Wonderful walkin clinic, the ladies at the desk were very welcoming. 3 people ahead of me so I got seen by the doctor in 15 minutes, this was around 3 o'clock today. Awesome doctor too. If needed I would go again.

I went to the walk in and they Were rude, the doctor made me feel disgusting and unwelcome, I just moved here and My old doctor is in a different city and I have no car, he said he was sending the results to my doctor and he didn't want to see me again(his words exactly), I clearly said I need to know my results its important and then rushed me, and made me feel like an animal. I will NEVER go back there again.

Yes, we waited two hours to see a doctor but over all, it's a pretty nice for a walk in clinic. Clean and nicely decorated. There's a TV in the waiting room. The doctor we saw was friendly and helpful. Will be going back..

The doctor I've seen since moving here last summer 2018 and he has not looked me in the eye, nor has he and his staff taken my blood pressure, my heart rate, my temperature. His eyes are glued to his computer. When I told him I had a history of cardiac problems, he did once look at me and said "You look fine ." To date I have been far from impressed. Dr. Kroeze is the Worst doctor there, refuses to listen to you in anyway, when i looked at my test results online ( because they don't call you when they get them ) and when i mentioned something that concerned me, to him he said with a gross attitude " im the doctor your not", Hes called me and chewed me out for speaking with other doctors *walk ins and babylon by telus* on days he wasn't open, he prescribed me anxiety meds, and when i went to get a refill he wouldn't give it to me. theres a few other doctors there who are WAY better, so if you do use this medical clinic i do not recommend Kroeze AT ALL. Nothing but problems with him, i could go on.

Been there a few times when I could not get into my own family clinic. They got me to see a doctor quite quickly considering I didn't have an appointment. Appointment was quick but still took enough time to listen to my concerns. Very pleased tlwithe the service provided.

Dr. Kroeze is simply the rudest, most disgusting person, and I don't know how is still a doctor. I had him scream at me, throw papers, and walk out and slam doors. He is is disgrace to the medical profession and I don't know why he has a license to practice. No stars, but I had to give one. Its for the building.

Horizon Medical is absolutely the worst medical establishment in Chilliwack. Good luck trying to reach them, because their phones instantly go to voicemail. When I left a voice message asking to make an appointment with a doctor, they had a doctor call me numerous times while I was working and was left with two rude voice messages about not answering their call. When I told this clinic the time of day I'd be able to take their call, I was told "No, specific calling times do not work for us", however they expect you to answer their call on a whim. When I was finally able to make an appointment after about two weeks of phone tag, Dr. Kroeze did not embody any of the characteristics that a family doctor should have. Yelling at patients and interrupting them while they speak is absolutely not acceptable. You have a code of ethics Jan Kroeze, your patients do not. When Dr. Kroeze refused to help me with my conditions, he swung the door open at me and said "Bye." I have never been so appalled at a doctors behaviour and I hope that nobody else has to experience the absolute lack of care and ignorance from this clinic.

Outstanding clinic! Really great staff, everyone I spoke to attended to my concerns. I’m new to the city and had an urgent health issue. They arranged an appointment over the phone within a couple hours and sent my prescription to the pharmacy right away. Not sure why there are so many bad reviews but I strongly recommend this clinic if you’re in Chilliwack area. Thank you everyone at Horizon Access, you’ve made this such an easy process for me :)

Thanks for wasting my time and gas since your Website is telling everyone you are open Monday night from 5-9pm and I go down there in desperate need to get a script filled and the doors are locked and no one is there! Why can't anyone update the Website to let the public know your correct hours! This is not good at all.And now cause you and all the other walk in clinics are closed in Chilliwack this Monday night you folks are now making people go to the Chilliwack hospital which they don't need.I just hope this gets better.

