This Doctor belongs to the category of Doctor.
AMAZING service and communication. Wonderful client treatment and accommodating to all ages and ability.
The doctor actually took the time to listen to what I had to say. Even though he is not my family doctor I felt like he genuinely cared and wanted to help. We didn’t feel like just another number in his waiting room. Overall very kind staff. Thank you Spectrum Medical!
Went in this morning because my daughter has been complaining that her ears are blocked and she has a sore throat. Dr. Google says that these 2 things are connected. As soon as the office staff heard sore throat we were asked to leave. A different clinic listened to what we were saying and checked her out. Turns out she has inflamed tonsils and an ear infection. A few questions and listening to us would have prevented us from having to drive to the only other open clinic on the other side of town.
If you have any conservative values or appreciate a knowledgeable doctor I suggest going elsewhere. His personal views definitely show in his advice and expectations. I have never had a doctor not have an answer for me and have to use Google as much as Dr.Joneson. after calling and leaving messages asking for a phone consultation to renew a prescription, mentioning that I was nearly out and in need, he neglected to call back and went on vacation. Never in my 40 years have I been as frustrated and disappointed with a doctor. As difficult as it is to find a doctor these days, I will not be returning to this office. As for your response, your evidence based opinions are greatly disputed by many others in the medical community, and the fact that you disregard that based on your own personal opinion tells alot. Also from looking at another review on here, I'm not the only one that has dealt with Dr.google. When it comes to my inability to get a phone appointment, for you to say that you don't have time for a 5 minute phone call to refill a necessary prescription is sad. Way to go the extra mile. And don't call me a liar. Messages were left nicely explaining my situation. Thanks for being so professional! Good riddance!!!
Had a wonderful experience with this office. My family doctor couldn’t see me for a few days and I tried 3 different walk in clinics that had already filled up for the day. This clinic took me in and quickly diagnosed me... he took the time to understand my health history, listen to the symptoms I was having and answer all my questions. The entire process... from calling them about availability to having a prescription in my hand... took less than an hour! I am so thankful!
It's pretty good place they take their jobs very seriously and it's good place to be
Very welcoming staff! Dr. Joneson was professional and kind. I felt he listened to the concerns I had and had my best interests at heart. I would highly recommend him. He has also seen my daughter and he was very good with her and made her feel comfortable.
My wife and I are extremely happy to have Dr. Joneson as our family doctor. He has made a huge difference, especially to my wife, who had felt alone battling some issues until we got him as our doctor. He cares and goes the extra mile. We have nothing but great things to say and feel lucky to have him as our family doctor.
I've been in and out of hospitals and Dr's offices my entire life. Open heart surgery as a baby and severe childhood traumas along with mental illness , I've had a difficult time figuring out. I've had good Dr's who have helped me along the way and I'm grateful for all of them. However I believe Dr. Joneson has by far been the best. He has been a significant part in positive change in my life as well as my wife's. These kinds of things don't happen over night. It's been a grind, perserverence and incredible work on his end, it's why I am doing well. My wife, the kids and myself are extremely happy to have him as our Dr and hope he knows how grateful we are. Taylor and other staff have been nothing short of amazing as well. I've never been more impressed or satisfied with their compassion in their service. We appreciate you as well Lots of love The Browns
Great Dr. that always listens to you. When you bring in your kids he listens to them. Doesn't just order test, and prescribe medications to get you in and out fast, but takes a complete history and works to understand the entire issue, and plan future treatment accordingly. Outstanding treatment for my entire family.
Edited in response to an "apology" It seems, doctor, that you are not interested in best care, nor truthful representation. Clearly every "apology" sent out in response to an unfavorable review is merely used to paint yourself or staff in a favorable light and to lecture your patients. Please be clear, myself and family HAVE been to this clinic multiple times including a visit 1 month prior to this incident in which YOU DID meet me with my son. This is the reason I attempted to return since your assessment "it's a virus, let's watch and wait" had actually advanced to needing referral to ENT, and months of steroid treatment. Furthermore, your staff showed no interest in finding solutions from the second I propped open the door - and in fact I never even got both feet in the door so I highly doubt that anyone was feeling threatened. And the BERATING was initiated when I was told to be glad I didn't have to pay for this poor experience. I clearly got the impression that feathers were ruffled because I was asking for reasonable solutions and not accepting the response "I can't help you". As for expletives down the sidewalk... yes, there was ONE in response to the most condescending "have a nice day!" as I stepped into my car parked directly in front of the office. So if you care to apologize, then do so. If not, don't pretend you are. Don't bother with phone appointments. I called at 10 am to make an appointment for my sick son. I was told the doctor would call between 1and 3pm. That's good... I waited patiently for the call. 3:30, no call so I called to check we were still on the list. Yes we were, now the time was changed to 4pm. At 4:21 I had a call that went straight to message because it wad a private number. I called back immediately and the office was closed. I pulled into the clinic since I was right there and the clinic manager was the rudest "health care" worker I've encountered. Clearly, I was frustrated about the experience and expressed as much. She was curt and rude and had the gall to say that she should charge ME for a NO SHOW appointment. I asked her to have the doctor call for first appointment tomorrow, which she outright refused. She then got within 6 INCHES of my face (hello social distancing?) and told me we were no longer welcome there and she would call the police if I didn't leave immediately. Disgraceful care! Maybe call from a business line so that patients have a chance to answer, or at least let them know you'll be calling from an unknown number. Day wasted, now more resources misused as we're off to emerge. Great job guys. ????????????
