Was hesitant at first because it's my first time going for glasses in Canada (I'm a newcomer). I did not know what to do, but from having my eyes checked, up to getting my glasses, Holland Accu-Optical is the best! I appreciate Dr. Miriam's patience and knowledge. I asked her so many questions during the eye exam and she was wonderful with answering all of it. The eye check and the machines they use are also high-tech. They also check for glaucoma using a machine that spits air - not the best exp but it was great to know I don't have glaucoma. I was initially just going to get my glasses in an online shop, but everyone in this store is just very helpful and they found a frame that matched my style (I really like it) and did not break my wallet. I appreciate that they were SUPER helpful and they understood that I have limited budget and was glad to point me out to the glasses that fit my face and my price range. The frame was affordable and fantastically fits me. With the savings on the frame, I was able to get lenses that has all the protective coatings for UV, and does the transition and becomes sunglasses under the sun automatically! I also got the anti-glare so I can drive at night peacefully (still, please turn off your beam lights when approaching someone on the highway) Waiting for glasses took about 5 business days, but it was worth it. When we got our glasses, it just fit perfectly on first try! They also gave us some zero-fog to help with the fogs when we're wearing masks. It does help a bit (the fog goes out faster). Overall, I recommend Holland to everyone in Chatham and beyond. They are just super helpful, understanding, and was able to accommodate all my questions and my budget. This is my eye store now. 10 stars for everyone here! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ EDIT: How could I forget: They have a cute dog named Chip! He's as friendly as everyone here. I'm not going to pay my "pet tax" (meaning I'm not going to upload my pictures of him on this review) so you would go to the store and check him out yourself! He's got a nice mohawk haircut lol

Holland is a fantastic place to get glasses and sunglasses. I have shopped here for years. Al, Tasha and the whole team is wonderful. Family run businesses just seem to ‘get it’ and they treat customers like friends. I never feel rushed or pressured or ‘upsold’ on things I don’t need. I wear glasses every day, all day long so I need the best product available. They help me match what I need.

I'm honestly torn between a 4 and 5 star review. I gave it 5 because the staff are kind, but it close to a 4 because the prices are rather high. If you get 2 pairs of glasses, it's not as bad. However, everything is an "extra". Even trying to get a simple set of driving glasses with sunglasses add-on is complicated. The one thing that is really positive to note is the main eye doctor. He is extremely knowledgeable and I can't recommend him enough. So, if cost is not an option, or you love to shop for name-brand glasses, then this is a 5-star place.

I do not expect this center to be respected. I asked for glasses to be made for me two months ago, and after a week it was finished. But I did not feel comfortable wearing them. I asked for the bill to pay the bill. They told me that you do not have to pay until you are comfortable wearing the glasses. After two weeks, I still do not feel comfortable. They gave me an appointment to see the doctor again. But the dispute was that someone gave me an appointment, and after 3 days the secretary called me and gave me another appointment. I lost focus and was late. They told me you had to pay 50 dollars. And I discussed with the person the possibility of not paying, but in the end I will pay if I have to pay. The person called me today and said you have to pay, I told him I am ready, but if it is possible to deduct the 50 dollars and I am discussing with him, he told me this is a lie, so I asked him if I was lying, he said yes you A liar and he repeated it twice. I went to the juror at first, he denied that he said you are a liar, and then he repeated the word liar several times and I told him that you are a liar. He was a disrespectful man and he surprised me with his words. I paid the amount due and left the glasses and did not take anything. I wanted to tell my story so that every customer knows that this man in this center is disrespectful.

I have been to a few places in Chatham for glasses and this place is by far my favorite. Their customer service is beyond compare!! They have an amazing selection of glasses and go above and beyond to make sure you're happy.

This was probably the greatest customer service experience I've ever had. They will treat you like family. I had a young lady named Tasha help me find the perfect pair and now I actually look forward to wearing my glasses! so happy I made the decision to go to Holland optical.

Walked in to get my lenses upgraded to a full professive lense. I expected to pay $200 since that's what I was told over the phone by Tasha weeks prior. I walk in and the owner tells me it's $300. As soon as I questioned the price he got an attitude. It was immediate. Then he gets so frustrated that he rips his mask off and throws it down on the counter. Isn't it POLICY now that you HAVE to wear your mask? Especially being the owner! Very unprofessional and I could report him. So I was a bit thrown back at how the price changed. I explained to him I was told it was $200 over the phone. He shakes his head no and says "well, you can do what you want and get a cheaper lense, I'm just telling you you're not gonna get a good product". Before this he was writing something down as if I wanted it and he didn't even tell me the price until I asked! Very sneaky. I left and now I will go to Imperial Eyewear where I'm sure their prices won't change in a matter of 2 weeks and Imperial prices are wayyyy cheaper for the same exact lense, btw. I understand people have bad days but at least APOLOGIZE! He didn't even do that.

Tasha is great as it the Dr and the rest of the team, the lenses are not made of a cheap product so yes they may cost a bit more the difference is worth it. So its price or quality I chose quality there the only eyes I have
