I needed an emergency procedure because of lodged food in my esophagus. Dr Vivian was very nice and competent.His attitude and demeanour helped through the nightmare of almost drowning in my own saliva. I would highly recommend him as a doctor.

After four years of suffering with gastric distress, my family doctor sent me for an cat scan and an appointment with Dr. Vivian. He reviewed the scan and said that I had a stone in my bile duct. This was surprising as I don't have a gall bladder. He set me up with an appointment to have it removed in few weeks. The procedure was painless and by the following day, I was feeling great. Excellent diagnosis, quick action and wonderful results. Highly recommended.

I recently had a referral and a visit to see Dr. Vivian to further my diagnosis of Celiac disease. After waiting over 2 months and making the trip from Surrey to Chilliwack, I was expecting some help. What I got was a doctor who seemed more concerned about getting me out of his office as fast as possible, not caring to get my history and/or even ask how I was feeling. I was told that my symptoms don't fit with Celiac and that if I'm not feeling better after being gluten free for a month than I probably don't have Celiac. I asked what else would cause me to have such a high celiac antibody count and he said "NOTHING". Slightly contradictory??? I was booked for a scope and biopsy and sent packing as swiflty as can be. I have never been made to feel more unimportant, disrespected, and belittled by any medical "professional" in my entire life. It is sad that people like me are suffering so much, and all we want is some answers and some help via our medical system, and this is what we get instead. Words cannot describe my frustration....

Went to Dr. Vivian Twice. First time had me do blood tests and stool sample. Waited two months for this. When I came back a month later, told me they found nothing. I told I was still having severe pain, and asked if it could be food related. Highly unlikely he said. So what could be causing it I asked. No response in that respect. Said he could do a colonoscopy, but wouldn't find anything. I asked again, what could be causing it. Didn't answer it, asked what I felt and mentioned I should continue taking pills my family doctor prescribed. I felt he was more interested in pushing medicine and not really finding out the cause of the problem. My recommendation is go to someone else.
