The Elliot Lake online service is a joke. When I placed an order online at 11:30 am, the Point Of Sale online inventory shows they had plenty of the item on stock. My store pick up was assigned as the following day. I immediately received a notice that the order is being process. I noticed the store inventory started to decrease slowly. The next morning, I noticed the store inventory slowly decreasing to ZERO. At 12:30 pm, I received an email that my order has been CANCELLED ( not by me ) and no rain check. Why did they fill my online order at the last second??? Filed compliant with a reference number to the corporate office. No response from them either. Everywhere else, Canadian Tire is doing a fine job building their online pickup service. Not here in Elliot Lake.

I spent $1000 on a new set of tires for my truck several months back. A few months later I started to get a vibration in the front. Asked about getting them balanced again, they agreed to do it free-of-charge. During the balance they discovered one of the new tires was defective and changed it. I was unhappy about having to pay for some environmental fee and to add the warranty back onto the new tire. I called corporate and was sent a gift card which more than covered the money I spent, and for my time and inconvenience. Now vehicle was pulling hard right. A couple calls to the shop suggested air pressure or alignment being the issue. Went and talked to Gord at Midas, he suggested swapping the front tires. I did that and the pull went away. It proved another tire was defective. I left it for a couple months but it seemed to float or wander weird. As soon as it snowed, now the issues became much more severe. Over 40 the truck was uncontrollable, back and forth on the road. Called corporate again about the tire...going to give the shop one more chance, replace the one tire, check the other two. With appointment made, I went in, Robert the Service Manager met me with a smile and a handshake and said he’s not messing around with this, he’s just going to change all 4 tires. Boom. Done. I was happy with that. But he wasn’t done, does a 4 wheel alignment on the truck (had one several months before, but doesn’t take much to go out again). No extra charges to me. I’m so impressed that I have to give them 5 stars, and I’ll go back! If I, or anyone has an issue in the future, talk to Robert. He’s really good, showed me nothing but kindness and respect and restored my faith in Canadian Tire!

I had some issues this last time I went there, however as I was leaving the parking lot in my vehicle, one of the older women that works there asked if she could help me. And I was able to get my $200 item. It's a very busy place, the staff is hit or miss, the good ones are so busy they don't get to stop.. while the other ones stand and look at the wall. I would go back, but it's hit or miss.

I have been a Canadian Tire shopper for over 40 years and seen them come a long way from a small storefront to the large box store of today. Rarely has there been a shortage of a product I needed and their policies such as rain cheques or returns are excellent. One remarkable thing which says a lot about a business is staff retention. Many of the staff have been serving me for two decades or more. Generally knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The new hires seem to have the same ethic and I look forward to dealing with them in the future.

3 things I want to comment on; 1. The staff in 99% are very nice and helpful but VERY UNDER staffed. The 1% sucks when the manager is not available. 2. The items on sale are poorly marked, often NOT on shelf, nor is the price. The store itself, is too small. 3. The electronic price check is a joke; If I want to check the price guess what? It directs me to check the price elsewhere!? I don't shop there if I can help it. I avoid it if I can help it but most times...I don't have a choice. The entire structure and function as a store TOTALLY SUCKS!!!

Actually no star for this store at this location ( deep river Ontario Canadian tire ) Our car stock there and they didn't do anything to help at all ! They didn't even lend stuff we needed to fix the car ! They were supposed to be open by 5 pm on Saturday but they said they booked for the whole day and they can't help us and our case was emergency ! I don't like the store specially the garage ! As a human being they should be there to help not just ignore us and tell us don't make a mess stuff like that ! The customer service is below the zero there ! I’ve been to this Canadian Tire a few times for minor work on my car. Staff is always polite and friendly. I recently was quoted a reasonable price to get my breaks done from another shop and over the phone got a similar quote from this Canadian Tire. I decided to go with Canadian Tire and dropped off my car. After the work was done I was surprised that the total was actually $60.00 less than what they had told me over the phone. The work was also done in a timely manner even though they had to bring in a part and somehow managed to order it and bring it in the same day within the span of 3 hours. Kuddos!

