I've been coming here for over 4 years and my family doctor is great, he listens to me and takes me seriously, however the reception staff are rude both in person and on the phone, the old reception staff was very polite and friendly, I hate to say it but it's even got too busy to see my doctor in a timely manner for my complicated conditions, I also had an appointment mid February that I had lost the appointment card for and they promised to call me to confirm the appointment, nobody called me.

My wife had an ankle sprain this weekend, and a nasty fall hitting her head because of it. I didn’t know if we could get in, but I had heard from some my patients about Humana medial clinic at Dalhousie Station in Calgary. It was about an hour before they close, so I wasn’t to sure what to expect. Even though they were close to closing they did fit us in with Dr. Umaru Ahmadu-Ali. Dr. Umaru Ahmadu was excellent. He is a very competent, knowledgably, empathetic physician who I am very comfortable referring my own patients to. Great job to the whole team at Humana Medical Clinic.

First time I've been truly impressed by a walk-in clinic in Calgary. Dr. Ali is fantastic. He truly listens and adopts an almost detective-like, evidence-based approach with a patient. The other admin staff are great as well.

One of the worst experiences of my life! Dr. Guevara is a horrible human being. My 20 year old daughter went in at maybe 1 week to 2 weeks pregnant and was looking for help to end it. Most clinics, not a problem. This woman made her feel like s***, and flat-out told us that she does not condone abortion and would have nothing to do with it. In Alberta, women have the choice. My daughter is trying to make the smart choice at this time in her life and was made to feel extremely ashamed. I will never go back here ever!!!!!!

They still have Dr. Sockanathan on the message and online, but I was told he isn’t there anymore. Five stars for Dr. S. He was the only reason to go here; most of the staff, especially front end, are the worst. Phone at opening and you can’t get a walk in appointment at a walk in clinic, absolutely useless as a medical facility and should have their walk in title removed. Even booked appointments take months, sorry I’m sick now not months from now.

Have been waiting for 3 weeks for lab results, Calling every week for an update. Finally they tell me that they have results but I need an appointment. So I book an appointment, and then when I call to confirm it, after giving me a choice from 2 options and confirmed the day before, and they tell me they've given it away. Superb.

Dr. Sockanathan Sanjeeve is one of the best doctors I've ever seen. He's easy to talk with, knowledgeable, funny & makes you feel at ease. The girls (reception & nurse) at the front are really nice too! Highly recommended :)

I’ve been with this clinic about more than 2 years. My family physician, Dr. Guevara, is very nice and professional doctor. Dr. Oyeniren is also very good doctor who I’ve saw few times when Dr. Guerava on vacations. The front desk girls has been changing frequently. I was not satisfied before around 2017-2018. However, the girls who work currently, are friendly and helpful. For whole parts, this clinic is the best in my mind. Doctors always try their best to be punctuated without rush! Thanks for taking care of me and my family! Love you guys!

My family doctor here never even tries to listen to what I explain about my health condition. Whenever i try to explain anything, instead of making eye contact with me and listening to what i am saying, she just turns towards her computer and begins typing things. I mean it feels so embarassed that you are trying to explain your health condition and the doctor does not even seems concerned or interested AT ALL. Also, last time i was suffering from some issues and she bluntly told me that for a walk-in I only take 1 issue. What if someone is really in pain for some reasons? Being a doctor your priority should be to listen to the patient, talk to him and explain whats wrong with him but she just gives requisition to get tests done and that's it! It does not solve a patient's problem.

After 5 years of going to Humana, my experience here has declined. The doctors and nurses/assitants here are amazing, they deserve 5 stars. But the new staff is terrible, specifically the front desk. From having them work on their nails, eating chips while talking to you, speaking in any other language besides English while talking to coworkers in front of patients, horrible customer service skills and the fact that I cant get an appointments up to a month. I will say I have decided to take my business elsewhere.

These are amazing people and such a happy work place...they're honest and polite especially in the times of busy scheduling. The doctors are awesome and your more then just a written prescription. ..I wouldn't go anywhere else ....every times been wonderful experience and it always smells so nice as well. ..thumbs up

Front staff are terrible. They still don’t let clients know if a Doctor leaves the clinic or bother to set you up with a new doctor. The front staff also make errors on booking so when you go in they have no record and won’t see you. The doctors seem to apologize a lot for the lack of ability of their own staff

Dr. Sockanathan is our family doctor for the last five years. He is kind, knowledgeable and professional. Admin staffs are easy to work with as well. Even though we moved to a different location, we still have the same family doctor. Always had a very positive experience.

