I had an appointment today to see Dr. Cameron at 9:40 am. I arrived with my 2 year old son about 10 minutes early. I didn't expect to get in early, traffic wasn't as bad as I expected so I was early. They have a few kids toys, books, kids table so clearly they cater to children in their waiting room. My son (who suffers from Speech Dyspraxia) was saying "mommy, mommy" a few times and one of the receptionists came over and asked him to use his inside voice. Hmm...okay, no problem, I'll ask him to talk quietly (it's amazing when he talks at all). I had another appointment at 11:15 so I felt that 1 1/2 hrs for this appointment should suffice as I was told this appointment should be about an hour. The other receptionist knew I had the another appointment. I waited for 25 minutes so at 10:05 I calmly told the receptionist that we would have to reschedule for another day as I wouldn't make my other appointment. The other receptionist chimed in and said "you arrived early and it's not uncommon to wait 15-20 minutes for a Specialist!". I said "Sure, I totally understand but my appointment was 25 minutes ago and I'm worried that now there won't be enough time for this today". She huffed and went into a side office. She was so rude to me, I was standing there dumbfounded. I went into her side office and said "Excuse me, but am I being unreasonable here? " She replied "Well, I often have to wait over an hour to see my GP and I just do it". I told her that I felt she was being very rude to me and that I wanted to clear the air as I don't like negative energy. She rolled her eyes at me. Yeah - I totally want to go back here. NOT! Go elsewhere. I never did get to meet with Dr. Cameron so I can't rate his knowledge or bedside manner but the buff receptionist is a real Bee-otch!