Receptionist was great... Doctor Jan Kroeze is quite the horrible person to say the least. I came in for just a prescription for hand cream that I need during the winter months, he then proceeded to try and persuade me into getting all these blood tests that I was not ok with, and ignored my comments refusing them. He made a very large amount of snarly remarks in a sadistic and laughing manner about all the pains I have endured with all my spinal injuries over the years... He also suggested I use my family dr instead of a walk in, I told him that I have very bad rapport with my family dr and I don't even consider him my dr anymore as he took over Weatherston's practice a couple years ago in 2017 and Kreuger is a brutal doctor. Long story short I begged and pleaded him for a ct scan for years on my spine and he refused to give me one every single time and just told me to stretch and I would get better. Finally got a ct from another doctor years later and it came out that I had a couple herniated discs in my L5 S1 areas..... Jan Kroeze laughed quite a bit during that story, and even tried to tell me that it was impossible as Kreuger apparently "just started 6 months ago" yet I have paperwork from visiting him 2-3 years ago... At the end of the day this Jan Kroeze doctor is just unethical, immoral, incompetent, sadistic, and just an overall horrible doctor. I really hope for everyone health and safety. This guy gets his license revoked asap.

Went to the clinic just now to be turned away because "there's no walk-in today". Says online that they're open. Went a couple weeks ago with someone and the doctor interrupted her mid-sentence and gave her a bigger, more expensive bottle of medication than she asked for.

I honestly have no idea which doctor it was who spoke to me in the most condiscending tone anyone has ever taken with me. I am embarassed to have even waited for two hours just to be ridiculed by this visit. Unreal. I almost died on the weekend, and I'm trying to follow up with some serious medical issues. To be treated as such, in a private and paid for visit is inhumane and despicable. This clinic is a joke.

Extremely slow to be seen. You could pull a number 3 away and then be stuck sitting and waiting for over 2 hours. I get everyone needs a little more time....but this is extremely poor waiting times. There is no communication on how long waits are. I would strongly NOT recommend thus walk in clinic for any help....will there even be any pharmacies open to fill a prescription once they have seen you?!?! Warning: do not go

When I asked for a refill he went off the deep end on me I walked out he threw a bunch of papers at me in front of other people waiting to see him.. it made him look like an you know.

Consider all the 1-star reviews as being from bitter, frustrated people who are taking out their problems on the doctor. We found the staff at Horizon to be extremely helpful. I recommend this place.

Such a great clinic! Was dealing with some pretty serious issues because of the wildfire smoke and couldn't get in to see my doctor. Called and went to a few other walk-in clinics and couldn't get in and showed up at this clinic and they were able to get me in an hour after I showed up (which for clinics is pretty good). The front counter staff is amazing and super helpful, the doctor was professional and also helpful. I'm super impressed with his clinic and would definitely go back if needed.

Totally unresponsive when fill-in doctor Dr. Mark was faxed by Costco Wednesday to correct a prescription error. Same doctor was off duty Thursday so we called to inquire Friday morning to see if she could respond quickly since we are leaving for Mexico shortly. Friday afternoon called again to find the doctor had left for the day without contacting Costco. Husband now has to go to the walk-in clinic to see whoever he can to get another prescription and start all over again. Not good- we will be looking for another clinic.

I am extremely sorry for anyone who has Dr Nel as a family doc. My dad is currently a patient of dr.nel. He has been in Chilliwack general hospital for over a week and his immediate family lives in Kelowna. My dad has serious health problems and we as his family are trying to get updates on his condition.hospital says we need the doc to tell is medical updates and so we have repeatedly asked for this doctor to call us and repeatedly we have gotten no response. We know his test results are in and no communication from his doc. Apparently when a family member calls repeatedly to inquire about the status of the results as well to speak with the doctor it's called harrassment... This clinic is a joke. No compassion for the pts or the family. I would stop calling if I actually got to speak with the doc. He doesn't call a person back, so is a person supposed to get information. I guess my next step will be to drive from Kelowna and sit at this clinic until I get the info I'm seeking

I had gone to this clinic about 2 years ago and yeah the wait was annoying but I got everything I needed and was happy with how things went. I now have no doctor I can see, so I think of this clinic. (who use to be alright to go to) I had gone in for a week straight @ there walk in hours around 8-9. EVERYTIME there is a few people waiting but no PACKED. the redemptionest says the doctor has filled his patients for the day. Yes I do understand many people may need things from this doctor, but all I needed was a prescription refill. I asked the reseptionist politely, said it wouldn’t take no more than 5 minuets. She looked right at me and My bf and said the exact same thing. CRAZY CRAZY. will never go back again. Would NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE who has a busy schedule!! Waste of drive & TIME!!