Went to this clinic for the first time on a Saturday morning as a walk-in patient. Dr. Sockanathan was very attentive, detailed and thorough. He ordered two radiographs and even asked his administrative staff to assist setting up the appointment. I received a call back Sunday morning to come back in and go over the results. He explained in very plain English the medical condition I had, and treatment. Best service and care I've experienced in many years. Front staff (wish I knew her name) was very helpful and kind.

I've been here several times and the staff has always been wonderful. I've seen only one person leave quite angry yelling at the doctor in the hallways, probably was asking the doctor to do something illegal. But the doctor always comes in cheerful and helps me. I think people just have issues. This place is perfectly fine.

Said they'll call me at a certain time. Finally they call me after 50 minutes of me waiting, right as I left the room to get some water. I literally called them back as soon as the voicemail notification popped up and got a message saying the clinic was closed. This was also within their advertised business hours. It seems like they have no intention of communicating with patients. Wouldn't recommend.

Quite simply the best medical experience I've had in Calgary ... Ever. The reception staff are upbeat, friendly and helpful. And Dr. Olu is by far the best family physician I've had in Calgary. He's caring, informed both on traditional and alternative treatments, is genuinely committed to getting to the root cause of my symptoms, and he takes the time to explain things and answer questions without being condescending. I can't recommend this clinic and Dr. Olu highly enough.

The worst medical clinic, they never have spots available for appoinments, they always refuse walk in even if it is allowed now, they are always with a bad actitude in the counter. I regret I got my family doctor here. They do not book appoinments until 9 am even if they are open and in service since 8 am... ????

This is the worst place I have ever dealt with, they are rude, inept, and incompetent. I don't think you could find worse service if you tried. I can't even get a straight answer on getting my records released to another physician. There is no follow through on patient care issues. My Doctor left, and there was no communication on his leaving. Ongoing referrals and tests were dropped and not handed off to another doctor in a timely manner. I could write plenty more, my only advice is to avoid this place at all costs...

The Humana Medical Clinic is a client focused group of medical doctors. The reception staff always call you the day before your appointment. The availability of appointments is awesome as they are open seven days a week. My family Doctor works at Humana and it is a very well managed practice. In my opinion the medical assistant team is one of the best I have experienced. My physician at Humana is Dr. Sockanathan and he is just the best. I feel so fortunate to be his patient as I have complex needs. Awesome clinic awesome medical team!

Not sure what the hype is. I came here after moving to the NW and good experience in the past with Dr. Doherty at Humana south. Waited ONE HOUR (with an appointment that I had to book 2 weeks in advance) to see Dr. Ali, who sat down with me for 2 min before rushing to the next patient. Clearly overbooked, poorly managed, or maybe just a bad day? Reception staff also did not provide any updates during the long wait. Save yourself some time and go to the south location for friendlier and faster service.

The staff at this clinic are friendly. Until I met Dr. Ali last week, I could trust the doctors here. Dr. Ali was busy with personal texts without checking my symptoms in detail. So the prescription was wrong and I got worse all weekend and had to go back to the clinic again.

The front end staff will refuse you an appointment and ask you to walk in, then when you arrive your always last on the priority list while every other person gets in ahead of you. I've been in multiple times and had this issue where even other walk-ins as well as prescription refills get pushed to the front of the line. Such a disorganized mess. Doctors are all nice if you can make it through the awful wait. On average your probably looking at close to 2 hours to walk in

When I first started going here the staff where friendly and welcoming. Wait times were reasonable and the doctor's took their time to make sure they covered all your problems. Now, reception staff are very abrupt and uncaring, and the physicians rushed and not thorough. To book an appointment with the family doctor takes about a week now.

Worst doctors office I’ve ever been too. The ladies at the front desk barely speak English they’re always speaking in some other language. My doctor takes weeks to get into if not months. The front desk ladies are extremely unprofessional and unhelpful. Apparently if you lose a prescription they can’t help you at all. Worst doctors office to go to period. Should be ashamed on how they run their practice and the people they hire to be the face of their office.

