I am a patient of Dr. Lau, and I find her to be professional, caring and very knowledgeable. She takes a proactive approach to healthcare, which I appreciate. Dr. Lau does not hesitate to recommend referrals if she deems them necessary. I cannot comment on walk-in experience as I have always scheduled appointments. The clinic staff have always been courteous. I'm very happy with this clinic.

To start with, receptionist is the most incompetent Ive seen. We were there earlier for the appointed time. We waited for at least 2 hrs. Word appointment is no use to them. Second, when we came, we are ahead, then came another patient which they took them in ahead of us. Basically if you're not known to them (receptionists) you are nothing. Especially if you're new.

Very impressed with my experience here !! This is mostly a 'family doctor's office', so appointments are recommended (rather than a walk in). After waiting 3 hours, Dr Grant was very understanding and apologetic, even though she was the only one working that night! The front desk attendant, was very friendly as well. This is the best service i have had from a clinic in a long time, i would recommend this place to anyone looking for a family doctor or a walk in clinic.

GO ANY WHERE BUT HERE !The doctor here , Mrs Suresh was completely rude and showed lack of concern. My wife came in with a terrible headache several times. She prescribed t3's for headache. When we came back...the Mrs Suresh accused my wife of being a pill popper!!! My wife has since died of a brain tumor. The Mrs suresh, Never sent her for MRI or for further tests. My wifes surgeon and other doctor said the this doctor failed us in a big way. As have others of this ilk. Receptionist is great. I blame the Mrs for my wifes death and suffering. We will not forge nor will our chilldren!! Not every who has pain is an addict.

The front office is overworked, but amazing. However. Dr. Leo’s concern with appointment attendance is unacceptable. The front office is paralyzed by this and have no choice to take part. I can only assume. Every refill, every concern...is a three part attendance scoring record. Cash grabby. Tsk tsk Ryan. The stars are for the front office only.

I would like to take the time to thank Dr. Liesel Gillies and the staff at Thorncliffe Medical Centre.I originally came to the clinic in September 2020 as a walk-in.(The clinic was recommended to me by a family friend as i was new to Calgary) I had previously been misdiagnosed with several ailments which were hindering my quality of life.Dr. Gillies recognized and treated several issues for me and my overall health has improved significantly (both mental and physical).My deepest appreciation. Really bad. Bad doctor and front staff. Not worth a wait. I could have driven to Saskatchewan in the time I waited and I couldn't have finished a Twinkie in the amount of time spent with me by the doctor. Avoid.

They’re sign says open till 5pm but yet the doctor was gone by 3:45, I guess golfing is more important than helping people. What a way to run a clinic!

These people have so much adetude thinking it's us needing them, Healthcare is free and there are dozens of walk in clinics that are available to help. Last thing I need is being sick and getting adetute from some front desk lady that thinks she's the doctor. And the wait is always so long ,

My first visit was pleasant until I returned for a follow up about my child. The front staff were very pleasant and when they sat me in the room with my son, the doctor came in almost immediately.She did not even speak to us for almost 6 minutes before finally asking his name ect... I tried to explain my case to her, but she did not listen. She tried to rush through with a prescription for him without even paying mind to any of the ailments I was talking about. Sadly after words were exchanged on my part about how I felt she was not listening to me..she THREW HER HANDS UP IN THE AIR, CROSSED HER ARMS and proceeded to tell me she was "listening" to me. I was very mistreated at this clinic and would not recommend this Dr to anyone.

Wonderful clinic! Dr Love cares deeply about every patient and it shows. the front staff and office manager are friendly and hard working. I wouldn't go to any other clinic. This one's the best!!

Worst nurses in I have ever seen not only did they sit there and stuff there faces with doughnuts while my niece waited to get here needles teriffied. They then proceed to take her into the hallway and yell at her and physical assault my sister. Worst pile of garbage i have ever seen in my life never bring your kids to these ignorant nurses

Dr. Love is incredible and the staff are all awesome. I've been going here for over 5 years now and Dr. Love has saved my butt more than a few times. One of the most thorough dr's I've ever had. She truly is an advocate for your health along with you. The staff are great and know you by name. Clean and friendly but agree...this isn't really a great walk in clinic. It's better to make an appointment. Dr love takes the time needed with each patient which is awesome. I would say hands down the best Dr. In the city. Up to date with new research and information and doesn't just push pills. Really can't say enough about how awesome this clinic, it's staff and Dr. Love are.

I went in to see Dr. Leo about my pregnancy and he was extremely rude. He came off judgemental and embarrassed me to the point that I walked out. I will never go there again. Very bad experience.

THIS IS NOT A WALK-IN CLINIC. This is a clinic where if the doctor has time to see you between patients you can walk-in. Don't waste your time going here on a Walk-in Basis. You will wait FOREVER no matter where you are on the walk-in list.

Thorncliffe is my neighbourhood walk in clinic. I like it there as the doctor takes time to make sure all your questions are answered. My daughter was real sick and front staff made sure she was looked after quick. I will recommend this place any time.The front staff are the best I have seen at any clinic. They greet you with a smile and treat you like a person and not a number. I like the fact that you can sign in and return and don't loose your place in line like some other places. Every doctor that I've seen there are top notch. I was referred to a specialist and the staff called me to make sure I was aware of the appointment. Best follow up from other places I have been. If you want good medical help that's the place to go.

Dr. Ryan Leo is the best, im very happy to have have him as my family doctor. Dr. Leo is always there for his patients and booking an appt isn't a problem, the receptionists are very nice and friendly would definitely recommend.