Impressed! I decided to try to take a drive out to your store which is 20 minutes away from the store in my city. After placing an online order with the local Niagara Falls store Sunday night for store pickup. (for something in stock) I heard nothing for a week and could not call the store as all it said was voicemail full and nobody would answer. Even though it meant losing the sale price as it had ended the prior day i decided to call from the parking lot to the Welland store. After only 2 rings keeping in mind this was the first official day you could shop in store in over a month, Steve at the customer service answered and what an absolute delight he was to deal with! He took care of my needs checked availability for me and then had it brought up to the customer service desk. I waited in line and when I walked in Steve was there with a smile on his face and my smoker on the cart already! To top it off he even honoured the sale price for me which I was not expecting. I will continue to drive the extra 20 minutes because of the incredible customer service I received from Steve and the team. He is proud of his work and his team and it comes through in the way he treats customers and staff. where I work we pride ourselves on customer satisfaction and Steve shows that pride for the store. What a great asset Steve is. He didn't just want the sale he wanted a customer and you have one in me for sure! Thanks from your new customer Ralph!! Please let your staff know to show my appreciation, if they need a Hyundai or Nissan I will give them VIP partnership pricing at either of our Niagara Falls locations. Really really disappointed with the customer service here. I purchased a bike here and the staff seemed disinterested in their jobs and annoyed that I needed their assistance to get a bike down. I then needed assistance with removing my front tire of the bike to fit it in my car and they said we would have to remove it due to liability reasons which we understood and said that was fine as I knew how to remove the tire. The staff that I had been dealing with brought up the wrong tool twice and then removed my front tire by himself anyway after being told not to by management with the incorrect tool and stripped the bolts to the bike that I had just purchased. We mentioned this to management and she denied it ever happened and refused to look at cameras because her staff ‘never removed it’ even though me and my partner both stood there while he did. The service was overall disrespectful and very disappointing, we ended up dealing with our issues regarding the purchase at a different Canadian tire location as we didn’t feel comfortable continuing our purchase at that location after such a ordeal. Will not be returning to this location for anything… extremely disappointing.

Welland Canadian Tire, as always, was excellent. I had to do a return and then pick up an online order. I was in and out in 10 mins. While I didn't have my receipt for my return, luckily the purchase was made using my Canadian Tire credit card, and so it was super simple for the clerk to look up my original transaction.

Today I tried to buy a new battery for my lawnmower by going through the auto entrance. After all that is where the batteries are kept. I could not get into the store without a tremendous amount of trouble. I am in a walker as I have a broken ankle. Turnstiles cannot be used in a walker but it did say to use the other side, which I did but that side does not open and if it did there was a bin of goods in front. Seems Cdn Tire wants you to walk through their entire store even if you are in a walker or wheelchair. I bought my battery and by the time I got to the car after all that walking I was and still am in a lot of pain. Thanks Cdn. Tire. Can't say when I'll be back.

I was at my wits end. Had a Canadian Tire product I had purchased that required a replacement part. I tried and tried from Montreal to the US to China to source it with no luck. Finally I gave up and went to the store. They were able to locate my purchase without a receipt and upon listening to me the Manager offered to swap it out for a new one. I was extremely relieved. Had a terrible experience at the Port Colborne Location. Came to welland and they sorted things out straight away and treated me like a valued customer. While waiting for them to bring out my pressure washer from the back I browsed the store. The staff were amazing. Asking what they could help me with. I ended up buying a bunch of stuff because they were just so darn awesome how could I not. I’m a business owner and manager and I can tell you this is how to run a successful business. What an awful curbside experience. Throughout COVID the worst curbside pickup I've had yet. Was the only person in the queue for my order and still nobody came outside after 25 minutes. Had to go in through the opposite end of the store, and was also lectured by staff for jogging across the store to get my order. Will be telling everyone I know not to use this service here.

Wow! So I went today for tire service and the auto manager Rob was extremely nice and honest about the wear happening on my car due to its alignment issues. Because I still had the protection from when I originally bought the tires from this store, he offered me an alignment and 4 new tires put on, essentially for the price of 1! On top of that, they drove me home so I could wait there and get some other things done until the work was complete. Amazing service, very happy I went in the store today!

I would give zero stars if it was possible. My wife wrote an email complaint to the store owner last week about a terrible experience we had with the clerk who was on duty at the service desk. Have not heard a word from the owner as of yet, five days later. I noticed that the owner only seems to respond to the good reviews on the web site. Some of the staff need retraining in the customer service department. I will no longer be shopping here in Elliot Lake at this Canadian Tire store, I will now be going to Espanola if I really need anything from Canadian Tire.

