What a great experience to be a patient of Dr Louis Bastien. The staff welcomes you, the Dr sees you at the time of your app't. He makes you feel relaxed, explains each procedure and the reason for each test and asks if I have any questions immideately afterward. The thorough exam lasted about 45 minutes. I am a diabetic and must be sure to have an annual eye exam and the Dr made sure I understood the reason for this. He pointed out all the precautions I must take to ensure any disease of the eyes does not come to the point of worsening and needing surgery. Ran into Dr. Bastien right before him leaving for the day for a two week vacation. You'd think the man was in a hurry to call it a day and take off on his trip ... Wrong! Dr. Bastien, as a true gentleman that he is, took the time to talk to me, explaining all the procedures at hand for my chronic condition, and most importantly ... he LISTENED! I'm truly impressed! He's a keeper! Next step, 1st consultation, I'm sure it's going to be awesome.
