Went in for ingrowns,he butchered my toes,bloody,painful and no sense that he even cared. It took him only a few minutes and then he used a dremill portable mini grinder to “file”his shoddy work. He actually ground down so far on one toe I jumped in pain and told him enough grinding,I’m good. He then left the room for another patient and I inspected his work,called him back in as he left one corner that was my biggest concern untreated. He came back,cut the corner out,put it on my jeans and said,”yes,this is what is causing you pain” I wouldn’t recommend him to anyone,I surely won’t be going back.

After having had the good fortune to be treated by Dr Lobianco for years, I was very disappointed with the service provided by Dr. Cole. I get the feeling it's all about the ka-ching $$$. During my initial visit, he spent 1 minute telling me what was wrong with my feet un general and 5 minutes removing my corn. He then sold me very expensive orthotics. When I returned a year later for the same issue, it was the 5 minute treatment plus a bid to sell me "high heel orthotics" as he'd already sold me the regular ones. He doesn't inspect your feet beyond what you tell him. In short, he charges more (than Dr. Lobianco did) and spends less time on your feet; the office is not very clean; and he seems to be barely capable of doing the basics. Retirement recommended.

I was embarrassed and nervous to get get an ingrown toe nail removed. It was the first time it happened to me and it hurt alot. When I called to book an appointment the receptionist was so kind and understanding. They booked me right away and our appointment started right in time. Dr.Cole was so sweet and funny. He knew I was nervous, so he made me feel comfortable by making little jokes, telling me what he was doing and even gave me some tape to take home for changing the bandage. The price was right and I got wonderful service. I highly recommend him for anyone. Thank you Dr.Cole! ????

I had plantar fasciitis and Dr. Cole's recommendations helped me so much! I had previously been to another podiatrist the year before for some nerve pain in the bridge of my toes. That podiatrist made me an orthotic that was as hard as a rock with absolutely no cushioning in the heel. It was cheaply made and was falling apart within a few months. Dr. Cole gave me an orthotic that was 100 million times better - you could see the quality and craftsmanship in it just by looking at it - and it's really helped my plantar fasciitis, while still mitigating the nerve problems in the bridge of my toes. This Dr. has been doing this for 30 years and he knows his stuff. I highly recommend him.

Terrible, if your getting an ingrown toenail removed here DON'T! The tools used to remove it are unsanitary and not cleaned after they've been used.

I got misdiagnosed by Dr Martin, which put me through two weeks of excruciating pain. After I commented that I sincerely believed that my issue was not athletes's foot but rather an allergy, he insisted I went with his treatment. I ended up buying new insoles and footpowder from him, and none of it worked and actually made my situation much worse. When I asked how he could help, he insisted I just come later?! ONE WEEK LATER. And he did not give me any other alternative solutions to my problem. As far as I was concerned there was no listening involved, ever from his part,

Incredibly unprofessional. Disrespectful to clients and their caregivers. Very rude and abrasive on the phone when booking appointments. Always makes you feel that you are bothering him by booking an appointment or requesting information. Avoid this man, you'll thank me later.

Had a terrific experience! Loved how honest and relaxed everyone was and how friendly Dr. Martin was. Very smart, quick to diagnose and my new orthotics feel great! Waay better than my old ones! Good location too, for anyone living downtown or central Nanaimo! Thank you, Dr. Martin and staff!