Unfortunately they would not let me give them a zero star rating, I recently took my Cadillac to Canadian tire for an alignment, keep in mind that I just had 100 point check at one shop another to have tires balanced and installed for winter, and yet another shop to have a tie rod end replaced, hence needing the alignment, all three shops checked the suspension and steering components and all of them told me the car was solid. My wife dropped off the car at the service center to have the alignment done, all they did was ask her for the keys, she went shopping for a bit half an hour later they called her and told her that they were running a little behind that it would be a little longer, no other words were spoken. She picked up the vehicle when it was done drove it home, parked it. The next day I took it out for a drive to run some errands and the whole front end was rattling, so I took it back into Canadian tire, they put it up on the rack and then told me the car now needs 3 ball joints a bearing and a stabilizer bar. The car did not come in with these problems, because if it did they should not have done the alignment in the first place. If it did have any of these problems with it, the procedure at any shop, is to call the owner and tell him or her, that a problem exists and that the alignment shouldn't be done until the problem is taken care of, otherwise you're doing an alignment on a loose wheel and will only need another alignment once the problem is fixed. But I'm not taking this laying down, I am having professionals look at my vehicle, & I will take the appropriate legal action once that is done. To cover their behinds they told me that I only asked for an alignment, nothing else, but before I spoke to them I had called another Canadian tire enquiring about their procedures, and they told me that it is regular procedure to check all the steering components and wheels foreplay before you do an alignment. I would think twice about taking my car to the service center at this particular Canadian tire. And to top everything off they called my wife a liar. They lost my business. I will drive to St Catharines or Niagara Falls before I ever step inside those doors again to purchase anything. I am very disappointed. I used to shop there a lot, instead of doing the right thing and making right a mistake made by one of their employees,(everybody makes them) they would rather lie, call their customers liars, all to save a few bucks. WOW!

Bought a TV there 65 sharp it stop working but because I through out the box they will not return it. So make sure you keep the box till your warranty runs out. Maybe the manager should tell people this every time you but at T V get the giant box it comes in around. They got good gear and clothes for guys and gals for all seasons of hunting and fishing and the coolest new products at reasonable prices. Tools are no hassle return policy if broken. They keep the customers happy and loyal. The automotive department is just as good. Tires prices go on sale often. Reliable car/truck service, honest and easy to read work invoice. Comfy waiting room while your vehicle gets worked on and you can see the work being done. Called on many occasions to have work done or tire changed and I’m in the same day or within the same week. And now dog friendly. Way to go!

This last visit to Canadian Tire was awful. We were to pick up a kayak, which was purchased as a gift and to be picked up today. We went there and the kayak was nowhere to be found!! Five or six employees muddled about for over an hour, with no success finding the paid for kayak! My partner, because of a trip planned this week, purchased another kayak at $100 more than the one purchased, as a gift. Further to that, last Fall, I purchased 4 tires and some other items valued at over a thousand bucks. When I got to the till, the cashier asked me for around $300. I mentioned that couldn't be correct. She could not have charged me for the tires, which were $600. After a few minutes, fussing with the till, she assured me that the amount was indeed around $300. I paid her but when I got to my car, I could not leave the parking lot. I went back to the store, explained what had just occurred. I insisted there was an error and paid the $600 for the tires!! Cashier training: fail!!

I have been to several canadian tires dozens of times in my life and have never encountered someone as hostile as the manager Sarah at this location. She was very aggressive even when I tried to be extremely kind and give her excuses she was snappy, rude, shut me up and only escalated the situation as opposed to de-escalate. I truly pray for her and think this location should strongly consider some additional training or a new manager. It pains me to write this but something should be done. All of the other staff were kind and we had very pleasant interactions.