We took our year old daughter to this walk in last night and they barely checked her out and said she was totally fine to go back to daycare the next day, and that she just had a common cold. Ended up taking her to emergency and she has pneumonia.

Had an excellent experience with this clinic. Reception staff were pleasant and professional. Gave accurate information on wait times. Doctor was also polite and professional. Be aware parking is limited so you may need to wait for a spot if they are busy. Glad we chose this clinic.

I don't post many reviews, i find most to be people whining. However, i made a trip into this clinic the other day with a rather sore lower back that persisted for over a week and in fact got worse, so off to the clinic i went (unable to get into my amazing Dr. Mark Mackenzie) Website was wrong - they don't operate as a "walk-in until after 5pm. However, the receptionist Team was terrific and got me in! They were very polite and my first impressions were great. Then I met Dr. Nel....... Not sure where a physician feels its appropriate to tell me I'm fat, I obviously don't exercise and my back problem is because I have poor core strength. All of that inside 2 minutes of meeting me for the first time. He actually patted my stomach while he used the word fat. In truth, I've lost 20 pounds since New Years, I am working on my core strength and do exercise regularly. I'm 225 lbs and 6 feet tall. My back pain was caused by shoveling too much snow (we try to do both of my neighbors each time too as they cannot). I actually wondered if this dolt of physician could possibly heal himself after I knock his teeth out but alas we're a civilized society so here i type! Arrogant is the word used over and over in his reviews - fits like a surgical glove! I recommend leeches, cod liver oil and a poke in the eye with a stick before I'd say go visit this physician!

Re: Dr. Thomas Nel. Today was my 1st encounter with a BC physician, as I just relocated here from Winnipeg. I was completely shocked by his condescending tone and attitude with me. Unsure if he treats all patients like Complete Morons. I have worked with professional health care staff for 35 years in Manitoba and never have I encountered such an Arrogant, self fulfilling individual - certainly has No people skills nor any ethics.

I Came in at 10am for a walk in for my 3 month old because of an infection in his eye and they told me I would have to wait 45minutes. So I asked if i make an appointment would I be seen quicker and they said " o yea very minimal wait. they suggested to make an appoiment for 215pm and so we did its 320pm and we are still waiting outside..... what the heck is the point on an appoiment ? The reviews speaks for them self. Doctors here are great It's just the time management of the reception sucks. Walkin or no walk in expect to wait for a long time. They don't know their number when it comes down to time management.

Please do not go here if you want good medical care. The doctors don't care, have fun getting to talk to a receptionist and if you do 90% of the time they are just blatantly rude, you will wait over 40 mins even if you have an appointment. Thankfully Dr.nel no longer works there as I have only seen him once and was absolutely terrible. Used to be my family doctor but will never be going back.

I took my 9 year old daughter in to the clinic around 7:20pm..asked if she could be seen since tbere was only a few ppl sitting there, the receptionist said " uhhhhh, i think I'll say no for tonight" i said " my daughter has a bladder infection and its not busy , could you squeeze her in "? She flat out looked at me and said not tonight . its now the next day and i finally found her a doctor to see at 2 pm , shes on a big antibiotic dose as shes peeing with blood in it today . honestly, if she would have been decent instead of snotty, my daughter could have had at least 3 doses of medication by now and possibly been feeling a tad better . ive been treated poorly at this walk in before , i will never go back ..EVER Who turns away a little girl without hesitation when she could have let her be seen ?!

The doctor in this clinic is really nice. He was very kind and helpful to us. He spend a lot of time checking up my daughter on our first walk in appointment with him. He seems to be so dependable compared to all other doctors we have worked with before. We like him so much. However, their staff Bev was extremely rude and mean. She seems to not love and understand the nature of her job that is why she acts that way. My daughter is really sick today and I called their clinic to set for an appointment. For some reason, Bev could not hear me properly and I can hear/feel how annoyed she is while asking for my details . I even heard her said "god" implying how irritated she is with me because she is having a hard time getting my daughter's birthdate. I then asked her, excuse me what did you just say, did you just say "my god" at me, and she went from rude to extremely rude. She dropped my call so I called her again this time she talks a little bit more calmly since she thought it was a different caller but when I said it was me again, she started reasoning out and telling me that it was because my daughter was so loud that she cannot hear me properly but that was not the case since my daughter was not yet noisy on the first seconds of my call with her. My daughter started getting loud towards the end of our call after I got upset with Bev saying "god" at me. Bev might have been having a tough day but I hope someone will remind her about patient/client service skills. Most people calling your clinic would most likely be sick or have a condition. Shouldn't you be more approachable and caring towards them? so let's say a person is sick and cannot talk properly, you will give that kind of service? expecting them to adjust to your own needs? rather than you as the receptionist adjusting to your clients?

