped it off, they said come back in 2 hours. I came back 4 hours later and it wasn't fixed. Waited 20 minutes for them to tell me they had no replacements and I would have to wait. No biggie. I was very polite and understanding. I gave them two extra days to get the screen in. In the meantime the defective screen that they had already seen, with receipt, had cracked while pushing the home button. Every time I tried to explain, the guy cut me off, to the point where I actually said "could you shut up?" The guy in charge called me a liar about the tiny crack, "Yeah that's not likely", and refused to replace the defective screen. I asked to talk to the boss "I am the boss". Asked to talk to the owner, he refused, as he was away. At this point I became extremely rude and told him I would never be back. I walked away and he sarcastically said "have a great day", where I told him to "go ___ himself". I will never be back and I will definitely be telling everyone about them refusing to replace a screen that was defective to the point of calling random people and being unusable for over a week. (In the end I paid $110+ Tax for nothing, and had to buy a new phone).

I'm a phone mangler. This is my fourth screen fix from this guy , he's fast courteous , knowledgeable and the price is always less than I expect. If it's one of his workers they do a good job it just seems to take a little longer. Also this is the place to get a case too , just explained the kinda case I wanted and he brought out a perfect one. Iphone 8 Plus front and back replaced and bought new case in the lower 200's and in ten minutes. This guy is a becoming a Grande Prairie Classic.

Please save your money and AVOID THIS PLACE. When i called around town to get my s9+ screen fixed this placed had the cheapest price. My husband brought in my phone and when he went back to pick it up the guy tried to charge my husband 50 dollars more because he thought he was dealing with an s9 and not an s9+. Plus he said he had a hard time fixing my screen. Fortunately my husband put his foot down and the price remained the same. However, bad news was my husband didnt turn on my phone and inspect it. First, the screen was fixed but there is a pinpoint black spot on the side and a white line across my phone. That black spot grew in sizes and is now 7mm in diameter. Second, my phone is originally a purple color but the guy placed a blue frame. So my phone is now half purple and half blue. Who does that?! We tried bringing it back but the guy refused to fix it. This guy will try and rip you off. So please save your money and pay a bit more for an Honest seller and better service.

Tried to have them change the screen on my s7. The owner changed the screen himself. It was not fully functional after he installed a new screen. When i tried to have him correct it he threw me out saying he wasn't goin to put any more money into my phone or deal with me further. It cost me $178 to end up with a phone less functional then before i went in. Will be reporting them to the bbb for failure to warrenty their work.

The aftermarket screens they install are definitely not the same quality as original, and there is no recourse if they fail. They replaced my screen, sold me an Otterbox case and within a week the screen was glitching out. Brought it in and they said I must have bent it in my pocket, as there was no physical damage to the outside of the phone. No coverage, no help.

Was 210 dollars cheaper to get my carrier to fix my broken screen. Also got to keep my waterproofing and warranty. Phone medics can not guarantee anything after they open your phone. Check with your carrier before using these guys.

I was extremely pleased with the quality and timely service of Smartphone Medic. They repaired my Galaxy S5 Active in a couple of hours. The service tech said there was a 90% chance that the screen was going to break while trying to fix the charge port. When i went in to pick it up I was stoked that the ninja of a tech was able to successfully repair the port and did not break the screen, saving me a couple hundred dollars for the repair!

Absolute crook. Went in to get a screen repair and long story short, came out with a phone in pieces and an apparent fried motherboard that he could fix for an additional couple hundred dollars. Took to terminal 51 and he said from the explanation I gave him, that smartphone medic fried it accidentally while changing the screen as it can happen when you don't know what you're doing. DO NOT GO TO THESE CROOKS!!!! While many may have had good luck with them they will try and put any mistake they make back on you and try to make it sound like it was the issue the whole time. Be careful.

After being quoted 150 to replace screen on Nexus 5, picked up, charged almost 250, phone had physical damage from being worked on, screen had several bright spots, used cheap replacement screen which did not look like OEM at all. E-bay special. Phone burned out less then a week after with horrible lines on screen. :( Should of just bought new phone. lol

Worst experience I have ever had with a service providing business. For 3 days I tried to call leaving messages with a contact and what my issue was, and never received 1 call back. Each time I called in, the call routed to voicemail and never to a human being, and my call was never returned. When I decided to stop in, there was absolutley no one around except me. I was the only customer at that time. Only to find out that they couldnt help me anyway as they didnt have a technician available for at least two weeks. I could send my phone to a different province and would have had it back faster then my local tech could repair it.