I stopped on a long drive to get fuel because i was almost empty. Did a pre authorized transaction at the pump and then tried to pump fuel. Absolutely nothing came out so I stopped trying to pump and saw the pump slowly increment as if it were giving me fuel. I went inside and told the millennial attendant what happened to which she responded ‘Ive never seen that before... thats a transaction you did outside. What do you want me to do about it’ She didn’t find it believable my receipt for 0.17 cents was maybe the result of a problem. I guess she thought maybe i was trying to scam .17 cents of fuel.... she asked what i wanted her to do so i asked if she could leave a note for someone who cares about the business like a manager. She said no, because ‘she has never seen that before ‘ I asked if she could explain why its not pumping any fuel at all. She said no, try it again - it will work. And repeats that she ‘has never seen that before’ I ask if she wants to come outside and see it right now. She says no. Im at the closest pump to the front door. So like a fool i go do the same thing. No fuel, and after i stop pumping it keeps charging me a few cents every few seconds. This time i video tape it. I want to walk back in and show her at first but it occurs to me, she doesn’t care in any way. She refused to walk ten feet to see it, or even look at the camera. So i leave and make a dangerous drive on fumes to a real gas station. Also i called my bank and reversed the charges, wrote this review and will share this story on facebook.

I’d been waiting longer than usual for caa in a utility trailer with a bad back in 30degree humidity, leaving a very emotional situation. Second time shopping July 13, didn’t have what I wanted. NO ONE being told going wrong way & Many going wrong way. Found top I like but purchased wrong one. Ordered online next day. They canceled order no longer in stock. I stop in 3days later &find multiple units in stock. Lazy? Don’t care? I’m no longer shopping at 118 Welland. They don’t care about the store. The men don’t care or have compassion, the Ladies do. Decent location. Have had minor issue returning NOMA Christmas Lights and wound-up losing a year of the warranty because when I returned them - the packaging had changed. Quite ridiculous despite having the original receipt and the boxes. The lights were only 1 season old.

Completely useless since covid. You might as well shop at Amazon as you will get better service there. Nobody will answer the phone and if they do, they'll just transfer you to someone that doesn't answer their phone. Update: I called the number that was given to me. It's just a generic Canadian Tire phone number. I was put on hold. Probably "because of Covid".

The people are wonderful and friendly. I know most of them by name. You have an issue? They will go out of their way to get what you need. The large Manager (Dan) exemplifies what customer service is all about. He is bilingual and very customer oriented. Another Dan works in automotive and at first glance he looks gruff but he is not and will assist you in any way. Overall I love the atmosphere in the store. Keep up the good work folks.

Most of the staff are friendly and helpful, they do the best they can with the limited space they have. One cashier, who I assume is the head cashier, is extremely rude and overbearing. On several occasions I've witnessed her belittle and berate other cashiers and customers, including myself on one occasion. I've heard her talk about customers who were only a few feet away at the next cash register. She needs to be fired ASAP. I WILL be talking to the manager the next time I witness such disgusting degrading behaviour. It's nice to see the new managers fire some of the other ignorant people especially those who worked in the parts department for so long.

You can find some items that are cheaper than Walmart but you have to be very selective and know your prices/quantities. Their kids bike selection is poor hence the 4 star rating.

Complete joke. Staff has no idea what's in stock and if they do they have no clue where it is. Then when you ask them to find something they hide till you leave. Assuming you can even get an employee to acknowledge you at all.

The Canadian Tire "Welland" location is conveniently located off the 406 in Welland and never is there an abundance of traffic. The store is very large, bright and fresh. The managing staff are long-term Canadian Tire Employees and foster a great team environment. The staff are all knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. I support Canadian Tire and have for many years. I purchase most of my tools from Canadian Tire, with their warranty and return policy, its a no-brainer to buy your tools local. The staff may also help you out with the last sale price on your tools and toolboxes, which is extremely helpful to anytime you need a new tool or tools, for work or home. Canadian Tire Welland is involved in the community with different projects and efforts. I'm happy to support Canadian Tire.

We stopped in at this Canadian tire on route from North Bay to Ottawa. Needed newly installed snow tires retorqued. The guys in the auto service not only took care of us immediately, but "no charge". What a lovely surprise that we would receive such lovely and complimentary service, ensuring a safer ride the rest of our day at. I've been to a lot of Canadian Tire stores, but this one is by far the best. Huge selection of outdoors gear that I haven't seen anywhere else. The fishing section is 3-4x the size of your average Canadian Tire.

Canadian tire now sells mostly cheap junk. In a small community we depend on this store for small electrical, plumbing, and hardware. Always sold out of many items. I shop elsewhere when ever possible now. Sad to not support a local business
