I have been attending FYI Drs for the majority of my life, especially since needing glasses and I have always been treated with respect and kindness. The technician, Shelby helped myself and my wife and she was fun, gave us all her attention and time and opinion in a kind way. I was 4 mins late for my appointment. The people after me came early but hadn't gotten in yet. They then told me I would have to wait for that couple to go before I could go in even though the person before me wasn't finished. Not very good customer service. I never buy my contacts or glasses from them as it's way cheaper online. Make sure you ask for your prescription as they always try to keep it from you. My family will never be going back.

After receiving attitude from receptionist i decided to use IRIS who was pleasant to deal with and charge nothing for my daughter initial exam, while FYI charges $80. FYI could be amazing here but I'll never know because I will never consider them again.

After my prescription sunglasses were stolen I chose FYI Doctors to help me get a new pair. Frances, Patty, Shelby, and Sara were excellent. Patty and Frances helped book me an eye appointment for the next business day, while Shelby and Sara took the time to help me pick out my new frames and explain different lens options with me. I ended up with a new pair of sunglasses and I couldn't be happier. Edit: I almost forgot to add that Dr. Cullen was great as well! He made sure my vision needs were met and he explained how my prescription works as well.

went for an eye test yesterday @ the mary street location, I was only going to have my eyes checked for health reasons not needing a prescription. they didn't try and tell me I needed glasses. super impressed with all the staff there. great experience for a first timer like myself

The staff at FYI Doctors on Mary St in Chilliwack are phenomenal! I have been a patient there for many years, but recently had a corneal injury which left me unable to see with my left eye. The staff were so helpful and fitted me in to see Dr Asirvatham that morning, despite her already full schedule. She was very thorough and reassuring and took a lot of time to check my eye and made it a priority to find an ophthalmologist who could see me that same day. The staff were so patient and kind, making numerous phone calls on my behalf. Nothing was too much trouble and I felt truly cared for. Special thanks to "Dr Abby", Anne and Patti for making my eye health a priority and for being so genuinely helpful, caring and professional.

The entire staff at FYI on Mary Street goes the extra mile. You can tell that they genuinely care about pleasing their clients. They take extra steps for cleanliness and disinfection as well, which is highly appreciated. Great experience every time we've been there.

Customer service is not great ... current pair of glasses broken. Desperate for the new pair. FYi requested "rushed" but then 'cold shouldered'.... Perhaps the problem is with the optical lab where the lenses are actually made. Whatever the reason FYi seems not very considerate of customer p.o.v. Maybe OK if you're just upgrading current eyeglasses and have plenty of time...? But they never apologized or in any way acknowledged a problem. As for the glasses themselves, I was sold top end "expand your field of vision" progressives. It seems to be anything but ... I have never experienced such narrow tunnel vision.

Chilliwack, Mary Street FYI Eye Doctors Is the only place my husband and I go to for our eye care needs. We have moved all over BC and will travel across BC to this location for our eye care, they have even mailed our contact to us. Their staff are knowledgeable and friendly, especially Patti who has has a smile and warmth to her you can feel through a mask or over the phone. She makes the extra effort to ensure we are satisfied and comfortable with our purchases, but also genuinely really cares about her Customers.

The best experience I have had with an optometrist center. I have never been to one, and I needed my wife's glasses repaired. It was simple repair, and they finished it within about 20 minutes. Didn't ask for any money and they were very polite and accommodating.

Worst Costumer Service I experienced in over 10 years. I get prescription eye glasses every 2 years and decided to try this place even though it was more expensive than local Competitors like Sardis Optical, I regret wasting my time, shopping here was a inconvenient hassle. I’ve had contacts for 1.5 years and spent the first year struggling with them slipping. Recently, I was refit with contacts from FYI and they were patient and kind with me as I trialed multiple sets of contacts to find the right ones! I also bought some glasses from them and even though I hate wearing glasses and picking ones that fit me Lily from FYI helped me pick a pair that I actually love and don’t mind wearing! If you’re going to FYI I would seriously recommend going because you’ll be helped by some lovely ladies!

Have been going here for 30+ years. In recent years I feel like they want my money and don't treat me as a patient. Saying my son should get new glasses to Max out our insurance when we just got a pair a few months before. Find them very pushy to buy eye wear from them after getting the exam. It's really put me off to the point of looking for a new optometrist.

