An amazing surgeon and a wonderful person. Dr. Yammine’s expertise and the sincere care and compassion showed throughout my surgery/treatment was beyond all expectations. Anyone in need of an ENT with artful skills and a thorough detailed personal approach should look no further than Dr Yammine. In the end these words do not put into context how wonderful she truly is. Thanks Dr. Y
2h wait and staff was rude. Came in to see why i get random stabbing pains in my ears still, got told "idk" then she looks at my face and says i need to wash it better (I cant help that i have oily skin i already use a medication to treat it and its caused by a hormonal disorder.) So she tries to set me up with a nurse to talk about it, i say fine whatever cause i have time to kill before my ride gets here. Nurse doesnt even introduce herself or say hello just sits down with the products they are trying to push on me and starts telling me prices.(doesnt tell me what to do with them or how they work) When i tell her i cant afford the prices she gets up, takes the products and leaves without saying a word. So i sit there wondering if shes coming back with a pamflet or paper about the products to read about but nope, never comes back. I ended up waiting until i found another nurse to ask if i could leave because the original one never came back. Staff need to improve their people skills.
On Wednesday Sept 10th my 75 year old mother went in for a follow up CT scan of her throat. Dr Yammine said there was a large mass on the back of her tongue that needed surgery right away. She took the time to explain to me so I could tell mom what was going to happen. (My mom is almost deaf). That afternoon mom was booked for surgery to remove the tumor right away. After the surgery she came to talk to me in the waiting room to give me the news that she was almost positive it was the good cancer (lymphoma) Which if very curable. She has been amazing with her follow ups . When talking with her I can see how much she cares for her patients and will go over and above to get them back to the normal life again. My mom's care with doctor Yammine has been over the top amazing. Thank you Doctor Yammine for being an amazing Doctor !
I was referred to Dr. Yammine when my thyroid biopsy came back suspicious for precancerous cells within the gland. My initial contact was a telephone consult .She was extremely thorough with the information given to me ,and by the end of our conversation I was 100% prepared for my total thyroidectomy. Dr. Yammine is a wonderful, caring professional , who will take great care of you and your loved ones. I can only say positive things about CKHA hospital. Everyone I encountered was genuinely friendly and caring during my 2 night hospital stay. Unfortunatley I had a mild reaction to the sutures, however appointments were scheduled and the scar was repaired. I cannot thank Dr. Yammine and her staff enough for their excellent care. She is an amazing surgeon who not only takes great pride in her work, but also cares for her patients wellbeing! Thank you????
Had my ear repaired by Dr Khalil, fell apart, came back with hopes to have it repaired (did not get a call or email back for a surgury date) Came to dr Khalil for help again, this time with Tonsil issues Ive had for 8+ years, did not take my condition seriously and I waited weeks for the "surgical removal" I was told by staff would happen during the visit.. Dr Khalil took a look and said they were not bad (tonsil stones galore, swelling, difficulty swallowing and breathing) sent me away and told me to use a water pick....... Got a 2nd opinion from a well known ENT and am getting them removed asap.. turns out theres a chance they could be cancerous. Shame on these specialists, so very disappointed.
2 hour wait to see the doc. ☹
Extremely professional, knowledgeable, and always takes the time to thoroughly explain the situation you are in (for myself it was an ear infection). Dr Yammine has a wonderful disposition, and her staff are always pleasant and patient. Very nice clinic, the entire team was very helpful. We are extremely lucky to have an ENT of this caliber in our area. Thanks for taking such great care of me folks!
In March I went in for a septoplasty and turbinoplasty. The entire experience was amazing I never felt scared! After the surgery I had some discomfort and minimal pain. During the time of recovery I had little to no pain just irritation from the splints being in! From the original appointment to the procedure she was able to answer any questions I had. Dr yamine is an excellent surgeon, I would recommend her to anyone who needs an ENT consult!!
Dr. Yammine really cared for our son after going to a number of ENTs who failed to diagnosis correctly or rectify the issue. Not only did she diagnosis correctly, she was able to put a plan together to resolve the problem. She was very professional, personable, confident in resolving the issue. We are grateful for Dr. Yammine's strong skills and level of care she provided. Forever grateful parents. Highly recommend Dr. Yammine!