Dr. Joneson has been my go to walk in clinic doc for a few visits now. Three times he has provided care to my children when i couldn’t get into see my family Doctor and the ER was not warranted. He validated my concerns, established a trust with my kids, answered my questions, provided clear parameters for when to return, follow up with my doc or go to emerg. His diagnosis was accurate, and treatment effective. I highly recommend dr joneson for any family.
I appreciate that I was able to get the help I needed the same day I called. Professional and friendly. I definitely recommend Spectrum!
Dr. Joneson is to me what a physician is all about. He listens, takes his time, and asks prompting questions. He doesn't just whip out a prescription pad to give pills. The staff is accommodating and friendly so waiting 3 weeks for an appointment just doesn't happen. Thank you for accepting our big family!!!
BEST MEDICAL SERVICES SO FAR IN CANADA
Very bad, made an appointment to see Doctor one week before but when I am at their office, they said it's not scheduled at all, very bad
Dr. Joneson and Taylor(LPN) are amazing, knowledgeable, caring , efficient and treat the whole person as well as their illness. I feel fortunate to have such outstanding medical care.
Darren is a fantastic Dr and genuine human being who places his heart in to his work. Darren is always willing to listen and act upon what he hears and I am grateful that my family get to call him our Dr.
9 years ago I moved here from Winnipeg….. coming from somewhere I had the same family dr (who helped deliver me as a infant) i was worried about not having a dr cause I had an infant at time. And that’s what happened I bounced between walk clinics to the ER and back again. All the care was fantastic but I was worried anything serious were to happen. And I got pregnant again…. My Obgyn was the only dr that stuck with me that last 4-5 years… my 4 year old had her last check up at 6 weeks?!! Insane…. Couldn’t find a dr…. Frustrating as heck! Fast forward last year my friend told me dr Was taking new patients yay! When he said sure to bring our dr! I was happy! I have nothing but good things to say! Always get in fast and I have at most waited 10 mins….. oh and my 4 year old finally got a check up! :)
You get the personal touch, so you don't feel rushed in and out like cattle.
Amazing service and best staff ever! Great family doctor and perfect for all medical needs. Would highly recommend for all!
Hi everyone/staff of spectrum medical I advice you all to please don't go to this doctors office the staff is very disrespectful to there Clients ( without giving me an answer stating why I was disrespected by the staff And how my family was treated by the (moa) me and my family were completely disrespected my mother is a moa herself and she has never spoken to anyone like how I was spoken to that way. No one deserves to be treated this especially at a doctors office where there supposed to be kind and help people with there health issues or concerns but this office does none of that. I came in while I was pregnant with my son in 2020 and the doctor refused to see me because I had a boil on my behind and he told me to go to the hospital I had gone to another doctors office prior to this happening because it was a recurring thing and they were more then happy/welcome to help me but spectrum medical refused to help me then charged me 30 dollars f fee . So please to everyone's best judgment if you decide to go to this doctors office I advice you don't go there cause they will disrespect and not care about your well being!! Have a blessed day! I pray that the (moa) of this office doesnt treat others or your family the way you treated me and my family! This is absolutely the worst doctors office! And we'll as the staff!!
Dr. Joneson is personable, a wonderful listener, and empathetic to any concerns or questions I may have, He is not arrogant or condescending and takes time to understand. I am very fortunate to have Dr. Joneson as my family doctor alongside his awesome team!
no caller id, charged me even though i couldn’t call back.
Darren is a rare physician in 2021. He actually listens to what you have to say and explains what he is doing, not just write a prescription and send you packing. The light therapy that he has onsite is also a big bonus for those of us with certain skin ailments. His friendly assistants make it easier too.
While waiting to see the doctor I could hear the nurse and the front desk clerk gossiping about me. I have to say it made me feel immediately uncomfortable. I did have a very good experience the first time I used this office, but after the disrespectful behaviour I think I’ll keep looking for another place.
Went in complaining about an allergic reaction to the Covid 19 vaccine. The front staff refused to allow a doctor to see me and said no doctor anywhere will see me unless I come back with a negative covid test. They didn't even suggest I go to emergency. Very unprofessional.