Location: 10001 101 Ave, Grande Prairie. The owner(Abdul) literally broke my phone more, charged me the full amount and then refused a refund or repair after he and his employee (Tyler) lead me on for 9 months about repairing my phone for free due to the damages from Abdul. Just to clarify: Tyler is a very kind, patient and helpful human being, but Abdul told him he would fix my phone, so Tyler reiterated this message to me on multiple occasions, thus unintentionally leading me on. Phone damages prior to attending Smartphone Medic for repairs: I had 2 fully functional cameras, however, my front camera lens was cracked, and my front screen was also cracked. Bear in mind, I showed the damaged to Abdul and Tyler so they could better understand my request when dropping my phone off. Phone damages after paying $480 for a new screen and labour + $30 for a new camera lens: 2 completely inaccessible/dysfunctional cameras and a "brand new", but somehow cracked front LCD screen. When Adbul (owner and tech) returned my phone to me, there was a crack in my LCD screen and both my cameras were “unable to connect”. I noticed this minutes after paying them the full amount for repairs. Abdul told me that he would repair my phone free of charge due to the damages he did to my phone, however I was leaving to my area of residence 5 hours away, and was told they would fix it when I came back. I contacted the shop regularly via phone for confirmation that my phone would be repaired and Tyler assured me each time that Abdul would repair it. I tried to come in for repairs, but was unable to find Abdul to have him fix it. When I requested a refund, I was denied and told Abdul was the only one who could do that, and I needed to come back so that he could fix it, free of charge. On May 28, 2019: after several attempts, I successfully met with Abdul in person. 2 weeks prior to this, I spoke to him on the phone and recapped the situation and informed him that my cameras were still not connecting, and the screen crack was so bad the my screen started glitching last month, so I banged the phone on something, which caused a physical crack on the screen. Abdul advised that this was fine, and he would still fix it free of charge as the screen was damaged by him already and needed replacement. I dropped my phone off, but when I went to pick up my phone two days later, Tyler informed me that Abdul was refusing to fix it and I would need to come in the evening to talk with him. Summary of my conversation with Abdul this evening: He refused to fix it Told me I couldn’t prove my cameras were working When I told him I confirmed the damaged and reason for damages with Tyler earlier on the phone today, Abdul advised that Tyler went home for the day and it didn’t matter what he said (Tyler was there when I arrived, but left for the day within minutes) I asked Abdul for a refund, and he laughed and said “For what” I further explained that I paid him to replace my cracked camera and fix my screen, but he ruined my camera connections and I know he gave me a secondhand or faulty screen because Tyler told me he did on the phone earlier in the afternoon Abdul denied this and refused to aid my situations despite his hand in ruining my cellphone functioning. He even offered to "upgrade" me from my Galaxy S8 to a 7 plus if I paid for it, clearly attempting to use his own damages to my phone as a way of profiting rather than fixing his huge mistake. Tyler has been excellent and very supportive throughout this process, however Abdul has been incredibly unprofessional and presents as dishonest and fraudulent. Abdul may be able to do a basic screen repair, but be weary of additional damages that may occur in this process without fair compensation, remorse or acknowledgement.

I'm so hard on phones and over the years I've always come to this guy. Never disappoints only issue I ever had was with an iphone 7 and they got a bad batch of screens but he rectified the situation right away. Always super nice and informative whenever I go in there.

Sketchy service, and used parts. I have taken my smart phone to Smartphone Medic twice now. The first time the screen broke within 24 hours, but I chalked it up to user error. It was dropped with a case. After receiving the second screen and back glass replacement from Smartphone Medic, I am almost certain that the first glass was faulty. The second replacement screen wasn't even attached to the phone! Less than two hours after bringing my phone home, the front and back glass both flopped off, and were held by the connecting cables underneath only. When I returned my faulty phone, there was no offer of new parts. I had two options: 1) Smartphone Medic would use the faulty parts already installed and re-seal the phone. (the phone was contaminated with dust by this point, and the seals were dirty) 2) I could get a refund with a $30 parts and labour fee, but the refund would involve removing all screens so all I would have left is a phone with no working screen, or back glass. All of the hardware would be exposed. The argument was that the "parts were still good, and they could sell them to another customer" BEWARE. Smartphone Medic will REUSE old parts on repaired phones. They will NOT honour their work with any sort of warranty, and have terrible customer service skills. I would STRONGLY encourage anyone to pay with a credit card so you have some recourse as a customer when your phone undoubtedly starts falling apart.

Awful! Was only in town for 2 days.... Was guaranteed by the tech worst case would be $195 and 24 hrs or less(he wrote that on the invoice) 2 weeks later it's still not fixed and they want $300 or more once its fixed. This business is a fraud and the owner wont honor what his employee said! Do Not Go Here! Not only that but after I wrote this review the employee called and argued with me about the review and told me I don't know anything.... Wow not only terrible work but pathetic customer service!

The staff was really helpful; they helped me transfer pictures from my old broken phone on to my new one. They even delivered the phones to us, as we had an appointment to go to. Great quality work, they went above and beyond the call of duty. Would definitely recommend!

They had two of our tablets for over 2 months. We were patient, never bugged them. I finally called and asked for an ETA, was told I would get a call right back in a few minutes. Nothing.. Called the next day same thing, again nothing. After 2 months you dont even know whats wrong yet, and have done nothing to stay in contact or let us know. Not sure your work quality, but your customer service leaves much to be desired

Was a great place first time fixing phone, but it quit working again, on warranty, then took a lot of phone calls to find out if it could be fixed again, finally told it can't, said they would give refund of first 200 and some payment but now won't pay, be careful with this place, they start good but hopefully you don't have more trouble than first visit.....