I have been seeing a Dr in this office for the last few years. He is very good... I have also seen his partners once in a while when he has been unavailable which is great.. at least I can used to always be able to see someone! The reason for my 1 star rating is the front desk staff These girls are RUDE, don't even look at you, when speaking to you. They giggle and chat between each other in a foreign language, which makes the patients very uncomfortable. They DONT understand what an EMERGENCY is. There was a lady that came in while my husband and I were in the waiting room and her daughter said they thought she was having a stroke, and that they had just been in the book store...so they came to Humana. They staff simply said to have a seat that there were 8 people ahead of her!! UNBELIEVABLE ! I have watched them eating chips and all sorts of snacks at the front desk, too busy to be kind to the patients or even answer the phones. I see one of them filing her nails alot . To me this is very unacceptable behaviour. It is very hard to get an appointment anymore, and we (there are several people in my building that come here) are considering filing a formal complaint with the powers that be...I hope that this situation can be rectified and very SOON

Tried to make an appointment to see a Dr at this location and was unable to do so. I was forced to be a walk-in patient first. This doesn't work for me as a busy person i don't have time to walk in and HOPEFULLY get in sometime in the next few hours. I can't imagine i'm the only person that finds this outrageous?

Went once to try them out as they were welcoming new patients. Wasn't overly thrilled with the front staff or the doctor. Tried again just recently and was disappointed again. I will not be returning.

Dr Alli is the BEST doctor in the universe! He always listens very intently and tries to find the root of any issues I may be having. He doesn't just assume nothing is wrong. He is fantastic with my kids and is one of the smartest people I've ever met. We are moving soon so I will definitely miss this Doctor. This guy has saved my life, I had a doctor at northland medical clinic who refused to listen what i had to say , I was missing my monthly visitor and i was gaining weight , but i wasn't pregnant the doctor kept sending me for blood work over and over again and refused to do anything else and said oh ill send you to another specialist, I said enough is enough i went to a walk in clinic and saw Doc Ali , he cut to the chase and i had all kinds of tests ( not just blood) to get to the root of the problem it took 2 visits and that was it! Then i had the meds i needed to be on!!! HANDS DOWN CARES ABOUT HIS PATIENTS!

Twice now I have made an appointment with Dr. Ali and still been in the waiting room an hour after my appointment time. The front desk staff is useless when you ask them why. I don't know they even offer appointments. They should just be a walk in clinic

Terrible Clinic and Service from reception to doctors. I had an appointment with someone who called herself as Dr.Lee....to my understanding she needs to learn the alphabet of communication. I was the only one at the clinic on that time and she spent time with me around 1.5 minutes....That is all....while I was asking her questions she told me "my time is tight"....Come on....are you joking...1.5 minute is the only time that you can give me? Also my husband had difficulty with his hearing because of his ear' vax....she again spent just 3 minutes with him....we have been in this clinic for almost 7 years and to my knowledge the way that they are dealing with patients are shameful. ..I am not an asset for you Dr.Lee just to earn money for 1.5 minutes. service. There is no Zero Star....that is something that I would like to give them...also will open a complain with AHS

I called in twice today at 12:15ish and 1:30pm to have my face check up for an allergie or what not and the girl in the phone sounds so unprofessional and unattentive. I believe she was in a hurry and wants to hang up the phone right away without answering my questions clearly and completely. If you are in the costumer service, you should be patient in attending your calls. You are chosen to serve the doctors “patients”. You should think to serve people and not just coz your working there. You disappointed me twice today. If you read my review today. Hopefully this gives you a heads up and sooner you will change for the better and be a good example for everyone. Know how to deal the patients with patience and understanding. God bless you.

We have been with the clinics since they opened their clinics at Dalhousie. Wonderful and doctors are very friendly. Today, I went to get prescription refill for my son. I did not have the names of the medication (I am not familiar with the medical terms or medicines), but I told the doctor he has been taking these two medication for the last several months or even year or so. Then, I got the prescription from the doctor. The two medications listed in her prescription were the ones we recently requested from a doctor when our son was going on a school hiking trip (it was some sort of emergency medication). My understanding is that I request for refill and provide information on how long the medication has been taking, the doctor should be able to check in their system to prescribe correct ones. If I am wrong, I am sorry. If that is true, may be the responsible professional(s) should spend few extra second to listen non-medical information and get the right medicine.