One word... AMAZING! I had surgery back in October of 2019 to remove a tumour in my neck (by a different surgeon). Unfortunately, I ended up with nerve damage and a paralyzed vocal cord. I couldn't speak properly, had issues breathing, swallowing and choking on a daily basis. I spent many months in pain while waiting to see specialists from Windsor to London. After advocating for myself, I asked to go see Dr.Yammine (recommended by HDGH staff). Despite EVERYTHING being shut down by Covid, Dr. Yammine's office contacted me to set up a phone meeting. She was very professional and extremely detailed and knowledgeable about the vocal cord augmentation procedure she was suggesting. As soon as Covid restrictions were loosened, Dr.Yammine's office contacted me to set up a date for the procedure in hospital. From the minute Dr.Yammine and the Speech Language Pathologist, Nicole Drew finally met me in person, I felt like family. They treated me with the utmost respect before, during and after the procedure. They were extremely kind, patient and careful throughout the procedure and even took the time to wipe my tears. Dr.Yammine even went through the video footage of the procedure to let me see how severe my paralysis was and what was done step by step. After months of waiting and feeling helpless, I finally felt alive again. There's still a long recovery ahead with more procedures/injections (due to the permanent severity of vocal cord damage) but I am confident with the medical help I am receiving. I am in good hands. I'm now in Speech Therapy with Nicole Drew and learning to live with my 'new normal'. I cannot stress enough the utmost respect and gratitude I have for Dr.Yammine for being such an amazing ENT and person. God bless her!
So I recently got my ears pinned back because they stuck out and it has always bothered me. I am 28 and I just cant thank Dr. Yammine and her team enough. I absolutely LOVE my new look! On top of her AMAZING skills, her team was Phenomenal, always making sure i was comfortable. I can't wait to wear my hair up and feel comfortable this summer! HIGHLY RECOMMEND. THANK YOU!!
Dr. Yammine changed my life ..I had been living with a deviated septum and chronic sinusitis for more than 25 years .. I hadn’t breathed through my nose in 25 years or more and now I can breath through my nose and my eyes are not weeping anymore .. You might have to wait to see her but she is SO WORTH THE WAIT !!!! Thank you so Much Dr .Yammine !!!
DR. YAMMINE is an incredible Doctor, so very thankful I was referred to this ENT. Very knowledgeable and great bedside manor during the consultation in 2019. Very welcoming in her office and wanted the best for the patient. Due to the pandemic, the surgery was delayed but no fault of Dr. Yammine just global circumstances. She was very down to earth and made you feel comfortable. I had my tonsils removed at the end of August 2020, Dr. YAMMINE was a great surgeon, no complications during or after surgery. I would recommend Dr. YAMMINE to everyone, fantastic. Thank-you so much Dr. Yammine Sincerely, Lauren Clark
I am very grateful and I would certainly highly recommend Dr. Yammine, her team and Dr Paintsil to care for me. Seeing the doctors prior surgery, discussing and open for questions was reassuring... Behind the scenes are receptionists who are a refreshing, pleasant support and organizers. When you are on the other side each little touches is really huge to the patient. Words cannot express how thankful I was receiving such excellent, supportive, compassionate care. Dr. Yammine did fantastic job on my surgery, you really know your field of expertise. I know you put your heart and soul into each case. Thank you Dr. Yammine and Dr.Paintsil for taking note of my spine restrictions - very comforting. Thank you for ordering anti-nausea anesthetic, it was such a great relief, one less thing to deal with. Thank you also Dr. Paintsil for providing and administering the proper medication, great job, nice zzz’s Thank you Dr. Yammine for asking about allergy to tape - you have no idea how your body reacts. Thank you Dr. Yammine and anesthetist Dr. Paintsil, nursing staff, all the other support staff, even for the porter explaining route on way to the O.R. friendly family. All combined team staff were all such a reassurance experience making me feel I was IN THE BEST OF HANDS. Caring people from the heart goes a long ways !!! Thank you so much !!! Doctor Yammine and her team are all very professional with scheduling and medical attention. I have had surgery recently and found her to be very skilled and knowledgeable. Chatham hospital also had excellent patient care and facilities especially with Covid precautions. I have had excellent care start to finish. Highly recommend this Doctor.
