It's challenging to find a family doctor in Victoria and I've faced many rejections in my search so far. This receptionist here was the rudest I've come across. No empathy, no willingness to even acknowledge me as a human. No matter what the doctors are like, their staff reflect poorly on their practice.

Dr Karin Down helped deliver our baby 15 years ago and they have both helped us raise a happy and healthy child. My most recent visit with my son was with Dr. Hugh Down. Hugh is refreshingly down to earth and very thoughtful and compassionate. He takes the time to listen to us, and now our son, and is never rushed. The front end staff are great. Like all doctors in BC, they are very busy. This does not effect the quality of service or their professionalism. I would highly recommend Dr's Hugh and Karen Down.

Drs Hugh and Karin Down are outstanding thorough doctors. They were amazing when we had our son, now 14 and continue to be exceptional that many years later. While their receptionist may seem very abrupt at times she is very kind and as accommodating as possible.