Story. My husband who is 84 years fell on July 31at at our Culus cottage and needed stitches in his ear brow and forearm. Also, he damaged the frames a d broke a lens of his glasses Thanks to Tom, who is very skilled and considerate, he agreed to repair my husband's glasses Aug. 2nd so that we could continue our holiday and we arranged to have his glasses replaced when we returned home in Victoria. I think it's near impossible to get better service at any other eye doctor than FYIdoctors Chilliwack. I've been going here for years and years, and each time I come back is better than the last. They clearly explain every step they perform, the doctors are always helpful through each step and offering their advice on different products, and the floor staff is more than willing to help with a big smile (even behind a mask!) when choosing your favourite pair of glasses. I can't recommend them enough.

My experience at FYI was excellent today. All Covid protocols were observed and my appointment took place, right on time. The staff I met were very efficient and welcoming. My eye exams were carefully done and everything was explained as they proceeded. Kevin Cullen, the optometrist, was excellent and he explained the test results. Without any pressure to purchase glasses at their clinic, I decided, on my own, to do so. Sara, helped me to choose my frames and offered several price points and options that were best for me. She was patient and very helpful. I left the clinic feeling I had had a positive experience so I highly recommend FYI

Happy counter-service very welcoming the doctor was top-notch answered my concerned questions very intelligently .He made double sure on every procedure s I like that. FYI does not back thier products that they sell. I bought clip in sun glasses which broke after a few times wearing them. i showed them my receipt and had to argue to have them replaced. Would not buy anything from them

Dr. Bauer looked extremely uninterested in my problem. He didn't even bother asking any questions or explaining anything regarding my concern. Just a quick prescription exam and even that was not done right. I ordered a pair of glasses based on his prescription. I wasn't happy with my vision using them at all and had to go to another optometrist to do a new eye exam. I ended up with a new prescription for both eyes.

But I had to edit it because now I'm more than pleased of the great customer service they gave me, I can say that they really care for their customers and they'll do whatever is necessary to satisfy you. Thank you very much to all of you but specially to Patti for the great service, I wont hesitate to recommend your clinic to all the people I know. I'm leaving my original comment so everybody can read what the problem was and so people know that after my review I was contacted by them and they were incredible in their customers service. "The staff was very nice and polite, no complaints there, my complaint has to do with the fact that after the doctor checked my eyes he told me that I had a 20/20 vision, my problem was that I spent a lot of time in front of a computer because of my job, so he prescribed me some moisturizing eye drops and told me that he could prescribe me some reading glasses if I wanted to, I told him that if they were going to help me that I would take them, he said they would so I ordered them, thankfully I have insurance so I didn’t have to pay too much but still had to pay some, and in this times that we’re living in a lot of us are trying to save as much as we can, anyway, a week after they called me to let me know they were ready and after I tried them they hurt my eyes, they are okay within 12 inches, but I don’t sit within 12 inches from my computer monitor, I called them and explained them what happened and they gave me another appointment, when I went and explained that to the lady she told me that they were only for reading, not for computer, that she could get me computer glasses but they were $270 more. I understand that the doctor told me that he could prescribe me “reading glasses “, but I told him that if they were going to help me with my problem that I will take them, and since I told him that I spend a lot of time in the computer I assumed that this “reading glasses “ were good for “reading” in the computer, so now I’m short $200 and stuck with a pair of glasses that I really didn’t need.

This FYI is the worst. Never open past 5:00 so absolutely impossible to get in if you work long hours. No staff. And you have to make an appointment to just pick out a pair of frames. Have got off work early on a Saturday , to only find out they are closed for inventory. If customers were import to you, would you not do your inventory in the evening. Would not recommend them to anyone.

We had a good experience here. We went with apart of the eye see, eye learn program with the schools. Staff were friendly eager to help look us at frames. Understanding our son not the most calmest guy. Not a lot of selection for what our coverage was only downside.

I walked into the exam, the doctor asked me how old I was, then told me i needed progressive lenses. He did not exam my eyes before this "assessment" and did not even ask me about my vision. He simply said I was getting to that age. Finally put me through the tests, said my eyes were not as bad as he thought but that I would still benefit from progressives. Then he walked me over to someone who told me I should spend 700.00 on lenses. I beat feet outta there, went to 2 other optometrists for their opinion and ended up with a mild prescription for near sighted glasses....... these guys should be ashamed.