I was originally referred to Dr. Yammine in April 2018. My appointment was not scheduled until February 2019. On the day of my appointment I waited 2hrs past my scheduled appointment time before seeing the doctor. After meeting with her for only 10 minutes we agreed I would have surgery and I was told to call her office to schedule a date. The first attempt to schedule my surgery I was told Dr. Yammine would be gone for 3 weeks on vacation and they were not scheduling surgeries until she returned. After 3 weeks had passed I tried calling again since I had not heard from the office and I was told since she was on vacation they were behind and I would hear from them soon. By the time I was given my surgery date I already had my schedule for work and had to change the surgery date as I would need 2 weeks off of work to recover. My surgery was then scheduled May 22, 2019 (on a Wednesday). I was informed that I would be in a great deal of pain following my tonsillectomy, although the day after my surgery I was in so much pain I could barely even swallow my own saliva. My boyfriend attempted to call the doctors office for me on Thursday as I could not speak due to the pain. The secretary Jennifer told him that as per her "cheat sheet" I should be taking liquid Tylenol and Advil alternating. The problem was that I was prescribed liquid Tylenol and Morphine. I was also confused because following a tonsillectomy you are at risk for bleeding up to 21 days after surgery and Advil has blood thinning properties (I only know this because I am a nurse). My boyfriend questioned Jennifer about this and she said she would contact Dr. Yammine and get back to us. Three hours had passed and we did not hear back so my boyfriend tried calling again, we were given the same suggestion to take Advil with the Tylenol and was told the doctor was too busy to speak to us directly, but she said she would contact her again for us. A few hours had passed again and it was passed 5pm so the office had closed and we did not hear back from them. The following day (Friday) the pain was still unbearable, my boyfriend tried to contact the doctor again and we had the same issue as the day before. I could have went and sat in the emergency room for 3.5-5 hours (this is what WRH emergency wait times were online these days) due to my pain, but as per my discharge instructions I was told to avoid public places for 2weeks to avoid any infections. My discharge instructions also clearly stated to contact my doctor if I had any issues. All I wanted from Dr. Yammine was confirmation that it was safe to either take the Advil that her secretary was told to tell patients to take or to see if there was something else she or I could do to help better manage my pain. On Saturday I finally received a call from Dr. Yammine directly, although I was thankful to hear from her, I felt as if I was inconveniencing her. She told me that she "normally does not have issues with patients where she has to call them after surgery and that she came in on a Saturday just to call me because of the e-mail my boyfriend had sent her." I understand as a doctor seeing many patients that she is a busy woman, but 5 minutes of her time on either Thursday or Friday would have saved her the trouble of having to contact a patient on a Saturday. She instructed me NOT to take Advil as her secretary told us and that these were instructions for her to give to children who have had their tonsils removed. To continue with my frustration, I contacted her office on Thursday May 30th at 11:15 am to see about getting a fit to work note before returning to work on June 6th as the facility I work at requires this. At this time my follow up appointment was scheduled for June 28th which I was unable to attend and also wanted to try and reschedule. Today is Wednesday June 5th at 3:00pm and I have still not heard back from them. Although I do not doubt Dr. Yammine's surgical capabilities, I believe that acknowledgment and punctuality from both her and her staff play a huge roll in satisfaction of one's experience.
I had an amazing experience with doctor Yammine, she did both my kids surgeries, son 9 yrs and daughter 7 yrs. the medication she prescribed was great, my kids were not in pain at all. I feel truly blessed to have such great doctors in our midst. God bless you for being such a great help to our family. Margaret. R.
On March 12 I had a Septoplasty done by Dr. Yammine. From the first consultation to the follow up appointment after surgery I got to know a little about this surgeon she is a very caring understanding person. She made me feel at ease and was very confident in her speech and actions answered any questions I might have had explained the procedure thoroughly. While recovering I had very little pain and discomfort. I would recommend Dr. Yammine to anyone needing to see an ENT Many thanks to her again Think I forgot what it was like to breathe properly
My name is Dave. I saw Dr. Yammine for a deviated septum and subsequent septoplasty surgery. She noticed that I had a thyroid issue and saved my life. She is an amazing physician and human being. She is the best!!! There is no better. So happy to have had such an excellent physician.
Dr. Yammine recently performed a skin graft on my scalp after removing a large lesion. She is a wonderful surgeon and I couldn't be more pleased with the result.