I am always treated well here and have been going to Horizon Access for many years now, using it as a back up and now I have a doctor that is there so its super easy and a good place to be!! Some eves, there is abit of a wait, but it's always worth it! Thank you to the staff as well!! ????

Total incompetence regarding the office staff. We were accepted as patients with Dr.Coetsee (who is great) back in 2017. We had our family meeting with our new doctor and all was well. A couple of months later we called to book an appointment and were told Dr.Coetsee moved to Vancouver and that we were on a waitlist for a new doctor. I JUST discovered last month that Dr.Coetsee has been working at the clinic all along, part time. They THEN tried to tell us we weren't patients at their clinic!? Fast forward to October. Our 4 year old has chronic ear infections that antibiotics won't touch and urgently needs ear tubes. Mid October they faxed an urgent referral to the specialist.Today we call again to find out why it's taking so long and discover they faxed to in incorrect number! Of course now the specialist is away at a conference until the 26th! Is it acceptable to keep a 4 year old with a "raging ear infection" (words the doctor used) who is literally deaf from the fluid in his ears, waiting an entire month for help???? I am seeing red, we will be reporting to the college of physicians.

Dr Nel is a focused doctor but at the same time, you feel as if you are just an animal he is examining. On rare occasions, he misses about 50% of what you tell him, unless he is in very focused mode when he gets it all.

Thank you to the staff at horizon. They are willing to work when all the other medical staff in chilliwack take the evenings and weekends off. This is the only walk in clinic open after hours on the chilliwack side. Everytime I have been they have been rushed with long wait times yes, and sometimes even unable to accept patients during open hours. But with that said they are again THE ONLY walkin clinic open after hours and weekends. I am very grateful that the staff are here to help us at all. They have been direct and to the point each visit, trying to keep visits effective and short. This is so they can cut down wait times. They have always been willing to help me with my issues, but I also do not go to them for reoccurring issues (that's not the purpose of a walk-in) learn to ask for a referral if it is a reoccurring problem... Reading the other reviews I feel no one is taking a look through the staffs eyes...seriously, I cant imagine seeing 50 to 70 sick patients a day, let alone ones I knew NOTHING about, all the while realizing that if I dont get though this one in less then 15 the next ten patients are all going to be angry and treat me like it's my fault....how can anyone work well under those conditions

I am thoroughly disgusted at what occurred in this clinic today. A young lady came in obviously in pain. She was treated rudely by the staff at the desk. The conversation was heard by all. Her work sent her in as she had hurt her shoulder and needed to be checked out. They didn't accept her work medical and then proceeded to make fun of her for not having the money to give them for the appointment. They mocked her for not being able to take the prescription for pain medication because she couldn't afford to pay for it. Commenting you poor thing being so broke. What kind of professional does that and loud enough for everyone to hear. To those on shift today you should be ashamed of yourselves. So unprofessional, had you worked for me you would have been fired on the spot! Do Better!

I have had fantastic experiences with multiple doctors at this clinic as well as the front desk, both as a walk-in and regular patient for many years! Nurse practitioner Eliza Kroeze (daughter of Dr Kroeze) is absolutely AMAZING. I haven't found a doctor/nurse practitioner anywhere else that actually takes the time to listen, care and communicate. I can't express my gratitude enough for this clinic and the professional doctors that I've had contact with! Highly, highly recommend.

Came in to see if I could get a walk-in appointment for some abdominal pains and was instructed to wait outside in the cold for 15 minutes before being told that they were not doing walk-ins, only over the phone appointments. Why did it take you 15 minutes to tell me that? So after the receptionist explained that the doctor will contact me within 30-45 minutes, I went home to wait for the call. It's been over an hour now, and nothing. Please don't waste your time and go here. I know we're taking extensive precautions because of COVID but it should not excuse your lack of communication and care to your clients.
