He went to see, under the advice of the CLSC, this podiatric clinic. In addition to the more than usual welcome and after a 45-minute wait, we were received. The doctor is still nice and diagnoses 2 ingrown toenails (1 on each big toe) And that must be treated immediately, NOTHING ELSE. OK .... 25 min later and 2 scissors (nothing else) in the toes we go out and we are told a price of $ 675 !!! At no time were we asked if we had the means to advance or pay such a sum !! But hey now we have no choice. After a few days, I notice that one of the toes doesn't seem to heal. 2 weeks later, follow-up consultation, the doctor diagnoses on THE SAME TOE initially treated another ingrown toenail (on the other side of the toe): not another toe, not a different problem, NOT the same toe and it was not able to see it within 1 cm of the cut part 3 weeks earlier. For the price, I would have expected a full check in on the initial visit. And there, $ 375 for another part of the nails cut. 2 days later, we went to see my partner's family doctor, he said to stop going and even had to remove a nail debris under the skin of this same toe because it was forgotten by the so-called specialist "podiatrist". So for $ 1150 for 40 min of consultation and 3 scissors and a bad job done, you may be better off seeing a knowledgeable GP first to get a first opinion before it's too late. I have never witnessed such a highly questionable skill. (Original) Si un rating négatif était possible c'est ce que je mettrais. Mon chum est en chaise roulante et ne sent donc pas ses pieds. Il est parti voir, sous les conseils du CLSC, cette clinique podiatrique. Outre l'accueil plus qu'ordinaire et après une attente de 45 min , nous sommes reçus. Le médecin est quand même gentil et diagnostique 2 ongles incarnés ( 1 sur chaque gros orteil) Et qu'il faut traiter immédiatement, RIEN D'AUTRE. Ok .... 25 min plus tard et 2 coups de ciseaux (rien d'autre) dans les orteils on sort et on nous annonce un prix de 675$!!! A aucun moment on nous a demandé si on avait les moyens d'avancer ou de payer une telle somme!! Mais bon maintenant on n'a pas le choix. Au bout de quelques jours, je remarque que l'un des orteils ne semble pas guérir. 2 semaines plus tard, consultation de suivi, le médecin diagnostique sur LE MÊME ORTEIL initialement traité un autre ongle incarné ( de l'autre côté de l'orteil): pas un autre orteil, pas un problème différent ,NON le même orteil et il n'a pas été capable de le voir à 1 cm de la partie coupée 3 semaines plus tôt. Pour le prix , je me serais attendu à un check complet lors de la visite initiale. Et là, 375$ pour une autre partie d'ongles coupée. 2 jours après, on est allés voir le médecin de famille de mon conjoint, il a dit d'arrêter d'y aller et a dû même retiré un débris d'ongle sous la peau de ce même orteil car oublié par le sois disant spécialiste "podiatre". Donc pour 1150$ pour 40 min de consultation et 3 coups de ciseaux et un travail mal fini, vous êtes peut être mieux de consulter un généraliste compétent en premier pour avoir un premier avis avant qu'il ne soit trop tard. Je n'ai jamais assisté à une telle compétence hautement questionnable.