Sadly one of the most unprofessional and rude clinics I've been to. The girls at the front are extremely rude and don't care for their clients what so ever. I've never had a good experience with talking with the girls, they always give attitude . when I ask for my personal medical records they said they'd have to call me later and I might get them in a week. So unprofessional, thankful I switched Dr's when I Did because even my Dr. took a medical leave & had me jumping through hoops trying to get answers on my health issues & still 5 years later nothing has come out of it. I've always had to push so hard to get tests done, never felt she cared about my health.

I've had to visit this clinic a few times over the last 2 months. I just wanted to take a second to say that the manager Agata has always done a great job at making sure that I walk into a warm welcoming environment. She really is a pleasure to be around, and I would recommend this clinic based on her customer service alone!

I have been going to this clinic for a few years and have always found the Doctors and staff to be very friendly professional and knowledgeable. It is always a pleasure to walk in and have Agata and Annete greet you with a smile. Everyone tries to have you seen by the Doc. as soon as possible. Sue the office manager is very friendly and can be a great source of information. As a walk in I have found the wait to be reasonable and the staff to be understanding. Having my family Doc there I have been able to get an appointment in a few days and have been able to adjust the times to suite my time. I have only had to wait 10 or so mins and have at times gotten in earlier. It is always nice to able to see someone and know you are being cared for.

The Asian doctor I saw was arrogant, and not someone I would see again. He slouched in his chair and asked me "what else" I was feeling during my panic attack over and over. Not impressed. And yes, I get it that doctor's seem to think that anxiety is something "we" should be able to sort out. The rest of the staff was great. I have anxiety issues and he sent me home with a comment, "that I should see my family doctor in 3 weeks. Not impressed. And not sure of his name. Will never go again. Truly awful.

Went in for a sore throat/flu. Was told wait was a hour. Didnt get seen for two hours. Once I finally did see the doctor, took a swab of my throat said "yeah that looks bad. If it gets worse you'll have to go to a different clinic" no medication given no nothing. Just a swab 20 bucks for a note because I've had to take work off and thats it. Edit: they phoned today (6 days later) turns out I had strep throat. Wanted me to come in for antibiotics AFTER I spent a bunch of money on over the counter meds trying to fight it off. Wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Dr. Gillies is the best of the best. After several significant health issues including an adrenal gland removal, ovary removal and hypothyroid due to auto-immune all my hormones were out of whack and I was feeling terrible. Dr. Gillies used her expertise to quickly get me back on track and continues to follow up with friendly care and ensures I stay happy and healthy! I wouldn’t trust my health to anyone but her right now!

Doctor Monica Lau has been my family doctor for two years ... she is warm and welcoming and concerned always about myself and my daughter ... dr Monica is the best !! Also on occasion I have seen doctor Shannon grant and she is also fabulous !! These two doctors have very caring personalities ... I would never change doctors ...

The staff at the front are rude and unprofessional. On one occasion I payed $20 for a sick note and one of the ladies typed my name completely incorrectly, I asked for a new note with my correct name and they declined. I was recently told they were not taking walk-ins 7 hours before their closing time.

Wonderful clinic with caring staff and doctors. I have been a patient here for 10 plus years. Both Agata and Annette are excellent with patients and I admire their patience when dealing with unreasonable people. Dr Love is the best doctor I have ever seen and I am on her waiting list to become a patient. The walk in doctors have all been good and the follow up is much better than other walk in clinics. I would definitely recommend!

The front desk lady was nice and helpful. Wait time for walk in was about 1.5hrs. Dr. Lau was very efficient and gave me the forms for xray exams if I want to do it. Because I was out of province, I had to pay $50 upfront and was told that once my province pays the bill I'd be reimbursed. All payments are in cash only though, no credit card or debit card.

I called in for an appointment on a Tuesday and none were available, so I came in for a walk in. I was told the wait didnt look too bad if i came right away (which i did). I waited about an hour and then went to the front for an update. I was told there were only 3 infront of me and it should be about another half an hour. I waited an extra hour and went back to the check at which i was advised it would be at leat another hour. At this time i was advised to go home and come back later. Apparently the day before the wait was up to 4 hours. Terrible place for walk ins and the chairs are all metal so your back is aching by the end of your wait.

I have been a patient of this clinic for over 5 years now. I am amazed at how much they care about their patients. Including calling me outside of office hours during COVID to check in and see how my family and I were doing and ensure we were managing the stress and were healthy. I have found the front staff to be friendly and caring. They promptly relayed messages or concerns to the doctors while the office was on limited hours and also showed their concern for the health and well being of my family. I am referring all of my friends and extended to this clinic!!

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Dr. Love was very kind and professional. There are some very poor reviews on here, which may be circumstantial. I was in at just after 11 in the morning on a very busy Monday, 2 hour wait. I asked if I could come back in roughly an hours time, was told yes and won't lose my spot in line. Returned an hour or so later, waited 20 minutes, was then looked after. Again, very welcoming staff. Made me laugh numerous times. For a busy Monday, I couldn't do it like they did.

Reception girl was nice but not the doctor Andrew Jervis, really unprofessional!! Was there with my daughter, my phone keeps ringing, I didn't pick it up as its seem little disrespectful, but text msg kept coming up, and I had to answer so I replied a quick text so that person can stop calling ( of course the doctor didn't care even if it's emergency, as he didn't know what's it about. And I'm a mature woman not just do messaging etc for fun)but Mr Jervis walked out the room while I was trying to do that and he came back in with the prescription and thrown it to me and said : when you use your phone, the conversation is over, then walked out. I mean, it's my bad but if thing was not urgent I would never did that, he didn't ask me the reasons or at least show his professionalism , perhaps say something politely : please show some respect by not using your phone etc instead of walked out and thrown the prescription to client???
