Was overcharged when paying for a procedure. We found the overcharge while doing our books. I tried for well over a month through email and phone calls to get this looked after and was ignored. When DrZ finally called me, she herself told me it was my own fault for not knowing better. She has refused to give my money back. Has been very condesending to deal with. Told me she likes to nurture relationships however did not get back to me for over a month. That is not someone who wants to nurture anything. Have been talking with past clients and found out I am not the only one who has been treated this way. Dr.Z also told me she has all the paper work to prove I am in the wrong...She has an estimate for a proceudeure we had discussed (for an estimate) and was never booked. Other than Captivating Aesthetics, I have not know of a business in Grande Prairie that made a mistake of overcharging someone and not done the right thing. I question Dr Zwanepoel ethics. EDIT to response : Feel free to explain how you handled this situation...Im sure the public is interested. How it took you over a month to finally respond. Reminder that I have all the emails I sent. Please explain how it was an estimate and that no procedure was ever booked. Please expalin how one of the procedures I had done is $4200 cheaper at a clinic that is certified to practice the procedure. People please do you homework on other locally owned clinics in the Grande Prairie area. Learn form my mistakes.

From the minute you walk in you are greeted by a the friendly knowledgeable staff and a gorgeous waiting room. You feel like you have left GP. The surroundings are modern, well thought out, and what you would expect from a place that offers high end services such as CA. Dr.Z herself is the kindest Dr. I have ever met and takes the time you need to explain everything in detail and why she is recommending certain procedures or treatments. I totally expected on my first visit to be bombarded with a pushy sales pitch but THIS IS NOT THE CASE! I was given a ton of options and paths we could take at multiple price points and absolutely no pressure to purchase. I left with a new found knowledge of my skin, what it needed and how we could address certain issues I had. On my first visit I had a small area treated with botox and after using JUST the skin care for a few months was told by Dr. Z another botox treatment would not be needed. Imagine a Dr. NOT trying to prescribe anything at a follow up and being told to save my money. I was so impressed by her honesty! I can absolutely not recommend Dr.Z and Captivating enough and wish every DR/practitioner held themselves to the standard that she holds not only herself but her staff as well. She truly cares for her patients and wants whats best for you as the patient. If you go to CA you will not be dissapointed.

There is not enough time in the day, or available characters, to write a review that fully captures all that is Captivating Aesthetics but I’ll try... I used to travel to Edmonton for services, prior to CA’s existence because I was advised by many that there was nowhere else worth investing in here in GP. I later decided to attend a different practice here in GP and had reasonable experiences, for the most part, but nothing like CA. There were some things that didn’t go as I felt they should have, some extremely negative things that came back to me after I referred others, and I just ended up feeling that it was time for me to try someone new. I went to CA (even though I was a complete skeptic about paying for a consult) and was completely blown away. The time spent in that first consult, the amount of detail covered, the personal assessment of what would be best for ME and MY needs, not just generic offerings, etc. I easily could have exceeded the 1 hr. consult, and I think we did go over, now that I think of it. Since then, I have gone to Dr. Z for a wide variety of treatments. What started as skin care to address my melasma, has evolved to my being the happiest I’ve ever been with how I look and feel, aging gracefully and with the support of the CA team. There has NEVER been a single experience where I have left feeling even the slightest bit unhappy. From Botox to filler to lasers and peels, and many things between, they have informed me of all relevant risks and possible outcomes (which is a HUGE deal to me because everywhere else seems to make it out to be a very casual thing to have such “simple” things done that actually carry an extreme amount of potential complications). Dr. Z is committed to constantly evolving her training and techniques, pursuing professional development with the top experts in each field, and she never settles for her current experience being good enough. This level of evolution and commitment is extremely important to me, as I believe the seriousness of such aesthetic procedures are dramatically downplayed in society and especially when dealing with the face, anything less than the best is just not worth the risk. In all the times I have attended CA, I have never felt like I was “sold” anything. I have asked for perspective and opinion and been steered away from things I don’t need as often as I have been offered various ways to address things that I wanted in a way that worked for my needs, both physical and financial. After every experience, the follow-up and aftercare have been top notch. If ever I’m concerned (I’m an extreme over-thinker), there is someone to answer my questions, or Dr. Z will get back to me herself to ensure my peace of mind. Every experience at CA is like a trip to the spa… only with real, tangible outcomes! If you’re on the fence, I can’t recommend highly enough and if you’re just looking for where best to invest, this is it!

RECOMMENDATION NOTICE – PLEASE READ FIRST As a young male between 30-40 years, one start noticing a lot of changes in the body like hair loss. We try different products which we hope might reverse this process, thinking “this will work”, without any positive results. I’ve been participating in the Captivating Weight Loss Program for 3 weeks. This program has been unlike any weight loss program I have ever done. What I really liked about this from the beginning was Stefan takes the time to find out what is happening with your body. He looks at you as a whole person not just the amount of weight you need to lose. At 61 he found out I had some hormone deficiencies. I am a type 2 diabetic and am also on medication for high blood pressure. He recommended some supplements and suggested some dietary changes and what my caloric intake should be to lose weight for my age and metabolism. This was all covered under the consultation fee. And I didn’t have to buy the supplements from them. This was not a money grab. I need to lose weight but more importantly I wanted better health. I didn’t want to spend the rest of my life feeling like this is how it was going to be. Tired and no energy. In the program there are no special foods or meal plans to buy. You buy and eat your own food. It is a medically assisted weight loss program so there are other meds required to take. Stefan is extremely detailed in how this all works and takes the time to answer ALL your questions and concerns. A bit about the staff. Everyone in the clinic is extremely friendly and helpful always. I have never spoken with anyone who did not portray exemplary customer service. A rare find these days. Even Dr Z always takes the time to chat for a few minutes. Now the results so far. I could have waited longer to write this review but I was just so dumbfounded and excited from my results thus far. Like I said I’ve done a few different weight loss programs before. I know the first couple of weeks you always see the biggest drop. Remember I’m 61 so to lose 18 lbs in only 3 weeks is astounding. But more importantly my body fat percentage dropped (not to where it needs to be yet for optimal health) and my muscle percentage increased. And that tired cranky old lady is slowly disappearing. I’m starting to look forward to the days ahead again. Thank you Stefan and Captivating for giving me the tools to take back my life. Note**this is not a miracle cure. You have to follow the recommended eating plan and you have to exercise. I know. I hate exercising too. But to see the results you have to do the work.

I have to tell you that hands down my consult appointment with Dr. Z was so amazing! She spent over an hour with me! What doctor does that?!?! We talked about each of my concerns in great detail and she gave me many options to choose from. My biggest concern was my face. I suffer from melasma from a mixture of sun exposure (use sun screen early!) and birth control pills. Dr. Z recommended that I use ZO Skin Health by Zein Obagi. She walked me through each step morning and night. She customized it for my skin care needs and the results have been awesome! I never, I mean NEVER come out of my bedroom in the morning until my make up is on and this summer, after only two weeks with this skin care line, I was away with a group of friends and I spent the entire morning each day having coffee and visiting BEFORE make up!
